The man standing behind the cash register taking the money, he says no to keep from helping you. I showed him pics and he still says no and I go to find something close or similar to what I need. Get someone in there that speaks a lil English! Ill just go somewhere else!

The gentleman at the register was so friendly and helpful to not only me, but everyone in the store. This place has everything!! Went looking for ONE item, came out with 11.

Newly relocated to back to Suffolk Va.The owners of this hair store have no knowledge of the hair products they sell. This business is in a small town therefore everyone goes to it. There are only 2 other relative hair salons in the city of Suffolk. Hair products are overpriced and that’s if they have it in stock. They’ve been here for many, many years they only want to sell the most expensive items even if you ask for an item in a certain price range. For anyone that’s spending their money try to shop else where every business offer a different kinda of customer service

This is my go to BSS. Pretty good selection of products. Owners are really nice. They make you feel welcomed and free to Rome about NOT WATCHED! I can actually take my time( Im indecisive). They will answer questions. They value repeat customers! Prices are average.

Huge selection of wigs, hair, and wig/hair accessories. Good pricing as well. This is my new hair place. Also have great selection of jewellery. Love my new nose ring.

When I need hair my first stop is always 14k. Their prices are usually on par for the better brands of braiding hair and often times cheaper. The staff is friendly and helpful for the most part.

Just because a store is big, doesnt mean it has a lot of options. Honest review here.... There is a wide selection of hair but not many colors, wave or curl patterns for half of the hair. The packages of braids, crotchet hair, etc is actually taken from the 2,3xs packs and made into smaller bundles for double the price. I have lived all over and this store honestly charge double for a lot of its hair. You can find hair accessories and shampoos and such here but thats about it.

My mom, daughter and I was shopping here 1/21/2020. My mom asked to try on a wig. She tried on 2 and I tried on one. My daughter left several items on the counter to purchase because her hands were full and she wanted to continue to look. While I was walking around looking at different crochet hair I heard the owner and my mom having words . So approached the counter to see what was wrong. My mom said that she told her to tell me to cmon thats enough and that she tried on too many wigs. So Im guessing youre not supposed to take your time and look around to see what you like. Guess she thought we were trying to steal. Needless to say we left everything on the counter. I would rather spend my money where its appreciated. Three customers lost. I will now be shopping with the nicer people in the beauty supply store close to ihop.

Ive been in this store numerous times. Most of the time I find what I need and I leave. Depending on how youre dressed they will treat you like your stealing something. I live near by but I will go to another shop and spend my money there because they treat all black people the same. I dont give my business to racist shop keepers who spy on me while I shop.

I havent had a problem but does lack customer service luster! Product knowledge is key not just knowing where the product location in the store.

This place had 1 of the things I needed after checking Sallys, Walmart, and Beauty World. However, everything is over priced.

Great customer service...

On the afternoon of July 7, 2018, I made a purchase from the Levenson beauty supply. I went to my car to retrieve an item I had previously purchased at another beauty supply store. I wanted to ask the store if they sold the item in the color 1B. I returned to the store and went straight to the counter and waited for the clerk to finish her transaction with another customer. Before I could say anything, the clerk says “you don’t pay for that“ . I assured her that I had retrieved the item from my car and that it was not from her store. I told her I have receipts and she should check the tapes. She shouts “you never left the store “ “you didn’t pay for the that”. The manager comes over to the counter his voice grows louder as repeatively says something like “come over here”. At this point, I’m scared and I didn’t want them touching me or my stuff. So I politely told him “ watch the video and call the police if you think I stole something”. The clerk then says “I can tell that’s not mine I don’t sell that” referring to item she just accused me of taking. I asked for a refund for the items I brought earlier. The manager refused to refund the purchase I made before the clerk decided to embarrass me and accuse me of taking anything. The manager was very unprofessional and both he and clerk refused to apologize after yelling false accusations and screaming “leave the store” and “ no one will talk to you” . I told them I would tell everyone about this store the manager’s retort was “you have shotguns I have shotguns too”. I had to have the police and my husband come to the store at which time the manager was much more pleasant and said he did not hear the clerk say “the item was not their product”. The clerk told the police and my husband that she would not give me a refund or apology . However, the manager agreed to refund me the money for the products I had brought from them, but he would not apologize. I will never use this store again and my hope is that noone will freely spend their money with businesses like this one devoid of customer services skills and common decency for the people that are thier customers.

The owners are rude. They talk to their customers like illiterate children, and treat people like thieves.Several friends / family members have told me that they had been treated poorly by the owners and therefore did not shop there any longer, but I continued to patronize them because of the selection and price.Today I finally experienced this treatment for myself. I approached the cash register and in a normal volume asked a question. In response the owner raised her voice at me and slapped my products while telling me to that the answer was on the door. I tried to explain myself but she continued in such a loud tone that it attracted the attention of other shoppers.I refused to stoop to her level, so I exited the store without engaging her.

Generally have what Im looking for.

They raise their prices too often, watch customers too closely and have really nasty attitudes. The Dollar General next door has many of the same products at least a few dollars cheaper.
