Needed an inspection, oil change, and tire rotation. Called and got an appointment for a few days out, which fit my schedule perfectly. Dropped it off the night before. Picked it up the next afternoon all ready to go. As always, staff was super friendly and service was awesome. Been doing business with them since they opened and never been disappointed! Would highly recommend! (And have to many folks!) 👍🏼😁🚙

Fair price and honest service.Before bring my 2006 4Runner to Suffolk Automotive, I installed a Dobinsons 3 lift kit, new front upper & lower control arms, adjustable upper & lower rear control arms and extended bump stops.Shawn replaced my rusty & seized flexible rear brake lines with extended lines, made sure the truck sat level and dialed in the rear ensuring the axle was properly aligned with the driveshaft and followed with a front end alignment.I am very happy with the service and attention to detail. Many other shops do the bare minimum. This was not the case. I expect a job to be done right the first time and this is what I received.Thank you!

I was just there again. This time for a state inspection. No Appointment. When I asked if it was possible to get an inspection, they told me the wait time and it was actually correct. Thats a major plus in my opinion. I do most of my own car maintenance, but will definitely give them a chance when something else comes up.

I have been going to this shop for about 8 years. The only shop I would allow to work on my vehicles. Everytime I would have to being my car back for lack of service. They would correct the problem everytime without question. I thought this was great service. One day I recommended my mom to go there. Her vehicle was to service for an oil change, 2 days after her motor clank and junk dead. I had another mechanic fix it, he stated that the hoses were reversed and that killed the motor. I suspect foul play, so I stop going there. 2 years pass I returned just to get a state inspection, the technician called and said my driver door would not open. I arrived within 10 minutes to show him it would open, he opened the door for me to enter and shut the door behind me. When I reached to open the door it was broken. The handle was hanging down. I replied to him you broke it!..it was not like this when I dropped it off. He said I tried to pull it up down and even twist it. When I arrive back the owner tells me I owe him $210 for a handle I did not break. Now I do understand that they take advantage of people and create more work to make more money. $20 inspection cost me $210. So please beware, take it from someone who have done business with them over 10 years...DO NOT GO THERE.

And were going to charge me $800 to change my upper control arms I found another place in Portsmouth that would do it 150 a piece. The guys at this company are nice and efficient but a little pricey

My grandparents have been coming here for as long as I can remember and have had nothing but good things to say.My opinion is totally different. We had my husbands car towed here and had a lot of work done and it wasn’t cheap. The Car started having the same issues within 2 weeks of getting it back. Not great work done there, eh?I called to ask how much it would be to have my vehicle looked at, told it would be free. Dropped it off this morning and was charged $100 on pick up. There was no paperwork signed or acknowledgment when we dropped the car off that it would be $100 JUST TO LOOK AT IT, especially after they said it would be free on the phone. I’ll urge my grandparents to go else where too.My husband asked for a price list of all the parts it would require to fix my car and we were told *on the phone* that wouldn’t be an issue! Sure enough, no price printout! Horrible customer service.It’s shameful that you would drop a surprise $100 bill on a family during the pandemic knowing people are out of work and struggling as it is. I will *never* step foot in here again.

Highly recommended. We were referred to AS by a family friend who claimed these people are honest. After my first visit here, I never went anywhere else. The people are honest and nice. They look at your car then let you know the issue about the car and ask your permission to perform repair. Theres also a drop in key box for odd hours, esp. weekends.Downside: parking area is usually full.

Always diagnose perfectly and never try to be dishonest they guarentee the work my mechanics for life.

I love this place. I have taken my car here for several years and have always been pleased with the quality of work and fair prices. They are super professional and will go out of their way to be easy to do business with. I never thought I would say that I completely trust my mechanic. Some of the other reviews here are too funny, but I kinda agree. They always seem busy, but always have time to take care of me. Dont mess this up by becoming a new customer. Thanks!

I walked in and asked for help with one of my tires that went flat. The guys looked at it and put some plugs in it. They lifted up my truck and put the tire back on for me. They were extremely nice and very professional.

Please dont use these guys! Theyre sooo good that theyre already super busy. The prices are fair and I dont want supply and demand to jack that up! This is my mechanic I dont want to share!Seriously, when you find a good, fair, reasonably priced mechanic, you grab on and hold tight. Glad we found them!

Had a free inspection done at a dealership in Suffolk; they noted a couple of things needing attention and quoted very high costs. Brought the car to Automotive Specialty for inspection and their costs were more reasonable. Friendly, prompt and professional.

These guys are the worst. I have been taking all of my vehicles to them for over decade. If you start going here then I will no longer get excellent service at a reasonable price. So please go somewhere else so I can keep them all to myself.

I do not recommend using these guys at all. I came in for my annual state inspection, and was told my brake lights were out. They came back, and told me that my fuse relay box was bad, and needed replacing. They wanted to charge around $300-$400 to replace!! I got my local guy to look into the problem, and it wasnt the relay box at all!! It was a loose brake light wire that cost me $65!!

Turned away twice this week for a 5 minute motorcycle state inspection that doesnt even need a bay. Finally, today he said come back at 2, so I came back at 2 between appointments and was told it would be at least an hour. No apology. Not even very nice about it. Wont be back with the motorcycle of any of my 3 cars - and they probably dont care.

Low priced, very professional. Even gave me a ride home while they were working on my vehicle!
