Nothing like being ignored when waiting on an oil change. These people kept looking at me, refused to come over, refused to do anything but stand there. We left after 15 minutes. Absolutely the worst service I have ever had. There were 5 of them standing around talking before I thought to get my phone out and take a shot, 2 of them found something to do. Incredible.
Had tires shipped to the store via Amazon and put on the girlfriends Subaru. Very easy process that Amazon walked me through. Got a killer deal and 100% satisfied. Thank you
They do a good job here. They are honest and prices arent too bad. Usually get my oil changes done here because I can get my tire rotation and balanced too.Everyone who works here is really friendly and helpful.
Purchased my 2nd set of tires from Sears last week. Great service and guidance from April. I am on a tight budge and she took the time to walk me through options and even helped me recoup some $ based on tire mileage warranty. I was in and out on time and my road feel is noticeably smoother. I got what I wanted and no surprises due to Aprils attentiveness to detail.
Maybe its about who serves you. Ask for Ryan. It does sometimes take a little while but my experience is he will go the extra mile to make sure you get what you need whether even if you have an old car like mine. Tried main dealer(not Sears) for help and they tried to screw me for over 1800$. Ryan and seasee:...77$ and my car is good to go. Really great. I never write reviews but I wanted this known.
I was in a super tight position last October and need my work car back on the road. Brandon the shop manager, Mike their tech and Jesse their front desk lead to over my situation and made it their own problem. They did this while facing a mob of other customers and issues. I needed my tire replaced for an important drink to Rumford. I came in at 3pm and the shop was actually declining work due to it being so busy. They took on my job and got my car on the road. Good men and they won Sears a life long customer.
Only go there for an oil change. These people try to make take advantage of your time here and have been rude on several instances. Aslo they ripped me off with my break repair and other things. Couldnt even replace my headlight for me because it takes a whole 30 mins and we close in 45 mins I had no headlights so I went to auto zone and bought lights for 20 bucks and put it in manually within 10 mins. freaking clowns.
I dont care too much for the Sears store itself, but the auto center is an underused, under valued resource. They had knowledgeable staff And did what they could to get my car running and in good shape .
Got tires and a heater blower motor done. Got me right in both times great work nice staff will come here from now on thank you Sears.
I wish there were worse than 1 star to rate this dump service. This is the worse customer service I have ever experienced today.I came to check an engine light, then waited for about 10 min for someone to check in with me. I could hear the associates chatting and laughing in the Assistant Managers office, until another customer knocked on the door.Despite being the first on line and the associated being told that I was first on line, I have been completely ignored by the sales person.I decided to draw the sales persons attention without success. I managed to complain to the Assistant Manager, she tried to push my arguments back.... REALLY? I am not here to beg, but buying your services.... I couldnt believe that they would treat their customers this way...I walked away to find another mechanic who care about customers...Sears associates are very rude and arrogant! Their Assistant Manager is so arrogant! Dont go to Sears Auto Center if you want to be treated with respect...
Came in for a SCEDULED brake job. its been 3 hours. they got the wrong brake pads so my time means nothing.talk to guy here about a discount and he says he cant do anything cant call the manager Cant give a discount.just tossed his hands up like oh wellI demand a refund.I will not stop giving bad reviews of this place. searsPortland mall.no respect, no care for the customers.any good reviews on here are done by people who work here. that is a fact. look at the pictures a 5 star from the manager.google should look into that
On a Sunday afternoon my car started making quite a noise from the rear brakes and the Sears Auto Center was the only shop open. I had another 2 hours to drive before I would be home with a messy winter storm coming the next morning. I really needed to get the car checked as soon as possible and repaired if necessary. All of the employees I met and spoke with were extremely nice and genuine. They showed me the problem, scrambled to get the parts and stayed past closing to get me back on the road. The parts and labor charged for the work were very reasonable. Thank you again from Eddington!
These guys just try to sell more services to you. They want more money from your pocket. Let me give my example. I went there for my car inspection. They said, that the transmission fluid is leaking and so your car cannot pass the inspection. I paid for the inspection even if they failed it. Thats fine. Then I asked for the quote for fixing the issue that they pointed out. They said, you will have to change the transmission fluid even without checking it. And the total was much more. So, I wanted to double check with Toyota Dealer and found my experience really wonderful.Only thing I would say is, please avoid going to Sears Auto Center for any major service in your car. Rather goto dealer. Sears guys just want to mint money without satisfactory service...
Nobody knows a thing. Wouldn’t trust a single person in that shop to even change my oil. Took an hour and a half for an oil change when I was the first person there. Very sad. Will never go back.
I was hoping to have a good experience with them, but it was far from it. Take your estimated time for your tires to be changed and add 6 hours.
Went in for an oil change, inspection, and alignment, was told it would take an hour to half an hour and it took just around an hour and a half. Very prompt with calls and the texting service. Would recommend.
Ive had multiple issues with Sears Automotive.Ive had alignment done that caused the car to shake uncontrollably when it got over 5mph, and even when they corrected it, it still pulled to the right. I had to have another auto shop fix the work Sears had done. They swore that they had done a test drive and it was fine. There is NO WAY they did.I took an XTerra in for diagnosis of an engine stutter, and Sears first replaced the plugs and wires and caused the dashboard instruments to stop responding correctly. Then they claimed I needed to have the entire wiring of the vehicle replaced - a huge expense. Since the dashboard lights and instruments worked when I bought it in, I demanded that they repair that for me at no cost and they refused; they dont do that kind of work, but have a partnership with another shop they send victims to for this. I refused their help and brought it to a local mechanic who diagnosed the issue as a bad distributor and it fixed the engine stutter - a much less costly fix. To this day, the dashboard instruments havent worked correctly and I havent wanted to spend possibly hundreds of dollars to fix whatever Sears did to break them.My wife decided to give them another chance a couple weekends ago (weekend mechanics are hard to find) and had them inspect the same XTerra. They found a laundry-list of issues and quoted over $1100 to repair everything. I refused and brought it to my regular mechanic the next week. His diagnosis was that they wanted to replace parts that werent broken. He was able to do the same job for $600 and his hourly rate is about the same as Sears is.In short, unless youve got money to burn or absolutely have no alternative, DO NOT use this auto garage.
I love this Sears. I have 9 cars and they always take care of me very well.Been customer for 10 years.
More than 3 hour wait for snow tires...with an appointment. Was told 1.5 hours when I came in. Lady ahead of me waited 4 hours. None of the employees seemed concerned with the full waiting room. Wont be back.
I scheduled an appointment with them to get a headlight and a blinker fixed. They quoted me for an hour of labor at around $90 and some lights at around $30 and told me it should be all set in 90 minutes. 3 and a half hours later, they had only managed to replace the headlight, the plate lights on the back (which they had said they wouldnt be able to replace during a previous appointment), and they attempted to try and sell me a total headlight assembly replacement claiming that they couldnt fix the blinker because its connections were corroded. Suddenly my bill of around $130 became $450 and I told them not to bother and left.Bernies Car Care currently has my car, let me use one of their loaners, and will have my blinker fixed by tomorrow morning for a fraction of the price. This is the second time Sears has tried to rip me off, the first time being a $95 tire alignment that they couldnt do without replacing something, doubling the price, replacing something else, and doubling the price again. With Sears quote at $400+, I went to Bernies and they did it for under $90 with no issues.
Worst service I have ever received. The staff completely took advantage of me because Im a young, female driver with very limited knowledge about cars. The mechanic who was working on my vehicle told me that my car needed to be realigned and that I was irresponsible for not getting it done sooner.I waited for my car to be repaired for three hours AFTER the time they said it would be ready by. When I asked them if they had even started working on my car after all that time, an employee went and checked, and they STILL hadnt started to work on it yet. I was so furious, I left before they even started working on my car.The next day I took my car to a different mechanic, and he took one look at my car and told me that my car did not need to be realigned at all! So much for being an irresponsible driver! I am NEVER returning to sears auto ever again.
Beware if you have an appointment here it means nothing in terms of schedule. Also, the workers are jerks to every customer here, in overhearing all the conversations.
Dont go here! Not if you dont want to spend half your day waiting for service to be done on your car that shouldve only taken a half hour at most. My wife and I have been waiting close to 3 hours and I wouldnt be surprised if were here longer than that. I repeat, DO NOT GO HERE!
Excellent customer service, able to explain the issue with my car and what was done to fix it. Kept me apprised of how long it would take since I was spending vacation time in an auto repair shop.
Had my tires shipped from Amazon, was in/out in 35 minutes. Excellent service.
Very poor service. I went to have a tire air leak repaired and asked them to take a look at a rattling catalytic converter. They said no problem, well take a look to see what the problem is. This should only take a little over an hour. We will call you when were done. Four hours later, no phone call. I called them repeatedly, and no one picked up. I went there to find out the status, and it was complete. As I waited in line to talk to them, the representative told the couple in front of me that they tried to call them but they think they accidentally wrote their number down wrong. After waiting in line for an unreasonable amount of time, I asked why no one called, and they said sometimes we call and sometimes we dont. Also, I asked them if they remembered what else they said they would take a look at, and they said no. So, they wasted hours of my time, and didnt bother to take a look at what they said they would. They didnt seem to care that they couldnt remember. I wouldnt recommend going here unless its your last option. VERY POOR SERVICE!
Nice
I had a set of tires replaced, and each of my four tires had external pressure sensors that cost about $7 each on them. I meant to remove them before taking the tires in, but forgot. When I returned home and saw the sensors were replaced with traditional caps, I called the store, only to be told they had thrown the sensors out. REALLY? Threw out $28 worth of sensors? Probably in a technicians pocket! At any rate, there was no offer to compensate my loss or even apologize for discarding the sensors. Poor customer service in my opinion. Thats what produces reviews like this!
Had a problem one time over by the Maine Mall my gas cap broke on my car I pulled it down to the Sears Automotive Department and within two hours they had the strap all done and I was on my way thank you sis for the help
Always buy tires from here . Yes it take a couple of hours but they are busy!
Sears is wery good service
