I was sent by a nonprofit to get an estimate, this place kept my car for a week then when I advise them I can’t wait another two weeks for the estimate. I went to pick up my car the owner Michelle had her huge son standing there with his arms crossed I didn’t know if he was going to hurt me or of this was just a form of intimidation. then I get in my car and there’s car parts and covers sitting in my backseat but screws just tossed sitting on my leather seat! that’s how they did me & put me in a position leaving my car unsafe. An indicator of three dozen cars sitting outside the shop should’ve been included me that they can’t handle what they’re promising. But the bullying is just unacceptable how unprofessional

GF Automotive is THE best! They never try and up sell you or get over on you and explain to you exactly what’s going on with your car and how the motor works. It’s important to them to make sure the life of your car is as long as possible, so you know they care about you and your car. Their mechanics are actual mechanics, not just trained computer readers. I cant thank Michelle and her team enough for helping get my Element SC back on the road. They replaced my bearings, steering knuckle, ball joints, and did a alignment for me.

I came here to get my last maintenance service on my car before returning it at lease end. Like most people, I barely used the car this year so I didnt feel like it was really worth it to take the car to the dealer for the last maintenance service and get charged more than double what they charged me at G-F. They do a good job and care about the quality of their work. I have come to them with my other car too, for oil changes and to save it when the transmission was slipping. That was 2 years ago and it is still running fine today! Very reasonable prices for quality work.

Michelle and her crew are amazing! Ive been coming to them for a few years now with my cars. (Not bragging, but I dont drive cheap cars). The quality of work and customer service are nothing short of outstanding! They are honest (not an easy thing to find these days). Many times I asked whether I need this or that and was told no. Many other mechanics would say yes just to make an extra buck. The prices for parts and labor are absolutely the best (believe me, I shop around). Recently changed my tires and got an alignment. They saved me roughly $400-500 comparing to all the other estimates I got. Honestly dont think Ill ever take my car anywhere else.Take your car to G-F with full confidence. You wont regret it!

This is the only Auto Shop I would recommend and I continue to depend on after years of them doing an awesome job on my own and family vehicles I bring here. When you bring your vehicle here you know you have left it in good hands. When you first walk into the shop you will 90% of the time see Michelle Marsh (shop owner) at the front desk and if not her you will see 1 out of 3 of her great and friendly kids. Michelle is the kindest, most honest, friendliest and lovable shop owner/runner you will ever meet. She is nothing like majority of shop owners who recommend you need nonsense work done and rack up your bill. Michelle treats everyone whom walks into her shop like family and delivers nothing but quality customer service and work. I have been going to G-F for car service since I moved to bay area four years ago. Always explained everything well to me and provided great service!

Easily the best place in town to take your vehicle. The staff is very friendly and make sure the work they agree to do on your car is done correctly and to the standard. They don’t push extra work on you that you don’t need. I was trying to get extra stuff done that would have cost me more money and it was much appreciated that the mechanic told me I did not need it done yet. Any other place would have easily added it to the bill.

Got service started as soon as I got in. Downside took a while to get the appointment set up. Definitely need a good decent waiting area. Michele is the best - took care of what needs to be done with my car.

I brought in my 1987 Dodge B150 van. Yes, a really old van that wouldnt pass smog. A gross polluter per the smog shop. Michele and Dennis worked on my car diligently to figure out what the issue was. Turns out the timing was way off. After 2nd smog test, the van no.s were really good to a low emissions vehicle. Yeah!Dennis also pointed out that my steering column was very loose. In the past, Ive been told that the whole steering column needs to be replaced. But here at GF Automotive, it might be repaired, saving me a whole lot of money.GF is an honest auto mechanic shop. Hard to come by these days.Thank you Michele and Dennis for all your help!

Had my car serviced 3 times before they got it right .....glenn very detail explained everything ...but kinda expensive 140 hr. Shop labor ...my family used to bring all of our cars there...i dont think so much now .....

Best price I could find for a SMOG check ($45 cash). Staff was friendly and Michelle was helpful with also quoting me for a transmission fluids change.

My car was due for an oil change, so I contacted GF Automotive. GF was able to fit me in that day and had my car already to go. I no longer look around to find a place to perform maintenance or repairs on my car. My son started going to GF and was happy with their service, so I thought I’d try them out. Found I like doing busy with GF their honest and stand behind the work they do.

Best mechanic experience Ive ever had. Dropped me off at the airport. Kept my car while I was in Europe, and kept in constant email contact. When I dropped off the face of the earth they did everything safety related and got me back on the road, while trying all the while to save me some money. Offered to pick me up at the airport and feed me too! Thanks Michelle and Matt! I will be coming back for the skid plate.

This is the place to go for all your car repair needs. Took the car in for a smog and the mechanic pointed out that I needed a new serpentine belt (which I know if it breaks itll be a major expense for me later). I saw the multiple cracks on it, they replaced it and had me going in a jiffy. Repair costs was very fair. Thanks!
