Four Wheels is a GREAT place to take your car for service. The first couple times I came here, it was just with small issues (a dashboard light diagnostic, a hanging piece of plastic near my tire), and they took care of it in no time-- and for free. I am planning on taking my car back for routine maintenance, and Im already planning to make them my tow destination in case pr emergency.The owner is communicative, friendly, and helpful. They took the time to help me understand what was going on with my car without making me feel stupid. They gave me extremely fair quotes on future service-- way less than the dealership. They also work quickly. I cant say enough about this place! Highly recommend!

I needed to get an oil change and get my brakes done, but I was unable to get my car there. I lived nearby, and the owner was willing to get my car in his shop and got everything done, more cheaply than past mechanics have done. He also vacuumed my floors for free, which was unexpected and appreciated. Overall, everything went better than Ive had with any other mechanic and will be going to four wheels for all my car needs in the future. You should too, support local businesses!

Marc and Four Wheels are hands down the best garage Ive ever interacted with. Above and beyond being courteous, fast, and completely fair in their pricing, they always treated me with respect--something that doesnt always happen when youre a woman at a car repair shop. Theyve plugged a tire for me before and were fantastic (again, quick, inexpensive, and yes, they vacummed out my car!?), but I was prompted to finally write a review when Marc took my car out to help me with a weird sound, and called me back to explain in detail what the issue was and that the dealer who replaced my brakes last summer should still be on the hook for this repair. He helped me feel confident about what to say to the dealer, who agreed to fix the issue for free. Marc also invited me to call him back if they gave me a hard time, which I found so kind. No charge for his time diagnosing the issue and advising me on what to say. Thank you guys!

Had a nail in my tire. Was in and out in 30 minutes and they charged $30. They even topped off the other tires and vacuumed the front seats. This place has great service and is very professional, I would highly recommend it.

Marc is an awesome guy who runs a clean and tight business. He took a look at my car on a few hours notice (Monday) and diagnosed the problem before the day ended. He worked hard to get it all finished by the same Friday. Quite the turnaround!! He was also nice enough to show me my old parts, how they work (clutch-related), and how to prevent wear and tear in the future. Stellar service to say the least. Marc spent the time to show me exactly what was wrong with my car mechanically, and provided a thorough explanation for why it happened, and what to do to avoid it in the future. Got my oil changed here for a great price, $30 for oil change, filter, tire rotation, and they even vacuumed the front seats.

Marc is so incredibly helpful. I drove through a flooded street this afternoon and managed to dislodge a previously broken tire shield. I figured Id need to replace the whole thing but Marc got it up on a lift within five minutes of calling, bolted and zip tied it back together, and wouldnt take payment for it. Happy to have such a great neighborhood place that wont try to sell me on things I dont need.

I am very happy that I found Marc at Four Wheels Auto! He is thorough, professional, honest, responsive, and efficient with time. I appreciate that he calmly explains the problem and the options. I feel really comfortable with his suggestions because I trust he isn’t taking advantage of my lack of car knowledge. Actually there have been times when his suggestions were not financially beneficial to him! I also notice the little things he does (cleaning off my half ripped off old parking permit stickers, fixing my cranky wipers, etc). Some other mechanics are closer to my house but I prefer to go to Marc by a landslide.

Dropped car off in the morning and asked for a diagnosis. Marc called me an hour later to describe the issue in detail and provided a full itemized part and labor cost up front. cost was very reasonable.car was ready by mid afternoon; they even vacuumed the floors and replaced my key fob battery for no charge.I’d absolutely use this place again

They are down the street from me so I thought Id give them a try. I was impressed. They were able to service my car when I walked in and were done by the time I needed it. Marc told me what they would be doing and then called me to discuss what theyd found and the cost of the items he suggested. While other service stations sometimes try to up-sell everything, he told me some things I didnt need to replace and the work I did need done was very reasonable. A pleasant experience and I will be back!

Marc is excellent. He walks you through the options, talks through the associated costs upfront, and fixes it quickly. Great prices, and works hard to source parts cheaply. Highly recommend.

Im new to Somerville and was doing a car repair on my own but couldnt get a bolt off. I looked up this shop and saw it was within walking distance of my place, which was great because I had the drive belt off so couldnt venture far. As a young woman, I usually hate speaking to car repairmen, auto shop workers, etc, anyone who assumes that I am totally helpless (I dont know much, but when Im trying to fix something I do a BUNCH of research on it, so I usually dont know the terminology but I understand the basic just of it).Im so glad I went in - Marc immediately took the pump to the back, popped the bolt off and even gave me a replacement bolt because one of them broke off for the part I was re-installing. He also diagnosed the problem and offered useful advice. 10/10, would definitely visit again, and next time, Im taking the car here first (got an incorrect diagnosis from someone else).

I’m not from MA, so I didn’t know an auto shop to trust. I’m so glad I found this one! Mark saved me hundreds if not thousands of dollars on fixing what caused my Check Engine light to be on. It turned out that I just needed a gas cap replacement(!)Him taking the time to try the small fixes first before diving in to ones that would cost hundreds or thousands was so helpful. When explaining what could be causing it after his review, he even took the time to show me under and around the car. He explained options to let me choose how to move forward instead of trying a bunch of things and running up a bill before discussing with me first.I will continue referring his shop and getting all my work done there. If youre having car problems, I highly recommend Marc at Four Wheels Auto in Somerville. I took my car to get my brakes and ac fixed and he had me in and out in no time, with the job very well done and at a great price. He was very professional, the customer service there is excellent and the staff are friendly. I would recommend Four Wheels Auto to anyone.

The owner here gave me a fair quote for a brake pads change. He did it in the time frame that he quoted me. He was extremely pleasant and Im very happy with the work he did. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fair price for auto repairs and excellent customer service

Dropped my car off in the morning after booking an apt through their website. Called to check on the status of a basic tune up at the end of the day, and they didnt even look at it yet. So basically my car sat there all day. No call, no heads up, total waste of time. The only reason I give it a 2 star and not 1 is because they at least apologized and offered to reschedule.
