I love Bed Bath and Beyond but had a terrible experience returning an item at this store, which was purchased online, but arrived broken. The manager wasnt super friendly nor helpful and instead had me call the 1800 customer service number. I ultimately was able to get a refund processed with a prepaid shipping label sent by that customer service agent. But it was a shame that the store wouldnt accept the return. There were a couple opportunities to make a service recovery here, but I guess customer service wasnt a priority in my case.

The State College,PA is absolutely horrible. The manager doesnt have a clue about customer interaction at all. Worst experience Ive ever had. Would rate a lot lower if I could. Altoona,PA store is much, much better.

Almost empty and closing for good

Routine items here tend to be a little pricey for my taste, but they do have a huge variety if youre looking for a particular item. I get coupons from time to time and generally pick out a Yankee Candle to give as a gift. They have a huge selection of scents, even just in the sale choices.Also, theyll sometimes have clearance items as much as 75-90% off, and Ive found some great little treasures searching that selection.

The manager was very patient in explaining things and the workers were all very nice. They went out of their way to help me find something and when the store didnt have the item they looked online for me. Great place to shop. I will return.

We went in to register for a wedding and the gal set us up, etc. When we went to go around the store, she wouldn’t let us walk around on our own. She kept pestering us to make sure we looked at specific items, etc. We explained we knew what we were doing and she finally left us be, but then as soon as we had a question she kept hanging around. She was very pushy and insistent which was extremely irritating. The store itself was kept up and nice, but definitely a bad employee experience.

They have some really great customer service in the Bed, Bath & Beyond store in State College. There was a set of bowls in the store that I wanted to buy because they were on special, and theyd run out of stock. Rather than force me to make a second trip once theyd gotten more inventory, they let me order the bowls online at the store and they waived the shipping charge. So I was able to have the bowls shipped directly to my house for free. I was totally impressed at how the people there went above and beyond to help me get the item I wanted. :-)

Did not buy anything. The item did not have the price on tag just a barcode. Where it was hanging it said price was 8.99 the register rang up 16.99 so I did not buy the item.

I was looking for a particular item which they didnt have but a very helpful clerk found the item in another store and it is being mailed to me.

A little pricey but great selection and friendly helpful staff

They were wonderful. The manager and clerks helped us find exactly what we wanted and gave us the discount even though we wouldnt get it to our in box in 24 hours. They had unlikely Penn State items that we would have paid more for downtown State College.

Feels incredibly cluttered inside. Everything goes up far too high. Over priced.

Selection and prices are great. Good to have such mortar and brick srore. Just to shop around. Unfortunately, less and less of tradional stores around, hope this one sticks around.

Good variety of products and often more choices than most stores. A coupon is a must!

So lets think about this, I stopped into the store to buy 1 single item. I know PSU students are moving back and thats great but by no means am I going to stand in a mile long line for 1 item that I can have delivered from Amazon next day for less. At least they could do is have a Express line! Poor management!

State College store always has a great find and usually on sale too. Found some great sheets on sale...

Let me just say this store is flat out racist.My friend and I entered the store just to look around to see if we found anything for our new apartment. We entered the store and we were the only people of color in there. The manager proceeded to follow us around the store. First he asked us if we needed any thing three times we told him no, then he sent another employee to ask us the same thing.All eyes were on us the entire time, acting like we were criminals he even followed us outside when we left the store. That was the most disgusting experience I have ever had and I will never return to this store with its racist employees.

I had a bad experience, because an older white male staff was following me around and confronted him. He thought that since Im black male I was up to something; shoplifting. I dont advise any black person to shop there, THEY will harass you.
