We bought a building package through Discount Lumber and had it built in the fall of 2019. The following Spring all of the trim around our 12’ doors buckled and we waited almost 2 years for the builder to come fix it. We finally decided to repair it ourselves and when I went to buy the new metal Mike heard me talking to the counter guy and took my address and actually came to look at the trim. He told me the correct way to fix it and what materials I needed and had them ran right away. Mike went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied with our building. I would recommend purchasing your building package and building supplies from Discount Lumber! Wonderful company to deal with.

Discount lumber is the place for many building needs. The prices on material are way better than most places around but more important was the employees, especially Mike Hellman. He was very patient, professional and had answers for everything I needed as we worked on my order through phone calls and e-mails throughout the week. Needed some metal roofing for our barn. Came to Discount Lumber and was blown away by the fantastic service I received.They quoted 4 days for the order but had it ready in 2!To top it off, Mike went out of his way to get the load delivered, after we realized it was too large for my own truck. He had Chris inspect the drop location, and they had my roofing delivered in less than an hour!Spectacular! Cant imagine going anywhere else after this kind of service! Went in looking for lumber to make a raised bed, big box stores are price gouging! I was able to purchase 4x6x10 for $9! Now have the best raised bed in my neighborhood, and they were very helpful and also cut rebar to length for 1/4 the price of home depot. They had the hardware to make my project effortless! I cannot recommend enough, at least stopping by to see what they have!

Had another pleasant experience with my visit to discount lumber today. I have made purchases there for at least the last ten years mostly due to their competitive pricing, including on their trusses. Few years back when building my shop a changed the design of the trusses as i decided to have storage above, and they reengineered no problem before building them. I have been buying supplies at Discount Lumber for some years now. My recent experience for metal and lumber purchases has been very noteworthy for the level of service I received which was excellent. Mike, the manager, as well as other employees, went “overboard “ in helping me through a problem I had with my project. The metal I purchased for roofing and siding was correct only I miscalculated for the ridge cap. I was a little short on one side to get good coverage from the standard ridge cap. I called Mike about the problem and he confirmed that he could make a wider one. He said it might take a few days which was no problem. However, he called that same day and said “why haven’t you picked up your new ridge cap”? I was astounded that he responded and got the cap made that same day. Mike and his crew care about their customers and excel at serving them. If one wants quality products and service Discount is the place to go. 👍👍👍👍

I am a Boy Scout. I was looking to get some 6x6x 20 ft beams for my Eagle Scout project, so I called several lumber companies in the Spokane area, but Discount Lumber gave me the best deal and then gave me a discount considering the community service aspect of this project. Their service was fast, accommodating, and polite. Despite several project timeline changes that affected when we could pick up the order.

Last year we shopped all over Spokane for corrugated metal siding and found Discount Lumber to have the best prices. They carefully went over our order to make sure we got what we needed--the first time. There was minimal waste, and we had no returns of extra material purchased. This year we added on to our shop, and I was sent with a list to pick up what we needed. I didnt know anything about my list. Mike, the manager, carefully reviewed my list, making notes where he had questions to make sure I got what I needed. A phone call to my son clarified the list. In no way did I feel he was inconvenienced by my lack of information. In addition I was able to come back in 1 1/2 hours at closing time to pick up all the items because they hurried and bent what needed to be bent in my order. This saved me a trip back to Spokane the next day. I highly recommend Discount Lumber because of their pricing, knowledge and customer service that truly responds to customer needs.

We use Discount Lumber every time we need metal siding and trim. Special orders have always been quick. They have extremely friendly and knowledge sales staff that are always there to help you. Mike is great. I have been buying lumber from him sence i moved to Mead. He has helped me with 2 large decks and metal roofing for my home. We just finished converting an older pergola to a patio cover with a metal roof. After researching metal roofing sources, we visited Discount Lumber and talked to Mike H. He was extremely helpful and answered all our roofing questions. We ordered everything we needed to complete our job: metal roofing panels (cut to the exact length we needed), trim pieces (two standard trims and one with custom dimensions), weather seals, and screws. We chose a beautiful sandstone beige color from the 22 colors available. We had a call within two days to come and pick up our roofing package. When we arrived to pick up our materials, Mike personally checked our entire order with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The materials were top quality and the roofing went on without a hitch. We are so glad we went to Discount Lumber for our roofing. We received great service, excellent installation advice and beautiful roofing, all for a lot less money than if we had bought our materials at a big box store. Once the order was placed it was ready in the time frame I was told it would be. Mind you this was during the holidays. Price was unbeatable. I will go no where else but here for future projects.

These guys are amazing! We showed up right after they opened and needed some tin for our roof. They helped us make sure we had everything we needed and told us it would take about an hour to cut all the tin that we needed. So we went to have breakfast. We had barely got sat down and they called to say they were done! My husband told them we had just sat down to eat so they told him no rush, it would be waiting when we were done. They got us loaded quickly and even made sure we were able to strap it down good. And their prices are the best!!!!

I have bought lumber, siding, roofing, and more from Discount Lumber and every time they are helpful and they had what I needed for a fair price if not lower than the other companies in Spokane area or online.

Usually, my hubs will buy his own lumber, but we only had a few hours left on the auger rental so he handed me a list. I felt a little silly, being that I know very little about lumber so I called ahead, and talked with Mike. He was very patient with me while I fumbled over our list. When I arrived a few minutes later, the guys in the yard knew my name and they had everything I needed ready go. I’m sure the owner would not appreciate me saying this but they even stayed a little late for me to grab a second load so we could beat the rain and get our poles in last night. They did so much more for us than what was required and we are so so thankful. We are so glad to have found this place.

Have been using their metal bending service for several years. When my dad had his house built he sourced all the metal from here. When my house burnt down in 2011 and I rebuilt in 2011/2012 I had the builders source all my roofing material through Discount Lumber and Truss. Their prices were far better than anywhere else the builders looked at on their own. As for customer service, I needed a couple of snow barriers for my dads roof, home depot said they were special orderand could have them in a week. I headed over to Discount Lumber and asked. They didnt have anything in the color I needed, so they bent me some there on the spot. Great service! Good friendly people there. Will use in the future when I need metal again!

Great service and people. Hard to beat their prices. Occasionally lumber may not be perfect, however that is true of any lumber yard. You have to watch what you are given and be willing to reject a piece before it’s loaded.When I rebuilt a porch on a 1911 craftsmen, Discount Limber was able to get me the cedar at 2/3 the cost of Intermountain. The general contractor was amazed at the quality and decided to start using them as one of his suppliers.They have been great helping me understand what was needed for a metal roof on a garage, and again are less expensive than anyone else I can find. They even ran a piece of eave drip edge and had it ready same day when I came up short. Impressive since all roofing materials are custom made and the pieces are not just sitting on a shelf.I would recommend anyone use Discount Lumber in Spokane. I know I will continue to.

This place was great!!! I was calling all around the Spokane area to find metal roofing in a 20 or larger piece so that I could do my roof with less seems. This place actually manufactures their own roofing and they can make it in lengths up to 60 long!!!! I will definitely be back again and I will absolutely be telling everyone I know about their capabilities👍💜👍

Wow just about covers it. Helpful, super knowledgeable and extra special nice. We were looking for specific rustic timbers. We found some, but not all. When we were paying, the yard called to say they may have found what we needed. Out we went again. A big box store isnt going to go the extra mile..on our way out made sure we had secured the timbers and thanked us for the business..wish I was building something else so I could go back. Im not one that likes to spend a lot of time writing reviews...however these guys at discount lumber are awesome! Im a general contractor here in spokane/deer park areas and rely heavily on communicating remotely to these guys to get me what I need for my jobs. So far I have not once had an issue with my order. My suppliers are just as important to me running my business as my clients are, which is why I choose to rely on discount lumber for a majority of my materials. Have dealt with these guys over the years. They know all about their products and have really helped when we have projects. They bend and roll metal in house which makes it easy getting custom stuff done. I would recommend them for all your building needs.

My husband & I are both handicapped and we enjoy our deck. But we have neglected it over the years. My wonderful son in-law is rebuilding it. We went to discount lumber on market, with alist. The people working there were so nice and filled my order. They took time to walk through what I needed that was not on my list. Showed me the wood they will deliver. Mark and Mike were very nowelageable about what we needed. A few days after the wood was delivered. Mike my son-in-law.went to get some more he stated he had very good service.

Good prices and quick service. I recently bought some lumber to build a shed and while I was there I found out that they roll their own metal. I was able to pick up my metal two days later and used that on the roof of my shed.
