This is one of the best hardware stores Ive ever been to. Number 1 in Spokane for sure. For a little store they have a great inventory.the staff there are super friendly and eager to help but not overbearing.they charged me 6$ to fix a lock and he did it really fast.my new favorite hardware store.

The staff understand plumbing, electricity, tools, renovations of 100 year old houses, etc. Theres a framing shop within the store & the guy in paint is skilled. Excellent equipment rental. Staff are super friendly & knowledgeable. A great soda & candy selection. Ill go back just to listen to the 1950, 60s piped in music.

I had the pleasure to discover this great little store with its incredibly helpful staff while doing a recent kitchen remodel for a friend. Each visit was greeted with a smile and the item I needed. The staff was more than helpful, they were knowledgeable about their products and really saved me time and money with their feedback. I really wish more locally owned stores like this existed.

I posted a negativw review.and then i received.a phone call ftom the.owner. i explained the situation which in fairness.worked.out just fine and honestly.i over reacted. i just want to commend the owner Larry Meyers for his attention, understanding and resolve to my issue. The employees here are fantastic!!. I always get the information that I need. The knowledge is free, however the parts or whatever it is your needing to fix or repair arent. But so well worth it!!!! Thank you to everyone who works at this store in the Garland area. You have helped me more than you will probably ever know.

I have to give this place five stars!!! I actually was HELPED during my search for an item and the person that helped me was able to determine that I probably should not buy what I was looking for based on my description of the situation. I ended up buying other things I needed instead of going to another store, they have a little bit of everything. And yes, I have gone back there time after time because I love the customer service! Also the hometown feel of a hardware store and the knowledge of those who work there!

The gentleman that helped me did not have to go through the effort to actually carved and construct in the shop a non-existent piece of hardware to fit a bracket. We went in to have a few keys cut and really enjoyed the hometown feel. The employees werent afraid to make friendly small talk and were very helpful. After checking out we spent some time looking through their outdoor sculpture garden and nursery, and will definitely be back in the spring to pick up landscaping supplies for the yard.

This place has it all....dont let the size of the place fool you ! Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff on deck to assist ! Try finding that at the big box stores....I dont even ask those people for help....most the time I know more about what I need than they do. Anyway, possibly one of the last of the local hardware stores in town...except for my other favorite on the south hill.

Great place. Small, well-staffed, and unlike some of the big box stores, they know their trade. No hunting the aisles to find an employee who will most likely have no idea what youre talking about when you explain a project. Very good customer service, locally owned, and while theres obviously less selection than a box store, the products they offer are quality.

Super friendly staff. Eager to help and answer questions. Great selection of inventory. Ive gotten parts for my camper screen door, outdoor stove pipe, kitchen sink faucet, and keys; just to name a few. Love this place glad we have a hardware store close to this side of town.

It is unfortunate that my occasion of using these people was a negative one. I contacted them to get a Tool rental and because of the price of the rental I started asking the gentlemen the cost of just buying a similar product over just renting it and he cut me off and told me he was too busy with a major attitude. Im sure that other employees at this place are great, but this particular employee was downright rude.

I was in the market to have my carpets cleaned and I went to several stores. (Including some big box stores). At River Ridge Hardware the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They explained to me what I would need to clean my carpets effectively, exactly how to operate said equipment, and even gave me recommendations for a carpet carpet cleaner that is more effective, and less expensive then larger known carpet shampoo. Its even produced locally, better on the environment, and safer around my pets and kids. Would highly recommend River Ridge Hardware for all your home repair needs!

I rented a tiller from this place and I got the 24 hour rental after talking with someone there about it. Apparently renting it for 24 hours doesnt mean you can use it for 24 hours. I was charged extra for bringing it back a couple of hours EARLY because I used my rental for 9 hours.I called A-Z rental and asked them how much their rental was for 24 hours and it turns out they are cheaper and they dont have some strange fine print rule about using your rental for so many hours during your 24 rental.The one positive thing is the equipment I rented was basically new and worked well.Company did not ask me to leave feedback

You wont find this kind of service at a national chain/box store. They remember your name and can help with just about anything. This is my first go-to for things I need around the house. They have my paint color for every room on file.

Where to begin? I just LOVE the fact that this is in our neighborhood. Its close, convenient, and friendly. Do they have everything? No, but it has just about everything you may need, and everything Ive ever needed when in a pinch. The big box stores dont carry everything either, so no love lost there. Theyre local! The former owner was local. The new owner is local. Theres a genuine interest in helping the neighborhood and contributing to the community - something that rarely happens with distant owners and impersonal corporations. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and doesnt have a high turnover. They tend to remember their customers, if not by name, then certainly by facial recognition. I could go on at length as to why I love this store but no one really has time to read all of that. So, Ill just end with a few simple thoughts. Its a hardware store, its in the neighborhood, and Im very glad theyre here. River Ridge Hardware is a contributing member of the community, are good stewards and makes for a great neighbor. And whether someone owns or rents their place to live theres always a need for a hardware store nearby without having to drive across town. And as far as dealing with business in the neighborhood, small business doesnt have the revolving door of tractor-trailer traffic that comes with being a big box store.

Best hardware store in the city! Its not the biggest place but they seem to have most things we need for our projects and theyre always happy to order in whatever they dont have. Many of the employees are very helpful. Some not so much. When you shop there often enough, you get to know who to ask for advice.

Just a few blocks from our house so I go here all the time. Employees are really helpful and prices arent bad at all. Great place to get stuff for all your projects.

I have been to river ridge hardware about 60 times and recieve THE BEST SERVICE EVER! I have rented jack hammers, trenchers, bought concrete and plumbing parts, i have bought tools, bits and blades. I am always shocked at how much stuff they fit in the shop! It is worth stopping here first before you go suffer at the big box store. Its the helpful people that keep me coming back, ive always left this store feeling better than when I came in.

The staff set this store apart from a big box store. Theyre knowledgeable, friendly and eager to help with any project. Even if you dont know what youre doing, they can point you in the right direction. The store is small, but packed, and rarely doesnt have what I need.

Most of the time you are greeted near the door and asked what they could find for you. They are always helpful and friendly.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.Under new management. NOT for the better.I grew up in the Spokane area and because of this, I have very fond memories of river ridge over the last 20 years. In one visit it was all ruined. I was shopping with my six year old, got upsold on a product that cant physically fix my problem, and when I tried to return the item I was met with a belligerent store owner. The individual went out of his way to cut me off (interrupting me every time I tried to say anything with a loud Sir!) at every attempt to explain what had happened. He then proceeded to make up his own story with the product I purchased. (You put this down your toilet and now you expect me to try selling it?) Not at all how the old owner wouldve handled it. The new store owner even lied to me shouting he would have to eat the product, they have a policy where they can return ANYTHING to the manufacturer as defective. Poor business choice to make overall, but especially with a local that has family and friends in the area that will also be boycotting the place.Even the poor employees gave condolences and have said how awful things are, working there now.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I went here to rent a ladder. The clerk took my money and then told me The Boss has it (Bruce Springsteen?). I told him didnt know what that meant. He told me that I Could Not rent the ladder because The Boss has it. He then began to give me my money back. When I asked if the ladder would be available to rent he could not answer. He then made a phone call. After the call he said it might be only be an hour but he wasnt sure.The poor guy really had no clue except that The Boss was way more important than me and that I wasnt getting the ladder I paid for until The Boss was done with it no matter how long it took. Hours, days, weeks it didnt matter because The Boss came first.So I went to A to Z rentals and rented a ladder there. That is where I will go from now on. Luckily The Boss doesnt rent there. I dont know who The Boss is but hes way more important than the customers here.
