Disappointing is an understatement. Visited on a Friday just before 1:00 p.m. During my 15 or so minutes in the store I encountered at least 3 employees. One was helping a customer, one was stocking shelves, and another was helping a gal in the back of the store. One employee actually walked past, looked at me and kept going. I was so excited to visit this yarn shop, as I am new to the area. Obviously, they do not need new business. Good to know.
This isnt your standard craft store! Extremely nice and helpful people for someone new to knitting. They spent the time with us and actually seem to enjoy what they do. You dont get that kind of customer service very often.
Im visiting Spokane for the summer and was really excited to check out this shop. Unfortunately, I was so disappointed! The shop is large and seems to have a good selection. However, customer service is terrible. I walked in and hesitated, started looking around, then walked around a bit. I was not greeted by the person behind the counter at any time. The woman behind the counter was complaining about a customer and reading an email from the customer out loud to someone standing at the counter. This seemed unprofessional. I hesitated near the counter, still no pause in her reading/complaining and no offer to help me. After being completely ignored and listening to an employee read a customers email and disparaging the customer, I didnt feel as if customers are valued here at all. I had been hoping to check out some classes or drop in knitting/crochet sessions and purchase some scrumptious yarn, but was so put off by the lack of customer service that I left and wont be back.
Great selection of yarns, with better shipping rates than what I could find at other online retailers.
Im always overwhelmed with the massive selection here. I could easily spend two hours just looking through everything.
Awesome place to shop for unique fibers. And Fiber Land in amazing. Brace yourself if you go. Its a wooly wonderland.
My favorite store, the best place in town for spinners and crafty folks🙂
Love coming here, store is AMAZING, and a great rewards program. It is a specialty store for sure, not Michaels/JoAnns (great hobby stores) so definitely ask for help for something particular you are looking for, even if you are a seasoned knitter/spinner/crochter/weaver/fiber artist. Introverts will love it here.If youve seen my social media posts of the yarn Ive spun, this is the place I buy from. Also, as spinning is getting popular again, this place has wheels, parts, bands, spindles, and all that.
I wish I knew this was here before ever buying wool online, their wool product is great. Picking my stuff out in person os so much more inspiring for my crafts. They have more than just wool and yarn, too, and you can go upstairs to find some more specific colors. And friendly staff 💯
I love this store. I was looking for a local yarn shop as I wasnt a fan of the selection at JoAnn. This store blew me away with the quantity and quality of products available!
Truly amazing. Its an experience as much as a store.
I asked to see an E-Spinner so I could decide what brand I wanted to purchase. Long and short is this... I was dressed in my barn clothes and was treated like I was some homeless person who came in off the streets just to warm up. I’ve gone here so many times so I was shocked to be told “Out.” The 2 women who were there were so rude. So so so rude.
Great selection and lovely people. I asked how to effectively unwind and ball up a hank of yarn, and the person who rang me up took it and wound it up for me!
I’ve been taking my wife here for years. If you do any facet of the world of fiber arts this is a”must do”. Friendly folks who are there to help.
The yarn is beautiful and the workers are super friendly. You can definitely tell how much they love crafting and yarn and are quick to share their joy.
Love this place, fiber galore for knitters, weavers, felters and general fiber lovers. Super nice people, very helpful.
So much fiber. Super friendly and helpful
Was totally wowed by this absolutely huge yarn and fiber warehouse! Great selection. Didnt have time to explore properly..... Have never seen so much roving for you fiber artists. Wish this was in my Texas town!
Such a cool shop. One of the ladies gave me a quick spinning demo. Everyone so friendly and welcoming, and great yarn selection!
Very knowledgeable staff. Had very good advice! Amazing selection!!!
Awesome selection!
Paradise fibers is the place to shop for all fiber art supplies. The customer service is the very best. The store is amazing with the best yarn and spinning supplies. I couldnt believe all the available yarns. There is even a space for people to sit and try out new spinning wheels.
Horrible customer service! After 2 months waiting for my order to be shipped they emailed me telling me I owe more money or it will remain on hold because of an error on their website!
The wife love to shop there and the staff is always helpful
Whether visiting when in Spokane, or shopping on line, my experience has always been wonderful. Fiber of the Month Club is something I look forward to each month, and videos are great viewing. Highly recommend.
The outside needs a power wash but the inside is so wonderful, colorful, and organized! Im still in awe. I dont do much with yarn but I feel inspired after visiting here. The ladies at the front desk were so friendly and inviting.
Used to have more selection of yarn and fibers. Not very many wheels to try. Indidnlike the new labelling system. Made finding prices, yarn content etc easy. However was harder to find the weight of yarn I wanted (sock), as everything was only separated by brand of yarn, not weight
Awesome store, so many beautiful yarns. The staff is very helpful and walked around the store with me to help me pick a yarn that would work for my project. The yarn here is not cheap, but it is amazing quality and made with natural fibers, not the synthetic stuff at most craft stores. I will definitely be back!
I love the feel of being in an old time floor to ceiling book store. Walking through its beautifully organized. Walk to the back and youll feel like you are walking into another world when you go to Fiber Land.. you can see SPINNING wheels.. the old timing ones (but new), looms, brushes for the fiber, and wall to wall tubs of merino wool, yak, and other fibers to spin with. 😍 its amazing! Just ask, and someone will show you from start to finish, how to make your own wool!
Amazing shop!!! Amazing selection. Ladies were so helpful; giving tips, advise, even printing patterns for me. Ill be back for sure!!!Update: many visits since my original post. Again, every time I go in, its a wonderful experience. Yesterday my 17 yr old daughter went in and asked for help finding yarn so I could finish a baby blanket for my first grandson that will be born any minute! They were wonderful, even made a cake from the hank I needed. They were life savers yesterday! Thank you all!
It has everything you could want for needle felting, and the employees were very nice!
What a wonderful store. We were visiting family and we stopped in to see the store. Miss Ellie was so kind to spend time with us as I am interested in learning to weave. She told us all about looks & the different kinds available etc. She even sent me links to a lot of good websites. Thank you so much Ellie.
I bought a Revolution spinning wheel from Paradise Fibers three years ago. Its a fantastic wheel! I use it a lot, and have made incredible yarns on it. And after three years, some parts didnt operate as smoothly as at the beginning. I contacted Paradise Fibers and Bill called me back immediately to find out what the problem was. I sent in one part, he fixed it in a day, and sent it right back. Paradise Fibers stands behind their products 100%, and are truly interested in making your experience with them positive. I love my wheel, and I love knowing that if I need help with it, that help is there. Besides that, their selection of fibers is amazing and reasonably priced. I wish I lived closer so I could actually see the store and meet the people.
My first visit to Paradise Fibers. Wont be my last. I loved the huge selection of yarns and found such a pretty one for the gift socks I will be making (along with a pair for me). Friendly, helpful staff. It was fun seeing the spinning wheels and looms (neither of which are in my future!).
I love this place!! They have amazing quality yarn, roving, and all your knitting and crochet needs! They will also wrap your yarn into a yarn ball for you on request for free, if it comes in a hank of yarn, you’ll want to ask for this! They have lots of beautiful wool yarn of the best quality as well as many others, if you are into knitting, you must go here, you will die!!😍🥰😍🥰🧶🧶
Loved it
Ive traveled all over the country, and stop off at yarn stores when ever I can. This is by far the biggest independent yarn store Ive been to. (Short of a very large shipper on the east coast.) but it still feels cozy and organized. Selection is excellent, a little short on sparkly, but they definitely make up for it with color selection. Staff were great - very friendly. They stay out of the way so you can think, touch, and plan without pressure, but also stay in one spot so you can find them when needed. A lot of quality yarns which do cost more, but they do have lower cost synthetics (in great neons to boot!). When were in town next, Ill definitely be coming in again. And Ill be checking their website frequently.
This place is AMAZING! Best roving supply I’ve ever seen. Extremely reasonable prices. The employees are very nice and helpful!
Quite a variety of product, but high end and too expensive for a Social Security recipient.
So knowledgeable and sweet! They had a winder to tidy up your new skeins of yarn for your current project. LIFE SAVER
Such nice women that work here, plus very helpful. Spokane has some of the most polite people in the state. This store has a HUGE selection of yarn, my partner is knitting constantly and stops in this store to purchase supplies.
Love this store great people with amazing products
This place IS paradise for the fiber enthusiast! The atmosphere is great, the staff is so helpful and accommodating and the yarn & fiber selection is immense. I cant say enough good things about Paradise Fibers!!
Very friendly staff. I had many questions concerning buying a spinning wheel and received lots of help. I also received good advice using the dyes they sell. A beautiful store with wonderful fiber products.
I paid to ship yarn from this shop all the way to New Zealand only to find out the product description on their website was incomplete and I can’t use the yarn. Not a happy customer!
Friendly staff. Nice selection.
It seems that this place sells yarn and stuff. It kinda smells like really clean sheep. At least I think it does, I dont think I have ever actually smelled a clean sheep. Everyone was real nice, but I was kind of weird because that is what I do. I may come back and get one of those knot doohickies so I can make my own denial floss.Jennifer is very tall, I look up to her.
They have a wonderful selection of beautiful yarn. The employees know their products, are friendly and helpful..
I like the selection of knitting needles. Large variety of yarns wool to linen. They have spinning wheels. Those that want perks, they have a point program that goes by your email.
Beautiful yarns and amazing selection. Also such great help from the staff. Cant wait to return.
Very helpful and friendly yarn store!
Bought an Addi crochet hook and Top This ball and stuffy head. It has a hat pattern but Im going to make a lovie. Will be going back to get more later.
This shop is AMAZING! Even my husband was overwhelmed with the selection! Service was top notch. Found a sample sock I liked and the nice lady searched high and low to find the ONE skein they had in the shop and even offered to order and ship other colors if I wanted. Top notch place! Will defiantly be back!
Definitely won’t bother coming here again. Customer services from hell!
My favorite yarn shop in Spokane. Gotta love the selection of Malibrigo, my favorite yarn of all time.
Best yarn shop in town! The selection is unparalleled and the customer service is fantastic -- these ladies have literally taught me different stitches, corrected my mistakes, and assisted me throughout my learning process. I can only imagine that any reviewers complaining about customer service were simply upset that this shop doesnt carry cheap yarn at big box store prices.
The selection is HUGE!! If you knit this is a must stop.
I love Paradice Fibers. Luckily, I was there when staff had time to explain the directions and then knit a few rows to show me the pattern. Im a happy knitter.
I have been in this store a couple different occasions, The first time I came in to see if additional bobbins could be found for my old trusty, no brand name castle spinning wheel. The craftsmen in the back were fabulous and made me two. 5 stars for that visit. Last week after doing some extensive research I decided it was time to consider a new, more versatile wheel. I had pretty much decided I wanted the Kromski Minstrel so I was going to be in Spokane, 87 miles from my home, and stopped by hoping to maybe take one home... I was the only customer in the store, there were 2 clerks at the counter visiting, I ask where I might look at the spinning wheels and I was promptly directed towards the back room up a ramp. I fully expected someone would want to show me the wheels, and inquire what I was specifically looking for.... No, evidently not. I spent close to 10 min up there looking around and waiting for service that never came. They had an array of wheels sitting around, no brands or pricing posted, no obvious listing of any others etc.. On my way back down to the main floor I saw a small sign on a cluttered desk directing people to pick up the phone and dial 200 for service. I may of done that had the store had even 1 other customer in it, they didnt. Nor were there any signs of customers coming in as I left, I wasnt ask if I needed any assistance, or found what I was looking for, NOTHING but basically, have a nice day. For this visit I wont even give 1 star. I came away so surprised and discouraged with the total lack of customer service I dont know that I will ever return. Am looking for a wheel elsewhere at this time. :( I love spending my money locally I am so disappointed with this experience...P.S. I spent many, many years working with the public, this is not how you build a positive customer base.
My happy place. I adore this store. The products, and amount of selections are fantastic and the staff is friendly and always helpful.
Wow! So many yarns. If youve gone into a craft store and wondered where is all the wool? Well, its here at Paradise Fibers. They have thousands of different types of yarns and all have some amount of wool or alpaca or other animal content. Prices are reasonable. Selection is phenomenal. Who would have thought SPokane would have such a great fiber store.
Awesome selection of all things fiber. Staff are amazing. Ellie stayed late just to talk weaving with me. I learned so much in such a short time. By far my favorite store in Spokane. You all rock!
My absolute favorite place. The clerk in the fiber department goes way WAY out of her way to help me find the perfect item. Lots of tactile things for the grandsons to experience
OHHHHH.......MYYYYYY.......I cant even come up with words to describe my love for this business!! Not only does it offer anything a knitter could ever want, but the service is excellent. The staff is so friendly and knowledgable......I felt like part of the family!! :)
The nicest people. Most intriguing store. Amazing fibrous things.
I came across this store by accident...one of the best accidents I have made. I love how fast and quick you receive your orders. They even have an AMAZING selection of kinds of brands. If you dont find it here I would say they would be able to get it. I love the rewards program they have. If I purchase online I look to Paradise Fibers FIRST!!!
Thanks for the help today! Knowledgeable and friendly staff helped me quickly find exactly what I needed for my project.
Helpful staff and a wonderland of high quality yarns!
The team here is so helpful, and there is so much amazing yarn and fiber! Dont forget to go back to Fiberland after perusing all the amazing yarn. Theres another room full of fiber waiting for you to see!
Good variety of things I need. I always enjoy shopping here with my wife.
Staff is very knowledgeable... so much to choose from, I felt like a little kid in a candy store.
Fairly good selection. Prices are a bit steep, but quality is there. Also a great shop for spinners with their Fiber Land in the Mezzanine level.
A great place to get wool.
I have been to this place on several occasions and the staff is very helpful and selections are abundant. Nice place.
I was amazed at how large this store was. It had a very good selection of yarn, and the space was huge! how is it Spokane can support this business? Maybe because there isnt a lot of competition? Who knows.
I live in Winchester, VA and my daughter has to do a project on sheep. She wanted to hand out some raw wool to her classmates and unfortunately there are no sheep farms around the area. I stumbled up Paradise Fibers and called them on Friday 10-19-12 and spoke with Travis. I explained to him the situation and he was extremely generous and was able to send me a pound of raw wool which I received today, 10-23-12, and all I had to pay was shipping. I will absolutely recommend this business to anyone. The customer service and timeliness on receiving my order was outstanding. Anyone wanting to purchase fiber, knitting, or yarn products online should absolutely get in touch with this company! Thank you so much Travis!!
I was very excited to check out this place because of the huge selection but was disappointed when I was there in person. There is as a ton of selection but really nothing that jumped out at me. I didnt find the pricing that great, they had few hand dyed yarns and I ended up leaving empty handed which is rare when yarn is out in front of me.
Bought some yarn for a crochet project and loved it! The yarn was soft, held together well and the color was spot on. Saved a little money with a coupon code. I will use them again in the future!
Biggest selection of yarns Ive seen in my travels! They also have roving, looms, and spinning wheels. Couldnt find the knitting needle size I wanted and didnt have any interaction with staff until checkout. However, if you are looking for yarn, go here!
Cute little shop with a little room of pattern magazines & books. Lots of yarns at various prices. I dont like how the yarns are sorted by brand name instead of weight.
Huge store, everything a knitter could want and more. Also lovely staff.
All the fabulous things can be found within their walls!
So disappointed! Im in from arkansas and then drove 1.5 hours to get here and found the store closed on a Wednesday. Another woman there waiting drove 6 hours! There was an employee there who not-so-politely refused to let us in. Ive heard such great things and am very sad not to get to see this store. They are closed all week and there is nothing on their website to say that.
The customer service is top of the line. The staff is so helpful and friendly.
Huge selection and very knowledge staff willing to drop everything to get you the perfect project.
Huge yarn shop and friendly staff. Visited while traveling and found lots of yarn I had not seen before. Excited to go back next time Im in Spokane.
First of all when I ordered, no where did it say my items were backordered. I Had to contact them to find out since it wasnt shipping and they said it would be longer since they had to order it internationally, which was fine with me at first, but it ended up taking 2 months to get all of my items, they also were shipped in 2 separate packages. The first package contained only part of my order, and I had to contact them to inquire about the rest of my items, which they did not even realize had not been sent with the first package. Customer service was fairly nice but not very prompt, and I had to be the one initiating contact over my order multiple times. I then had to wait even longer to get the rest of my shipment. It was a huge hassle and I will not be ordering from this store again.
My favorite Spokane store. The best selection of yarn anywhere.
Awsome selection! I was so overwhelmed when I first walked through the doors by all the colors and textures. If you are a spinner (yarn) this place is truly a paradise! I am still pretty new to fibers as anything other than crochet but boy are there options no matter what you do! The only thing I think they could improve would be customer service. You really do have to seek them out, and they assume that you know exactly what you need/want. To be fair most of their transactions are done online so the people there are normally running that end of the business, but it would be helpful indeed if they at least said hello when someone entered the door...
I went up to the cash register counter...TWICE...with items I wanted to purchase and some questions to be asked. Neither time did anyone look up from their computers to acknowledge my presence. I put my items back and left after the second time. Not sure I will be returning to this store if thats how potential customers are treated. I only recently moved to Spokane but have been very pleased with the friendliness and helpfulness of Spokanites, and I would have imagined that a yarn shop staff would have been especially helpful, so this was quite surprising. Disappointing, too, because the inventory was great. Ill find somewhere else or buy online.
Im so pleased with my experience, the staff were friendly and very helpful, it was fantastic, not to mention the wonderful yarns.
It was fantastic wonderful thank you much
Very helpful staff. Huge place. Tons of yarn, fiber and accessories.
Excellent fiber selection and friendly staff
