My experience happened a couple of months ago but I’d still like to share. Previously for more than a year, since moving here, this was the only store I went to. They had a pretty decent selection and the store was always clean and organized when I went. The prices were okay and the customer service I’d received until that day wasn’t like over the top good but it hadn’t been super bad either. They do watch you like a hawk, but I don’t steal so I would just ignore that and still shopped there 2-3 times a week. Sometimes small purchases, sometimes large. One this particular day I bought two items— a large bottle of liquor and a small one out the glass case in the front. I always make sure I get a receipt. After checking out I noticed they charged me too much for the small bottle. This was in the glass case with several in a row with the prices taped in front of the bottles. I told the guy and he was like Oh that’s the right price, we’ve been moving stuff around. Then he went and peeled the taped price off the case. It was only a dollar difference but it was my dollar. Also let me add that I had purchased the exact same item for the price taped on the glass before. He refused to give my dollar back so I decided not to make a scene over a $1. I left and haven’t been back since. It’s just the principle of it for me. There are far too many other liquor stores in the area for me to even think about spending my money there again.

This business was recently bought by some guys that don’t know how to give customer service. Prices have gone up! The guy at the register complained about giving me an extra bag while he was talking in his phone. Feels like a cheap gas station. It made me really miss and appreciate the former owner.

Stay FAR far away from this place - and call the TABC. There is evidence they are refilling their bottles with cheap liquor. Dont believe me? Google Empress 1908 Gin and youll find that the gin has an unmistakable indigo blue colour with a gold cap. Go to the store to find this bottle and what will you find? CLEAR gin in a bottle that says its supposed to be indigo with a SILVER cap. Empress does not sell a clear gin AT ALL.This is absolutely fraudulent AND DANGEROUS. Youre about to have a very Happy New Year, new owner.

2 seconds from where we live and we’re in there constantly. We’ve become so aquatinted with the owners they are so friendly and such wonderful people. Absolutely love this place.
