Hubby and I were looking for a local beer place with a decent selection and noticed this near my workplace. We left with lots of beer, two new stains (which are big and heavy enough to be used for home defense if needed), and a new favorite place to go in Tacoma for craft beers and fill growlers.Great prices, friendly staff, laid back atmosphere. It doesnt get better than that.

What a great selection of amazingness. And so delicious. Good atmosphere and staff was so knowledgeable.

One of the only places in town to find beer that isnt an IPA. Great atmosphere and staff that feels like their family. Usually playing some good tunes or surrounded by interesting conversation. Bartenders are helpful in making selections and the place just seems to have an all around good system.

I live in Tokyo now but I wanted to give a quick review! Pint Defiance is a great stop for great conversation and beer. Heres a quick picture of the vessel holding some scotch! I bought this glass last year and its been my go-to here ever since.I look forward to my eventual return to the PNW, and my return to Pint Defiance!

Went there yesterday to grab some beer. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable about beer. I asked for some recommendations and the bar tender showed me a ton of options and what made each unique. They carry a lot of specialty stuff you cant get any where else from breweries from all around the state/country. If youre tired of getting the same thing from the grocery store head over here to find something new and probably better than youre used to getting. Shop local as much as you can, so cool places like Pint Defiance can stay in business.

No TV, no video games, just a nice quiet pub atmosphere with tons of good beer to choose from. I dont really know why I love it so much but I do.

The beer was good! It was a bit of an odd location, the music was great but the area was very small and it was crowded and loud. I didn’t really enjoy the experience all that much but it is a cute place, I definitely recommend you try it for yourself.

First time coming in here. It is setup like CRFT beers in Auburn. A delicious variety of beers and ciders/meads. Single cans/bottles or 4-6packs of your choosing in the refrigerated units.

One of the best places in Tacoma to purchase or have a beer. They have a friendly, knowledgeable and engaging staff. They have a massive rotating selection of the newest beer releases as well as many favorites.

Really cant be beat for selection, quality, or atmosphere. Great spot to grab local recent releases at their freshest.

This place is my go to for odd local beers that I cant find in the supermarket. I drive down from Port Orchard just to pick up a few and end up leaving with a whole bunch more for my beer fridge. They have ordered beers that were on my wish list from PNW breweries. I wish I lived closer so I could stop in more frequently. The ever rotating beers on tap do not last long with all the frequent patrons and loyal customers. While I have never sat in to have a fresh cold beer from the tap, this is by far my favorite place to go to for when I want to buy a variety of beers. Theyve got a great selection of local beers from stouts to ciders. Buy one can or 20 different cans! All are reasonably priced from low end to higher end and are well displayed. Cant fi d what youre looking for, just ask. The staff has always been very helpful!

Im not from the area and had been wanting to stop by there for awhile. This trip didnt disappoint. I really enjoyed the Revision IPA I had on draft. Based on that knowledge Xander recommended a different similar style IPA in the can. I asked about a brewery that brewed sour styles which they didnt have but was recommended a different brewery he was stoked on which had awesome labels. I havent tried the beer yet but know Ill like them based on his knowledge. Im seriously not usually impressed with customer service, in fact Im quite hard on the service industry, therefore I was thrilled about how amazing Xander was. Keep it up guys.

This locally owned beer shop/tap room is a fun place to stop for a pint or select some great international or regional bottles. Ive found the staff knowledgeable and friendly when Ive been in here - the owners are so nice!The atmosphere is light and friendly and there are lots of good restaurants in this complex and nearby.Sometimes we stop for a beer before we go across the road to Narrows Bowl. Definitely worth a stop!!

Great line up and super friendly staff. I spent about $300 in bottles/cans while I was there as well and could have spent more but didnt want to go for broke. Definitely recommend if you want a nice modern atmosphere and a tasty beer. Be weary of parking though, super small lot!

Nice neighborhood tap and bottle shop. Staff working were both friendly. Lots of patrons and yet everyone was servered in short time. The selection of bottles and cans was very nice. Choices for any style of beer you like.

Great place to grab a drink with friends, really loved the atmosphere. Plenty of seating - and its comfortable too! The bartender came to our table to take orders which was great and not something I have seen much at bars without food service.Two problems that led me to rate 4 instead of 5: no real food options unless you get takeout from one of the nearby restaurants, and they have an uncorking fee for beers and ciders from the fridge, which seems a little silly. Havent run into that at other bars offering bottles or cans of beer and cider selections. But those are my only complaints, I will definitely be back.

Oh, if you like good beer, you absolutely must visit Pint Defiance in University Place. Bring your growler for excellent on tap offerings or don’t because their cold case canned and bottled selection is just about unparalleled in these here parts. Parking can be a bit cramped because this popular place is packed.

Love this place! They have lots of staff to help you out! A very cozy and popular place! You can bring food from outside and hang out and try all the many beer, cider and wine selections. We go the the poke place next door and bring the food in.

Fantastic place if you want to take some bottles to go or have a pint (or 3 or 5) on site. They also have many special events so it pays to follow them on social media. The taps are always very thoughtfully curated so youre sure to find something you like or maybe your new favorite.

Great place with tons of beer/cider/wine on tap and in freezers. Not a ton of seating, but honestly thats not too big of a deal. Its a little tucked away and hard to find, but that just makes it more special. Ill definitely be back!

A fantastic selection of brews on tap and a wall with close to if not more than 1000 choices of beer. They have good deals running throughout the week. While there really are no food options, there is enough nearby to make it work.

You wont find the selection like you will in Total Wine but what this place lacks in choices it more than makes up for in customer service and ambiance. All selections are hand picked so you wont have to worry about your choice being a dud. I definitely will be coming back to pick up some more beers in the near future.

Everyone that works here loves their job... The on taps are always changing... The coolers have amazing, hard to find brews... Come here every chance you get and bring your own food because they dont serve any! =)

My second time there. I felt as if I wasnt welcomed. Beer and people normally means unity. No one went out of their way to say HI.Cost more to drink the beer there than pay and go (last time it was the other way around). By no means am I saying they are bad. I hope my next time will be a friendlier visit.

My go to place to pick up beer now, their rotating tap selection always features at least a few to all local brewers so stopping in to fill up a growler is a must on weekends. It can get a little crowded but everyone seems really friendly and are happy to chat you up. All around great vibe from patrons and staff amd ive never left disappointed after taking a staff suggestion on what to drink.
