The work performed on my vehicle was excellent I was in formed my vehicle would take approximately 10 days to complete, to my surprise it was done sooner than I expected. The work and skill performed on my vehicle was superior to what I was expecting. I will definitely bring my car there for any and all body work. Excellent job Gerber keep up the great work.
Over priced, had to call several times, couldnt schedule on line. It was just a very frustrating experience. Called Gerber Glass got in right away no hassle, better price good work.
The South Holland facility restored my faith in Gerber I’d used Gerber ( another location) to repair vandalism done on a prior automobile. I wasn’t happy with their work I gave them a low rating. Fast forward to 6/7/21 the South Holland site. They restored my faith in their work I needed a mirror replaced on my current auto, they did that and more and the cost decreased.Thank you South Holland for your everyday excellence. I never mentioned my prior disappointments, but you guys raised the bar.
Gerber has always done an excellent job of repairing any vehicle I’ve had to give them to be repaired. I prefer them. They are knowledgeable, prompt, professional, and do a really good job on the repair. They also do a great job of cleaning the vehicle as well. When you receive the vehicle back, it really looks brand new again. Great Job Gerber!
I have used Gerber South Holland for every repair job I have ever had. Each time they have been reliable and timely. Not all the time have they been the least expensive, but I trust them to do EVERYTHING right, so Im willing to pay a little more.The last two times, I had to have my truck bed repaired and they fixed the bed and restored my flip sectional tonneau cover and my back box. This is professionalism that I value and will return to when needed.
I took my vehicle in for repairs. They kept me updated via text message as to the progress of the repairs and what day that my vehicle would be ready. I did not have to call them to find out when it would be ready and when I did pick it up, Chris went over the vehicle with me to make sure that everything was done satisfactory. My vehicle was clean and shiny when I got it back.Kudos to Gerber Glass & Collision.
My appointment was a pretty long wait but Im happy that my car came back brand new after my front bumper was ripped off by a Comcast truck. They also worked with insurance to get me my rental for me and it was delivered same hour from enterprise. Basically they take care of you and if your a first timer like me it was super reassuring. You get texted daily as well of the progrsss on the car which was great no sitting in the dark.
Friendly, professional and human! It was stressful to have the car damaged on a road trip and they were so great at every step of the way.

Heres the scenario:A sick child in the house under medical care. The snow is up to my knees, and the front bumper has fallen off my car in front of my house. I called everyone for help. Everyone told me to call back next week. Even my insurance company would only push the car back into the parking space after waiting two hours for their arrival.Unfortunately, a well-intended neighbor convinced me that he could push the bump back in place. Please dont laugh, but I had to run him away when he came with duck tape, super glue, and a hammer to repair the car.Despite all this, I want to share an amazing experience of compassion and empathy. I finally called Chris at Gerber Collision and Glass. I explained the problem and my fear of more damage to the car if I drove to the shop and the devastation if not able to get medical care if needed. The owner told me he could do a temporary repair on site. When he saw the damage, he asked to take the vehicle to the shop. Instead of a temporary repair, he fixed and returned my car on the next date. The cost of the repair was reasonable. My only regret was not making Gerber Collison and Glass my first call. I have always gotten reliable service and a guarantee on the service Gerber. My advice is that avoid the hassle and make the Gerber your first class for affordable, reliable service with a warranty.

Not a good place to go to write about now! Only by appointment! And the appointments are distance! And it seems like theyre just has not doing anything as of work around there! They have a attitude like they dont care!

Ive had 3 vehicles repaired at this shop - going all the way back to before they were Gerber. All I can say is the manager Chris and the staff (Crissy, Alex, Ernie, etc) are PHENOMENAL. Communication is superb as well. They really go above and beyond for their customers. Just really, really good folks. Thank you!

They fixed my car and did a great job!. My car was fixed in a week. They called about every 2 days to give me an update. They were nice and understanding. Thats how a repair shop should be considering when customers are coming to them its for not under great circumstances. They worked great with my insurance company as well.

This facility was on my insurance company list of shops with work warranty, so I thought it would be a good choice however that remains questionable. First off it took me 25 minutes of standing around waiting just to make an appointment to come back for an estimate. Upon my return for the estimate received no acknowledgment from receptionist that I was even there for 15 minutes or more. Chris who came in office stated he would be with me, but initially receptionist doesn’t respond or acknowledge me which she continued this poor customer service as additional patrons entered and stood at the counter waiting for service. Then a week later after my estimate when I was told to drop off my car my husband and I arrived and saw the receptionist seated as we pulled in and by the time we exited vehicle and entered door she had left the reception desk. Then she proceeded to walk back and forth between the back area and reception desk 3 times and never spoke, asked if we were helped, state that some would be with us shortly, the things most professional receptionist would do! She simply acted as though we weren’t there & avoided direct eye contact. Chris once again came into area greeted us and took care of us. My car was at Gerber for one week and I was I received a call from Chris stating that work was completed and my car was going into finishing product where they clean and put on final touches and would be ready for picked by end of day. He stated he would be giving me a callback between 4:30 - 5pm, so I called him on my way to return rental but there was not answer at facility and not even at the main Gerber call center so I left a message. We dropped off rental and came to pick up my car. Upon inspection my husband noticed deep scratch in paint of door jam that was repaired so Chris check to see if could be fixed but due to lateness of day around 5:45pm and that it would require sanding & repainting that they would need a few hours to fix my car the next day and wanted me to leave it . As I had already returned the rental I needed to take my vehicle and since I was told it would take a few hours in the morning and should be completed before noon I would just bring it back first thing in the morning. Upon our arrival home and further inspection we noticed that the replacement door needed alignment and the factory black detailing tape that had been replaced was not even with the other doors. The inside of my vehicle was dusty all long the front doors, console and dashboard areas which indicates it had not been cleaned up at the completion of the work. Then my radio did something it has never done which the screen blacked out. We let the car sit for a few hours and started it again and the screen come back on and this 8” screen controls various functions in my car and worked without issue when I dropped my car off. So my husband and I were at facility first thing in the morning and Chris greeted us and noted the additional issues and stated that it would require added time to complete but hopefully no more than a half day. Well when I had not heard from anyone by 2pm I called for an update and Chris stated that they had recently received the factory detail tape from the dealership and are still working on my car and will call me once it’s ready. I stated that if I would’ve been told it would be an all day repair I would have requested they supply me with a rental so that I could have gone to work but now at this point as my car is still not clean complete I would be losing a whole day of work not the half day I was prepared to be off. It’s now 3pm while I’m sending this email and I haven’t received a call yet. I should have been offered the option of a rental vehicle as some of the repairs were not completed accurately and unsatisfactorily requiring an additional day to fix. I’m not pleased with the communications from the facility, but readily admit that my interactions with Chris have been pleasant and professional. I’m not pleased with the timeliness from being to end, and receptionist needs work on her customer service.

Initially, Gerber Collision would not have received three stars from me, due to their lack of communication amongst their departments / employees. I had to call them many times to start the process of fulfilling their warranty obligation.Also, their lack of follow-up was not up to the standards in which customer satisfaction requires. Beginning October 31 and ending today, December 7, Gerber Collision has rectified the many issues I encountered in the midst of entrusting them with my vehicle.I recommend incorporating a protocol which will yield customer satisfaction from start to finish, while opening up lines of communication through-out their various departments. A happy customer equals a returning customer.
I’m very impressed, my very first accident, I was in I was referred to them and I had just one minute issue and they made sure they resolved it. Happy Customer!!!

Was in a fender bender and needed work done efficiently because I drive for Uber/Lyft. It wasnt a big job but Bob was the consummate professional wire to wire. Would recommend.

Just ok not great the paint is not the same the hood and right fender are a different shade of blue i was told they do tint matching but it doesnt look like it everything else was ok except The paint not matching. Turns out It was fine just a miscommunication truck is lookin good they were very accommodating and took the time to make sure things were resolved

Terrible place! I had them fix my windshield and I had to come back literally 3 times. The first time they forgot to put urethane, the seconded time I noticed windshield leaking water in, the third time I went back thru told me look we fixed it if its leaking its your problem now never again STAY AWAY!
