I purchased my Janome machine almost a year ago and have been delighted ever since . The machine was very intimidating to me at first but I followed up with the 3 free classes and have since taken an embroidery class, Block of the month class, sewing with curves and a free motion quilting class. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and my understanding of my machine and my sewing skills have greatly improved. I feel like I learn a little something new each time I visit the store and it’s always been helpful to me.Thank you all for the great service!

I have previously purchased a machine from Sew With Me, probably 5+ yrs ago, and was quite happy with their service and store, I was in last year, while I was here and also happy with then, great fabrics, etc. This year, I don’t know what happened. Most of the personnel are very nice, but there are 2, unfortunately I don’t know their names, that have a little room for improvement. I love the selection of fabrics very nice store. Tried to buy a machine, for my granddaughter, who had tested a few machines and got heart set on one, unfortunately, they were much higher priced then some other dealers in the area and they would not discount. I still love the store for fabrics, but will not try to buy another machine there.

Outstanding service. Very helpful workers. Really nice large store. For the size of store ithought there would more fabric for sale. Nice variety of fabric craft ideas in addition to quilting.

Visited on 8/13/21. Staff friendly enough, bit the cuts were light. Ordered 1/2 yd each of 4 fabrics. Two are 18.25 and two are 17.75. What am I supposed to do with those! I hope Ill have 18 after squaring up the other two. Ive never experienced a fabric shop (other than JoAnns) with such light cuts. Will try a different shop next time I visit MN.

Just found out that a quilt I was consulting on was quilted incorrectly at this shop. All of the decisions that had been made about design, thread color, and extra backing vs no extra backing were written down with the person who would be doing the quilting. The only direction she followed was the design that was chosen. When contacted about the error she has been nothing but rude and unapologetic to the person who sewed the quilt. As a matter of fact she has blamed the creator of the quilt! DO NOT USE THIS STORE FOR QUILTING!

I have taken probably a hundred quilts to J to quilt. I leave it up to her what to do and never disappointed. Quick turn around and good communication.

I paid way too much for a Janome Horizon 15000 that I purchased from the Woodbury store. It is a nice machine but I did not receive an Ipad, I received a Mac Book Air that the embroidery app doesnt work with. I never received any classes on the machine or on embroidery. The needle threader does not work again! While under warranty I had it fixed twice, but now I will just deal with no needle threader. I cannot recommend this shop. I wanted to wait till I was out of warranty before submitting a review.

Highly recommend Sew with Me for all of your machine and quilting needs. They Were very helpful in getting my handiquilter up and running. Even during this busy time of the year they helped with all my questions. Have not shopped their fabrics but looks like an amazing selection. Well worth the drive.

If you place an item with Clearance Items you should sell them at the posted Clearance price.I will do my business with someone else who honors the Clearance shelfs.I was told, Laura, that you would not accept a return due to covid.Yes you are correct about the green line. I would have asked the customer if it was me.... did you know the quilt kit is not part of the clearance items.... rather than just ring it up.I didnt have a choice when I was faced with no returns but we could give you 25% off.... so yes it was nice to get some discount but then again.I wouldnt group full priced items with the clearance items.Same point I made earlier.... the full priced quilt kit should not be place between bolts on Clearance.Please go take a picture and show me.My wife and I both looked the whole area over and felt it was a clearance item.Your planogram needs help.

A couple of the employees are quite kind and helpful!...But Laura is so rude and fake nice it is sickening. When I was perusing, a very elderly lady came in. (And I doubt she uses the internet to leave reviews, so I feel compelled to.) Her mask had slipped off her nose, and I watched as Laura approached and without any context, very aggressively pointed to the door and threatened If you cant wear that correctly you cannot come in here! The poor lady just seemed confused. More scolding and eventually she realized it was about her mask and was happy to pull it up. My goodness. There are at least ten kinder ways of asking her to adjust her mask if youre that concerned about it. After she left, Laura continued to complain to the other employees about this woman. It isnt surprising that she has a record of committing financial fraud against the elderly. She clearly does not respect them, which surprised me; I would think theyd be a significant customer base? If that had been my grandmother I would be livid! I will never return. Nothing she can sell that I cant get somewhere else, and nothing she can teach that I cant learn on youtube!

Had the machine we were after so we drove across town! Well worth the drive! The staff was super friendly and helpful, in addition to being very knowledgeable/informative. Great all around selection!

Really enjoyed shopping at this store, they have very knowledgeable staff who were very helpful to me. Very helpful with quilting questions for long-arm quilting and any other sewing needs. I think I found my dream quilting shop!

Poor service. Make sure you stand at the cutting table the whole time they are cutting your fabric or they stop serving you in punishment. I was told three times that You just walked away as reason she stopped cutting my 5 bolts and I went back to the end of the line. Cant look around while waiting I guess. Plus my 1/3 yard cuts were both more than an inch short for the insult I guess. I wont be back.

I dropped my sewing machine off in early April and cannot get any response as to when my machine will be done or where it currently is! Every time I call and get a person on the phone they tell me they need to check with someone else and will call me back. Three times I was told this and no calls ☹️ At this point I just want my machine and don’t care if it is repaired.

So pleased with how my Janome is stitching. Thank you! I thought I did a pretty good job of keeping my machine clean and working. I had not had it professionally checked since I bought it over twenty five years (maybe more) ago. It stitches beautifully and he even got rid of the chirp that others wrote about online and I was hearing. I am humbled and thrilled. So worth it.

I usually avoid posting negative reviews, but I fear if I dont publicly write about my experience that others will have similar issues. I ran over a pin with my sewing machine and the Bobbin thread would no longer pull up, so I brought my machine into the store for repair. The ladies at the store seemed to be incredibly helpful and I felt as though I was leaving my machine in good hands. The next week I called to check on the status of my machine - they said it would be another week before the repairman could look at it. Totally fine by me. Another week passes, so I call again and get the same response. Two more weeks pass, similar story. COVID-19 lockdown happens, and I get radio silence. Eventually I reach out on Facebook since their website said their store was closed but repairs were still happening. I made it clear that I understood these are crazy times and its okay that its not repaired yet; I just wanted to know whats going on with my machine (whats wrong with it, have they ordered a part, how long until the part is expected to arrive, etc.) After 6 more weeks of messaging with no clear next step, Id had enough. I called the store twice, and kindly asked to pick up my machine. They said theyd call me back in two minutes. I never received a call. Finally, on a Friday evening after 3 months of absolutely zero communication initiated by anyone at the store, I called and left a message stating I had no idea where my machine was, what the status of it was, and if it was even in their possession. I said I would pursue legal action if I couldnt come pick up my machine. They finally called me back the next day to say I could come get it. Now I will be driving over an hour to take my machine to a store I trust in St. Cloud. Im a big advocate of supporting local businesses, but this is the worst customer experience Ive received. I would not recommend taking your machine here for repair.

I moved here 3 years ago. I suffer from a few medical issues. I had seen years ago and had a new machine I had never taken out of the boxI took my first class with Laura. She sat next to me the entire time knowing I didnt feel well. I proudly gave my very first quilt to my mom for Christmas.3 years later stocked full of great quality fabric. I am now taking 3 classes. I am quilting blocks I never thought I would.Eveyone you works here has always taken the time to help me answer questions. And I feel free to stop by anytime I m struggling with a new block.I now have the confidence to have a hobby esp. Being home bound.I am so grateful to this shop and all who work here ..

The girls at the store are great and very helpful. If they cant answer you questions they find someone who can. I have 3 machines that they help keep cleaned and turned up. I have done many projects in classes. There a awesome place to learn and shop.

Had a sewing machine repair for $75. Did not fix it. I have left messages, but they dont use voicemail. I left messages with employees too, but the owner who did the repair doesnt bother to call back. He seems to always be on vacation too. I was told to keep calling back every day and maybe Aaron (the owner) will be there one of the times I call. This is crazy! I have my own job to be doing during their business hours. I like to support local businesses, but will not support them because unfortunately they are not run like a business.Update: I was pleased that I received a call back after I left the review. I made an appointment with Laura to bring in the machine. I explained the issue I was having with the upper tension being inconsistent in the mechanism that controls it. And that I have played around with it enough to know when it will work well and not work well. Laura is an experienced sewer and felt that my thread wasnt perfect and that my needle wasnt the best choice. I will not disagree with her findings. However, we only threaded the machine once and I have been experiencing inconsistencies through the tensioning mechanism when threading even when trying different thread and needles. Maybe my older machine is getting more particular. Bottom line is, I am not an expert on sewing machine repairs and maybe this is the best that my sewing machine can perform now. So even if that is the conclusion with repair, I will not be returning.. My time with Laura was unpleasant at best. I was left feeling as she wanted evidence (her words) that the machine could make a good stitch, than fully understanding the intermittent issue I was having. She then gave me a lecture on my review. I decided to speak up on issue that prompted drove me to initiate the review. It is that I felt like I wasted my money and tried to resolve my issue, but was met with unresponsiveness in the many messages I left. The initial messages were on the answering machine. None of those were answered. The last four were during their normal business hours. I put in more than reasonable effort to rectify the situation. The first response back was after the review and it did not need to come to that...and I would have liked to be treated as customer trying to rectify the situation instead of being difficult and in need of a lecture.

I just had my Bernina 830 serviced here. I am so pleased. They addressed and resolved every issue. I will return. I highly recommend this shop for machine service and repair.

Brought my machine in to be fixed and when I picked it up and brought home it did not work after paying $92. For it so I brought it back and they said it’s just old. . Took it to Oakdale had someone work on it there and it works fine will not be back.
