What an interesting place! The atmosphere was really cool and I loved how they have an island set up in the middle. They do sell alcohol but I would love if they had a full bar set up. Just dreams I guess!

I was here for about 2 hours. Atmosphere was great! The 2 guys that worked there was sweet. Hookah was affordable at $15 with a variety of flavors to choose from. Place could do with some updating but everything was great!! I will be going back again

I came in from out of town, needing hookah supplies. The owner had everything I needed. He was very personable and great to talk to. He definitely has a passion for fine tobaccos. Smoking lounge was not open yet, but Im looking forward to stopping in to check it out next time Im in town.

Im mainly a pipe smoker so I dont know much about the Hookah part of the store. The Albatross is my main source for pipes and tobacco. The lounge area is nice and the staff is always helpful and polite no matter how many questions I have for them. The pipe tobacco selection is probably the best in the area.

Great hospitality and has a very relaxed hipster air to the lounge. The shop has good variety but is a little pricey.

Avid cigar fan, out downtown and decided to stop in and check this place out. We were greeted at the door that you have to be let in with what do you want I informed the person working that we were there to check them out and see what all cigars they have. We were let in with being told we have 10min to look around and then we will have to leave because he has a group in the lounge. The lounge had 3 people in the lounge... As I was looking at some tobacco I was told I had 1min. Absolutely mind blowing experience and I will never recommend this establishment nor be back to purchase anything. I will keep buying my cigars at the Vineyard in Ozark.

The Albatross has been my favorite hookah lounge for many, many years. Every time I go I end up having a great conversation with someone, either another guest or the staff. The atmosphere is fun and lively. The hookah quality is top-notch. The staff is always amazing. Not to mention the owner and manager are both incredible guys to spend time around. Anytime I am in town, the Albatross is high up on my list of places to visit

Decent selection on cigars and accessories and it seems to focus on the hookah lounge aspect for its primary business. A highly unacceptable amount of people with no social distancing or masks centered in sharing hoses in the front entrance. Seems very dangerous and non compliant with all cdc guidelines

The atmosphere there is pretty great too The low light Edison bulbs and hazy aura give the whole place a cozy feel and makes you feel relaxed. I try to come here every time I visit Springfield

Really nice vibe. The staff were friendly and the price was quite reasonable. Really appreciated the periodic new coals as opposed to some places where you get one set when you start and then the hookah gets sad. Decent selection of flavors as well. Hookahs were clean and no odd aftertaste. I will definitely visit again when Im in town.

Very helpful staff and great place to go if you are unsure about using a hookah. They have many pipes, Cigars, tobacco, and shisha. They also sell hookahs and hookah accessories/equipment. If you like the hookah a lot and smoke with friends I would recommend getting a hookah for yourself. For 3 people you can get a basic bowl for $20. If you plan on doing that often then I would recommend purchasing one rather than continuously going back to the hookah lounge.

I love the people who work here, and the atmosphere.

Its a fantastic place to hang out and chat with your friends while smoking some hookah. They have a huge flavor menu and are frequently adding specials. They can mix any flavors you like, as well. The building is connected to their smoke shop, which I have not ventured into much.

Mediocre. For $20 I got a lovely hookah but the service wasn’t great. All the workers sit to the right corner of the place which cheapens the atmosphere. If assistance is needed, one of them will get up and come assist then proceed to go sit back down. For water, they point to a water jug instead of assisting customers. Noticed heated discussions between workers and customers twice. Music was on, then off, then on again. This place could be so much more. Felt like they didn’t want customers.

Relaxing place to hang out with friends. It can be cheaper than going out because you can bring your own food and beverages. Theres always a lot of smoke in the air so you have to be prepared for that. Not the best place to hang out if you are trying to preserve your vocal folds. Tjey have really cool Decor that fits the hookah theme.

Great staff super knowledgeable and helpful. The absolute best selection of just about all tobacco products. Absolutely love it! JUST DO NOT FORGET YOUR ID NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOUVE BEEN! Their just protecting their lively hood yall.

Great place to relax and order special tobacco you cant find anywhere near smaller towns. They have an awesome humidor with tons of cigars that are all different in there, and they have many flavors of shisha for the hookah and you can even buy some! The selection of hookahs and all of the accessories, and pipes they have are very nice!

Great selection of flavors, but seating is very uncomfortable, which makes it hard to enjoy your hookah session. Drink prices and hookah costs are about average from my experience. Its worth going, but they need to create more comfortable seating arrangements then I would give it 4 or 5 stars. The staff is friendly and helpful as well and theyll answer your questions politely.

I come here from a bit of a drive, and Ive gotta say, their staff are impeccable. The service and knowledge of these people who dedicate their time to this business is unmatched. Friendly, and very helpful. If youre thinking of stopping in for any of your tobacco needs, they have any tobacco to satisfy any different type of smoker. I only buy my tobacco products from here. And every time I go, Its like showing up at a friends house to hang out and chat for a bit, or I can grab and go. But I have a lot of questions. Theyre always down to help me through them all. 10 out of 10, my all time favorite small business. My one complaint is we need more places like this. The staff is SUPER nice and welcoming. Prices are pretty good honestly. Me and a few friends came here for a friends 18th birthday and we spent under 20$ for all three of us, and spent about a hour and a half chilling with the staff and having a great time.

Ive been here before and my first experience was good. If I could give zero stars I would. I went back today and I was turned away just because my license is expired couple weeks ago. Im more then of age to go in. Ive never had this happen before let alone that right after I left he let in 3 kids that look like they barely started high school. I dont understand how that works. I know Im not the only person that this has happened to here! Look below at the other comments.

I was a fairly regular customer at the Albatross until lately. Twice I have been there and left feeling either taken advantage of or played for a fool. The first time, one of the employees must have felt that my friends and I werent smoking quick enough. He started smoking from our tobacco, claiming it tasted harsh and he only wanted to ensure the quality of our product. I would have gone with it if it hadnt been that he didnt actually DO anything but huff from it and shake the water jar. The second bad experience I had was last Friday night. We arrived early enough to either secure a seat or get on the waiting list. An employee posted on the door gave us the quickest brush off, telling us that there was not going to be room for a party of 6 for an hour and a half (we told him we didnt mind sitting at different tables and he found another excuse); we asked to be put on the call list, he brushed this off by telling us they dont do that because its first come first serve. I told him that wed been put on the call list before, and then he said it was a brand new rule, just started that night. Real convenient. Honestly, I could have taken it with a grain of salt if it wasnt for the curt, brush off he was giving us. It was clear they didnt want our business. I really liked the Albatross--the atmosphere is great, it is wonderful to smoke in doors with friends, and the employees use to be chill; however, I will never go back and neither will any of my friends. Ive bought my own Hookah online and will just invite everyone to my house. Its sad--I like supporting local business

My friends and I go to The Albatross almost every night and are regulars here. The new location is amazing! The atmosphere and the people make this place worth coming to all the time. This is my favorite spot in town! All of the employees are incredibly friendly, funny, and Im glad Ive gotten to know or hang out there with everyone of them!

The Albatross is staffed with friendly and helpful employees who are knowledgeable about the types of tobacco that they carry. They have a smoking lounge attached to the store where you can sometimes sample different kinds, and socialize with other tobacco enthusiasts. Very highly recommended.

It was good five dollar coverage to get in and they give you A water. I think its like five bucks to get a hooka so all and all pretty good pricing. I like the new place its bigger and more classy.

This place is one of my favorite hangouts. The workers are super cool and easy to talk to. They have a wide variety of flavors and hookahs, including a shop next door full of tobacco, shisha, hookahs, wood tobacco pipes, and more. Theres a wide variety of seating, ambient lighting, and a nice clean bathroom.

I am a disabled man that walks with a limb and recently had knee surgery.I asked a female employee to help me plug in my laptop to the plug underneath and behind furniture and was asked to leave. The manager said that the request to the female employee made her feel uncomfortable. I told the manager that it may seem weird a young man like myself asking for help. I asked the manager if it would have made a difference if I had asked one of the male employees, he said yes, they are men so that are used to that kind of treatment. So much for equal treatment of sexes. Employees should be held to the same responsibilities and expectations regardless to their sex. You wont not have an employee take out the trash just because she is afraid that it might break a nail or not have another employee clean the bathrooms because he is a man and only women clean. I wont be returning and will be contacting the Missouri commission on human rights to file a complaint.

Horrible place. Servers want to make up there own laws and kick you out because they think you said your 16 even though you clearly double the age of 16. We showed them our ids and they still want to kick us out. Horrible place staff is very ignorant on laws in Missouri

Even though I didnt purchase my hookah from them. It was used. The owner helped prep it and repair it. He was very knowledgeable and extremely eager to help and teach. He told me my hand me down might not be the greatest and make break. But I promise from the treatment I received when Im ready to get fully evolved in the hobby I will be purchasing from them!

Terrible service. Came here for my first time, didnt really understand how it was gonna work. They said that they would let a server know so they could explain it to me and get me set up for the night. It was 23 minutes before a single employee even came by to see if I was ready to order. The staff only expressed a sincere interest in my experience when I got up to leave after having sat for close to half an hour.

This place used to be amazing. Use to be is the key phrase. Now a days the staff cant pack a good bowl, or at least dont care to try. The prices in the shop have also inflated. Overall, its just meh now.

This is a clean, safe environment that plays by the rules. Make sure you have your ID at the door. The staff is super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I have literally never had a bad experience at the Alby. The Bring Your Own Beer fee is super low and they allow card games. Tuesday nights are TV/Movie night and there is free WiFi avaliable. All in all, the Alby is the nicest smoke shop Ive ever been to. Chill environment with a super staff.
