This place is a hidden gem. You NEED to try the dried beef that they sell here. It isnt really advertised so you might need to ask for it over the counter. Heads up: It is tough to chew, but because there is so much flavor, you can sinply let it slowly melt away in your mouth.

Very very small portions and zero meat on the chicken meals. I ordered the Chicken Doro Wot and the Chicken Doro Alicha meals. What I received was greasy sauce and an egg for one dish and greasy sauce, a chicken bone, and an egg in the other dish. When I called to complain there was no meat in either dish the lady on the phone kept arguing with me that she prepared the sauce and bone herself and did not comprehend the fact you cannot advertise a meal as having chicken if it is just sauce and a bone. She also hung up on me! How cheap can you get? I try to support local businesses but their cheapness and stinginess compelled me to write this review warning others of their shady business practices. I have attached a photo of what I received versus a photo of how they advertise the dish on their menu. I got burned. For decent Ethiopian food I guess I will have to make the drive to Alexandria next time because this place is triflin and shady!

I had no idea this pickery was here. What are the first time the other day after living in the area for over 10 years. The bakery is very clean hand the owner is extremely nice. You can tell that they really want you to be happy with the service product. I really enjoyed it and will absolutely be back!

Wonderful local Habesha eats and Supplies

Injera is fresh and delicious so I decided to order carry out. I ordered beef tibs and the lady said it would be ready 25 mins. When my husband arrived to pick up she told him they didn’t have any beef tibbs. Wow. I will continue to shop here for injera only and i will buy good authentic ethio/eri food from Merkato instead.
