I was worried about my step-daughter finding an honest good repair shop when she moved away. I was very happy with how Sawyer Automotive worked with me, and was very honest. They did a rear brake job, rotors, and calipers for a reasonable price. My step-daughter is in good hands.

Sawyer Automotive is a great shop. Very friendly people and they do great work. Every interaction from when I first called to when I picked up my vehicle was professional and personable. Earl did a great job explaining the problem and options for repairing it. They completed the work when they said they would and now my truck is running great again. This is definitely where I will be bringing all my vehicles from now on.

Well, lets start by saying this place has one of the best mechanics and used to be my favorite auto shop. On the other hand my experience was much different on the last visit.I arrived at 8:00 am on Wednesday morning, 1st day of my vacation. The work was supposed to take an hour and a half to 2 hours. At 10ish who I believe was the scheduling manager told the mechanic (Tim I believe or maybe Tom), to tell me what happened....evidently he dropped a tool inside the engine by accident. Since the battery was not unplugged it blew a fuse. There was not an auto part store that carried that particular part and it had to be delivered from a dealership which would not be till after lunch. This meant I could not leave the shop till after they fixed it. Finally the part arrived at 12:30 and my car was ready at 1:30. Now I go to pay and I see that I was charged for the part they accidentally had broken. When I mentioned it to (lets call him Mr. X since I dont remember his name.) Mr.X, he told me that it was not their fault which I fully agreed with but I told him why do I have to pay for it? It is not about the money but the principal of it.Mr.x replied ok, I will remove it but this is the last time you will come here.Now what allows him to talk to a customer like this....lets see.About an hour or so after I arrive the owner showed up and was at the shop, during all this time he never said a word to me or even acknowledged me...not a single word.What happened to customer service and building repor with your customers.They may not need my business or dont care to ha e my business. I know there are other good mechanics out there like Major Mechanic or Dellinger auto....BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PRINCIPAL AND LOYALTY?

Good old-fashioned service with a personable, small-town feel. Were very glad we discovered this place. Its refreshing to have a mechanic point things out in person. Especially when they showed me something and said, You dont need to spend money on this right now, and you might never need to. But keep an eye on it. Then he explained what to watch for.

An automechanic with integrity is hard to find. They have them at Sawyers in spades. If they cannot do the work they will let you know up front. The work they do is performed well and at a reasonable price and for those of us that live in Suffolk they are very convenient.

Very pleasant staff, friendly, reasonable prices, Owner and his workers really know theri work and care about their customers. They only do want customers ask for. Ive been going there for over 10 years and been extremely happy. I highly recommend anyone to go the there.

Had my car dropped off here once it broke down since I didnt know much of Suffolk for shops. They did good work and end up finding out there was another issue which they fixed too. All around they have great service and will contact you if they need to ask you questions.

These guys are very friendly, outstanding mechanics, and most importantly to my view, HONEST. Let me tell you how I know that:I took my wifes 2006 Jeep Rubicon in because it had a slow oil leak/drip that I could not find. They found it, leaking seal on the motor, fixed it, but had to drop the transmission in order to do so. About $600. OUCH.A few days later............leaking again. So I bring it back in...........they drop the tranny AGAIN.........only to find that one of the drain plugs was only finger tight and was weeping oil. When I asked them what I owed them now, all he said was, Nothing. We should have seen that the first time.Now I am a customer for LIFE.
