I found out about J Murray when I got an estimate from another local mechanic shop that made no sense and was very expensive. I started searching for another company and so I gave J Murray a call. They were friendly and they quoted me for the work that was needed and I went with them.They performed the repairs in the time they said they would and I got the car back and it was fine. The car has had other issues and they cared for them as well. They even stated they would stick around a few minutes after closing because I was running late.Good service is a rarity these days so when you receive it you stick with them which is what Im doing.- E.A.

I received a maintenance estimate from the dealership that said everything listed needed immediate attention with an extremely high associated price. I brought the estimate to J. Murray Auto Service and they went through everything, highlighting what needed work and what didn’t at a third of the cost. They also found a few other things that the dealership missed, like mice eating away at some wires and repaired it. They were very professional and just honest, hardworking people. I highly recommend them to everyone.

This is my favorite auto shop in town. Part of the reason is because its in walking distance. The real reasons are the customer service and the quality work. I only added the 4* because sometimes prices appear to run a little high for parts. Otherwise, this would be a complete 5* review! At least they dont jerk you around, though. They always give straight up honesty and never try to push unneeded services. Overall, I wouldnt change mechanics.

John & team are a solid group of service providers. Hes easy to deal with and understands that there are many other places a person can have their vehicles serviced. He does not do gimmicks like other local shops. Ive known him for more years than Id admit, I have also referred many people to him. The only critique I have is that like many other shops, dealers included the techs seem to forget to make sure that door handles, steering wheels etc are not returned to the client dirty. Years ago when I was in automotive service this was a huge focal point that industry wide has gone by the wayside. If John reads this Im sure he will get the point b/c he knows Im kind of a neat-freak. :)

I have talked to two people that said they messed up there car i said that cant be i had work done there today i get work done there and now i get a very loud grinding noise the tech there said he dont hear it i then go get three people to ride with me in the car they all hear it and all of them said how cant he hear that will any way before i brought my car there it was not doing that getting it back it does that tells me not to go there and made some calls to BBB and now going to get a hold of FBI to have them checked into so they cant mess any one else car up. they should have not even got one star since the tech had a bad attitude
