Who doesnt love southern maid donuts?! Its always providing excellent service, has fresh donuts and is rich in history for our community! Truthfully, they need to be a landmark with some of the famous people theyve had visit them!

I tried for three consecutive days to get hot glazed at this location. My vacation is ending but I notice a line in the drive through and thought they just might have some. And they DID! So glad I was able to experience the smell and taste I remembered from my childhood. Hot and delicious! The best donuts ever!

Definitely worth the wait but very inconvenient that only the drive thru is open. If another shop was in the area, I would avoid this location all together.

I am from California, we dont have hot donuts where I am from. But, we really need them in Cali! These were amazing, service is always friendly. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait with the drive thru. It is so worth the wait!Hot fresh and oh so yummy!!

From Arkansas, now residing in Northern California since 70s. I grew up in the south and many of my family/friends still live in these parts and areas. No one does the round thing with the hole in it like the people here! You dont have to take my word for it, be here at five a.m. and you will see what Im talking about!

Hot donuts in the early morning and late evening, theyre highly busy around those times but its worth the wait, sometimes the wait can be overwhelming if you in a rush so its best you dont have to be in a hurry trying to pull up and go cause its going to be a wait time regardless

I love this place! My family and I have been coming here since i was a kid growing up in Louisiana. Every time we make a trip to visit family we never leave without a few dozen donuts.

My husband and I drove from the one on Hearne Ave that was closed until 3pm. I must say this location didnt disappoint. The half dozen we got was hot and oh soooooo good!!! We were passing through while traveling. If you want an awesome donut you must go here. 😋😋😋😊😊😊

I must say, My Wife and I were kinda doughnut hungry after a great dinner of fish from another establishment and we decided to go to Southern Maid Donuts and get us a dozen of their FANTASTIC doughnuts and FANTASTIC they were. We get a hankering for doughnuts occasionally and I must say, SOUTHERN MAID DOUGHNUTS ARE THE BEST.

Best donuts ANYWHERE! I love this location because I get to watch the wonderful employees pull my donuts from the oil, glaze them, slide them in the box, and hand them to me 5 seconds later. They are little glazed clouds of happy that literally melt in your mouth! Cant say enough good things! Do yourself a favor- try these donuts! You wont be sorry!

You can never get Chocolate donuts. Every time we go they say they are only cooked 1 time a day. Very disappointed

The employee was rude and stuffed too much into one large box. I asked her to put the cinnamon rolls into a separate bag because the box wouldnt close. She argued with me and I had to request she put the cinnamon rolls into a separarte bag a second time before she complied with request.

Theres a young lady that worked there who was rude, short, not very welcoming, well to make a long description short she had no customer service skills. When your main job is to take the orders once would think youd pay attention, nope not her. I am still puzzled trying to figure out how do you mess up a donut order? Well I can kind of see getting a cinnamon roll, and a glaze donut mixed up. (Sarcasm) But, how dare you get a attitude with me because you messed up the order. I literally drove 7 miles from the hotel only to get annoyed.

These r the best donuts in the south. When my family come in town they always want to get a few dozen, however the service is horrible. An they never answer the phone. They are supposed to close at 10 but no one is there half of the time. If the hours have changed they need to update it on Google and on the damn door.

Service has gotten better over the years believe me they use to treat customers like being human alone had no value. Their morning donuts are hotter now which is an additional plus if they keep this up they might have a shot at restored reputation being parallel to the quality of historic SMDonuts

Donuts are never fresh or even warm. Theres times weve gone around 6 am and theyre cold. I can never rely on SM to have fresh donuts. Today I went at 8:30 and of course theyre cold... Also, I asked for half dozen of glazed and half chocolate. I got over 2 dozen glazed. Theyre not friendly, so I wont even bother going back, to tell them its not what I ordered...

What have I done? I have consciously contributed to heart disease inducing kingpins. Dont go here; the hooks will sink in deep and you will find yourself crying in the shower, filled with shame at how many round slabs of dough slathered in oh so sweet glaze or chocolate you ate. The shame/reward ratio tips further and further with each buttery, warm bite. Add a drink of cold milk and you are in for an evening of regret that will disappoint you in so many ways. With gleeful despondency I will return.

I would love for a manager to contact me about this- These are my favorite donuts and I grew up eating these in Shreveport. This past visit there was some confusion or miscommunication over what I was wanting. And I know there was a line behind me but I was trying to make it as simple as I could, One of the girls was trying to work with me but the math was just not coming out right on what she charged me. The other girl behind the counter was extremely impatient and she told me if I already paid theres no way that they could work with me . It was not very good customer service- Sadly for a reputable business like this. I think the manager needs to go over some customer service edit kit with their employees

Southern Maid Donuts with a pretty amazing taste sensation on our vacation from Georgia. I had no idea when we visited Texas that Donuts would be the sweet treat of choice, but with Shipley Donuts, Southern Maid Donuts, and a billion other one shot wonders, its obvious that people in Texas do love their donuts!

Worst doughnuts ever in the morning. They are little and hard.I got a batch that seem to have had mold on them. Like they where made the day before. Not that much better in the evenings. I use to love Southern Maid but they are not the same. Service sucks also. No more Southern Maid for me.

Molded donuts. When I told them my 6 year old niece ate them, they said it was grease particles and if I wanted my money back. Not sorry or anything. So disgusting!!!!!!!! Never would go here again.

I’ve loved this location for a long time, loved the 1st store as well. Lived in the area when I was I younger, small bike ride up the hill just past Jim’s Joy.
