“What an entrance!” This Home Depot has quite the nice front entrance and façade, better than any other Home Depot I’ve been to. The inside of the store was set up like all the others, with me requiring potting soil and pots, so I took a quick left and went into the greenhouse and I was there, simple enough. The self-checkout stands were closed when I visited, but they had plexiglass covering them so they shielded you from others with concern of the virus. The Christmas things were out already, with the animatronic Father Christmas standing tall next to the trees. They served my needs well, and even had the cheap rubbish pots I was hoping for, so that was perfect. They earned the five stars, cheers.
Good selection and stock even in these wild times. Tina and Ken at the pro services desk are excellent and helpful. I had some problems with sanding my hardwood floors and they got it sorted! Kudos.
The store was stocked, and clean. I was quite shocked at how much lumber prices have elevated in the past 6 months. They did have everything we went in to purchase. The store wasnt very busy which made for a quick check out. Employees were nice.
We only deal with this location. We have remodeled our entire house and all the staff has been excellent. Joe in windows and doors needs a special Kudos! Thank you all for being my go to and one and only stop!
We have other home improvement stores closer to home, but prefer to drive to Home Depot for our needs. The prices are better and the staff is very knowledgeable when we need assistance!!
Bill, the manager, did everything he could to correct a flooring order that went wrong. He was professional, accommodating and sincerely wanted us to be happy with the changes we had to make. Renovations arent easy and things rarely go right. Somehow our order got delayed an entire week and it messed up our contractors schedule. Bill price matched the new floors we had to pick out and made sure we had as much as we needed and when we needed it. Mix ups happen all time, but how management deals with it makes all the difference. I will continue to shop at Home Depot over any other home improvement store because of the treatment we received today. Thanks Bill!
Best experience ever! I left Lowe’s due to no one willing to help me. Laure and mike were so helpful and even loaded my car for me. Thanks everyone!!
Great place to go for all household needs. The house brand, Ridgid, is phenomenal and comes with a leading class lifetime warranty. Really great build quality on that stuff.
I always love Ryobi Days at the Home Depot. I got the 1/2 heavy duty cordless impact wrench for removing my mower blades. No more busted knuckles. Yeah.
I bought a Rubbermaid shelf three days ago. Returned it today. The computer would not read the bar code so three employees (including the manager) shrugged their shoulders and said nothing they could do. I went and got another off the shelf and that code worked. Thank God for Jerry at the returns desk. We got our $7 back. The manager actually came over to measure and inspect the shelf we returned to ensure it was exactly the same (of course it was). Lowe’s has earned my business because of Home Depot’s crummy customer service.
Needed edging for mulch they had 3 or 4 different kinds got what I liked no problems.
Excellent service. Helpful service people and very polite.
The assistant manager yelled at me for eating lawn fertilizer out of the bag. Like I wasnt gonna pay for it. That roast beef smelling B-word denied me a delicious meal. Then she kicked me out for drinking paint thinner. I do not recommend this restaurant.
Plenty of staff on hand to help. Friendly people and have all the home repair stuff you need.
Great staff, this nice older gentleman help us out wonderfully. Even research our problem for us on line. Felt like someone really cared about our issues! Thanks Home Depot
Had what I needed. Think the checkout process could improve. Had to got to cashier to check out unable to self check out.. Along with 5 others who couldnt self checkout. And 1 register open for all of us to crowd isle while we wait.
They are doing an excellent job of making me not ever wanting to go there again. Abysmal customer service.
Always helpful staff, would go there any day over Lowes.
Very happy, friendly and helpful associates. They deserve the best you can do for them!!
Good selection building supplies but like all over the price of lumber is crazy high.
This is easily the most attractive Home Depot in Central Pennsylvania, for what thats worth. But it also has a better than average selection & very helpful staff. Completely accessible with remote doors.
Bought vinyl laminate floor. Had it layed by a professional. He had trouble laying it. It wasnt going together right. He finally got it done. 2 months later.it all started coming apart. I called the store. Got put off 3 or 4 times. They gave me the number for the factory that manufactured it. They didnt give me the right number. I looked it up myself. Well, didnt get an answer there, left a message. Well, needless to say they never got back to me. I called home Depot again. Of course, they told me it was the installer. If I wanted I could pay $300 for someone to come check it and see if the installer was at fault. It wasnt. Where it came mostly apart was where I had a desk chair. Needless to say, they wouldnt do anything about itIt is total junk!!!! I wont buy anything from them again
Very helpful staff, good selection, had just what I needed.
Usually always have what you need.
Was looking for a wooden screen door and they had exactly what we needed. The gentleman in that department was very helpful. Both aforementioned items were sorely lacking in a big box competitor.
I work here but honestly think its a great place which actually might say a lot
Hey Home Depot, do something better with your military discount!!! I like this store over the blue brand but at least they do good with the discount. That is the only reason I dont really go there except for my Ryobi tools and replacements.
Better than lowes
Helpful staff, good selection. Nothing special just a Home Depot. There was a guy running through the store but he was doing good pace, about 7:23/mile to be exact. I won’t stop someone from getting their exercise tho.
Better than Lowes, but still a mess.
Nice selection of everything for dyi and appliances too. Friendly staff great prices.
One middle aged man who was masked but with his nose exposed. I arrived for pickup but the bell didnt ring to alert staff that I was waiting so I had to go inside, which defeated the purpose of curbside pickup. FYI: they have horrendous workmanship on kitchen/door installations. Im still trying to correct serious issues.
Not bad will most likely get lost looking for what you need.
Home Depot in my opinion is lit. Number 1 and most importantly they sell Milwaukee tools. But as far as Lowes vs Home Depot, I definitely prefer HD. It seems to be more aimed at the consumer DIYer. Where Lowes is a more professional contractor setting. HD is much cleaner and brighter which is always nice and the staff is usually pretty knowledgeable. Home Depot is the clear winner in my book.
Not happy with state college home depot service any anymore. After spending approximately 30-35 grand in this store this year as a small contractor I was told they didnt want to run materials through pro desk today. Tina was to busy. Across the street I get 5% discount every day and Im happy I went there today to put in a turnover order for 30grand and got a better deal then I ever got at home depot will not be doing much business with them anymore. Bill john and kenton are all great at the home depot and unfortunately were not there today to resolve my issue.
Found what I couldnt find at Lowes
Tried finding someone to help cut wood for about 30 minutes, had 2 employees walk away outside in the yard, another tried to find the people who were supposed to help...yet getting a sheet of plywood took about an hour and fifteen minutes.Ridiculous!!!!!
Every mans favorite place to visit just wish wood prices would come down seeing the mill has dropped its price 10days in a row
Home depot great store unless you have them install or deliver something for you. I had carpet installed from there and the installers broke into my safe and stole everything and noone could prove it. Then had appliances delivered and the company they used is horrible. They need to get real companies to deliver and or install. I would pay money to have a decent person come to my house. The company they have are intercity people who swear infront of your family and Im telling you that you wouldnt want these people in your house. I carried my gun the whole time they were there. Home depot lost are families business because of this.
Expensive selection of anything I could use for gym walls. Clean store.
Hard to find help but employees are very pleasant. I shop home depot before any where else.
Another box store with way overpriced lumber as is the case with all of them.
Wish there was one closer to Lock Haven Id much rather go here than shop at Lowes 👎
My #1 hardware store 🤟😎
The two gentlemen that brought our upright freezer today were very nice and quiet and was very careful with our appliance..couldnt have asked for better service..
Well stocked, standard Home Depot.Odd atmosphere/employee attitudes. My suggestion is that if you dont like this store, try the Lowes on the other side of Atherton st. - the atmosphere/attitude in that store is very different.
Great place to get your home improvements just like Lowes i shop both places each store has there own niche in the business
We have a associate help us with some questions.. and he was very helpful.
Neatly stocked, inventory full, plumbing parts well organized, checkout staff very efficient
Great prices and had everything that we would want for the most part
The store is very organized with everything easy to find. The gentleman at the paint section was very helpful and friendly, and the paint match service is so convenient! Also other staff at the store have been pleasant and friendly to work with as well!
SOME of the staff was very helpful and polite to me. Yes, Im a female I expect to be treated as an equal. And not talked to like I cant do anything!!The cashier was rude to me!
Could b more employees help with questions and such
Stopped there today employees very helpful in finding the things I needed
Friendly people very helpful very clean place
Very helpful with everything
It was ok....just not use to it going in there.....it take a little time looking for
Friendly personnel and easy shopping.
Id rather drive 20 miles out the way to this home depot very decent people always willing to help you great people...
Typical Home Depot. We were cabinet hunting. The woman working the cabinet area was extremely helpful and friendly.
The parking lot is a little goofy, and its a bit of a pain to navigate the store b/c Im used to visiting Lowes, though Home Depot staff seem to be a little more ready to answer questions than Lowes employees. Overall, a good store with decent prices.
Its a great place to look around and take your dog and family meanings
Theres definitely not enough people working/ being attentive to customers. We needed chain cut, it took 5 or so minutes for the person who handles cutting chain to show up, and after they didnt stick around long enough for us to ask questions. It was difficult to find folks who had a moment to direct us where to go or to answer other questions we had.
I would rate this one more star higher because they have fair prices;however, way too many people walking around without masks and with cases going up in Centre County, that is very problematic.
Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable, starting from the man at the front door who offered me a motorized seat, to the nice man that put our new a/c on the cart and offered to load it. The cashier had a smile even through his mask. Thank you!
Everyone was more than helpful this is why I always go there.
Way better than lower for finding what ya need
Ive been a lifelong customer and fan of Home Depot, but boy did they let us down. Ordered a carpet install that was supposed to be installed on 6/5, then they lost the carpet?? Here we are over a month later, thought it was getting installed this week, and now they call and say its out of stock. Unbelievable. They dont even seem to care. Time to start shopping at @Lowes.
Just needed replacement motion sensor for floodlights. Had what I needed and grabbed another new flag pole for my new Old Glory from Gettysburg Flag Works.
Great selection!
More than accommodating with all aspects of home and remodeling needs. Great gardening section as well.
Customer service representative was very helpful with the paint we needed. The only thing there was a long wait. Only 2 people behind the counter.
Makes you feel like a Dad when you walk in and get what you need, and then come back 30 minutes later to pick up the thing you forgot the first time. I started saying pal and buddy unironically. My shorts are shrinking and my socks are turning white with a new balance logo starting to form. Im afraid this isnt reversible. I bought a power washer to clean the siding of the house to flex on the neighbors. Is this what being an adult is like?
Easy shopping. Went to get grilling accessories & shop vac filter. Staff was very helpful.
Great prices and friendly staff
Hardly see anyone, including the staff following COVID-19 protocols
Almost always have what I need!
I used the curbside pickup it was quick easy convenient and awesome
Tina, at the Pro Desk, was Amazingly helpful!!! Very knowledgeable, professional & personable!
Was highly disappointed with the selection of light fixtures, needed a small globe size for our Fourier, and they just did not have the right size or style that we needed or wanted.!!!
Can get what you need safely! Take care of their customers!!
They had everything I needed to start a full shower bathroom downstairs and they where veey helpful
Mostly good experience with the merchandise and employees. However, I visited the handicap accessible bathroom at the front of the store. The entrance was narrowed with boxes of merchandise. I couldnt get my riding cart up to the door. Inside was filthy with toilet paper and paper towels on the floor. There was no soap in the dispenser. The hand dryer was broken.
I recently purchased an appliance through Home Depot that happened to be under $400. The appliance that was a model in the store was not in stock. Their company policy charges the customer $59 to have the appliance shipped to the store for pick up. Not delivered to your house, shipped to their store. Yes thats correct they charge their customers to stock their own supplies. Save yourself the hassle go to Lowes they have free HOME delivery on all appliances.
Customer service has far exceeded Lowes.
D.C.S General Contractors- Foreman Tom Lewis- Our team is here every day with no problems and excellent customer service. The variations of equipment and materials needed in this field of work requires an exceptional amount of knowledge to answer questions about materials and tools and so far we havent had any issues with the services at home depot. Great store.
Nice place. Clean. Clean restrooms. Hard to get employee help. The store is well stocked with about ever6
When you trust the workers at Home Depot to be able to reliably tell you if something as common as wood pellets in the winter is in stock. You get assured yes, we have wood pellets, how many do you want? You purchase them and go outside where the worker told you they are located and there is nothing. Thanks for wasting my time, I thought I could trust that Home Depot had wood pellets in stock when I asked and was actually at the store and was told there are pellets.
Good prices
Had exactly what we needed and the website was a great help in finding it. The workers were super nice as well and it was quick and easy trip
Had everything I need
Had what I needed in stock. Associate helped me with a specific item I was looking for and was very helpful & friendly
Very good.
Employees were very helpful.
Has everything I need and a knowledgeable sales staff.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Im not the type of person to typically leave bad reviews because I try to give the benefit of the doubt, but I feel others should be warned. We went to home Depot on 5/28 and ordered a fridge for delivery to the store. The gentleman said it would be there 6/6. Today on 6/6, home Depot called my husband to confirm the fridge was being delivered and to ask when he was picking it up. He said 3:30PM which they confirmed was good. He made the 45+ minute drive just for them to tell him that the fridge was not in. He got there later than he said he thought he would be yet no one bothered to call to let us know it wasnt there yet. The woman told him it would be in by 8 and they would call. It being about 4 at this point, my husband drove home. They called around 6:45 to let us know that it had been delivered. My husband gets to the store only to call and say, You wanted a black fridge right? Because the one here is white. I look at our receipt, which has the color listed NO WHERE. I searched the SKU number to find, despite confirming over THREE times we wanted black, a white one was ordered. My husband told them of this and asked what they could offer for our trouble. Extended warranty, gift card, etc.? They offered a $25 gift card which doesnt even cover the gas wasted. We got a refund and will do any future business with Lowes.
The people who worked here were very helpful, they had everything I needed to start my home projects.
In and out with what we needed.
