Just completed our open water diving certification today. Matt was amazing. We are very new and he was very helpful in picking out the right gear for each of us. The classes were very educational and during the dives he was very patient and made sure each diver was comfortable with the skill just performed before moving to the next skill. I highly reccomend Gulf Coast Divers for the best diving experience. I look forward to future classes and dive trips with Gulf Coast Divers.

I cant say good enough things about the owner and instructor Matt and instructor Travis. 2 of the most skilled and awesome individuals who genuinely treat you as the most important person who has walked through their doors. Their focus on safety and attention so you learn the skills you need is second to none. They have all of the equipment you need priced right and their knowledge of its operation is phenomenal. During our open water dive it was apparent to us that we had the best instructors on the river and it was nice that they had a good spirit and sense of humor to go along with it. I would not hesitate to send all my family and friends here.

I worked with both Julie and Travis. They were amazing. They are divers and have a wealth of knowledge. Travis went out if his way to get me prepped for an upcoming adventure. I visited many other dive shops and they were the most down to earth, helpful people I met. I highly recommend visiting this dive shop.

My girlfriend and I came in to get her very first mask, snorkel, fins and dive boots. The two men who helped us were incredibly knowledgeable and kind. It was obvious that they shared our excitement. Will definitely be back if we’re ever in the Tampa area. HIGHLY recommend!

This scuba shop is the best ever! Great service, knowledgeable instructors, and all the best names in scuba equipment. They do a great job servicing my gear every year too. I have been on several dive trips with this shop and have met some really great people that have become some of my best friends.

Ive dove with Travis a few times over the past few years. He knows his stuff really well and is super helpful - whether it be with picking out gear, putting together trips, etc. He helped SCUBA certify my little brother and we recently went on a Keys dive trip with him. It was a great trip, as always! Love doing trips with him, and wish I still lived in Tampa to utilize the shop more often. Travis and Ron are the best! My husband and I have been training and diving with Travis for several years now and it has set us on a great path of diving! He is extremely well versed in the gear you need to have the best experience possible. His years of experience put me at ease when I was nervous and he took the time to make sure I was comfortable and prepared. We have gone on several of his trips to Key largo and to West Palm where he taught us drift diving! As matter of fact, last weekend we went with him and a really great group of other divers he has trained to Key Largo for an amazing dive weekend on the Heavy metal tour! Excellent trip as always!

Learning to scuba with Gulf Coast Divers was seriously a marvelous experience. I learned a ton of information about diving and now feel very comfortable in the water. I am currently getting certified for open water. I couldnt have asked for a better instructor than Travis. I was struggling in the pool sessions and he took the extra time in the pool to make sure I was ready for the open water sessions. He understands that not every diver learns at the same rate. My 11 year old son just took his scuba certification with Gulf Coast Dives, LLC via a private lesson. It could not have been a better experience!! We travelled from out of state so everything was provided by the shop. Flat rate, no extras charges anywhere! The multiple shops I contacted kept adding more & more charges until it was no longer less expensive, no longer private and used up all our vacation days. Gulf Coast was a completely private lesson. My son had 100% attention of his instructor. Lesson went at the students pace. My son was certified in 2 days & certification card uploaded on line by Travis within minutes. Headed for wonderful underwater adventures the next day!! If you want it done right with the best experience available, Gulf Coast Dives and Travis Meyers will do it for you!

Ive been doing business with these guys for the past 5 years. Before as Macs Sports and now as Gulf Coast Divers. They have always been friendly and helpful. I bought a full ScubaPro setup along with several steel and aluminum tanks and I couldnt be happier with the quality of the gear and the service that came with it.

I went on a dive trip with them and when I got to the store, they told me they had no more regs and tanks and bcs left. Instead, they gave me a 30% discount and made me piggyback off the instructers spare emergency octopus. I was getting dragged around for 23 minutes. When we got back on the surface, they made all of the paying customers ( including me ) paddle the boat back because the Captain said he wanted to save money on gas costs. What an experience. Dive on your own will!

If youre thinking of learning scuba, this is definitely the shop to go to. Travis and Ron are great guys, if you have questions, they take time to answer them and make you feel comfortable, they dont try to push you to buy unnecessary equipment just to make a buck. Drew and Gina are great too, I was nervous in the pool session, because this was all new to me, but they explained everything to me and made sure I truly understood what I was doing. Afterwards I really started enjoying myself. Hudson Grotto was definitely different, but once again they took time to explain things to me, then it was a good experience. Then Rainbow River, if youve never been, you need to put it on your bucketlist. That was a truly a beautiful experience!!! Thanks to ALL you guys at gulfcoast divers, youve given me the chance to explore places I would never thought I could reach.Earths Last Frontier!!!!!!

Travis was awesome. Took us to rainbow river and had a blast. He made sure EVERYONE was comfortable during class and is very involved. Some teachers just throw u out the nest but he makes sure ur safety and comfort diving is num.1 befor he continues. Very amazing time with the only teacher I would choose.

I got my open water certification with gulf coast divers. It was a amazing eductional and fun experience. I learned a lot more then I thought I would. My first interation was with Ron who got me all set up with my snorkaling gear. He spent plenty of time informing about the gear and saying what to look for in it. I took my class with Travis. He made the class enjoyable was able to learn a lot from him in his years of experience as a diver. Definitely looking foward to going on one of there many dive trips. I highly recommend doing a class with Gulf Coast Divers!
