Highly recommend. Honest and trustworthy, Andres was very friendly and accommodating. We dropped a vehicle one evening, had a response promptly the next morning. He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, as we ended up having to haul the truck back to a Houston.

A wheel on my Subaru Outback was making a terrible squealing noise, so I had the car towed to Taos Garage at the recommendation of a friend. It ended up being a rock lodged between the brake rotor and pad. Andres took care of it right away, so we could have the car back the same day. Super honest, unbelievably good value, very quick, and really nice. Highly recommended.

Had an issue with screechy metal sound whenever I turned, wasn’t sure if it was a rock in rotor or something more serious. They were able to quickly determine it was a misaligned piece of my brake / rotor and had me on my way in a jiff. Very friendly and kind, would recommend!

This place was absolutely amazing, they were fast to react and fix the problem, and they were understanding of our emergency and took us in right away. If I am ever in Taos again having car problems I know where My first choice spot is.

What a find! These guys rock. Not only did they diagnose the problem quickly after my truck was towed in, they fixed it quickly - the same day - and at an affordable price. Hector even did a quick check of the other systems just to make sure all was good. No BS or up selling. They were recommended to me and I’m recommending to others. You couldn’t find more professional and honest garage service in town. Taos Garage won’t disappoint.

We just moved to Taos and my low coolant light came on and because I was worried about the engine I needed someone to see it asap. Our realtor had given me Metric motors but they were super busy so I looked at good reviews for Taos garage and when I called the guy who answered Andres said they could work on Landrovers. I brought it in and he popped the hood took a look inside and said oh, right there I can see its your radiator thats the problem. I got a quote for 1350.00 and in about a week my car was done for pickup. As I was driving home that same day I noticed the low coolant light had come back on and I called Andres, he said it was probably just a censor or maybe they didnt top off the coolant when they put in the new radiator ( which seemed odd but ok ) I added some coolant and then had to leave town for a few days. When I got back I drove it to town and was going to drop it off to Taos garage when I noticed a red light on the dash flashing and my heat gage go straight up, I panicked and pulled over on the side of the road as my car was making strange noises and I called Andres. I was frazzled and I told him the problem and asked why this was happening since we just put in a new radiator.. he got super defensive with me, actually he got rude with me. He said it could be the hose and I asked why didnt he check the hoses when he put in a new radiator? I asked why he didnt do a pressure test from the start so we would know what the real issue was..that set him off and he said because I didnt ask him too? seriously? I said you are the mechanic not me, I have no idea what we needed to do other than here is the issue. All I really needed was for the guy to stand behind his work, say we can figure it, ...he said have it towed here and I will look at it. Thats what I did ( at a 140.00 tow expense ) he called me the next day to say the hoses were bad and proceeded to argue with me, telling me it was going to be another grand and when I asked why the hoses were never changed/ or checked in the first place he told me to come get my car he refused to work on it. Just the most unprofessional person I have dealt with honestly. I took the car that day to Metric motors and it was the best thing I could have done. These guys are so professional, they take photos of the work while they are doing it, note everything they do, show you all the bad parts etc, they even have a 2 year warranty and it can be used out of state if anything they repaired breaks...that is standing by your work.. They are super nice . I think Andres night be good for certain types of cars so maybe the problem was he was over his head and cut some corners when diagnosing the problem. Im a low conflict person but sometimes you have to stand up for yourself and this is an honest review of my experience. I will add images Metric motors took of the hoses that were shot and how they couldnt see that is beyond me.

As being someone who frequently has car troubles this is the only place I will ever bring my car. Their quick, smart, and work as a good team. They charge Half as much as other auto places and are extremely friendly and understanding for nearly any situation.I have a friend who couldn’t get on the road from a vacation trip, and he did a diagnostic test and told us exactly what’s wrong and offered to help with the towing process. He did a tremendous job and a well deserved tip. Very great full for everything he’s done.

Andreas was very helpful as we are from Texas and here on vacation. Our truck broke down and we had to have it towed to another mechanic shop who didn’t even give us a real answer for basically 2 Days. Someone recommended Taos Garage so we ended up taking it to there and Andreas had an answer for us in less than 2 hrs and since we had already paid someone else he wasn’t going to charge us anything for the diagnosis. Our SUV broke down just before leaving Taos to drive home to Oklahoma. Taos Garage looked at our vehicle immediately when no other shop would. They fixed it with haste and were extremely friendly. We highly recommend this place.

I have a 2016 F150 and this is the ONLY place I will take my truck in Taos. Andreas was professional, polite, responsive, and honest. As an example - he incidentally found a leak in my AC compressor while working on another issue. I had to take my truck to the dealership in Santa Fe anyways, so he recommended I get a quote for compressor replacement while there, and he would beat it. They said $1700. Andreas came back at $1000. He ordered the compressor for me, and a few days later while my truck was in the shop, he called me and said that the issue was in fact NOT the compressor, which was fine, but just an issue with an O-ring. Wound up only being a $550 repair. Any other shop, including the dealership, would have absolutely gone ahead with replacing the compressor, and I wouldnt have known any differently. You can trust these guys.

Took my truck there for some work. Took them 2 weeks to remember it was sitting in their lot, they almost lost the keys to the truck, and fried my batteries. Then they placed the blame on the customer and threatened to have my vehicle towed. WORST EXPERIENCE. I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.
