Dr. Emily Barron at the Smyrna location was AMAZING!!! Ive never experienced such a thorough eye exam in my 35 years of wearing contacts and glasses. It was the most in-depth and personalized service Ive received of any other retailer Ive been to. They were patient and explained everything to me regarding what my new glasses would be like since this was my first pair of progressive lenses. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
I called to make an eye exam because I don’t think my current prescription is correct. I had recently had an eye exam at a different business. The gentleman who was helping me schedule my appointment advised me to try calling the previous provider since it was a recent exam. He said that most places offer 60 day coverage for their prescriptions. I really appreciated his honesty and advice. Not a lot of people or businesses operate with integrity.I would highly recommend visiting this business
This location provides phenomenal service. Dr. Hall is so personable, yet professional, and didn’t rush my appointment at all. She discussed my exam results with me, and I felt confident she was steering me in the right direction. Kurt then assisted with helping me find frames, and was beyond patient with me. I was also elated to see how they adhered to and enforced COVID safety guidelines. They monitored the maximum guest occupancy in store, and gently asked for someone to wait outside once the maximum occupancy had been reached. As each pair of glasses was touched, they were cleaned by another associate before being placed back on display. This location is so well run, and I left smiling from having such a great experience.
I recently had the worst experience visiting & buying the eyewear here. There was a sales guy called Kurt, behaving arrogantly, did not listen to customers needs. I ended up choosing the wrong model of eyewear. He needs to learn how to talk to a customer and answer their questions. He never explained any details on different kind of glasses even though i paid premium price on it.
I had a great experience as a new glasses/contacts wearer with Kurt and Dr. Hall! Super friendly and helpful! The staff positively reinforced COVID precautions, which I really appreciated. Will be back for sure. Great vibes from this team!! Thanks for the amazing personal service!

People in the front office of this location do not even deserve a single star. Late to the appointment seven minutes. Waiting in line to be greeted for another seven minutes while they go back and forth with another person about a lost appointment. The first contact with the first person at 13th minute mark and they did not accept me as a patient claiming l missed the grace period and pushed me to reschedule. Terrible customer service. No accountability. Complete disarray. They do not deserve my business ever. Filing also official complaint with Target.
I would never buy a single eyeglasses from them again. 11 months after my original purchase, the lenses start giving a manufacturing defect and there was no protection.
We got glasses for my daughter here. The service was good. Then, my daughter lost her glasses and we needed to order another pair. Kurt was outstanding. He went above and beyond with his assistance. Target Optical better hold on to him. He is one of the rare people who works hard to deliver superb customer service.

Hands down the BEST eye appointment I’ve had. The staff were truly amazing. They treated my daughter and I with care... Very professional, courteous, and knew what they were doing. The whole process was quick and I was well informed each step of the way. I had two eye insurance through the same company. The Optometrist was super nice and patient. The male representative who processed my insurance made sure I received the best deal with both. He even helped me pick out my frames and kept my daughter entertained. I definitely recommend this eye care center to everyone! 👍🏽👍🏽
Who asks for hard copy of insurance benefits today? Isn’t that available online ? Can’t it be verified online? And once I show this on the phone still he needs a hard copy!! Why ? Why waste paper ? And if it’s so super necessary why do I have to go home and get it, there seems to be no copier with target! They sell one in the store but he can’t print it in store.
I had a great experience here. The associate was very pleasant. I think his name is Kurt. When I asked if there was a water fountain nearby, he offered and actually went down to the Starbucks and got me a cup of water. The doctor was great. She listened to my concerns about my need for a stronger prescription and really took the time and asked me questions to see why my previous contacts weren’t working well for me anymore. She talked to me about why she was prescribing me a particular strength and let me try on 2 brands of contacts. She told me to try what she had prescribed for a week and let her know if they weren’t working. I have never had an eye doctor tell me to follow up if my contacts weren’t working. I felt like a person who was valued and cared for here, and I would recommend this office to anyone and everyone.
Wow. The best experience I’ve had at any Optometrist by far. The staff is amazing (shoutout to Kurt for taking good care of me). From the eye exam to lens selection to pick up...each step was made easy for a first time customer. Highly recommend!
