My previous vehicle was a Dodge Dakota. 275,000 miles later convinced me that having 1 source for maintenance was well worth it in the long run.I moved to Suffolk about halfway in my Dakotas useful life.Starr Motors was a Dodge dealer and I have trusted Lisa and the team at Starr to handle all my vehicles maintenance. My CV has currently 135,000 miles and just like the Dakota, has given me great service! I highly recommend Lisa and the Team at Starr Motors for Sales and Service.
Danny was helpful with any questions we had, at time of ordering it went smoothly, time of delivery, vehicle was clean and looked great, Danny went over everything in vehicle, and told me if I had any questions to call and he would help me. At time of doing fabric, paint and undercoating, when I picked up, truck looked great, the staff that I have met have been friendly and helpful. Yes I would recommend Starr and Danny for your sales guy.
This is, by far, the worst place to take your vehicle to if you want your vehicle fixed.I took my car for a problem with one of the brake lights. They charged me $130 diagnosis fee, they said it needed a wiring repair. They ordered the part and came after a week. After I sat there almost an entire day, their service advisor came and said that they could not fix it because the instructions were not clear and they do not have the tool to fix it.They charged me again for a part that is just a wire with a bulb socket at the end and told me to take it somewhere else.It was just one light not coming on, now ALL lights do not work and the taillight isnt tightened and about to fall off the vehicle. AWESOME!If you dont know how to fix it or not sure what the problem is, thats fine, just say so before you have me wait, spend money, and actually mess up the vehicle.I dont believe what they said about not having the tool because the taillight was off the car. The story was just a cover-up for their incompetency and unprofessional way of doing business.My family owns 5 vehicles and I have been a loyal customer since I moved to Suffolk, but now, I will never trust them fixing my daughters bicycle, much less one of my vehicles. Take your vehicle somewhere else and save your time, money, and your vehicle.
The lady on the phone is being incredibly rude to my husband (10/1/21 at 9:20am) who is trying to figure out if our warranty is going to cover a repair. Weβve been waiting for almost two weeks for a call back about this and have had to call repeatedly to be told the person in charge is on vacation, gone for the day, or just hasnβt done it. Weβd love to have our car repaired here to support a local business but the attitude, lack of urgency, and the lack of professionalism is going to push us to go elsewhere.
Our (my son & myself) car buying experience was truly great. I could say the usual comments like, friendly staff, knowledgeable, clean inventory, etc....which is all true. But to truly express our experience goes beyond those words. Care and concern for my sons 1st new car as a soon to be new Dad. Tracey, the Sales Manager even sent him the cutest baby gift. We live 2hrs away and I would definitely shop there again.
Incredible experience! Genuine people that really want to help! I purchased a used 2006 Jeep Commander from Chris Kobal. Chris helped me every step of the way. I purchased completely over the internet/phone, as I am from Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Chris sent me multiple detailed pictures and made sure every box was checked to make my buying experience seamless. He even had the service center completely check the vehicle top to bottom to ensure there were no surprises (even put on four new tires + a new spare at no extra charge!!!). The car was fully detailed and ready to go. In-fact, the team at Starr included Starbucks gift cards for the long drive back!!! I could not ask for a better overall experience. We recently purchased a new vehicle from Starr Motors. Danine was amazing! She was straight forward throughout the whole process and very friendly. She made sure the car we were interested in was pulled out front and cleaned before we arrived. She was very patient and honest about everything. I wouldnt buy from any other Chrysler Ram dealer in the area. Making the drive from Great Bridge to Suffolk is worth the Service & Savings. Needed to upgrade from my hybrid SUV to a Van due to increase in grandchildren, all of my research of top brands for safety & value paid off and Glen Ellis was the perfect no pressure salesman I prefer.
I am very pleased with the oil change, however I am disappointed that the tires could not be rotated due to the wheel lock was misplaced. I am sure this is not the first time that you experience this challenge. My wife was told that it just couldnβt be done.

We had our Jeep toy car towed there. We suspected a tie rod was trying to break. I asked for them to fix whatever was wrong. I gave them an open ticket to charge me anything! They called and said a lug nut was loose! Wheel was about to come off! They called and told me, and said I could pick it up. I was shocked! So I told them to inspect it (several months early) and change the oil and do any routine maintenance. Yet again they called and said it was ready. I could have shown up to several thousand dollars! That jeep is 15 years old! But NO! These folks could have ripped me off in a BIG manner! They were honest, did their job with great integrity, and made a customer for life!!!! BRAVO Starr Motors.

Worst experience ever I do not recommend anyone to take their Vehicle there to be repaired I took my Vehicle there to be repaired for security reasons it took him two weeks to repair so I picked my Vehicle up only for the following day to breakdown for the same reason I took it there for. I had it towed back To only find out it was something else which could have been resolved the first time it seems to me that they are guessing Not only that I spent $1150 now I have to spend another $600 to fix it which I really think was the problem the first time.Not happy at all π€π€
I went there for an inspection this morning. Their inspections are on a first-come first-serve basis. I was and out, and they didnt come up with some bogus servicing issue that would have caused my car to fail.

Bought a dually from Devin back in Feburary. They took in my trade in with no questions. Treated me like a king with personal treatment. Both him and Eddie were a pleasure to deal with!Recently I had an issue with some shaking the truck was doing. Took it back and talked with Ashley in the service department. She helped me very well with my questions and kept me informed. The Truck needed needed a bit more than I thought but I went ahead and listened to what they suggested I do. I was going to leave just a four star review due to a miss charge understatement, but talking with Thomas he assured me everything would be taken care of. Without any hesitation or deliberation he returned my overpayment. Best staff I have ever worked with in the car buying and service business. Thank you so much for what you do guys.

My JKU had the most annoying movement and vibration in the steering wheel. Tina is the best. She invited me into the bay to look at what they found. Even tried to not charge me and have my tire installer / dealer fix the vibration. I opted to stay with Star and Tina. They did a flawless job.. fast.. even sent me a text I could respond to if I had questions. I had to call Tina on the way home just to thank her... It good to get that old school home town feeling when you go to a service department and dealer. Everyone is super friendly and the best dealer service I have ever had. I come from Virginia Beach, driving past Hall, Southern, and other Jeep Dealerships to get to Star motors. Regardless what I need in the future, Ill take the trip.. Took my truck in for some warranty work and was taken care of immediately. Was setup with a rental and on my way within 10 minutes. Communication from the service department was exemplary and I was kept informed as to the status of the work being performed. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating. Picked up my truck and was surprised to see it was washed for me. The service and attention to detail is why I will keep driving my truck from Hampton to Starr motors in Suffolk. I recommend this dealership highly!

Just like any dealership they need to make their money but will not overprice you in the process.
The Service department is absolutely horrible. Had my Jeep all day for 2 recalls and a diagnostic test. Scheduled the appointment for 8am. At 3pm when I called to check on it, they had not even touched it yet. A phone call earlier in the day to let me know they were running behind would have been nice. I should have listened to the many people who told me not to take it there.

After car shopping for about a week from dealers such as KIA, Chevrolet and Ford, I finally stopped by Starr Motors, having an issue with massive amounts of negative equity in a vehicle I really needed to get out from under, isnt a great position to be put in at the beginning of a new car loan, but Glen and Ed were able to help work out rebates, spent the time to shop around for the best interest rate and all in all really worked to make this deal happen! Over all a fantastic experience and would recommend visiting Starr Motors for your auto purchase.... Ask for Glen, he will definitely treat you right!!!

Ill never go there again. Had bought a 2000 wrangler for 9g n my engine died 5 days after buying it n then again n I spent another 4g in fixing all her issues. Last month they said about 900$ to fix stuff n a 2nd opinion mechanic looked n it was a loose clamp that cost 15$ to fix. They just lie n steal ur money. Ill never buy from nor send anyone there. Ever.

After a week to get to my appointment, I dropped off my car thinking it shouldnt be long for it to be fixed. Two full days later I still do not have a diagnosed or fixed vehicle. Upon dropping off the vehicle they werent all that friendly to me. I was made a promise by Lisa (Service Writer) to receive phone updates and didnt even get those. They have zero customer service skills. If they cant diagnose and fix a minor problem in one day (much less two) I sincerely doubt their technicians are any good. We shall see. Im still waiting on a diagnosis. This is no where near how Ive been treated there in the past.Im starting to think all of the good mechanics have left the company, especially since it has been two full days since my appointment and I still have yet to hear diagnosis, fix action and am without a vehicle.Update: My husband tried contacting the service manager and was placed on hold for 30 minutes then transferred to the service department where he spoke to the same useless service manager (Lisa) that I had to deal with. He did not get anywhere with her either.Two full days later as I drove my car home from Starr Motors the check engine light came on. I wasted $89.00 and ended up with more problems than I started with. My vehicle has low miles too so it doesnt appear to be coincidence, all of the good mechanics have left the company.
After years of being loyal Duke Chevrolet customers and purchasing multiple vehicles, (My husband is also an avid Chevrolet die-hard) Weve purchased our first Jeep!! π€£When it came time for a new vehicle for myself, against my husbands wishes we went to Starr Motors. The entire experience from start to finish was impeccable. Glen Ellis, was patient and listened to exactly what I was looking for and didnt push what I wasnt. They also provided lunch while we searched (who does that in this day and age)?!? Glen was very informative and thorough when explaining all the new technologies and vehicle features. He was also very patient when I asked to test drive multiple vehicles (some of the same vehicle twice). Not once did he express any frustrations. Eventually, I found the perfect vehicle. After we finalized the purchase, he took the time to set up and initialize the vehicle. Not once, made me feel like we were just a sale!! I must also give kudos to the entire staff, My husband was NOT shy about voicing I wasnt shopping for a Chevrolet. Everyone was very understanding and our overall experience was an exceptional one!! I have to admit that my service was okay. I really didnt like the idea that I had to call to get an update about the status of my vehicle and when I did call, something just changed. It would be nice to know if my warranty covered the work on my car until after I had to pay for a diagnostic. Since it was it a Dodge/Fiat/Mopar warranty, that is something that the representative could have looked up but wouldnt. Even though I live only about 10 minutes away, I will be taking my vehicles to Greenbriar Dodge for better service.

Went in to look at a van. Called before making the trip to make sure the vehicle was there and available. Made the trip just to find the vehicle to be sold. Looked around the lot since I was there. Told the salesman what I was looking for and my price range. The guy proceeded to show me vehicle that were clearly out of my budget. Finally found one that would work. Happy with the price and the trade in value of my vehicle. Then I was sold an extended warranty just to find out that it is not worth the paper it is printed on. Longer story short. Dont go here. Salesman are not honest. And the promises that they make for warranty is not worth the extra $3,000. Go somewhere else!!!!

Parts and service facility out dated. Parts staff was great, service staff seemed disinterested.Took my 2005 jeep in for service because another repair facility could not perform the work. Although the service advisors seemed indifferent and the facility is a outdated, I must praise the technician who worked on my car. He was very thorough and knowledgeable and took time to identify, address and explain my issues. He alerted me to a repair done incorrectly and gave me solid advice. He owned up to a minor issue I had and corrected it immediately. Just a great experience. Five stars to him and the work performed. I have decided that it is not worth saving a few cents and will be bringing it to Starr from here on out. Thank you for your help.
