Good place

I just drove 35 miles one way to go to this lumber yard after calling and asking specifically if they had 1x4 cedar pickets that were 3/4” thick. After spending $20 in gasoline and $10 in tolls round trip I was told they did not have any! All the guy I talked to said “oh, that’s my fault”. No I’m sorry, we will give you a discount on something else, or anything. I do not recommend this store!

Very helpful place. If you need door or window casing or baseboards that are nicer than the big box stores then this is the place to go. They are experts at loading too.

Great service all around, in and out extremely quickly. They had my hard to find trim in stock.

A little on the expensive side - better prices at HD ... BUT the quality of wood seemed better and being able to drive my truck up and load instead of pushing bits of it through the store multiple times is really helpful.Employees in the yard were very nice and easy to work with (no complaint about staff inside - just didnt interact with them much).Its a bit odd that the front office employees work on commission.

Always buy from here at least once or twice a week. Very disappointed in today’s purchase the material was not complete. I called to notify that I was missing one post and they tried to say just bc the manager counted it that it was done and all delivered. (Spoke to manager Rudy or Trey) I simply asked nicely what could be done and he went on about how he gets higher paying customers which was very very rude! If you work in customer service or a manager this is things you don’t say to buyers specially if they are a returning customer weekly! I will be taking my business else where.

Well it started off by me going online to look up their phone number. of course I picked the nearest area towards me which is the Greenbrier location.Upon calling The Greenbrier phone numberthey said they had what I needed for me to come on down. So I drove all the way down to the Greenbrier location and guess what theyre closed!So now I drive all the way to the Stafford locationtry to explain to them that hey you got to let people know that youre Greenbrier phone number is no longer in that location. The lady at the counter nonchalantly says oh that numbers for to here.I said then why dont you take down your website ad that says your Greenbrier location is there or advise people when they call you that this number is the Stafford Texas location number now?Everyone behind the counter looked at me stupefied.It is what it is par for the course.better communication on their part would be better understanding on the consumers part.......... just saying.Oh, I paid almost twice as much for the material as well.

They gave out free wood for people in need during the winter storms ! Thank you!

Helpful and Fast Service. The guys in the back were friendly and helpful in my selection of plywood sheeting, and cut the sheet carefully to the dimensions I requested. I will be for more wood when the need arises.

A+. Period. Even if BMC or Home Depot is cheaper, which it absolutely rarely is, I go out of my way to go here. The sales staff, management, yard staff and delivery staff are incredible.

Never buy and have your material dropped off. They come dump and leave. They dont care if the material is damaged. They dont care if the client is unhappy they dont care how much the material cost. If you call the manager he will cuss you out and tell you not to shop there.

Stahlmans has a wide variety of wood for all kinds of projects. When I asked about 3/4 plywood for building a small table, they showed me the different grades of plywood and types (oak, birch, etc) they had available. There was even a small area for hardware and tools to purchase. When I finished selecting the plywood, the guys there did two cuts for a reasonable price to get it into the car, even asking me if the ~1/8 margin of error was okay before cutting. Shoot, you even get to drive your truck through the warehouse to load it up!

The guy behind the count is rude to the customer. The manager encourages him act that way. I watched them belittle a customer with No apology. Owner may what to rethink who is representing his company. Appealing!!!!!!. I would never recommend them to anyone.

I called to find out if they have a specific product I needed before I made the trip and they put me on hold forever. I finally called back and she said there were only 2 people at the counter and didnt have time to run back to see if they had the product. I asked if they could page someone that would know this information and she said she didnt have time to get someone. I asked if they had a paging system like most up-to-date like most stores. She said yes but it wasnt for that. I wont be going there anymore - their customer service is terrible!

They have a great variety of materials and woods ... but it is somewhat expensive to buy there ... I wish there were discounts on some merchandise
