Staff friendly and helpful. They have a great showroom with lots of granite, marble & quartz slabs to see in their indoor showroom.

Upon arrival we checked in and waited for an associate to walk us through the warehouse. As she was practically sprinting through the aisles of stone, explaining the types of stone etc while walking in front of us. We could barely hear her much less have time to stop and look. It was extremely impersonal and felt rushed. Simply based off of that, I wouldn’t purchase from the company. Need to work on their customer service.

We went to several stone suppliers and had the BEST experience at UMI Stone. I would highly recommend going there, as they have a very large collection and are very knowledgeable. Shelby M, was so helpful and had so much patience with all of our questions about the different stones. Once we narrowed it down to our final favorite choices, she even helped us make sure it matched with our kitchen countertops and sink choices! I would recommend asking for Shelby when going there because she was Great!!

Tricia Maloney, Christine Darin, and the rest of the UMI team are an amazing group of people to work with. We regularly rely on them to supply material to our job sites, they deliver on-time and and in good order.  We really appreciate the peace of mind that brings.

Tricia Maloney and her team are the best. Their showroom is beautiful and the selection is amazing. They are also very nice to deal with - which I appreciate in this business. Sometime these high end places can be snobby but that is not the case at UMI. Check them out - you will be impressed.

We came to UMI following the advice of our estimator to look at quartz slabs. Irina OBrien showed us the quartz slab we were interested in and briefed us in detail on the material, its origin and uses. After my wife explained that we were planning to paint our cabinets, Irina showed us several samples of different colors and was of immense help to us. We then had a lengthy conversation on our plans to remodel our kitchen.Thanks to Irina, we plan to buy our quartz at UMI. She was invaluable in helping us make our decision. Irina is knowledgeable, positive and most helpful and we appreciate her interest in us. Recommend that you stop at UMI if you are in the market for stone countertops and ask for Irina!

The UMI warehouse is very impressive at their Tampa location. They have a wide selection of materials, and many colors and variants of each material. I would recommend getting Tricia to help you as she is very knowledgeable on all of their products and walked me through the pros and cons of each material.

Mitchelle, Elaine, Julie, Christine, and all the staff are extremely helpful and customer service oriented! I am the design consultant for a local fabricator, so I call in or stop in to their location quite often with questions or to view material. They are always so accommodating and helpful, not only to me, but I feel confident sending my clients to them as well. If you are on the search for great selection and great customer service, take a trip to see them!

We were sent here by our installer to pick out our stone after no luck at a neighboring stone warehouse. Irina was wonderful, we have been here 3 times now and she has helped us every step of the way. The iPad she carried around had locations and quantities which made pinpointing what we wanted easy.

I parked my car next to one of their employees car who was just about to get into her car. It was awkward for me as she graciously and patiently waited. Then I got out of the car and she welcomed me in such a way that couldnt imagine shopping anywhere else. Her name was Tricia Maloney. She walked me to the building, opened the door and held it for me. My experience was similar while inside their showroom - which had a large selection and hundreds of slabs in the back. These are nice people with a huge inventory.I highly recommend UMI if selection, price and doing business with good people are important to you.

We spent about an hour with Mitcheile Salcedo looking for 2 slabs of granite. She was able to show us slabs that met our needs. Very easy to work with and she had good inventory knowledge.

They did a great job with the follow up between myself and my fabricator.

We went on a Saturday early morning, they were very friendly, helpful, went out of their way to move stuff around so we could see different slabs. They have a very nice showroom, and a nice large selection to choose from.

I just want to say that Irina is the reason I keep coming to Umi for all my countertop needs. She is very informative, pleasant and understanding. Everytime I visit with a client, she takes her time and makes them feel very welcomed. There may be a lot of stone yards in the Tampa area but I assure everyone that UMI is the absolute best!

So my wife and I set out on this journey driving from Lakeland to Tampa on the way we received a call from our installer and gave us 2 places to go to pick out the materials for our bathroom countertops. UMI was one of them we had already been disappointed by Home Depot and Lowe’s and a few small places in Lakeland. When we were driving to UMI we passed by several other stone suppliers. We decided to go to them after we stopped at UMI.When we walked into UMI we were greeted quickly by a very personable young lady her name was Irina. She spoke to us for a few minutes and said she new what we were looking for which is good because the selection is Huge. She was very knowledgeable and patient and helped us make a great decision. Irina is definitely an asset.So we have been to over 7 places and have not met anyone who is as good at her job as this young lady. Take good care of her!Tom & Leslie

Jim the manager at UMI is very unprofessional. When it comes to a company that has been dealing with UMI for 16years we have always bought from UMI and now the current manager at UMI which is Jim is very rude not polite at all. He doesnt care about his customers he only cares about making the sale. These are his exact words he will go over the limit just to make a sale. He overstepped his boundaries and sold to a customer of ours. I would not recommend this warehouse to anybody.
