Great place and is really small but I takes advantage of all the room they have. The biggest problem is that it took a hour to find this place its inside arcade the game palace. There is absolutely zero evidence of it existing it like finding a secret room. the only reason I found out when I decided to go in the arcade because I couldnt find the store and I didnt want to waste that drive.
Grew up as a sports card collector and gamer. The owners are coo and keep me updated on comics that I keep up with. They got me into many different cross over titles and popular comics. I started my comic career with these guys and drive 40 minutes each time to get my comics from them.
NOTE: this shop DOES exist. Dont let the lack of an outside sign confuse you. It is inside The Game Preserve. So look for that sign.Anyway, this is my favorite comic shop (And I have been to/go to a lot of comic shops). It is the smallest comic book shop Ive ever been in, but (1) they use their space wisely and efficiently, and (2) any of the four corners of this relatively small comic book shop have more personality than most shops do in their entire square footage. Good selection of currently running series, trade paperbacks of past runs, plenty of back-issues, and a $1 dollar bin.
I never leave here empty handed. I was having a hard time getting my 10yr old son to read at the house. He is a hardcore gamer (runs in the family), and its hard to interest him in books when video games tell a more interactive story. With the release of Street Fighter 5, he has been curious about the back stories of characters and their connection to one another. It just so happens that Udon has a new Street Fighter Unlimited comic out that showcases all that. Thanks to the recommendation from the guys at Killer Kaiju, my son cant wait to visit the comic shop every month for his next comic fix (I get to read them too). Great place to discover new comics, and talk about everything comic related. Highly recommended this place! Get a sign on the front of the building already!
What more could you ask for? Not only is this comic shop located inside an arcade but the dudes that run the shop are about the coolest fellas that you could hope to meet. Seriously, if you are looking for a place to get your comic and pop culture fix, without all the nerd elitism, you cant find better than the Killer Kaiju. I moved out of state two years ago and I still have them ship my comics to me.
The place is inside an arcade, but there is no advertising for the comic store outside. Nice collection though.
They are just awesome people :)
This place is RAAAAAAAAAD!!!!!!
