Whoever was driving the van at around 7:30 on January 25th hit my car and just drove off. When I called the company the driver himself answered and started yelling. License plate reported ✔Edit: was called multiple times by the driver and was left a voice-mail that consisted of him yelling his head off. This person is an actual danger on the road. And they claim to have a video of the incident where it will be bright as day what happened if they dont try to delete it.

I have been using Syosset Lock Shop for many years (I have been in the area over 2 decades) and they have always been my go to lock shop whether getting new keys made, fixing & installing door looks, etc...Always there to assist and do a great job. Had someone come to my house to evaluate a bad lock. Requested first appointment of the day so I could make it to work on time. The gentleman who arrived was almost half an hour early which was great! He evaluated the bad lock, discussed options with me, changed the lock, demonstrated how to lock it, and even oiled another one of my locks which had been sticking. Excellent service. I would definitely recommend and use again myself.

I had an old Schlage front door lock that needed work. Carl rummaged around and found a cylinder that fit, he did a great job when other locksmiths would have just shrugged and said sorry, cant get parts for that old lock A very professional shop.

I came here to get a replacement key for my Honda Civic as the plastic case was cracked. They were able to replace the casing to something much more durable, and to also cut me a spare non-remote key that will start my car and open the doors that I can use as a spare. Fast and friendly service!

I had my front door lock repaired and could not be happier with the service I received! This lock is the houses original from 1929 and includes both key and dead bolt, the problem happened at 7pm when the inner knob came off in my hand and locks seemed frozen in place.I called Syosset Lock Shop and got an answer, I emailed pictures of the mechanism to Steve and Frank showed up bright and early the next morning. It first appeared the lock would have to be removed and sent to the shop as it is not one that could be generically replaced due to age and style but after a detailed inspection Frank was able to install a couple of parts and get things working better than ever. I received honest and courteous service from a real locksmith professional and highly recommend this business without hesitation.

Syosset Lock Shop saved the day for me! I had lost the 2nd remote key for my car (with lock/unlock capability) and needed to replace this key. Within 20 minutes, they were able to create a copy of car key with the remote! Most other shops had told me that I would need to leave the car for a few days, etc. (which was not an option). Thank you so much for so quickly providing your service. Also, Steve and the staff is extremely nice and pleasant. Highly recommend!

I called Steve on Tuesday and asked him about a zillion questions about changing my front door locks and slider lock. He took a lot of time on the phone with me and didnt excuse himself to speak to another customer until I was satisfied with all his answers. He made an appointment for the following Thursday and told me he would confirm on Wednesday... which he did.At promptly 8:00 am, Greg showed up to do the work I requested. He was professional, pleasant and very tidy! Greg was a perfectionist, not happy with his own work until it was up to his own high standards. When he was done, he cleaned up after himself and asked if there were any questions.I was extremely happy with the work done by Syosset Lock Shop and I will be happy to return to them for any of my other security needs in the future.

Good locksmith, if you can guess when theyre open. They have a 24-hour on-call service, but if you just need a key copied in the store or something, youll have to rely on the sign on their door for their hours, which can mean making 2 trips here for one thing.

Very poor customer service. I dont normally write reviews, but was annoyed enough at the smug counter clerk to write this.I brought my friend who is renovating his house and was looking for a particular Baldwin lock to install in all of his bedrooms. Having passed by the store a few times, I recommended that we stop by and take a look.My friend quite likes the particular Baldwin design and was pretty set on his choice. despite having several copies of the Baldwin catalog on hand, the clerk starts explaining to us how Baldwin locks are garbage, and starts pushing the stuff they have on display, expected, so no big deal, we politely turned down the clerks suggestion to go with the brand on display which had no design even remotely similar.The clerk then claims hed never seen such a design, that it didnt make sense. So we pull up the website and show him the exact lock and SKU number the counter person claimed did not exist.I then flip a few pages in the catalog he provided and find the exact lock we wanted and showing it to him, the counter person turned around without saying a word proceeded to help the next customer get a key made, keeping his back to us. We waited patiently till he finished, whereupon he tried to ignore us again. If it was just me, I would have left then, but my friend really wanted this model.I proceeded to ask if he could order the lock for us. At first the clerk says it will take two weeks and asked how many we would like, I said 2 at first as we wanted to try it first and adjust if necessary before buying the quantity we needed. Apparently 2 locks wasnt enough to interest the clerk, who proceeded to then tell us the lock was not available, without even calling or checking. Apparently $575 per lock (per their catalog) wasnt enough to interest the clerk.I never worked so hard to try and spend $1,150 before.We wound up driving to a locksmith in Huntington, found a place that actually made a three minute call, confirmed the product was available, ordered it expedited and will install it when it arrives next week.If you dont carry what the customer wants, just say so and dont waste peoples time.If you do carry it, but cant be bothered making an $1,150+ sale and rather just make copies of keys, just say so.From the pictures, I can see I was not dealing with the owner, but if you employ people who know nothing about customer service and have these types of people representing your business, its a shame, you are missing out.

Great and cheap place to get keys and locks

Best service ever!! We needed to make copies of keys on a Sunday and did not want to go to a key machine because of bad experiences with those in the past. I googled locksmith near me and Syosset Lock Shop came up. We saw that it was listed on Google as open 24 hours, so we called to make sure before driving there. Mike, the owner, answered the phone and told us to come right in! The shop is not open on Sundays, but they are open for service 24 hours. For some reason he has not been able to fix it on Google. Mike provided some of the best customer service Ive received on Long Island! He cared enough to meet us at the shop and really just made our day!
