Spent Over $800 To build super desktop and bought absolutely EVERYTHING they suggested (1080p monitor, gaming mouse and keyboard, 16 gigs of RAM, etc) most of it used. Moved to Arkansas a week later. When I finally fired it up the optical disc drive wouldnt open. Ended up having to use a straightened-out paperclip to open. When I called them they said to bring it in and they could fix for $20-$30. Like Im going to drive 150 miles to spend basically the same amount of money to fix that it would cost 5 miles away. No thank you. I had originally gone there to get a $1200 laptop fixed but they told me the motherboard was fried so I left it there for them to use for parts as I certainly wasnt going to need it any longer. I found the original invoice and apparently I has bought a year warranty including parts and labor. To be fair.... I DO have about 15 USB ports now.*Update* 5-25-17The more I thought about it the more I thought it increasingly strange that a brand-new computer with a brand-new optical drive simply wouldnt work. So.... after very careful consultation with YouTube I decided to open it up and see what was what and found that the optical drive WASNT EVEN PLUGGED-IN! Still cant decide if Im more pissed or relieved. It works now but Im just waiting for the next shoe to drop. They were going to have me drive 150 miles AND charge me $30 to ultimately plug in a drive.*Update* 11-14-18Desktop I had built here still chugging away without a single issue for over 2 years now. No issues. No bugs. No nothing. I still use it for hours a day and am SO very very very glad they talked me into purchasing the Razer lit-up gaming mouse (though I do no gaming) as well as the Emarth lit-up keyboard they suggested I get in the deal. What more can I say? What more could I have asked for? I might note that the original problem I had with the optical drive being unplugged MIGHT have been nothing more than a 150 mile drive home on bumpy roads that worked the tightly-bound bundle of wires loose than it having not been plugged-in in the first place.
My PC died so I took it here and they fixed me up with a new motherboard! Im very happy with this company. I got my PC back and it runs fine.
I have purchased a couple of laptops from these guys over the last few years and have had no problems. If I have a question or an issue with a computer they have been very helpful after the sale. Location is close to us, but easy access for anyone in Springfield.
I came in today because I was on a budget and needed a computer that wasnt gonna junk out on me, I never felt so comfortable buying a computer! The salesman were very knowledgeable and offered me a 90 day warranty! I Had a lot of questions and they never made me feel like I was a bother...thats HUGE for me. oh yeah...and they had the best prices on top of that and I tried out 4 different shops! CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!
Had my laptop screen replaced. Very reasonable on price, gave an accurate price quote over the phone before coming in. Service was fast. No complaints.
I bought a used Mac from them a few weeks ago and it works great! The same night I took it home something messed up and it was telling me I needed a password even though I didn’t set one, I called apple tech support and after an hour of being on the phone they couldn’t help me, so I took it back to the store and they fixed it in less than 24 hours with no charge!
Bought a laptop for nearly $300 from this place. They failed to tell me during the transaction that they didnt allow refunds. The staff is nice enough. We had to take the laptop back because the battery lasted less than an hour and the computer itself was sluggish. They made it a bit faster and didnt even fix the battery. We took it back again, and they just completely replaced the laptop with a whole new one. This one was a bit faster but the battery still lasted maybe 90 minutes. Took it back again and they ordered a new battery which ended up lasting only about an hour. So in the end they just tried to convince us that an hour is average for a laptop battery life. I dont recommend this place, because they dont allow refunds even if they sell you faulty equipment, and will try to bull-crap their way out of it with the assumption that their customers dont know what theyre doing and will believe whatever the employees tell them. Good luck buying something halfway decent here.
These guys are really good. They got me a new laptop at a very reasonable price and always provide great service. I send all of my friends here now.
They are knowledgeable and fair priced. In and out in less than 10 minutes. I am very satisfied.
Well, not sure what to say, they broke our original computer tower. Now, after paying for a new operating system we doubt this computer is even the one we originally brought in. It barely works and the software they sold us isnt even loaded onto the computer. Its not complicated. But they seem to make it that way.
Back in April i went to Springfield Laptops to have a cracked screen replaced, was quoted about half the price of quotes from several computer stores in the Springfield area. Was told if they had one in stock that it would be finished the next day. Steven the repair tech called me the next day around noon and told me I could pick it cause it was finished. Totally was without any drama and as good a new. I since have purchased 2 refurbished laptops from them for your cleaning crews and have no problems with them. Overall a A+
Took my laptop here for a simple screen repair which cost me $300. First of all it took about a month for them to actually fix the laptop, I didnt have a computer for two weeks. Then I get it back after a MONTH of waiting, and the touchscreen doesnt work.... Now that Ive got the computer back it keeps on shutting down randomly since they messed with it. Never did that before. Save your money, time, and patience. Do not go here!Update: I used to be able to run photoshop and illustrator on my computer at the same time. Now Im lucky to get photoshop open. After inspecting it closely I spotted a virus that on my laptop that I do not believe was there before. Dont know what kind of business these guys are running, but they made my computer worse.
Really good prices on high quality laptops and desk tops, the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful as well. If your looking for a new computer or need repairs check them out.
Great place to shop for your next computer. I had some issues with my old computer, they were able to fix it for a great price and then I ended up buying another desktop as well!
Excellent, and fast service. The prices are very fair. The guys that work in there are so polite.
They dont screw you over like other places.
Steve and ryan were awesome!!! great customer service and were able to fix my problem in just minutes without any charges! Great business, would recommend them to anyone!
My experience with Springfield Laptops and Computers, while there were a few hiccups, was overall a positive one! I took in a laptop that I thought had a software issue, but was told actually needed a hinge repair. The hinges had been loosened and warned down, and opening/closing the laptop was damaging it to the point that it could snap at any time! Unfortunately, there was a hiccup. The epoxy used to repair the device had ran after it was applied and sealed the computers power button, rendering the laptop inoperable. However, the guys at Springfield Laptops replaced the laptop -- a high-powered computer used for gaming and heavy image-editing programs -- with one of the laptops they had on hand that had similar specifications. They also transferred my files for free and had the new laptop ready within a day or so!There was one more hiccup. The laptop I had selected to replace the original device had a few issues running Windows 10, but when reset to Windows 7 it had a few issues running the programs I use for my major of study. I brought the laptop back to Ryan, which he examined for free, discovered there were some other issues with the device that required some extensive tinkering, and instead transferred my files over (again, for free!) to a different laptop that met the specs of my original.Ive had the laptop for about half a week now and have had zero problems with it! It runs perfectly -- maybe even a little faster than the original one I had!The process took about two weeks, and while I wish it had been a little faster so I could continue my work, I do think they did the jobs fast as possible. And, their customer service is wonderful. I would call to pester them with questions but each time they answered patiently and cheerfully. I was really impressed with the care they seem to have for each job they take on. The people at Springfield Laptops and Computers realize that most of, if not all, of your important information and work is stored on your computer and they want you to have a functional computer as fast as they can get it to you. If I have computer trouble again, these guys are the first ones Im going to call!
The guys at Springfield Laptop are quite exceptional, and I usually employ praise lightly in any respect. I work in Landscape CAD design...my laptops are put through hell at times due to the software I must employ - if you know CAD of any kind - specifically 3d renders and mesh models - then you know what I mean. When my present laptop began to lag horribly - which that is non condusive in my line of work - the guys at springfield laptop went above and beyond in getting me back up and going in a mere 24hrs!Dedicated, honest, refusing to give up and do what they had to do, I was more than impressed with their service and work!I would recommend them to anyone over some major chain store or even the manufacturer and I will definitely employ their services for my pc needs from here on out.
Excellent store! Great prices.
Great people and very knowledgable.
They were quick and helpful!!!!!!!!!
