We Just have 14 acres cleared by shady acres a sub contracted job and man we are definitely gonna be using them in the future.

My back yard was Horrible until I called Shady Acres. They came out and put a plan together for us. I never thought I would have an Amazing back yard like this! I just love how they have transformed my yard. My Husband and I love being in the yard now.Bridgett put an Awesome plan together and James came with the crew and executed it. They turned our yard into a little oasis, a little piece of heaven, into a Beautiful, Peaceful, Wonderful and Enjoyable place for us to come home and Relax!

I hired shady acres to install 3 yard drains, fill in the low parts of my yard, and grade it.One of the drains is about 5 inches above ground, making it useless for draining the water.They told me they were going to bring 3 yards of fill, which I told them was not going to be enough. After they were done it was clear that 3 yards was not enough. They did not grade the yard so water puddles in low areas. The trenches they dug for the pipe were not filled in properly so there is now a low path going through the yard.I had to have them come back out to fix it, but all they did was lower the drain, but there is a hill around it so water can’t get to it.I asked them to come out again but they never did. I will have to pay another, hopefully better and more professional company to come and fix their work.Stay away

Absolutely DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Halfway fixed my yard after paying them THOUSANDS of dollars to grade my yard and install sod. All they did was lay sod right over the uneven ground, so my yard is still as uneven as before and still floods!! Then after concerns were voiced and pictures were sent, they said they would come and fix it on 3-4 different occasions and NEVER SHOWED UP. Now they haven’t answered any phone calls or emails from me or my husband. About to take them to civil court. This is so ridiculous. They act like they are a family business that cares for their customers satisfaction but they don’t and they take no pride in their half-done work.

I had Shady Acres come out to install 15 palm trees and changed our sod to zoysia on our kiawah Island home and their quality of work is just amazing. The trees are top quality as James mention they would be and sod looks amazing. Will post pictures soon.Thanks GuysWILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

Horrible. They were used for a few months and the service was about as mediocre as it gets. The kid down the road that cuts it now does a better job and is more consistent. I was headed to the store one day and received a call about some damage done while one of their employees were mowing the back yard. I came back to find my water hose ripped from the side of the house (the spigot was broken from the inside) and the employee laughing at what he had done. The owners came over and insurance was supposed to stay in contact but could never get them to respond to anything. I have just received a letter in the mail saying that no damages would be covered. This company is the most unprofessional I have ever dealt with. I have never left a review for anything but felt that this was worth my time if it would save anyone else from wasting their money.

This company is the worst landscaping company Ive ever been in contact with. They were hired to fill in a drainage ditch at the front of my property. After initially stating they could do the job, they advised halfway through the project they couldnt complete a portion of the project. In addition, their customer service was horrible. Several times, they stated they would be at our home to work on the project but never showed. No phone calls or emails stating why. We would have to call them days later, only to hear excuses as to why they didnt show.They were required by SCDOT to install a drainage box. The end result is a drainage box that sits at least a foot above the rest of my yard making it completely useless and causing mass flooding in my front yard every time it rains. SCDOT refused to close the work order until I get it fixed.Bottom line....we had to take them to court to get our money back. from them to hire a competent company to come in and fix their mistakes. Of course we won. Now we are just waiting for the company to refund out money. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE INCOMPETENT AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIFIC!!!! If I could give this company zero stars, I would!PEOPLE....YOU NEED TO READ REVIEWS VERY CAREFULLY! It seems pretty suspicious that this company received several 5 star ratings after I posted my original post. The company is getting friends and family to post these rating to try and keep their overall rating above rock bottom. Do not use this company!!!!!!Another update....I took this company to court to get back most of the money I gave them to do the job they were supposed to do. The court ruled in my favor for $7580. Shady Acres had 30 days to give me the money, but I havent seen a dime. I am waiting for court paperwork to continue the process.

James let his guys destroy a number of my plants. He promised to fix it. Never fixed it. Promised to pay me back and never paid me back. Run from this guy.

Their guys dont edge the lawn, they may show up and may not, without any notice. The owner promised me last Friday that my 4 rental property lawns would be cut on that Friday or definitely by Monday. He said that they were behind due to the storm ( which was two weeks ago). Here it is Tuesday and my lawns still have not been serviced. I called and text yesterday morning, and this morning and left voice messages and my calls and text still have not been returned. Their customer service is awful, as well as the quality of their service!!!

You guys rock! The team responded immediately to give us the quote and was up and running getting the job done in no time.We threw some additional curve balls at them along the way, but they handled it very well and completed all the tasks in the agreed time.The crew was polite and very respectful of the property.We actually scheduled a summer project with them prior to finishing the most recent one.They came as a referral to us, and now we refer them to everyone we can.We ended the journey by firing up the smoker for them and having a meal together, because theyre just overall great people!Keep up the great work and we look forward to the summer project!

The very example of over promise and under deliver. Says one thing and does another completely. Pretty much a lawn care company disguising themselves as professional and landscapers. Equipment sub-par with many break downs. Very quickly growing prices that change as they go. Still waiting for what they promised. Story changes as they go along, once they get some money, stretches the job time promise out without communicating. No show/no call on more than one occasion. Will look you in the eye and tell stories. What started out as a week turned into a month plus. Gave exact measurements, then cut job short, left garbage on the site, then father/laborer blowing up about it on site in front of client. Caution. What they tell you make sure every bit of it is recorded, as what they say and what they do become different. Starts out great, but very poor communicating skills turn your job into a nightmare. Borrows a tool you have to ask for back more than once. Run dont walk to another company to get stuff done. Unless you dont mind overpaying for a job underdone. Very shady indeed.

These guys are the drainage go to guys. Their crew last week put a MASSIVE DRAINAGE SYSTEM and small dam in our back yard because of the high tide problem. It works flawless now my dogs does not bring mud in the house yaaaaaaa thank you thank you guys.

Fantastic local company. Very professional and detailed on the work that they do. Bridgett came out and did a drainage consult with me and my husband. We had a very bad flooding problem in the front yard. She gave us three solutions to fix it we went with the middle solution. Shady Acres installed a massive drainage system and st Aug. WELL THAT WAS A YEAR AGO AND IT LOOKS LIKE THEY PUT IT IN YESTURDAY. I just had to leave a review today. Will definitely use this company again.

Landscaped for about 6 months with no problems, but one afternoon one of the workers were mowing and caught our backyard hose in their machine. This forcefully broke off the metal pipe from the wall and caused a flood of water coming uncontrollably through the broken pipe in-between both the indoor and outdoor garage wall. We contacted the owner and they refused to compensate us for any of the water damage. We do not recommend them to anybody because they will not take responsibility for any damages to your property from their employees.

This company has tried to steal my identity and claim my unemployment and will not respond to me except with rude remarks and hanging up on me!

Reached out to Shady Acres after seeing what a good job they did with lawn maintenance for a neighbors yard. They gave me an estimate on the spot and said to contst them to schedule. I should have known that since it took several attempts and follow-ups that it was too good to be true. I needed service every other week for basic cutting and trimming. After about 3 months, they failed to show . It had rained on my scheduled day, so I assumed they would work me in the next week. They did not show the next week on the scheduled day. I reached out to find out what happened and was told they dropped me as a client because they were a small company and were too busy . The reason for the poor rating is because the courteous and professional way of handling this would have been to inform me instead of not showing and not saying anything.

This company IS AWESOME LET ME TELL YOU. They KNOW how to make a lawn look PROFESSIONAL!!!!!!They mow our house in Mt Pleasant and just from our yard they picked up the whole street. AWESOME!!!

Very in professional. Their name fits them perfectly “shady”. Only finished half the project and did it half assed. Tell me how a drain is supposed to drain when it’s a foot higher than anything else. I’m so embarrassed of my yard and it will take years to fix. This company never offered to come and fix what they carelessly destroyed.

Horrible experience

Called for an estimate and set up a time. He called to say he was running 15 minutes behind. 30 minutes later still no show somi called him back. He said he was 8 minutes away. So i waited anotjer 25 minutes and tried calling him back at which that point he began ignoring my calls. Just like the name very Shady company. I would trust the, tp do anything for you.

It takes a Lot for me to write a review. Shady Acres Landscape came out and installed 1/8 of a mile rock drive way for me with a crown on the road. You had to see how mucky of a road this was. Long story short I drive my big rig up and down it now with now ruts. Its hard to find a company to do this.
