We are second time customers of Carpet Fair, in Springfield, PA. They just completed our basement flooring remodel with new Vinyl plank wood flooring and carpet for the stairs. The entire process went smoothly - from the sales to installation. The communication and flexible scheduling really worked for us. In addition, Carpet Fair put us in contact with Monarch Billiards about moving our pool table to expedite the process. The install team lead by Edison was fantastic and left no detail unfinished. Just had carpet installed today! I went in about a week ago, picked out a pretty gray carpet they had in stock and they set me up for installation right away. The team was on time, quick, professional and very courteous to me and my home. The carpet looks awesome! We recently had new floors installed. We appreciated that Jose and his assistant made our experience feel safe and comfortable. They were very polite, hard working individuals who handled all aspects of our LVP flooring and carpet installations. You could see they took pride in their completed work as everything was meticulously done including the cleanup. Store personnel were also very cooperative and seriously considered my requests. Terrible padding material. Three stars are because they are very nice people . If you walk on my carpet you feel no padding at all because of the cheap padding they use. The lady I spoke with I tried to explain all issues that they left for me and one of them was padding she didn’t give me a space to explain. Her response was that guy who will go there to rectify your issues will take care of everything. When I someone with him the day he came he said he had no idea about padding!!!!.

Everyone was very helpful. I needed to work within a budget and Larry put time into helping me find the highest quality available at the price I needed. The carpeting is beautiful and the install went smoothly and was done well. The guys who came out to put the carpet in were polite and professional at all times. Highly recommend.

I called this place after calling many carpet companies and after speaking to the rep I knew I was going to work with them. They are very friendly and knowledgeable and actually care about your budget. Within a few days my carpet was complete and I’m extremely satisfied with the outcome! We had carpet installed in 6 rooms of our house last week. Carpet Fair did a great job coordinating this with us. They did it over two days and moved all of the furniture for us after we packed up the contents. They took care of the squeaks in the floor and were easy to work with. The manager from Carpet Fair checked in with us each day to make sure the job was going well. It was a very good experience!

The sales folks were great, and the install crew did a great job, the only minor challenge being communication. Carpet Fair was so far under other quotes I received that I was actually a little nervous before the install. That worry was wasted. Carpets look great and the work is near flawless. Installation of our carpeting by Carpet Fair on March 19th was excellent. From sales through Costco with Representative Tony Saracino, who was knowledgeable of products and his constant up-dates on install-Omar and his 2 assistants did a perfect job on actual installation. They worked diligently, removed all furniture from our very large family room and placed everything as it was.

I called in earlier and didnt catch the employee there because he didnt introduce himself but within a few seconds of asking my question, this older gentleman had an attitude with me over asking if he had a specific product in stock. I do have a very strong Philly accent so I feel he was being bias or something based on what he THINKS my background is by the sound of my voice. I tried to remain calm because I really needed this specific LVP flooring and wanted to know if it was in inventory but the employee at Carpet Fair started speaking very condescending to me and has zero respect. I even pointed out that Im a customer who wants to buy a large quantity from his store and he just lashed out and said NO YOURE A CUSTOMER WHOS ASKING FOR SOMETHING AND DONT KNOW THE PRODUCT CODE! When I asked if he can help me by filtering down the list by color or assist me because how am I supposed to know the product code, I gave the color code which exists and he claims he couldnt search by Shaws color code, but he made no effort in helping me or providing suggestions. I never met anyone who did NOT care to make a sale but Im surprised this store is even in business with an employee like that around. Id NEVER recommend this store to anybody, unless you want to feel belittled and disrespected.

My family and I went to the store to get a runner for our staircase after seeing some positive google reviews. A consultant named Larry helped us get started (however, we should have carefully read Facebook reviews on this guy, which warned about his behavior). After sharing what we wanted, he asked for my Father’s name for paperwork. When he heard the name, he paused, looked at my Father, looked at myself and my mom, and asked, “No really, what’s your REAL name?” Our family is non-Caucasian and while this discriminating and micro-aggression filled question should have been a red flag for us, we just ignored our feelings and moved on to select a runner. We were told someone would come out to our home to confirm measurements, and that we should hear from them in two weeks about the order.On September 1st a rep came to the house to see the stairs and took our deposit by check. Two weeks later my father stopped by the store to just follow up on our order, as it was on the way home from work. He saw Larry and asked about our order and Larry asked for my father’s name, which he provided. Larry quickly replied, “Who the F**** are you?” Shocked to hear an employee blatantly curse at a customer, my father said, “What a shame! Is this how you talk to customers? I have been working for over 30 years at the same company dealing with suppliers and customers, and I have never spoken this way.” Another employee came to see what was going on and my Father explained the situation again. This other employee shared that because of COVID things were delayed, which my father absolutely understood but asked why no one called to inform us. The other employee and Larry responded “We don’t give calls.” At that point, my father asked for a refund of the check deposit to cancel this order and he was told it had to come from the head office and so my Father left. After my Father shared what happened with my mother and another family member, they left a 1 star rating on google.When I called Mike, the manager, I informed him about the experience we had with Larry. He responded saying, “I have a hard time believing that Larry would say that” and to Larry’s account, it was my Father who was aggressive. As a manager, even if you didn’t believe it, and a customer shared they had a horrible experience, the first step would be for that manager to apologize and try to make it right.Mike made it clear with his combative tone that he didn’t want to acknowledge my father’s experience. So I asked about our refund which was promised at the store to my father upon departure. Mike stated this was a custom order which cannot be refunded. When I stated that we were never informed about that nor does the invoice have any record of it, he realized that ploy would not work and then changed his tactic to threatening us with no refund because of the bad reviews (referencing the reviews my family left that aren’t “fallacious” but a response to our experience and were potential customers that He just lost).He went on to state that “it’s unfair that after 40 years of business we’re receiving negative reviews because of this experience.” Two aspects we need to address: #1 What is this conversation at this point? I can write a review, good or bad, on any company I deal with. #2 What’s UNFAIR is that he missed the point completely: This is not what we wanted. We thought we were going to receive a beautiful runner from a local company that seemed to treat customers well. What’s UNFAIR is that as a Manager, Mike didn’t even acknowledge a customer’s bad experience or properly address an employee’s misbehavior. What’s UNFAIR is that He deflected fault and gaslighted my Father.We will go to another company that treats ALL customers with respect and dignity and hope this experience reminds you to treat people better. Honor your 40+ years of customer experience to everyone who walks through your door, that you so failed to show my family.

I’m happy a opted for a local business to install carpet in some on my rooms. Carpet Fair Has the best customer service that I have dealt with in a long time. They are always glad to help. I strongly recommend going to them before picking a large retail store. I’m looking forward to doing business with them again in the future.

Not so fare when looking for good service. Was greeted by a young gentleman and pushed out the door by another. I asked for someone in charge and they looked at one another confused, before I was asked to leave.

I would be giving 5 stars for 2 previous installations but unfortunately that stop with our third attempt of an installation and our dealings with Larry. We had been scheduled for a measurement on a Monday expecting a call that did not come. After 2 weeks I stopped by the store to see what the carpet was I wanted and to inquire as to what happened. Turns out Larry never put us in the computer which would forgivable but instead of an apology I received why did you wait 2 weeks and then when I went to leave he told me I was wrong to come to the store to take the samples I took photos of the carpet name I wanted because Larry had kept the original 2 weeks earlier. It is a shame as our other encounters had been so successful. My advice go to carpet fair avoid Larry.

Do you want your carpet, which is costing you a small fortune, professionally installed? I mean you cannot see a seam, thread lines up the way it should, edges tight, clean removal of old and efficient laying of new. These are your guys. The crew was In and out in 2 hours like magic (for a 300 sq ft room).I purchased the carpet through a Costco promotion, and Carpet Fair has the Costco contract. Michael came to my home with a bunch of samples he recommended after a discussion on the phone of what general ideas I was looking for. His suggestions were perfect and not a pressurized sale at all.They did Costco proud. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a low stress home project for a change. I would even use Carpet Fair if Costco was NOT involved. Trust and results are key.

I had cancelled an order at Home Depot for a number of reasons. I was looking for another place to order carpet on line. I found Carpet Fair which was local and called. The enthusiasm of the guy on the phone made me run out with paint all over. The customer service was amazing!!! Most important they deliver on their promises. They came out Monday, measured and installed the next morning as promised!!!!They carpet looks great!! It’s hard to find companies that deliver on their promises. I was very satisfied with Carpet Fair, they gave us a way better price than Home Depot. They did not charge us for someone to come to our home for measurements (Home Depot charged us $40.00). The rug was installed withing 7 days after purchasing and the installation crew was SO fast! they were in and out within about 2 hours. We love the way it came out and the quality is great. Not only did they do an amazing jobs with the rugs they installed, which are high-quality Shaw, but as a courtesy, they also took a runner I brought with me, cut and bound it for my new hallways and brought it out to me for no additional charge. The team is courteous and thoughtful, and I never had to wait for more than a couple of hours for someone to call me back. I will use them again... and again... and again!!

Very disappointed in the service I received from Carpet Fair. The men that worked on my room were nice and pleasant, but when they were done, the first thing I noticed was that the nose of the top of the stairs was not secured and the ends of the carpet were hanging. The nose had maybe about 3 staples, but that was it.I was then able to pull up almost every corner and edge of the carpet and pull it off very easily. In my closet, they laid down 2 loose pieces of carpet without securing any of the ends. I was able to pick up the carpet as if it was a place mat on a table. Under my radiator, they did not measure and cut the carpet underneath, so instead it was too long so it curved up against my wall. I regret not taking pictures to show proof of how incomplete this project was. I then found myself crawling around my room and hallway for 45 minutes with one of the guys with him stapling everywhere that was not secured. I was very nice about this, as was he, and when I asked “who did this part?” and “who did that part?”, the answer each time was that it was the other guy. I asked him if he wanted to get his buddy that was smoking cigarettes in the car to help him fix the work and he said no. So instead, I had to do it for him. Also, when I asked if they usually vacuum the straggler pieces, he responded by saying that he picked up most of the clumps but they don’t vacuum the small pieces, they only sweep it because it will clog their vacuum. Got it, so at this point I’ve already re-done half of the work with you and I’ll use my own vacuum to clean it up so you don’t have to bother. I was also in the middle of cooking dinner while all of this was happening, so I’m running up and down the stairs doing work I should not have even had to do. It should have been a finished product, which is usually what happens when people pay for a service.I called the next day to let the office know about my experience and the man that picked up (Mike) was incredibly nice and understanding. I should mention that EVERYONE I had spoken to in the entire process was extremely personable and friendly, and in the beginning I really looked forward to doing business with them.When the owner called me, his response to my complaint was that the guys that worked on my carpet have been with him for 32 years and have never received a complaint. Um... ok? Congratulations, they just received their first one. He also said they don’t staple the edges and corner, it lays on a tack strip. I get that, and I was under the impression of that as well, until I pulled up the carpet and the guy said “oh I’ll have to staple that.” Also, the entire time we crawled around the room, he kept saying “I don’t know why he didn’t staple this...” as if it was normal protocol. The owner couldn’t explain, and barely acknowledged, the carpet curving up against my wall under the radiator, the closet with 2 loose pieces of carpet laying in it, the unsecured carpet under the nose at the top of the steps, my having to crawl around the room doing work that I am not hired by Carpet Fair to do, and also having to vacuum after the job was complete. He did make sure to remind me that I had canceled on those same guys a couple days prior and they missed out on work. Funny he says that, because when I canceled, the message did not get to the workers and they still showed up at my door. Guess what, they were totally different guys, which means that is a complete lie.I did not want to write a bad review about a local business. Like I said, I actually looked forward to working with them in the future as everyone was very pleasant to me. My reason for calling was to let them know about my experience in hopes to receive an explanation and apology. All the owner had to do was acknowledge my concerns and not be defensive. Instead, he chose to blame me for this bad experience. His decision to handle the situation that way resulted in me and my entire family never using their company again.

Carpetfair is a great mom and pop shop. Always fast and reliable. Ron P is a complete idiot as a repeat customer I was curious what had happened and it turns out Ron P had bought this floor 13 years ago his chairs had damaged the 16x16 tiles. Carpetfair was kind enough to have an installation crew take a look at the damaged floor and see what could be done to resolve his issue. Ron P had some leftover tiles from 13 years ago but not enough to replace all damaged tiles. the tiles he had bought turns out were discontinued but carpetfair was able to find him a ctn online which took some time to research and ship directly to the customer. As far as I can see Carpetfair did this customer a favor in more ways than one. Be grateful for the service and help finding your floor. Not angry due to the time it took for the tile to get to your home from a 3rd party. You should leave them a bad review.

Went to Carpetfair after leaving Homedepot. Was in Depot for 45 mins without being help. Walked in Carpetfair and my needs were met. a) They had material in stock b) They were affordable and helpful.

I picked out the carpet i wanted for my soon to be movie theater in my basement the older man there kept saying this carpet is custom and this is for the big dogs so I smirked and said I want this sir he then sent a young man to do the measurements the young man said his boss would call me with a quote but 2 days went by so my lady called and the actual young man that did the measurements answers saying he was just about to call us he said he did the numbers and it would be $4,600 but he initiated he was going to ask if he could lower the price not me!! but now a week has gone by and no phone call or nothing..... I truly feel like they treated me like Julia Roberts on Pretty Woman not thinking I can afford the carpet....now I must admit $4600 for a small basement like my basement is DEFINITELY EXTREME but again thats what I wanted ...my ?s are 1 why sell carpet that u think people cant afford and 2nd why is it in Springfield and Drexel Hill companies are reluctant to make money just because of their judgment on a person... I live Like Julia Roberts said in pretty woman I have money!!!!!!! SMH
