Limited flexibility with scheduling. Do not arrive late. I arrived for my 8:00 am appointment at 8:07 am. Another person walked in before me. The young lady at the counter assisted him and I assumed that everything was fine regarding my appointment. When I got to the counter and said my name, I was told they have very strict policies and I would need to reschedule. I was disappointed and tried to explain that I had been standing in line waiting since 8:07 am, so I was told that I could sit and wait for the next available appointment. I’ve been waiting for over an hour, but I need my eyes examined.

I was in there today with my husband they made us both switch to there mask which was fine took our temp but 5 more people came in behind us and they didnt take the temp of 2 and none of them had to switch masks so how important is it

Don’t waste you time or money going into to this store! It’s not very welcoming...the woman at the counter is the rudest nastiest counter customer service representative ever!My husband and I walked out and never saw the doctor! Your employees are a reflection of your organization. I understand why they have a 2.8 star rating!We had gotten our appointment times mixed up....my husband was 15 minutes late and I was 15 minutes early and we were seeing the same doctor. No one was waiting in waiting area and the help was standing in the hall. Instead of asking someone in authority if they could still see my husband....she stated he was a NO SHOW and wanted to argue about confirmation about her calling us.He got a call from her about insurance information and he told her he was too busy to give it to her and he would bring it with him and she stated she called me and left me a message but SHE DID NOT! No messages or call on my phone .Save your money...time and effort....DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE....go were you are appreciated and respected!

I have been waiting since July 2020, for a refund, it is now December 20, 2020 and I am still waiting for my money!!!!! No one knows what the other is doing, I am about ready to contact a lawyer.I need to add to this review. The Smyrna store now has a new manager who was very helpful and understanding of my dilemma. After waiting months for a refund, she was able to help with my refund within 30 minutes!!!! I would like to thank Sabrina, manager (hope I spelled your name correctly) and (Baby who sits in the corner lol) for all their help and courtesy!!!!!!!! Added stars are for them.

Okay... I realize that a company is in business to make money but there are some things that have gone on while I have been coming here that has made me feel like they are more about making money and less about what I actually NEED in order to see properly. The ONLY reason I still come here is the gentleman named June that helps order your glasses after your appointment and not because of the drs. The Docs are alright but June is awesome! He is realistic and tells you how it is.

Called to make an emergency appointment for my husband who hurt his eye, and they gave his appointment away within 10 minutes of the call. I told them I would call right back to confirm the time would work. It was inconsiderate to give an emergency appointment away within 10 minutes of calling.

WHAT EVER YOU DO NOT COME HERE IVE BEEN WAITING SINCE AUGUST 2020 FOR MY REPLACEMENT GLASSES AND ITS NOW JANUARY 2021. I HAVE CALLED TWICE EVERY MONTH THEY REFUSE TO RETURN CALLS MESSAGES NOTHING. AND IM THE GOING THRU THIS FORTHE SECOND TIME BECAUSE THE FIRST I TOLD THE LADY WHAT I WANTED FINALLY GOT THEM AND ITS NOT EVEN WHAT I ORDERED.....THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER TIME BUT MY EYE DOCS NEED TO START GIVING PEOPLE FLOWERS BEFORE SCREWING THEM OVER..

I had an eye emergency today while on a road trip. I was so lucky to have found this highly professional and kind practice. They truly cared about my situation and took great care of me. The reception staff was awesome and the doctor was outstanding.

I brought my son in today for his first eye appointment. Luckily, he did not need glasses but I still had to pay a 20 dollar co-pay. I was not informed on the phone at anytime that i would have to pay a 20 dollar co pay. What if i didnt have 20 dollars on me? Luckily, I did, but it was the last 20 dollars I had to my name. I am extremely upset with this service and am even considering taking my son somewhere else for his next yearly visit. During times like these, it is not fair to blindside someone with a copay without a heads up.

Always an extremely long wait 4 1/2 hrs of waiting in 2 days first day was 3 hours second day is 1 hr 1/2. Now waiting AGAIN to pick up my glasses. The girl that helped me was not knowledgeable and needs to be trained better before or needs someone with her through the whole process until she knows what she’s doing. I don’t think I will come back to this location again which is ashamed do to it being soooo close to where I live. I wasn’t informed of any specials. Not called when my glasses were ready.

Dont even know where to begin. My glasses broke during the Pandemic and I made an appointment at this place because it was the closest to my house. I wasnt given any instructions prior as the office was just reopening after the shutdown. That was an over sight? Oh ok. No problem. After my exam I was offered a different brand to try than Ive used for 50 years. Again no problem. I was given a trial lens solution also..then sent back to the front where I was told to sit and the office staff person asked what type of frames I like, I said black frames and she brought over a few pairs from the wall. Other customer asked if she could browse the frames and was told yes she could. After being told the glasses would be around a thousand dollars I decided that was too much sinceI do have insurance which has always covered the cost of glasses or contacts each year. The calculation was done on the computer facing her so I had no idea what I was being charged for. She didnt explain how she came to that amount or anything. I didnt get a printout or price sheet for glasses or contacts. When I called to question how could I make a decision without figures in front of me I was told they dont have one. Meanwhile the first contacts were not comfortable so I was told to come back and they gave me a 2nd trial pair. This time I used the new lens solution and it felt like my eyes were on fire. Burning like I never had before. So both the pair were ruined. Rinsed with saline but no improvement. So Im right back where I started except now my eyes are damaged. Dont understand why you would give a person my age something like that but it was horribly painful and Im upset. It says it contains hydrogen peroxide? Yikes!I have been going to opticians for over 60 years and this experience I wouldnt wish on anyone. I guess I should have driven to Philadelphia to Pearl Vision, they treated me with kindness fairly and professionally for years. Nothing like this experience. This employee treated me like they didnt care one way or the other. Only the Dr was nice but the contact person before and after the exam, not particularly welcoming nor friendly. Or knowledgeable on customer service in a healthcare field. I am a former nurse so I have a extensive experience in treating patients with respect and kindness. I would not recommend anyone go here.

In 2013 I was seen and was flagged for high risk Glaucoma and was monitored for a year. I stopped going, but returned in 2018. With 5 years that past, the Doctor has the records and pictures to pick up where they left off and did an amazing job. I’m still High Risk for Glaucoma, and back to monitoring my condition. The techs, secretary and optical sales were all great.

I showed up for my apt at 1135 due to road construction, i was 5 min late and the kid outside said you have to wait, i waited and saw the number I called and was placed on hold, someone xame outside at 1144 and said sorry your outside the window. I waited 2 weeks for this apt.

I was 12 minutes late which is understandably not their fault. However they shared with me that their next appointment was not for almost 45 minutes from when I showed and and so I had to reschedule. They even said how the next person may not show up for their appointment. So why couldn’t they have taken me? I don’t know, personally I will be moving to the Dover office.

No flexabilitiy of appointments. I got scheduled an appointment and later got a call to see if I wanted to come in the following day instead, because there was an opening due to a cancellation. I went in that day and was told the doctor would not be coming in so my appointment was cancelled and I could not reschedule for the original appointment date because it was booked now. The new appointment I did get scheduled for was going to be hard for me to make seeing as I worked nights the night before, I tried anyway and ended up running 15 minutes late, which I understand is not there fault in the slightest. However if your running more then 15 minutes late your appointment is cancelled and I am now rescheduled again for almost a month and a half later. Staff was friendly and helpful though, its just there policy is poo.

This is the second time I have used this facility. It is clean, organized, and very efficient. I was pleased with everyone from the front reception, to the Dr. visit itself...including the assistants...and right through to the eyeglass fitting. I would recommend the Smyrna location.

This office seems not to care about their customers. My sons glasses was suspose to be fixed and returned but they will not call me back about the status. I left several messages and I am still waiting on them. Very disappointing.

Terrible experience, found a new eye doctor, this doctor refused to give me my 2 week acuvue oasis prescription (prescription i had been using for over 5 years) had me try daily and 30 days lenses, so a complete disregard for what i requested. AND was forced to pay $132 for my contact exam which was told to me AFTER my exam and refused to refund when i got on the line with my insurance THEN sent me 2 bills saying i owed $75- will not ever recommend !

The eye exam process itself is fine, the glasses are way overpriced and poor quality. Having to deal with them messing up my lens, it took a month to get them, over $400 With my insurance. Frames were all bent and twisted and had to take them back to be straightened out, their excuse was that happened when they replaced the lens, ok, don’t anyone check this stuff before yo deliver to the customer ? I expected a discount after the long wait and repeated return trips to rectify the problems, best the would do is extend the warranty on my glasses. I may get an exam there but I’ll never buy glasses there again.

Went into my appointment today. The front desk clerk has an attitude and was very rude and did not even look me in the eyes. My appointment was at 3pm. I wasn’t seen until 3:30. Was told that since I brought my prescription for my contacts, they would write me a new one after my exam. I was told this by 2 different technicians. After my exam the “doctor” told me that I would have to pay an additional $75 for my prescription. As I was walking out, I asked the technicians “why did they lie to me” their response was that they didn’t remember saying that. I thought this place would be better than Delaware Eye Care center but I was wrong.

Sadly this has been my second wrong prescription in the last 4 yrs with this company. I went back on the first wrong giving them the benefit of the doubt but 3 years later a second wrong reading. I went to another optometrist with a totally different reading..... needless to say Ill never be back.

Several weeks ago, I scheduled an appointment for an eye exam and somehow it was never put into their system (the receptionist explained they sometimes get busy and appointments get lost). Now I have to wait another few weeks to see a doctor. In the meantime, they were nice enough to tape up my broken glasses, hence the two stars.
