Was shopping for a new washer and dryer. The sales rep was knowledgeable and thoroughly listen to everything we needed. he also listen to all of our questions and answered them honestly. We will be getting our new set today. Whatever happens in the sale of Sears the service contracts will still be honored. were both very very happy.
I love shopping there. They always have amazing sales. The prices are good if youre on budget. The sales people are friendly and very courteous. I will always recommend shopping there if you can. Even on their app. They send you all kinds of discounts and bonus points.
Sears...in 2019. What can I say about it. I picked up a sweater for $2.97 and just about everything is priced to sell. Customer service was good but they dont have to many customers to deal with in the first place. Many Sears stores have shut down and it seemed only inevitable that the Spokane locations will do the same.
Its getting very scant to find something. Im sorry theyre closing. But theres a lot of memories weve had from there...Thanks for the many years of great service and shopping...
I love Sear clean store I grew up with Sear and love the catalog but times have change the sale girl was a delite. I use a gift card and there was a small mix up she had to get the manager to come she called 4 times while we waited . finally she ran and I mean ran down stair got the card from manager ran back to finish the transaction I am sorry to say I didnt have time they needed a manager on the floor s lack of people doesnt help for good sales
Very organized and clean. Sears associates were all very helpful, cheerful and professional. I will be buying all my appliances, tools, and mattresses from here in the future. Thank you very much.
I was hoping for better deals. I have been watching the prices since before the closing sale and they definitely marked up the prices on almost everything and took away the normal discount. So yes, after the 70% off, the prices are higher then the normal everyday sales and its a mess. Will miss it though
Sears is fading fast.... Inventory older than your grandma. They had an opportunity to go back to the Catalog model using the internet as the catalog and converting stores to warehouse for quick deliver and condensed show rooms. Management has even failed them there. Hope something cools fills that void.
I went to the jewelry counter to pick up a pair of earrings advertised on an in store advertisement board. There was no one at the jewelry counter but the counter was open. I did find three women chatting in another department and one came over. When I asked about the earrings she said that theyve been out of those for weeks but the sign brings people in.First and last visit.
We needed to replace a residential refrigerator. Took advantage of the holiday sale. Salesman was friendly but not pushy. Arranged for a delivery and removal of the old unit. I believe we got a good price to go along with good service.
Ive always liked Sears, its a shame most stores are going out of business. But they always have an amazing selection of kids shoes at a decent price. The quality of the shoes is great as well. My kids blow through shoes so fast, but Sears shoes last them almost all year.
Purchased a tool set that was on sale (awesome price) and part of the deal was $50 in points. Some random guy used my phone number to create his account 9 years ago. The guy at checkout told me to just call the Sears help number to put my name under my phone number to get my points. I called the number and they told me the guy probably had my phone number before I did (impossible since Ive had this number for 14 years and this guys account was 9 years old). Anyway, I have to make a whole new account, bring my entire tool set back, return it, and repurchase it to get my $50. So basically Im out $50 because their customer service isnt great. Pretty dissapointed in that whole system, not that I had great expectations with any point system. lol
Slight wait to get my craftsman tool repaired but well worth the wait! Store looked clean and well kept. Service was decent.
I love Penneys and Sears. I feel somewhat responsible for them struggling to stay in business. I think so many people running to the internet, and the place we all know we go to when we want something, it pops up online, we get free shipping in a minute and a half, well I think we are the cause of the decline of these institutionsWhoa, getting off my soapbox now
Sears has lost its charm. Store is almost empty. Stock is low. You would be better off buying craftsman tools at lowes or ace. Kenmore is no longer what it used to be. They lost the trust and quality Sears used to be.
Poor sears, stock is slimmer than ever, staff is hard to find..rarely if ever are you greeted. All I was looking for, this time, was a solid color dress shirt. There were two. Hard times. Upper upper management has no rudder.
Kat appliances was a huge help and fun to deal with as well. She really knew the products and was very patient with us. Great experience.
Rather empty. But we easily found what we were looking for. Staff courteous and friendly.
Going out of business but right now prices are still over priced. Remember KMart? Well they priced higher then gave 50 0/0 off, was paying regular price! Wait a bit then good buys.
Absolutely frustrated! There is no one shopping in the store with many employees working however no one to help customer service you?????? Sears,...... What a joke of a place. Save your time and go to Target! You get the same stuff with great customer service!
Kind of run down. Mattress gal Kimberly was super kind and definitely made the visit worth wild.
I wanted to buy lawnmower, trimmers and a weed eater... no service.. I mean no one... Sears with so many choices for consumers the only thing that makes you better is customer service..: if you fail to understand this, you will not be around much longer.
I purchased an elliptical from Sears at Northtown Mall Spokane WA and paid for white glove delivery and assembly. I wasnt warned that Sears would use a third party company with employees that could care less. They delivered the elliptical and refused to take it downstairs because it wouldnt fit. I wasnt home. I called and arranged for another crew. They, too, didnt bother to take the elliptical out of the box before concluding that it wouldnt fit down the stairs and driving away with the instructions manual and all of the nuts/bolts necessary to assemble the machine. Two old guys (myself included) took the elliptical out of the box and easily carried it down the stairs with no struggles or difficulties, only to find that the critical nuts/bolts and instruction manual had been carted off. Now, 6 weeks, multiple phone calls, and hours of my time have been wasted with no resolution from Sears. Dont trust Sears to give a damn about you after they receive $1600+.
Great and reasonable prices. I bought few of the things I needed, and the girls were helpful and nice to me as a customer. A+++
Long wait at cash register. Employee at register had to be engaged to offer any customer service. Appliance area was bare making it appear this store wont be in business much longer.
Kind of empty, merchandise and no people. I prefer something I can put my hands on. Internet shopping is who knows?
Had beautiful mowers but no pamphlets or brochures. The salesman seemed to know the product but didnt show any interest
Went in to get technical information and availability of a specific RAC. Staff was able to provide needed information quickly. Appreciated the help and ease of access.
Sears is a sad story of a once great store that deserves to die.. i have an extensive selection of craftsman tools. Good tools no fuss warranty, american made, priced fairly..last few years they have fallen off terribly in quality and now they refuse to warranty tools also... now they only want you to use their 27% interest credit card on cheap chinese tools. Even harbor freight has a better warranty now... sad. Bye Sears its time to die
I went to buy my grandson a birthday present. I found it the sign said $19.99 when they rang it up it was $39.99. When I questioned it they said it was a smaller set for that price. It was the only price on the shelf with the name of the product. They told me that there was nothing they could do. They left the sign and I left the product. Never going in there again.
Decent tools, atrocious customer service. I recently purchased a drill press on clearance. The guy said he set it up for pickup so I wouldnt have to carry it out... Nice! Drive around to the pickup area, scan my receipt: no items available for pickup. The pickup attenxent figured that out for me and finally I got the machine home. Only then did I notice the power button was non functional. Called back to find out that they do not carry parts in store and could not replace it with a switch off another machine. I also couldnt return it because it was clearance. And the part is obsolete on Sears parts direct. So I ordered a compatible switch online ($28). Got it installed today and the machine up and running so I go to test it out. Turns out the chuck key is the wrong size for the machine. Didnt bother calling the tools department because I already know their answer. Instead asked for a manager, who didnt answer and let it go to voicemail twice. So, Sears, I ask you: is it common practice for you to sell unusable garbage and label it as clearance?
It was great, but not many toys but thats okay! Loved it anyway.
Although the guy on the phone was very professional the idea that these guys dont have parts in stock is ridiculous. They are a repair shop of a major retail corporation, in a giant retail store. The only reason they dont have parts is because they dont want to give you the option of fixing the appliance yourself. More Corporate Greed. It sucks.
Like any other Mall except this one has great parking though
....very nice selection, store very clean, well organized...the cashier(supervisor) Debi was great...big improvements to the store....highly reccomend..
They dont seem that anxious to off load things. The price of a stove I wanted actually went up from the previous sale.
Staff is helpful and theres always a good sale going on
I never buy anything from Sears and dont know anyone who does. Their parking lot is usually empty and I just walk through their store because its the closest entrance to the mall Santa. Everything is expensive and I never see any customers.
Sad to see them.closing up shop, very organized
This review is directed at Sears Service department. I have a hot water heater that failed. I called Sears Service and scheduled a call. They stated that there would be a charge of $79.95 if I refused the service technicians estimate for repair. When the technician told me that the unit was unrepairable I asked if he could replace it. He stated that he couldnt do that and that I needed to call a different department of Sears. He then charged me the $79.95 for the service call. I HAD TO PAY $79.95 FOR A SERVICE TECHNICIAN TO TELL ME THAT MY HOT WATER HEATER COULD NOT BE FIXED AND THAT HE COULDNT REPLACE IT!!! Where exactly is the service in that? I work for a company that specializes in service. We do repairs and instalations. If we told a customer that we couldnt fix their heater or pump or whatnot and told them that we couldnt install a new one and charged them $79.95 or this information, we would be laughed out of business.
Sadly an old anchor store is seeing its demise as markets shift online. Malls will become homeless shelters as the automation trend takes over, stores are closed and AI algorithms shape the future from transportation, medicine, shopping, education, socializing, ... the AI enemy will dominate us or we will bond with it, as in If you cant beat em join them.
We called to get my washer repaired. They recommended that we fix it and sent repairmen for an $85 charge. When the guys came, they said that the washer we had was so bad that it was only made two years. Replacement parts were no longer available. Why werent we told that on the phone? However, if we bought another washer from Sears we qualified for a discount. No way would we EVER buy anything from Sears again...EVER!
Sorry see this place go it was not only an icon but an icon in my life will be sorely missed
I like sears stores, they need local same day delivery on goods bought online from local sears, to increase sales. I really like their warranties.
Sears is awesome, I love Sears, they have everything a person could want !!!
Going out of business sale. Good prices on the few remaining clothing items.
Great place to park for easy access to the northtown mall
Nice place to shop and nice people.
Went because we heard the going out of business sale was really hot but it wasnt so great. Tools are still overpriced.
Associate was well informed on the product I was looking at Miter saw, helped me figure out whichbon was best . Bought it and was surprised it was cheaper at store then online. Love the shopping at Sears will go back.
Their friends and family sale is nothing but a joke. They mark up their prices just to lower them back down to the original price they had them at. Youre not saving any money so some fake ass sale that is.
Nick our salesman was very knowledgeable and got us our new dishwasher delivered.
The customer service for pick up was speedy and friendly. Went into store to ask about seperate attachments and told they do not sell such item. Very uninformed employees. Do not bother asking questions about merchandise. Do your homework and know exactly what you want or need.
Sears is awsome not greedy like alot of stores and there products hold up pretty well
I had the absolute worst experience with north town sears. Ordered something they said it was in stock. I drove all the way to sears and they didnt have my item. When asked they said not their problem, the female manager the rudest Ive ever seen. I wouldnt shop there and will tell all I know not to also. Im a veteran with PTSD and itsplaces like this make us hate to be in public
Always been a great place to go especially to browse through the tool section. As of late, with the shift of sales to the internet the tool department is ever shrinking.
Just bought my fridge today cool cat named Kat at home appliances helped me pick out the coolest fridge! samsung 34cu 4 door. The fridge is a beast cant wait for the delivery!!
Love the deals I got and the young man was friendly and respectful
The salespeople are helpful, the prices are reasonable when you get them on sale but be careful when you order earrings online with shop your way points and they are defective because they wont exchange them.
Worst customer service I have ever received. I was shopping after work on a Wednesday evening, the store was not busy, yet I had to ask to check out. Several employees were milling about. After purchasing a heavy item, I realized I wanted to shop in housewares also. I asked if I could leave the heavy item with the clerk. He responded I could leave it on the counter but he wasnt going to be there. Deciding to take it out to my car before finishing my shopping, I walked past several employees including the clerk I had just spoken with. Not one made eye contact or asked if I needed assistance, much less asked this 52 middle aged women if I needed help carrying the large, heavy item out. I returned to shop and found two items I wanted. I had to seek out an employee again to check out. He also failed to offer any assistance. Although not heavy, the two items were bulky. The counter was cluttered. Instead of clearing a place for the items or even offering to take one or both, he allowed me to hold them. Frustrated, I sat them down on the floor, said I was no longer interested in them and walked over to JC Penneys where I purchased similar items.
They delivered my order right to my car. Simple, easy, and quick!
Love your store the people very kind.
Watched staff wander around not asking if anyone needed help. People looking at washer/dryer, air conditioners, all kinds of appliances. One elderly man helping a customer was all. He kept glancing at us like he wanted to help us too. Finally corraled one guy who had ignored us twice looking the other way. He gave us a phone number and we left, pretty useless.
They don’t have dressing rooms. Like where am I supposed to try on my clothes and know they fit. I don’t have time to come back and return them if they don’t fit.
Live that they have mens big and tall.
The tool Dept was great very helpful and courteous. The Appliance Dept d didnt even acknowledge that we were there or came to help or even gave us the nod they were quite rude
Im in the store. Been here 20 minutes. Looking for help. No one around, but one working the register. Saw an employee walk by. Didnt acknowledge me. Sears isnt long for this world. I think the leadership has given up on the store. Too bad.
Looked for a outdoor electric timer, which they did not have. Also wanted a soldering iron, they only had one, which was over priced for a unknown brand Looked for a marble cheese slicer and was told they have not carried this for many years. I can see why they are going out of business, they just dont have the items they used to carry. It makes it hard to find something I can spend my gift card on before they actually do close their doors!
Always counts for the things weve bought through Sears for many years. Just keep your eyes open!
I accompanied my F.I.L to help him find a Craftsman battery. Like shopping at Walmart, no one around to assist
They say that you cant return anything with out the box or numbers but i got it for x-mas and wanted to trade in for different work boots cuz these ones are. Cold to were outside and i just wanted none steel toe ones i would have been happy to spend all the money back in the store but im good i just wont shop there anymore so thank you and goodbye...
Never had an issue buyung things here in over 50 yrs. Naught another freezer today and thier price was comparable to any where else as priced then they gave me an extra 10% off
Good offers reasonable price
I really enjoyed the Now Hiring sign next to the Going out of business Everything must go! sign
Usually a decent place to shop, this time was not unfortunately.
Im not sure why this store is even open. There isnt anything in here anymore. Its like a ghost town. No one in the store and empty spaces everywhere. A waste of time.
We had come into the mall through sears and we picked up an online site-to-store order there, well long story short my mother and I ran to the restroom on the way out of the store, my mother went first while I walked around with my son in his stroller and waited for my mother to finish using the restroom so she could stand with my son so I could go. One employee, who had stood around watching me the entire time I was walking around waiting for my mother and then very loudly said “code 3, suspected shoplifter by women’s restrooms” into her walk-talkie. So three more employees came and watched me walk around by the restrooms (where there are riding lawn-mowers and grills, not even things that could be “shop-lifted” very easy). After I used the restroom and came back out, the employees were still standing there now watching my mother and son because we are apparently extremely suspect characters. *insert eye roll*.Perhaps you should hire staff who aren’t such complete morons, and who have better things to do then stand around and accuse paying customers of shop-lifting because they’re obviously waiting to use the restroom. I will not be back to this location. And to the fat black-haired lady, you’re a moron, try using common sense and even if you suspect someone of shop-lifting, a little discretion goes a long way.
Slow but great deals
Friendly staff and good selection of items!
Sears is under rated. They have everything. Their merchandise is not much different than Marys or JC Penneys, yet people refuse to shop. Marketing? I dont know how Sears can change consumers snobbery.
The clerks in the appliance department were very helpful but the online/customer pick up is terrible. Slow, unwilling to help, and lots of run around.
Richard Warren Sears was born in Stewartville, Minnesota in 1863 to a wealthy family, which moved to nearby Spring Valley.[5]In 1879, Sears father died shortly after losing the family fortune in a speculative stock deal.[5] Sears moved across the state to work as a railroad station agent in North Redwood, as well as in Minneapolis. While in North Redwood, a jeweler received an impressive shipment of watches which were unwanted. Sears purchased them, then sold the watches at a low price to the station agents and made a considerable profit. In Minneapolis, he started a mail order watch business in 1886, calling it R.W. Sears Watch Company. Within the first year he met Alvah C. Roebuck, a watch repairman. The next year, they relocated the business to Chicago. In 1887, R.W. Sears Watch Company published Richard Sears first mail-order catalog – in this case, offering watches, diamonds, and jewelry. In 1889, Sears sold his business for $100,000 ($2.7 million today) and relocated to Iowa, intending to be a rural banker.[6]Restless, Sears returned to Chicago in 1892 and established a new mail-order firm, again selling watches and jewelry, with Roebuck as his partner, operating as the A. C. Roebuck watch company. In 1893, they renamed the company to Sears, Roebuck & Company and began to diversify the product lines offered in their catalogs. Before the Sears catalog, farmers near small rural towns usually purchased supplies – often at high prices and on credit – from local general stores with narrow selections of goods. Prices were negotiated, and relied on the storekeepers estimate of a customers creditworthiness. Sears took advantage of this by publishing catalogs offering customers a wider selection of products at clearly stated prices. By 1894, the Sears catalog had grown to 322 pages, featuring sewing machines, bicycles, sporting goods, automobiles (later produced, from 1905 to 1915, by Lincoln Motor Car Works of Chicago, no relation to the current Ford line),[7]and a host of other new items. By 1895, the company was producing a 532-page catalog. Sales were greater than $400,000 ($10.9 million today) in 1893 and more than $750,000 ($22.1 million today) two years later.[8] By 1896, dolls, stoves and groceries had been added to the catalog.
Always the best auto service
You can find good appliances at Sears and they last for a long time
I bought a water softener, was told it would be delivered, set up, and the old one hauled away. I was sold an extended warrenty as well. First off, is he delivery date was changed because it wouldnt get to the warehouse in time for the initial delivery date. After rescheduling, the water softener was delivered, but they had no intention of setting it up. Ive been on the phone for well over an hour and am now waiting for a call back from the third person which I will, for the third tme, tell my story to. A ths point, it doesnt matter to me how this is resolved, Im still going to be disappointed with the customer service Ive received.
Good! Not busy in the morning! Sometimes hard find a cashier around!
I went to the Sears location on N Division today with my fiancée and bought an air conditioner and a box fan. The person who helped us load the AC unit into our car dropped it on the curb and when we got home I saw that not only was the air conditioner broken, but the box fan was completely crushed in the center. When I took them back to the store they replaced both and that wasnt too terrible but then I got home and the other box fan I was given was also crushed in the center. Overall I just had a bad experience with this location and didnt find the staff to be very helpful either when we were actually picking something out. My fiancée and I wont be buying from this store again...
Not happy with the product and especially the service. Was told over the phone that the defective item that had a lifetime warranty was no longer availableI was told I could return it for store credit. When I got to the store, a different scenario occured. I then was told that I could only exchange it for an item that was half the price of my original purchase. Frustrated, I accepted the exchange. Lifetime warranty at sears is not what it used to be.
Great prices friendly ppl
Pleasantly surprised with the selection and prices.
Closing in October 2019. This location will start a closing sale soon with a scheduled permanent closing of sometime in October 2019.
Great prices on jeans and shirts for guys.
Sears is a great store with high end stuff
Its a ghost town. Probably has some great deals though, if you can find anyone to ring you up.
A Great place to buy tools and pantys
I prefer to buy my cloths from Sears.
I only like your pajama section
Great sale prices.
Lots of sales, place is closing in October. Nows the time to get those special deals, though the shelves are picked over.
