Quaint little shop/wine bar. Has a ton of really cute wine accessories/signs. Has been pretty busy the last couple times Ive been there which is really nice to see after the pandemic.
My wife and I made a quick stop off here during our first visit to the Sponge Docks. It’s pretty cool that they have a wine bar, although my wife and I didn’t stop off to have any wine. The wine bar is kind of secluded, so not sure if they ever get a lot of business. In the store portion, they have a small selection of wines. Here’s where I’m confused. If they only carry wines that are carried by Publix and larger wine stores, why buy wine here at a higher price. Maybe an out of town tourist who is visiting and grabs a bottle that they will have that night would be enticed but not the average local person. I would have been very impressed if they carried some local wines that weren’t as readily available elsewhere. They do have some wine glasses that were decorated by a local artist but that’s not my cup of tea (or glass of wine) either. This is a store I won’t be visiting again when I visit the Docks. There’s just no reason to. I wasn’t there long enough to talk to the staff. No one said hi, which is okay.I’m sure some love this store for their own reasons. You may too, but I obviously didn’t.
I had a awesome experience! Cant wait to go back.
Great stop when at the spine docks. Be sure to get a drink at bar after tasting your fill.
Warm welcome as soon as my girlfriend and I came in for a quick beer. The place is exceptionally nice inside and super clean. The lady was super nice that served us and was very attentive considering she was trying to set up for a wine walk they were having that afternoon. All in all, great place, really good beer and lots of wines to choose from. Absolutely suggest stopping by and checking out the inside and have a drink for the sake of it!!
Excellent wine shop!!
My first time here and it was amazing. Very friendly, clean and great decor. Was able to sample wines then sit at the bar and have a drink. There was live music out side the entrance and it was nice to listen too. The prices were reasonable and I will definitely be back again. I would recommend.
Went into this place today and was turned around in less than 2 seconds. I understand if food/drink (in this case my ice cream cone) isn’t allowed in the shop but there’s a nicer way to tell someone that. I’m fine though - saved money that I had planned on spending there today and will be taking my business elsewhere. Just a suggestion, but maybe staff should take a class on how to treat potential customers.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. If I could give zero stars I would. While the wine selection is good the staff is extremely rude. My boyfriend and I came here with our out of town friends and we were ignored as soon as we walked in; when the bartender finally got around to us she spoke in a curt and rude tone. If you are between the ages of 21-29 do not go to this bar. They have something against young people and it’s extremely obvious. Every patron was treated with great customer service except for us. The level of customer service here is atrocious.
Incredibly rude. We were getting ready to enjoy some fudge bought next door and sat at the outdoor tables in front of this place, the owner came rushing out asking in a very hostile tone, can I get you something to drink while youre sitting at MY tables? We were going to come back to have a drink towards the end of our time, but will not return and do not recommend anyone visit here.
Great time with great friends. People in the shops were awesome good wine and appetizers. The people in the wine shop at the starting point need to be more friendly.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Twice now I have been here with my girlfriend. Both times the customer service was absolutely horrible. While waiting to get attention for the check out counter the lady completely ignored us and then walked up and helped the people next to us. Once she finally helped us we asked if we could sit at the bar. She then told us “i guess but you have to be 21” with a nasty attitude when we are both obviously of age. After getting a drink and looking around we tried to buy something, but the lady wouldn’t come to the counter to check us out. We ended up leaving with nothing. Twice now the same lady at the front had been rude and ignored us both times. We thought the first time she was having a bad day now our second time in here and she acts like we don’t exist while trying to get help. We will NEVER be back.
Sadly, I can’t give it zero stars.... this place is awful. The owners are completely anti-children, even children who are just stopping in to purchase a bobbing head turtle. I highly recommend no one go to this establishment.
Place was awesome
Good selection and nice people. Fun to sit on sidewalk with a glass and people watch! Back for the year. Same great place! Nice people & good wine!
Horrible, horrible service. Take your money to someone that will at least pretend to be thankful you are spending your money in their shop. Never again. There are too many other good places to visit.
Love this place! Its hidden away neat the end of the sponge docks, Dodecanese Blvd. Very upscale beautiful place. great place to meet your friends for Friday (or any day) Happy Hour.
Very nice place to go and get local wine. The lady there was very helpful and very nice.
Awesome little stop along a very busy street. Live music and very friendly atmosphere.
Wine bar, tastings daily and wine store. Love the selection. Perfect to relax indoors or outside and have a glass of wine & cold beer!
Ok,here is my problem with this place! Yes they have a good selection of wine but the customer service is horrible and to me customer service is everything. We have now been to this establishment twice...the first time I let it slide without writing a review because I thought maybe the employee was having a bad day....this is now the second time I have come to this business where the female employee has refused to provide me with service because she didnt feel that I was old enough to be in the store. I passed the legal drinking age 5 years ago honey....Im legal. The employee with long brown hair gave us the dirtiest look when first walking in the door, we then stood in line to try the wine tasting, she then proceeded to ignore us all together and begin to serve the customers behind us. I am furious! We are locals and frequent Tarpon Springs. I have to say I will never come to this place of business again.
I am a very understanding person and I know working retail that mistakes happen or you can have a bad day, but I am beyond hurt by the way I was treated here by the lady who works in front. I was very dehydrated walking around for a long time trying to find my mother and aunt who had my purse with my husbands wallet in it. We really had no choice but to ask if they had some water for us and promised to pay back. We maybe younger and not dressed with jewels and a fancy Rolex watch, but definitely do not look homeless. I know there is protocol with giving a free water bottle and she saying no wasn’t what bothered me, but the way she looked at me like I was a beggar even though I was flushed in the face. I passed out and next door a wonderful store called ‘sweets and treats’ helped me with some food to get sugar in me and politely showed me where a water fountain was and a young man at Hellas gave me a big cup of water and didn’t except my money once I got my purse. Well, both places will be getting a large tip tomorrow. My husband went back to tell the lady what happened to me and he told me that she was still very rude. I wouldn’t say that is a wise choice because he does happen to know many people in the Tarpon area and a few important people in the community including Chris Alahouzos. I know he can easily advise people to not visit there being friends with my hubby. Not the best choice to be rude to someone who has little empathy towards a woman who knows afterwards she passed out from not having water. I’ll go ahead and agree to the one star though because I’m sure the wine is good. I guess I should have asked for a sample of wine instead and would have had better service.
Nice spot with a great selection & very friendly staff.
Such a fun place to sit and drink. The owners are the best!
Check out their sponsored wine walks - so much fun
Very accommodating and has a selection. free wine tasting without feeling rushed or limited
Great wine selections, friendly staff, great gift ideas, wine tasting too! Sit down inside or outside and sip the time away...
My favorite part of the Docks! Great wine, comfortable people watching.
Friendly & a great experience!
Nice wine selection. Free wine tastings and Prosecco on draft.
Great place to taste some wine and also to take home some local wine
The old ladies at the bar does not like hispanic people. At least that is my experience today with one of them. She said to me when I paid you write your name different to confuse us. I said No maam is just cultural.
Enjoying a slow afternoon, (lack of) people watching and having a beer.
Great relaxing atmosphere and music!
Nice stopping place
Its wine what more can I say
Just touristy, but not bad
Very cool place
RUDE!!!! Terrible service!
Awesome!
