My favorite yarn shop! Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. I love all the samples they have displayed and where you can find the pattern. During the lockdown, Carly helped me pick six skeins of yarn for the Nightshift pattern by texting me pictures of different combinations. They go above and beyond.

This is a great store from any knitting enthusiast whether you are brand new or very experienced! Everyone there is very helpful and know exactly how to help if you get stuck with a project. They have an exceptional inventory of the most beautiful yarn and other knitting and crocheting essentials! Yesterday I found the perfect colors I was looking for! This is a great store with great people and I cant wait to return to pick out beautiful yarn for my next project!

They have a great selection of yarn and supplies, but their greatest asset is their staff. They are fun and welcoming and helpful. Before we had ever spent a dollar in the store, they spent an hour helping my daughter with her crocheting. I had been calling around looking for a class for her, without much luck. I called them and was told to just stop in. Next thing I know, I’m taking a knitting class, after being convinced I could never do it. They have many classes and are always available for help. It’s really a gift to the community.

Friendly and fun staff provide amazing service. Everyone there is so encouraging when I want to try new skills, helpful at fixing mistakes as well as showing me how to fix it myself when possible. The best atmosphere to take a class with realistic timelines for finishing the objects. Shop carries my favorite interchange needle set ChiaGoo. Good yarn selection. Lots of notions, bits, and bobs. Large parking lot right next to it; free in winter /paid in summer. Walking distance to fantastic local food and treats as well as the river. Comfy sitting area to knit. Store is full of windows and natural light. Overall my favorite shop because of the ladies who run it and work in it.

Hands down the best knitting shop in the East Metro. They have a wonderful selection of yarns and accessories. But the best part is the staff. They are always willing, able, and happy to help, either on the phone or in person. In particular, Amy and Sue helped me with a difficult project that I kept messing up. They were patient and pleasant even though I kept showing up for more help. There are yarn shops closer to my home, but I prefer to drive a little further to Darn Knit Anyway.

The staff here is amazing. They are always friendly and willing to help. They seem genuinely interested in what youre making and helping you find just the yarn for the project. They have a huge selection of yarns of all types. They also have lots of tools and accessories. The projects they have patterns for is always changing. So theres always something new that you can make. They always have classes and groups to join. I always go in for yarn for 1 project and leave with yarn for 4 projects! I would highly recommend this place for anyone from the novice to the expert.

There was a pricing issue (thatI was not even aware of) with an on-line order. I received a phone call from a very friendly employee explaining the issue and was given three options to resolve the issue. That option was not available in the size originally ordered, yet easily resolved with the offering of a different size...at the same price. Thank you so MUCH Darn Knit Anyway!!!!

My favorite LYS in the twin cities! Lots of indie dyers as well as good established yarn companies. They’re SUPER friendly without being hovery, and the seating area in the back is great for a hangout. Good classes, fun notions, and easy parking.

I stopped at a bad time as mid August was not the time to look for great DK weight yarn. There were not a lot of choices today. I stopped by as I was meeting friends for lunch and did manage to find something that I liked. Cute store, great staff!

There is nothing more wonderful than a local yarn shop. This shop is always one of my favorites. Perfect mix of small gift items and yarn. Everyone is always very helpful and answers questions. When out looking for yarn make sure to stop in Stillwater.

Took a knitting class over three weeks here. Carly was a great instructor, and she was so kind! I didnt feel pressured to buy all of my supplies from them, which was great since I live far away and wanted to buy in advance. The customer base is insanely loyal, and you can tell why!

Beautiful selection of yarn, hooks, needles, patterns and finished items. I have taken a class here that was very good. There is also a very nice area with comfy chairs to work on your projects. Huge lot with plenty of parking, great service and amazing selection.

Wonderful yarn shop in a scenic river town. They are the most friendly and helpful people I have ever met. They will bend over backwards to help you find just what you need. They have lots of store sample sweaters, cowls, hats, you name it all over the store with groups of little hang tags pinned to them so you can tear one off and instantly have the yarn info, pattern name and its availability on Ravelry, or if its free they can print one out for you. They have lots of needles and notions and eclectic buttons and shawl pins and handmade project bags (the list goes on and on). But best of all the people that work there love their job and love fiber arts and love to help others follow their passion. (And while they wind all your yarn you can hop next door for a coffee or snack) DONT PASS THIS SHOP BY WITHOUT CHECKING IT OUT!!!
