So I enjoyed poping in from time to time to pick up supplies but my last experience has turned me off from shopping here. Clearly the woman with the dreads had something going on. I asked her to recommend a good gell because I wanted to put my hair up in a ponytail. I told her had not used gell in over a year and I just wanted to get something new she said echo and I replied It flakes in my hair her response was, so buy what you use to by. Oh K...So now I get to the register and I wanted some nose rings. Now the counter is already on a platform and there are cases piled on cases so I asked her id like to see the nose pins she replied tell me what you want and Ill get it. The point is/was THERE 7FT HIGH I cant see what you have. Now that was my inner thought but she knew that. So with that I just told her never mind paid for my things and left the store.The point is when i come to shop im not going to engage with b.s. lifes to short for that.

Stopped in, was greeted promptly and an older lady was very patient assisting me with a few bundles of hair. It’s a huge store full of everything but I was quickly in & out. I will definitely return for more hair care needs.

Large store. Large selection of wigs. I didnt find what I was looking for, Aunt Jackie curling ice gel and a nice quality grey wig. My friend bought a blonde wig with small soft human like waves. It was reasonable price.

Saw online they opened at 8A. So I arrived at 8:09A. Only to find it closed and what appeared to be the owner in his car licking his fingers with no care in the world. I walked up to the entrance to confirm the store hours and it was 8A-8P.To the owner: Please update your hours if you can’t honor 8A-8P.

Ive gone here for many years. Same Management all of the years. Always well stocked. Brightly lit, and Always friendly staff waiting to helpful. Im serious about this. They walked me around until I found a product I wanted. But I didnt know the NAME OF. Not only did they help me but pleasantly so. They offer many brands and types of products to keep hair nice. As well as weave and wigs. Truly a pleasant place to shop for hair care products.

The wig selection was HORRIBLE LOOKED LIKE THEY HADNT LEFT THE 80S WHEN I WAS BORN and some of the wigs smelled so bad I couldnt take it... they would of got a good rating had I come for anything else..BUT I CAME FOR A WIG THEY NEED A WHOLE NEW WIG LINE UP IF THEY WANT WOMEN TO KEEP COMING IN THAT AREA

This Store does not take back Wigs that are faulty. I bought a brand new wig (Vanessa Romance Gray BEBEStyle# 3T280 for $39.99).I wore it home on 12/16/2017.I put the wig on today and I found there was a loose track.It is literally falling apart.I call the store and spoke to 2 people who both insist that under no circumstances will they exchange or give store credit. Now I had bought 2 wig from them that day. Paid $80.22. The other wig is fine. I had been wearing it.I am very disappointed that I went out of my way to go there. Ive had been going there for years. I live in St. Petersburg, over 25 miles away.After calling the store 3 time, before they answered the phone, I spoke to a the supervisor and asked if they will exchange my faulty wig and being told absolutely under no circumstances will they even exchange it... She even said a person was there on yesterday and for the same reason and denied her too.I was pissed off!I told them that my loyalty ends here. I am 63 years old and cant afford this loss. There store policy is not clear.Their receipt says no refund, only store credit no exchange, no return policy all items sales are final.WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?Well Ebony Beauty Supply has lost my service, Ill never do business with you ever again and I will share this experience every chance I get. You all making too Much Money to be so petty and wont guarantee there products. Look at what ever you purchase from them cause you will be stuck with their faulty Wigs especially!!!

This is my favorite beauty supply store. I drive clear cross town from Lutz/Keystone area to shop here. They always make me feel at home and the girls know their stuff!! Its good for me because I know nothing about hair weaves. Its always a win for me!

I love the quality of their salon care and organic hair products and their customer service is really good! Whenever Im in need of something I do take the trip to go there. Its cheaper and youve got the variety of options to choose from. My favorite place of all time ;) Id definitely recommend going there. By the way, if you ask the owner (Mr.Shin) hed sometimes give you discounts as well.

I bought 16 inch hair from Ebony Beauty Supply on Hillsborough yesterday. Before I left I asked the girl (Jessica) about the return policy & she said no cash backs, card only. Now, less than 24 hours later, I find 20 inch hair from somewhere else & I go back to the same girl for a return. Now she wants to lie and say Exchange Only. I was very, extremely polite for as long as possible. I told her that I would be a returning customer, if only she could stick to her word and be honorable. I also told her that she said something totally different yesterday. I literally asked her for her mercy in this one situation. She circled the bottom of the receipt saying its right here on the receipt. Umm, okay, then why did she tell me something totally different the day before? She wasnt circling anything on a receipt the day before. Ive worked in retail and I know that even if the store policy says no returns, its very possible if the customer is persistent and the situation requires it. When this wasnt getting anywhere, I asked to speak to her boss, she says I am the boss. I said okay, let me speak to the owner. Then she says I cant do that, thats why Im here. So now I cant speak to anyone above her either? At this point, its clear as day that she just wants to steal my money. I try spending my money at smaller businesses and supporting the community, but when they act ratchet and disrespectful, lie to the customers, and dont stick to their word it really makes me lose respect. I just want my money back on $100 hair that I will not be using. They definitely need new & honest employees if they want returning happy customers. In this case, I wont return until I get my money back & Ill make sure to spread the word about this horrible business.

The owner is RUDE and do NOT need to be in customer service at all! Ive been a loyal customer for almost 15 years! Never got treated in such a nasty manner like that. Do NOT go to this shop. Its not worth encountering the messy owner. STAY AWAY. Im taking my money and my business to Beauty/Ebony Depot down the street, where I will be appreciated and respected. SMH!!!

Black People dont get followed around the store here-- its wonderful. Love the staff and how they are with each other and Customers. The staff is mixed with Asians and African Americans. Smart business.

I can find a pretty natural lace front with human hair texture like .y own for a good $60 every once in a while. Plus the accessories are always cute and the staff very patient.

I agree parking is not the best but on top of that as a customer of 5 years they have me horrible customer service my last visit. Owner does not care about customers and straight ignored me when i called to ask about exchanging an item, there are plenty of great beauty supply stores out there so why throw away a loyal customer who refers people to you? Never again will i step foot in there and best believe others will be warned.

Their products are good but their customer service could use a lot of work. One girl behind the counter refused to come to another area of the store because that wasnt her department and recommended that I actually come back tomorrow because she could help me then as she was scheduled to work the floor. At the time, every other associate was assisting another customer. Really dude? They also should consider monitoring the songs that play in the store. One song was really inappropriate and had nothing but loud moaning sounds all throughout. Made it uncomfortable to shop.If you can look past all that then this place is great -_-

This hair store sucks i was there for 10 mins no one greeted me i needed help wasnt a worker around the store was crowed with boxes couldnt barely walk through the aisles i WILL NOT be returning 👎

The customer service is awful! Theres a rack in the store that clearly states buy one get one half off! My daughter and I both discussed this prior to going to the counter (upon which the sales person heard us state this fact)! Get to the counter and you would think the cashier would have been informed, instead the guy proceeds to charge me the full price for both! I said you those are buy one get one free? One staff behind me says, those are only on the ones thats $29.99 (which is what I had), then other says at the same time the first girl was speaking (those are only for the ones on the top shelf)! Bottom line, the both stories were inconsistent, and the guy refused to give me the managers name, refused to sale at the price indicated, after my dissatisfaction he decides to give me (10% off one item)! Im contacting the Attorney Generals Office and the BBB to file a complaint! They all were very rude, the females are all rachet and straight out of the hood! Apparently they are closed minded and presume all people are in one class!

This use to be the hair supply store for all your hair shopping needs back in the day! Ebony in Tampa you werent somebody unless you were purchasing your hair care products from here. However, as of late the price for the low quality of hair choice have lowered my confidence in continuing on making this store my #1 hair store.

I would shop here if I needed something badly, but I wouldnt recommend it otherwise. The parking lot is horrible. I bought an item and wanted to swap it for a similar item that was in a spray form, even cheaper and was not allowed to do so with both receipts and price sticker in tact a day later. The salesman told me he couldnt accept it because it was a chemical, which it wasnt, and because it could have turned and take someones hair out.From now on, I will shop at classier establishments, or just order what I need from an online vendor.
