Had a very nice experience in the store. Staff are very friendly and respectful. Had a good bargain for my money. Overall I Will give them 4.5. The delivery crew/service was poor. The store manager gets 5 stars. He is very good and extremely experienced. I hate to see my local store leave.

We just purchased several items at the Streamwood store and had a great experience and got a great deal thanks to our new friend Armando!! He was very knowledgeable and attentive and gave us just the right amount of space to make our decisions without feeling like he was sweating us. We’ve been shopping around for a while now and planned on hitting several stores today but got no further than Value City thanks in part to Armando! We found what we wanted at a price we wanted, a great shopping experience. Thanks Armando !!

I had a great experience dealing with Armando and Paul. I had my eye on the happy sectional and was excited to purchase it for my new place. I originally went to the Schaumburg location and they were completely inflexible with delivery times. Paul and Armando worked with me to get a delivery time that worked with my schedule so I didn’t need to take off work for a furniture delivery. Both of these guys gave me superior customer service, if not for them I would of brought my business elsewhere.

Karina was the Home furnishing consultant and she was wonderful. Very personable and not pushy at all. I explained what I was interested in and she took me right over to the area and explained in detail what each item offered. With her help I was eventually able to select the Futon Bunk bed.I would say that the only thing that was a bit disconcerting about my shopping experience was when I asked to speak with the Manager, who I think is Dave. I wanted to discuss a possible discount. While we were speaking he kept shifting from one foot to the other and eventually started taking steps away from me during our conversation. I literally had to ask if he was leaving me in the middle of our discussion. He quickly said no and something along the lines of not being able to keep still. It was very off- putting. As a manager I expect some level of professionalism and rocking from side-to-side and eventually moving away was strange. He did give me a small discount eventually which is why, along with Karinas helpfulness I still give the store 5 stars.

Update / Final: So I finally have everything. They got my my table legs and my cushion from my chair. It is over. I think maybe the customer service helped but either way. i told them if they brought the wrong legs again they could just take the table back and I wanted a full refund. So they brought the right legs. The furniture is decent... I just am sad how long it took to get the table.Update: so Ive had a bar-height table with normal chairs for over a month now and they scheduled appointment to come over and again brought the bar table. Im absolutely flabbergasted its like they dont have any internal communication. Im going to call up the sales person since shes really nice and helpful and hopefully I can get the furniture that I ordered.So I love the furniture I picked up and I really love the saleswoman Kia who helped me but I still havent gotten parts of my furniture and its been 3 weeks now. When they dropped off my furniture they realized they had the wrong legs for it meaning its at bar height but all the chairs are normal height and I havent heard anything back from them and when I stopped at the store they didnt have much of an answer for me either which is really disappointing. They came over the Wednesday right after they realize there was something wrong with the order and I also showed them that one of my cushion zipper is completely broke and I took that cushion but again they havent fixed it or contact me.

The delivery guys did a great job they installed everything quickly the bed frame, night stand and dresser, but when I asked them about the actual bed they said it’s not on the list and I should call the store. Turns out the bedroom set doesn’t come with the mattress, even when I asked if everything was included she said yes. I asked her why didn’t she tell me it didn’t come with the mattress. she told me “everyone knows bedroom set doesn’t come with the bed” Thats why she didn’t say anything. Like I’m stupid for not knowing that. now I’m stuck with a bed set without the bed. She told if i wanted to come back in and look at mattresses or if I’m too mad to go back to the store.

Miguel (manager) really went above an beyond in helping us pick bedroom furniture. For as busy as he was, he went out of his way to make sure we were pleased. His customer service was exceptional. Aside from his kindness, his staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely plan to go back to this VCF in Streamwood. Much better service given compared to the other furniture stores. This is truly the best clearance outlet store.

My husband and I bought a sofa from here recently. What we loved most was furniture consultant, Rick. Most furniture consultants hover over you, but he really gave us our space when we were looking around but would come over if it looked like we had a question. When purchasing the sofa, he again backed away and give us our space when discussing and deciding whether to get the warranty. We’ll definitely be shopping there again, especially if all furniture consultants are like Rick!

Just picked up my new furniture at the customer pick up location at the store. Bought a bed and night stand. Both were easily assembled and built well. My problem is with the person who helped me in the warehouse. This guy seemed completely annoyed that I was there. No hello how can I help you. Just wanted a receipt...not professional in the slightest sence. Came out after I loaded all the boxes myself. No thought of helping me. Brought out his clipboard, counted the boxes and proceeded to tap his pointer finger on the paper where to sign....REALLY??!! turned around walked back inside without saying a word...not a thank you..not a hope you enjoy your new furniture. Nothing! Maybe he was mad because I had to ring the bell for service... sorry to wake you bud..but I am the customer!

I have nothing but problems with the furniture I have purchased 2 years ago from value city streamwood IL furniture. Within the first year the furniture had to be replaced under the manufacturers warranty because it was breaking, both the sofa and the love seat. Then 1 year after that replacement both pieces are broke again. We purchased the extended 5 year warranty value city sells. The warranty company has been to my home 3 times over the course of 6 weeks. The sofa is beyond repair and they have offered us our money back in form of store credit for only that piece. The love seat was repaired by the warranty company and broke within 24 hours of that repair. Now they want to come out to our home again next month and have 2 weeks after that to tell me if this is repairable. We have already given them multiple chances to make this right. All supervisors and managers of this company will not help us. We have asked for store credit since these pieces keep breaking. No one from the store manager of the streamed location to their corporate offices will help us. So our options are to have broken or mismatched furniture.

We found our bed frame online and went to the store to check it out. The sales person wasnt helpful or even concerned about it. We left and ordered it on line. We had delivery to the store and picked it up ourselves. The warehouse people were efficient and bed was delivered on time. We brought it home and found the headboard was nicked. Rather than take it back I called customer service and was immediately offered $100 off of the price. I offered to send a picture of the damaged area but was told it wasnt necessary. The credit has been applied to my account, the nick has been taken care of and our bed looks beautiful. I would definitely go back.

There was only 1 salesperson that was halfway approachable, some of the others were downright nasty when we said mike was helping us. I spent nearly $7,000 on 2 couches, the delivery was an hour late, they delivered the wrong pieces, damaged the couches and caused tons of damage to my newly constructed house. We have talked to 6 different people at both the store (who were had an attitude when we complained about the damage to our new house) and at corporate everyone said that we would receive a call back within 24 hours every time well call which is at least once a day for the last 3 weeks. It was the first time that we called that we were told that someone will be coming out to assess damages and compensate us or repair them. Now we have no where further to elevate our issue besides the BBB.

This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They give you the runaround, their sales people lie to you to sell, the manager is careless to client complaints and the quality of set up is terrible.We purchased a kids bed from here and when the delivery men came in to set up, they did everything within 10 mins-fast. Great, right? ... no, the set up was so horrific the bed started falling apart the next day. My husband ended up taking the bed apart and redoing the entire set up because hinges were put on upside down, nails fell off, nails were missing from the set up, screws were loose and the base of the bed started tilting and breaking. I also emailed in pictures to the store and no one responded to my complaint. I was promised a delivery the next day (today) of the returned bunker board and delivery never came of the requested item. I just called this place and they have no record of the scheduled delivery and the rude customer service rep responded with, the delivery guy said you were picking it up. The content of the email asked to provide a delivery time of the item for the discussed date.Conveniently, the manager was too busy to discuss the matter with me.I do not recommend this place at all. Terrible management and terrible customer service.

I have never been so impressed with a sales team. Furniture shopping can often be a harrowing experience. Not this time. We were immediately greeted by Simaa with a huge smile and an energetic attitude. We were making some large purchases and had a lot of questions. She knew every little detail and even bounced around making sure we were making the right decision for our needs. She consulted with another very knowledgeable employee to make sure she covered all the bases. We were making some purchases in the clearance section which are always sold as is. We wanted to make sure that an electronic recliner/chaise lounge combo was in working order. So she ran over and got the help of Miguel (General Manager) and he ran right over with a portable device so he could plug it in. It worked! And Miguel was fantastic! Color me impressed again! We had to work everything into our VCF credit card budget and he went way above and beyond to make sure that we went home happy. Another associate named Chris even grabbed us some waters while we were busy maxing out our card. I dont think I will shop for furniture anywhere else at this point. Not to mention we got such beautiful furniture for such an amazing deal. Get in there quick while they have a huge selection of clearance items that are all brand new and unblemished. It is few and far between that you come across people in the sales industry who have such integrity, and obvious great character. Wonderful store. Quality items. Unmatched service. I cant say enough. We went home beaming. Thank you so much!

My experience was just great with Karina (sales)and Miguel (manager). I am one of that picky customer... also we bought a set in black and by picking up deside to change the color, but Karina helped us with smile and was super fast, without any hassle . Also, about the Streamwood store - it’s a biggest Chicago area store and has a lot of items on sale, so.... instead of paying 3200$ we was able to find prices on sale for our sectional and got everything for 2200 and that with tax, plus manager also let us know that we still can get a warranty for recliners that were already on clearance!!!

We are not satisfied with the service.we ordered 2 seat recliners power one..(brand new).they delivered on time..but within 3 minutes we reported back the complaint because it was not working..after 10 days they sent their technicians for maintenance. We paid $250 for the warranty too...only because of their irresponsibility we cancelled dining set.

Never buy anything from this place. They are good this they sell you their crap. They will also manage to sell those crappy extended warranties also. But when it comes to after sales service and support they will shuttle you between the insurance company and their store. Even escalating the matter to the highest level will be futile. Dont fall into their trap. Do business where people still value ethics.

I purchased a living room set. And the furniture I purchased was in excellent shape. When I used their delivery team, they broke my furniture bring it in the front door. I contacted the Corp office, they sent a person out to look at what they did. The man that came out seen the chair was broken an the couch was damaged (leat her torn). Confirmed the damage. I have never heard from this store again. Im still waiting for a supervisor to call me. Ive called the store 8 times Corp 4.NO RESPONSE!!! THIS STORE IS A JOKE, NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM, THEY WILL SWITCH YOUR FURNITURE AN BRING YOU SOME DRY ROT CRAP AN SAY THIS IS WHAT YOU PURCHASED! This is for the delivery only as I have mixed reviews on customer service. Had a delivery today with a time between 8:30 - 10:30. I received a call from one of the delivery guys around 8:15 that theyll arrive in 10 mins. Isreal and Arnold were great!!!! They were in and out and very polite.

We purchased a queen sized bed, a vanity and other items. The day prior to delivery we received a call stating the bed was damaged and would be delivered the next week. The next week came and we were told that the bed was given to another customer and they didnt have any more. We spoke with the manager Miguel Padilla and he took care of everything for us. His service is the only reason Im giving this 3 stars. Im still not sure if Im ever going to shop at VCF again but I wanted to acknowledge that Miguel is a great manager and did everything he could do to resolve the order and delivery nightmare. Thank you Miguel!

The furniture looks nice at the time of purchase. A few years into the purchase, we are seeing that most of the products are breaking down loosing screws, faux leather is flaking etc. So if you are a renter and will be moving around and do not want to invest in furniture, it is a reasonable idea. But if you are looking for long term investment, I would avoid it.

Do not buy your furniture here! The stuff they sell is horrible quality. They also have a warranty availably. ITS A SCAM. Try calling the number, they refuse any warranty work immediately. I reported them to the state for FRAUD. I should have known it was terrible when the furniture on the showroom had loose threading and bent recliners, but i was sold with the warranty. Do not fall into their trap.

HORRIBLE !!!!!! I paid for a sectional and ottoman and I thought was a steal because I got it all under 1000$ well wrong my couch was ripped when delivered when I called and confronted they said that I need to call they delivery company called them and they told me call back ! This is my first couch I every purchased and I am having the worst experience never will I ever buy from this pushy store again. Felt very pressured and rush to buy all for this to happen. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME.

After purchasing a clearance item at a different store, where the staff insisted on not giving me a box for a bed head board .. I purchased I travel to a 2nd store where they said they destroy all boxes immediately when opening them..2 times 2 different stores staff refused to give me a box... I almost returned the item.. on a last chance I accidently spotted this store while having lunch across the parking lot... for the 3rd time a sales associate told me the same thing I then was upset.. she I would have to speak to the manager Miguel .. he allowed me to state my case! then he said ( well you should have come here first this is my store and will help you get what you need ) He was the first Man to actually help me out of 3 Value city stores.. I will be back this coming week to pick up a card board box that fits my head board so I can ship to my house over seas.. Miguel restored my faith in customer satisfaction. I just dont know why the other stores were so insistent and even told me they do not come with a head board.. I had to restrain my self rom arguing and take the high road...by saying thank you and have a nice day to them... I will from now on travel the extra distance to the stream wood store even though I live in Chicago... the other 2 stores were not in Chicago they were also in the northern suburbs ...

My husband and I went into Value City in Streamwood in December of 2014 and dealt with a Salesman named Jim. We told him our needs right up front - which were that we needed durable Family Room Furniture for constant use in a high traffic area. He told us to go to leather. He showed us a few different selections and we chose a beautiful sofa, loveseat and rocker chair in leather. He talked us into buying a 5 year warranty with Pure Promise, which we did. About a month and a half went by when we noticed the leather wearing off from sitting on it- so Value City had Pure Promise come out and evaluate it. They had Value City replace the entire loveseat. The wearing off of the leather happened to all 3 pieces and all of the got replaced once. Now it is 4 1/2 years later and my Pure Promise expires December of 2019. My loveseat and rocket chair have the color wearing off on the leather again. Pure Promise said that it is not covered under my warranty to fix the color wearing away. I told Pure Promise how disappointed I was that they won’t fix my problem, but if I would have lied to them and told them something spilled on it and took the color out - they would come out to fix it. They then told me to call Value City since the Salesman misrepresented this furniture and I was told by Value City - that they can’t do anything for us. This store does not have quality furniture like the salesman was trying to portray. He just wanted the $3200.00 sale. I will NEVER buy from Value City again nor will I ever buy from Pure Promise!! They sell you furniture to look at not use!!!

Its been almost 4 weeks since I ordered 2 bed sets, I havent received them yet. The first delivery we learned the salesman did not order the bed rails for the twin bed. They did tell me the king set would be delayed, but the night before it was due to be delievered, they canceled because the bed rails came in damaged. Its a huge inconvenience, and has not been a pleasant experience at all.The good side is the store was clean and the layout is nice.They finally arrived, the delivery guys were so nice and assembled the beds so quick!

Terrrible terrible terrible service!!! Well, we got our furniture delivered about a month and a half ago we paid 150 dollars to get it delivered. The guys came inside and asked me where I wanted the furniture when I told them upstairs they started looking at each other as if I said was something very unusual. Well then they went back and started un wrapping the furniture. I have small kids so I took them to the other room. After 5 minutes one of the guys came and said your sofa is too big and can’t come up stairs and we are talking everything back and I said what about the other sofa they said oh that’s also very big and not going to fit. I said the lady who sold us said the legs come off can you try that he said no still it would fit. I said ok can you leave the furniture in my garage my husband will try to bring them upstairs from the garage. It were not very happy that I asked them to leave it in the garage they were trying to rush me. I said you guys can leave it outside the garage it guys guys are in a great hurry. They put everything out and started to leave and I asked them can they at least put the small chairs inside my house and then they started making lame excuses oh no we have to leave it all together and I said I am the one who is signing the papers that I received the furniture. They looked very mad that they had to take those chairs upstairs. I put the furniture in my garage by myself. Next day my husband brought two guys they were able to bring the furniture upstairs easily with out even trying hard. We paid them 100 dollars and when I called the store about this all they said we can’t do anything at this point we are in the process of firing the whole delivery team in January and he offered my 50 dollars gift card. I said we paid 150 to you guys and 100 to the other guys because you guys didn’t do the job that we paid for. He said that he will back me back which me never did. With in a month one of the sofa is falling apart becaus it was defected. Nails are sticking out and Pieces of wood are falling apart. Two of my kids got hurt from the nails. My husband went to the store and they weren’t helpfull at all they said nothing they can do. After a while they finally offered they they can send a guy to our house to look at it. The guy came and tried to fix and he broke it even more and wasn’t able to fix that problem. When he was leaving I showed him that the wood is still here and nails are still here. He said oh I will report them they will have to replace it. Today I called and the stairs manger said we can’t do anything and I can call later on and talk to the store manager. Just a horrible chain. I will call their customer service on Monday. I am sure they are not going to help either. I will call my attorney and will sue them my kids are getting hurt because they sold us defected furniture which is very dangerous. I am really mad at them will never buy anything from them ever again. Also going to warn my family and Friends so they wouldn’t have to go thru the same thing.

I’ve given this exact store several years of my business before I moved down to Texas. Recently, my sons bed frame broke and I was approved by my warranty company for this store to replace the entire bed. The store advised me they would not send this to me because the bed is too large and there was nothing they could do because it costs too much to send me the bed. I advised the greedy sales associate when I bought the bed that I was moving in the next year and he told me that would be fine and the warranty will guarantee that I will be able to get the bed replaced and they work with companies all over the country that will come out a set the bed up again for us if anything should ever happen to it.Now they are telling me the opposite and basically washed their hands with me. I called Value City corporate and they said the same thing and that there was nothing they could do. Very poor customer service and very poor management that refused to even speak with me directly about the matter. Hilderbrand and Vanessa Avilez were both the decision makers and both were too coward to even take my call not one time. So ridiculous. We even tried to fix the bed ourselves because after a month of waiting to hear back as to whether or not we would be getting a replacement, our son was over sleeping in the couch. The bed set is so cheap is broke even more apart.

Is it normal to deliver the furniture two months after order placed? I just got informed by VCF that they wont have my item available before thanks giving. And customer service talks about that like nothing strange. I really dont know what to say because I dont have a lot of furniture purchase experience.While I like the sales and price, that is where two stars come from. But seriously two months delivery? Is it really a common thing?!

Product is absolute garbage. We purchased a couch and within 6 months the threading let loose (not covered by warranty), after a couple years the seats are completely cracked and torn with stuffing coming out (not covered by warranty). Then frame broke in the back (guess what, not covered by warranty). So if you decide to purchase this garbage furniture do yourself a favor and pass on the warranty. They will come up with every reason under the sun why it’s not covered.

Me and my wife bought a queen pillow top mattress and faux leather head board with the box spring ... It came to a total of around 600... The box spring is complete trash its literally cardboard with pallet wood with fabric over it... We went to a different furniture store and come to find out our same mattress was 150 there.. This place is ridiculous. we bought this while they were having liquidation too.

Two and a half years ago we spent close to $6000 at Value City on furniture and at that time we couldnt afford an expensive sectional, so we purchased a $1200 set made out of synthetic leather hoping that with proper care it would it last for few years. We were assured by the salesperson that it should and in case it didnt we were sold a warranty that according to the salesperson would cover mostly everything. So after two years the sectional started cracking and then peeling like crazy and its pretty much a throw away at this point. We contacted the warranty and to our suprise peeling and cracking isnt covered which is very frustrating. Frankly, I didnt expect Value City to carry a product that would deteriorate so quickly and if it did I would think that the 7 year warranty would cover the damage. When I contacted Value City Furniture directly I was offered $260 towards a new sectional but since I wont buy a non-leather product from them anymore, $260 is not much of any help. I will stay away from Value City Furniture in the future as I dont believe the quality of their furniture and customer service wasnt great either. Unsatisfied costumer.

DO NOT BUY any furniture from this company. I bought a bedroom set and waited two weeks for the delivery and when it finally got here they didnt have the hardware so I had to wait 3 more days only for them to bring the wrong hardware the guy had to go back to the store and brought random screws to hold the bed some of the parts didnt even match. The guy that came out even said that drivers usually misplace the hardware just so they dont have to build it.. I also ordered a dining room set and got the wrong bench I havent gotten the new one yet because they only have certain times open and it just happens to be the times that Im working .. Customer service is horrible they cant solve anything.. I wouldnt recommend this furniture store to anyone just read the other reviews, it seems like Im not the only one

Scummy sales peo0le trying to make commission. Dont get 5 year warranty. Salesman told me warranty would cover anything from my kid or dog and my dog scratched my couch and they said they woudnt cover it. Better off going to Bobs. Better quality and prices and you dont have to deal with lying scumbags there like you do value city.

Horrible experience. I will never shop here again. Delivery men were rude and didnt connect all the pieces of my couch so I had to do it myself. I also tried to order a rug from them and was called to come to the store to pick it up. I get to the store and they said the rug is not there. They then promised to deliver it for free but after they scheduled and cancelled three deliveries for it over two months I finally just cancelled the order.

Surprisingly, the management wasnt the worst part here. Sales person was not very knowledgeable and had very broken English. Was going to buy, but price was like 150 over the 2k I wanted, so we left. While leaving, half way to the door, our sales person (Ewa) got snippy with us and told my wife and I in a rude tone to go back to the back and tell the manager that were not going to take the stuff because she needed to punch out. Thats not our job? LoL. We walked out. I was considering coming back tomorrow until that happened. Maybe ill try a different VC tomorrow. I know 1 persons action doesnt speak for an entire business sometimes, but that lady doesnt deserve her commission from us.

Went here looking for a desk for a friend. There were only a few and those were not anything special. We looked around and really didnt see anything we liked and it all seemed very overpriced. Bought furniture for the first time from value city furniture Streamwood, IL at first they called and said our delivery is delayed due to defective furniture and then after a week they sent us the same defective furniture. We returned the whole furniture and again gave them another chance. Bought furniture on 4th of July with 36 months no interest promotion. When we got the statement it was showing 24 month. I called them and asked them why the statement is showing 24 month promotion instead of 36, Vanessa told me that she will let the bank know to change it to 36 month. When i call the bank after 1 week to check if the changes has been made or not they said they did not received anything communication from the store. This was so frustrating, they got good stuff but not very good customer service. Not recommended at all
