I came in today to only discover that my favorite jarhead salesman Roosevelt was back. However, I noticed something very unprofessional that then other salesman did, he intercepted/interfered with the transaction. Roosevelt assisted me with great service a usual he talked me into buying a box of cigars lol.... I will be black soon hope things are different. Glad to see Roosevelt back and healthy. SEMPER FI bro.

Terrible customer service. I went to the register and gave them the merchandise. He asked if I was a club member and I responded no. Paid $100 and started to leave. The next customer was asked if he wanted the purchase applied to club benefits. I asked if I could have my purchase applied if I became a member and was told no. I had to ask before I paid. They wouldn’t do it afterwards. Employee put it on me for not asking.

Dont go there not knowing anything about cigars. Tony has a smart mouth and is very unprofessional. Yes, they have a good variety of stock but its not worth the hassle. Customer service is everything.

They are getting one star because zero was not an option. I have been going to the Southfield, MI store for over 10 years. Today their new policy is to require a picture of my drivers licence to sell me cigars. Just seeing it was not enough. With all the identity theft today, I am extremely uncomfortable giving anyone a full copy of my drivers licence. I am 62 years old and obviously old enough to purchase tobacco products. I called customer service at the home office and was told it is company policy. The rep was very polite and sent an email to have a corporate manager call me. Still waiting for their call.

Havent been here in awhile since working from home. Thought I would stop in since I was in the area for my favorite cigar and low n behold they no longer sold them. The store did a major downgrade from the Indian statue that greeted u at the front door to my favorite cashier.

I dont like this place at all according to the manager they have a policy that they have to see your ID I am 66 years old Im clearly old enough to buy cigars I wont be back

It has been a long time since I was last in this location, before the latest rebrand to Casa de Montecristo, but is it really that hard to update your hours on Google? Currently it says they are open on Sunday, but when I got there, there were paper hours taped to the door that say closed. Updating Google is not hard, I do it for my business regularly.

Great deals for your everyday cigar or special occasion ones. This is the only place that I would buy a pack of cigars from just cause of the price.

This is a cigar shop. Ive visited a few times and have always been met with friendly service. The selection is great and the prices are on par with the area. The entire shop is the humidor which perplexes me, but Ive never purchased a bad cigar there. The down sides are limited seating and early closing time. I continue to visit to restock!

Much like the online business this place represents, they have a fantastic selection. Hard part for me is balancing my work and class schedule just right to get there on time, but thats on me. Only problem I have is the size of the parking lot. The lot behind the building doesnt belong to them, so if you park there while the office that does own the lot is open, youre taking your chances.

Horrible customer service. Then the big dude ask me for my ID for age verification.

This place is enormous. They have a truly amazing amount of cigars. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Also has a good selection of humidors.

OK if you cant go anywhere else. Lots of choices here and occasionally some bargain 5 packs. I went in looking for my new favorite stick and two employees scoffed at my choice. They said they might have a couple boxes left but it was such a terrible seller they would never get any more. I was actually told they had thrown many boxes of my new fave away in the past! I hunted down the 2 boxes they had and asked if theyd open one and sell me a few... why not right...? if theyre throwing them away. My question was answered with a smile - no way will a box of those ever get opened in this store. Really? Youll throw them away but you wont open a box and sell some....? How bout knock 10-20% off the garbage stock and Id have bought a box. Screwy service approach I thought. More and more I find the internet is the way to go - you get exactly what you want at an always fair price, and you avoid the cigar store clique and attitude.

I went into the store and was not greeted. I wanted to purchase a pack of cigar that was priced $19.99 and the gentleman said I had to purchase an additional 10 dollars however there was no sign stating this. I then picked up two cigars that were $6 each and he said they were not Included. I asked to speak to a a manger who peaked and went back into her office and never came out. I have been going to this store for 20 years and this will be my last. They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

When they were owned by Lou Rothman,they used to be the most customer-friendly down-to-earth cigar store you could find.Always having deals and specials to look forward to.Now theyre just like any other high priced chain.

The store wasn’t opened at 9 we’d 3/14/2018. I waited till almost 9:30. I went back the next day and talked to both managers no apologies.... said nothing and pretty much said so what.

JR has changed the rewards program now that Montecristo owns the retail stores. Store is kind of cluttered. Seems like no real enticement to come to this store vs other cigar places in the area.

Good place to but a stogie from. You can smoke inside as well but they need better ventilation.

Not happy with the ladies in this store. I have been a customer of JR for many years. I have turned many of my friends on to this store and spent tens of thousands of dollars there over the years on cigars pipes pipe tobacco and accessorizes. I have a favorite pipe tobacco I like (Quite Time) this is a blend made at this location. The FDA is not allowing them to mix tobacco any longer and I think this is idiotic of the FDA I understand red tape. So being a loyal long time customer there should be no issue of releasing mix directions to my blend (Quite Time) But NO they act like it is some big secrete that I cant have no matter if you kiss the ring or not. This is bad business all the blends that I need would come form JR. They would be selling product not losing customers. Corporate needs to get in this store and knock these ladies off there pedestals.

Lots and lots of selection for cigars, whether those for daily smoking or upscale examples for special occasions. Very good selection of pipe tobaccos, not the drug store or cigarette store variety. The selections including Samuel Gawith (mmm Squadron Leader), Mac Baren, McClelland, Cornell & Diehl... Ask for Mr. Fantastic as he is the pipe smoking expert and hell set you up.
