I hate to give this review, because I had an overall great experience with the staff, but what I was sold left me very disappointed and I dont know if I would shop here again. To be honest I feel cheated and as if it was all a display to play me. Unlike most shoppers, I know vehicles and the mechanics of them. Im not a blind buyer.I purchased a diesel pickup that I had seen online for $19999. It was a 2006, had 137k, was fully loaded, and seemed nice from the photographs. I drove to see it, which was about a 1h 45m drive. The car salesmen were polite and helpful, but the truck wasnt perfect. It fit what was in my price range and there wasnt a huge selection to choose from anywhere near me. I looked it over and did notice a few dents, like on the tailgate and rear bumper, not really a big deal. There was a little rocker panel rust but nothing that couldnt be easily fixed for the most part, but the passenger rear cab corner would need to be repaired due to rust. The truck ran great and was overall pretty clean but a little high on the price range. I noticed it had factory style fender flares but made no deal of it or thought to check. (I mainly purchased this truck out of necessity and urgency due to my being stationed in North Carolina).Sure enough, I bought the truck and with out of state registration it came to around $21k. (Not to mention I did end up buying new tires barely 2 months later, which was another $1200). After further inspection a few weeks later when I got to it, I took the fender flares off and noticed more rust on the rear wheel wells and it wasnt easily fixable rust. Upon investigation, the truck had been previously patched for rust in those spots but done terribly so it rusted through again. (A new truck bed goes for $1200-1500.)But to top off the money pit, the transmission started slipping not even 5 months after purchasing. 2nd gear just about gone, and 3rd is going as well.I dont know if this truck was an auction purchase and just cleaned up and made to pass off for what they were asking but the condition of vehicle I bought is worth in the $12k range with a broken transmission and about $20k RUST FREE.NOT HAPPY AT ALL.If youre gonna lie and rob, at least dont do it to a service member.

Okay... Where do I begin? I was in a wreck a year ago so around October, when I was cleared to get a vehicle, I needed one ASAP... I went to this establishment based on the good reviews... they were wrong .... not even a week after I got my car from them, my head gaskets blew and left me stranded 2 hours away from home... Lee was nice enough to get me a ride back and to lend me a car while they fixed it, but when I called to inquire about the time frame, their salesman named Ken was very rude and condescending because the information he was telling me didnt match up to what I was originally told... When I told Lee how Ken acted towards me, he said he would take care of it... Well when I had to call back, Ken told me he was informed not to speak to me since I complained about him... really? We arent in elementary school... then I left a review stating all that had happened just to have Lee call me, asking me to change my review and that he has been in business a long time etc... so I did... Well then the car breaks down AGAIN and Lee states that he wont speak to me and that he is scared of me... stating he thinks I am trying to bring him down... No, Lee and Ken sold me a lemon and I want it made right... not long after, the alternator went out in the car and the timing chains need to be replaced..Lee offered to trade out my vehicle knowing it had problems for a car that cost lest than mine, had more miles and looked like it had been in a wreck. .I paid $2000 for a warranty just to be told stuff the is supposed to be covered, isnt ... I have been quiet on this for fear of repercussions from them, but what is wrong is wrong... the only bright spot was meeting Borris who had been absolutely amazing when I needed to contact someone. I am not saying to not buy from them, if you do, make sure you get it checked before you pay them a dime... or else you end up screwed over like me.... and for everything I have stated, I have text message screenshots with the little communication I was allowed from them. And there are more reviews like mine on here.

I was looking to purchase a newer Ford Flex and drove to Smithfield to see one that Perfect Ride had. I had called ahead and spoke to Boris. He met me on the lot and was friendly and helpful. When we test drove the Flex, Boris noticed the passenger A/C didnt seem to be blowing out. I loved the vehicle and went through the steps to purchase it. They wanted to send my Flex to their mechanic to get the AC checked so I left it overnight. After driving my Flex for barely a day some lights popped on and I called Perfect Ride. Long story short, they went above and beyond what most used car dealerships would have and spent extra money making sure my Flex came back to me in excellent mechanical order. Boris, Lee, and the rest of the Sales and Management team were great! Im glad I stuck it out with them and trusted them to be good honest people! Would definitely buy another vehicle from them!

Since we live 200 miles away the majority of the deal was done on the phone. Once I arrived at the dealership I was welcomed by Boris who had a very warm and inviting personality. We uncounted one problem throughout this entire process and that was that the Jeep was missing the spare tire and mount. Boris ensured me that he would get the tire from the previous owner who lived two hours away from Smithfield in Wilmington North Carolina. Boris drove down on his day off to get the items and was even willing to bring them to us in South Carolina. When buying my car, everyone was very friendly and made it very easy. I bought a kia and had to wait a little over a month and a half to physically receive the car because it needed a lot of work done. Once I finally received the car, it was fine. It has not been a full year yet, and I was informed that I need a new engine. The engine had been making a weird sound and gotten worse over time. The owner (forget his name) never informed me about the car being in an accident. The guy who took me for a test drive said he would give his own daughter the car, which obviously isnt true since there is more damage to this car then they told me. It hasnt even been a year, and I have to go car shopping again. Very disappointed in this place, and I would personally never buy a car from there again. Theyre only in it for the money and could care less about your safety.

My husband found a truck that he wanted. We were told the truck was in the shop with a ac problem. They were to call us when they got the truck back on the lot. We never received a call and later found out that they sold the truck from under us! I would never recommend this businessman to anyone!

My wife saw the Tahoe on the Facebook marketplace and wanted to casually inquire. We did, and drove the hour and a half up to see it. Boris greeted us promptly and professionally and we took it for a spin. We were approved in a matter of minutes but a customer just ahead of us was having difficulty. Lee worked diligently to get them approved and taken care of. That, I can appreciate even though it meant we had to wait....and wait we did, for the most of the day. During that time we sat and spoke at length with Boris and Frankie. It didn’t take long to discover these were both Christian men with strong convictions, thus solidifying my thoughts that we were dealing with an honest business with integrity. As I mentioned, I’m a harsh critic....but these guys were great. Never pushed anything. Just the way I used to train my salesmen. Great guys to do business with. Went and looked at a 2005 Lexus. The car was decent but the Salesman Mike Windham was RUDE AS ALL GET OUT. LOL some folks in the Small towns are still stuck in that Good Ole Boy Era. The bad part is Grandpa tried to insult me with saying I reckon you wasnt gonna buy the car anyway. Learn how to use proper grammar first and dress like a car salesman. Purchased Vehicle on Thursday 22nd Aug. believe. Vehicle was priced fair. I purchased No Haggle. We all know Haggle is Built in the price. I didnt haggle because I felt deal was decent, and i work long hrs i didnt have days to go back and forth. I am in the market for a truck also. Anyhow Battery dies on Day 3 (Sunday ). I called and Tried to get some type of help (common Courtesy) .. after a few calls Im told no help. You guys can be the Judge, buts its surely not how I do business. I certainly have No Respect for any place of business on day 3 problem occurs and told its my problem now.Ill never forget Mr. BAYSDEN in Kinston. Bought a used car from him the first week it had a ignition problem. He picked car up on a rollback had it fixed and delivered in 3 days. I ended up buying 3 more cars over the years, and refered many people. Sad he retired. People with integrity are hard to find these days.

Waste of time! Explained my situation and was told he had a bank that would approve me. After he ran my credit _(hard inquiry) was told no bank could approve me. Now we gotta have someone else run the credit. Be hinest upfront like I was. If its too hard say that....No repossesions at all. Open car loan reporting positive. Was needing a second loan.

Borris and staff are top notch sales crew very happy with service

I was interested in a truck they had for sale and was going to trade in mine. My salesman, Mike, was great and didnt pressure at all. That being said the sales manager was a joke. He tried to relate to me and my 16 month old daughter when I walked in just before offering me thousands ($4-5k) below my trucks trade in value. When I didnt accept his low ball offer he immediately asked my salesman where my keys were. Basically trying to shove me out the door because I didnt like his offer for my truck. His whole demeanor changed. To top it all off, when the sales manager was evaluating my truck he completely forgot to shut my hood. Luckily I caught it right after I got on the road but he almost bought me a new hood and windshield. You guys will never see me again thats for sure.

Got a GMC Acadia we where so excited due to the first car they gave us ran hot not even getting home so then we wanted our money back to only get a text saying they found us a perfect car and now the truck is in shop for the 3rd time and is costing us in all 5,000 worth or issues i hope your proud of your scammed service and cars the Diamond Warranty is a joke they dont want to pay for anything this had been reported to the DMV for selling cars that should not have passed inspection and should not be sold

Went in to look at the 02 Lexus and it had a multitude of problems. The worst part was that the sells man acted shocked and then tried to justify it being broken.

They are very nice and helpful in making a deal go through for the customer.

Has a great selection of vehickes

Truck been in the shop for about 3 months they havent given me another one to drive theyre diamond warrantrr dont want to pay for the whole thing what good is a warranty even if they do call it a extended

Bought a used car and yes I know it was a used car. Broke down exactly 24 hours later needing almost $700 worth of repairs. Seller said well what did expect for a used car. Crooked.
