Darren(spelling?) is a fantastic associate and represents 511 customer service in an upstanding way! She helped me return an item of an inappropriate size, find a new item, and did the exchange for me with no fuss at all! She helped me find something that met my standards and was incredibly polite. The entire interaction lasted only a minute. A breath of fresh air in customer service for this area!

The employees here really dont care about helping potential customers

Now I know the reason this place is always empty, it’s because the employees are completely worthless. It’s 100 times easier to just buy this stuff online without having to deal with these incompetent people.

Within ninety seconds of walking in, a rep asked if I needed help. But unlike stores, he walked over and paused...like he actually WANTED to help! He explained some things to me and was super helpful. The other rep offered to help after I finished in the dressing room. Just really nice and helpful people here. Ill be back.

Great service, went to find info regarding weapons regulations and even though they dont sell weapons, they were very helpful.

The store clerks were super helpful and nice. Helped me find what I needed without issue. My only gripe is Im a tall stalky guy and pant sizes are tough to find (length wise).

Excellent selection of mens and womens clothing for outdoor use, where using tools. Strong selection of boots with composite-toe protection. Belts, hats, and shirts for the rugged-wear environments, i.e. waterproof, rip-stop, quick-drying, etc. Company-owner store with reduced, but helpful hours. Some small tools, cases, bags/luggage, and medical kits. Knife and coin selection extensive. Well worth the stop.

THE go to place for tactical clothing / gear. From their 5.11 Apex pants (best pants ever) to their boots and bags! They have your needs and if its not in the store, just have them ship it there.

Great clothes, good gear, but 511 needs to step up their game a little. They give customers a limited edition monthly patch with every purchase over $100, but run out of them the first week of every month. 511 needs to distribute more patches to this store, or when they run out, offer one of their standard patches. I dropped $173 dollars today and since they already ran out of patches, did not get a little thank you gift for my continued loyalty!

Going into the store offers more of variety i believe than visiting the site. Great customer service.

What an amazing store! Although the location is small, the staff were incredibly helpful, selection was good and there was an abundance of clearance deals. As someone who wears this apparel for work everyday I appreciate having a retail store to go into. Unfortunately when I stopped at Fairfax store the staff were ignorant, hypocritical and rude so I left. Looks like I will have to drive to the Springfield store from now on.

My wife is from Sudan and wears her head covered with a head scarf. Her and I were recently at the Best Buy in the shopping center and decided to stop by 5.11 tactical to purchase some BDUs for my security detail. I am appalled at the store clerk!! When we first came in, he stared at my wife up and down, looked at me, grunted, then went back to doing something behind the counter. He stared at us with so much bigotry in his eyes as we walked the floor. Never felt more uncomfortable in my life!! Cant tell whether you didnt want us in there because we were African American, or because she was a Muslim?! Not only am I boycotting your store but your company as well. WORD TO THE WISE: 5.11 Tactical products can be found through e-commerce easier and cheaper than what you provide on location. The only way to stay profitable in this new age is through customer service. You definitely dropped the ball on that!!!

Well sticked store, offering a wide variety of clothing ans supplies. Prices are on par with other 5-11 outlets. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly and not bothersome during your browsing around. Definite recommend if you are looking for 5-11 or similar products.

I have no idea who all these people are who are claiming there’s great customer service here. Must have been a friends and family soft opening b/c when I walked in, one guy at the check out counter saw me (the registers are right in the middle of the store) and he didn’t say a word, just continued doing whatever he was doing. I found what I needed (a new backpack) but I’m placing my order on Amazon like any normal person who’s tired of retail indifference.

Great store, selection and staff!

I went in looking for some pants for work and was instantly greeted by someone who asked if needed help and when I said Im just looking he backed off and left me to look, I love that in stores, employees that dont hover around while you are looking around. When I did have a question someone was there and very friendly and helpful. The store was clean and well organized, looking for pants can be a pain but they were all in order by size. I didnt get to buy anything though because Im a fatty and in store their sizes go up to 40 or 42, dont remember which but the staff was knowledgeable enough to know that the website will have my size.

Great selection. Unfortunately this place is entirely to far to be a repeat customer. They need a Maryland location.

If you are looking for great clothes I highly recommend stopping here. They also have a decent selection of boots and shoes and a ton of patches.

Very nice staff. Asked if they had a certain bag in stock, they looked for the better half of 5 minutes and couldnt find it. Apologized and informed me that it could be ordered.

The folks at the Springfield 5.11 store were exceptionally personable and very helpful in my finding the right gear.

Pretty good. Pricy but high quality equipment and uniform gear. They have one pair of coyote brown DA-pam approved boots that look similiar to to the Nikes. My only complaint is that there isnt enough focus on military and more on first responders. For instance there shades arent APEL approved, and there is pretty much no coyote brown clothing here besides one pair of boots and high quality belts.

Tried to return a pair of pants with a receipt and was told they cannot accept them and to contact customer service. The pants were worn once and were still being sold in the store.

Amazing store to buy your gear, absolutely love it.

No holsters for anything but glock. Only 1 four foot section for holsters. You would think that a tactical store would have a lot more options for holsters. I will try another one but just looks like a clothing store to me. Not like it used to look.

Urban tactical clothing is now a fashion thing. 5.11 is the Chicos for urban lifestyle clothing and tactical duty and emergency service pros. Unfortunately,the brand tag makes for some of the cost.

Clothing, exclusive military cut

The 511 should go wherever you go when you come to the United States. Especially for those with some flesh. Also, if you catch a clearance or a stocktray, you can buy it very cheaply.
