It gets extremely busy and paying for your items can be a bit harrowing. But they have really cool gifts. Everything from sun dresses to metal statues of Greek gods, and definitely stuff for the kids too. Prices are a little steep but there are still good deals to be found, just have to hunt.
Beautiful store with much variety to choose from. I especially loved the goat milk soaps: Gardenia and Peach made my luggage smell heavenly for the flight home.
Beautiful store! They have an abundance of souvenirs, clothing and various soaps imported from Greece all of which are amazing quality. This was my first time here and definitely will be back. Friendly owner and staff as well :)
I couldnt be more delighted with this store and its people! The people are warm hearted and the prices are fair! We were treated like we were valued! I asked the man about paying for the parking and he said it was free because I bought over $30.00 of souvineers. I would highly suggest this store to everyone!
One of my favorite shops in the sponge docks. I love their dresses and outfits, they always have something new and fashionable. They also carry masks with fun designs! Highly recommend.
I enjoy shopping at this little gem on the historic Spongedocks. They have a wide variety of merchandise including items to commemorate your visit there. Clothing, soaps, shells, statuary, greeting cards and much more.
I go for the shells, which they have an abundance of for a decent price. The aisles are very narrow, though, and not suitable for a wheelchair. Another problem with the place is that they literally follow you. Every time Ive been there, a woman pops out and follows me, talking. She seems nice enough, but it makes it hard to shop -- plus getting close enough to touch my arm isnt pleasant or safe at the moment with Covid. It also isnt pleasant to know she suspects me (and everyone else -- she seems to be everywhere at once) of shoplifting. Again with Covid around, the cashier was not wearing a mask despite mandates (and safety of his customers.) They also charge a credit/debit card fee (non-cash) that they dont tell you about. Theres no refunds, only exchanges. After being at checkout, I decided I was not going there again. There are other places to find affordable shells, so my advice: keep looking around.
We went shopping at the docks and walked through all the stores and found that they were the least expensive so we went back and bought a few things. We got home after a day at the beach, and noticed we were missing the most important bag. After reading these reviews I was concerned we were going to have problems but our bag was sitting behind the counter waiting for us to claim it. They were very courteous and we had no problem with them. I would shop there again next time Im in town.Happy Customer
My favorite shop at the sponge docks! Has pretty much everything the other stores have, but more, and some really cute clothes!
Great prices, parking lot in the back with a great water view. Alot greek items and souvenirs. t-shirts and dresses for all ages.
I visited in August 2020, and the store has an amazing amount of homemade soaps and sea sponges. Store was clean and the young lady at the register was polite and efficient. Next time in Tarpon Springs I’ll definitely stop in again for more soap.
Such great customer service always so helpful and friendly
Amazing shop in a beautiful area! Right on the water with tables outside and a cool inside to shop. There is such a variety of gifts and shells I want them all! Best prices for the quality of shells compared to any other place on the block. Definitely my go to place
My family and I did a little shopping here, after going on the Odyssey boat tour. The older lady at the counter spoke little English, but was very nice. I asked to see some art that was in the window, and she motioned to another store employee to come help. He was very nice and told me a lot about the way they process the olive wood, and types of oil paints that were used. This is directly from my country!! Made in Greece he said with much pride. Besides the typical post cards, sea shells, and souvenir shot glasses, I purchased 3 large wood block paintings, and they gave my 3 daughters a pair of shell earrings as a complimentary gift, I guess for such a large purchase. It could be because I bought a lot, that they were so nice... But then again, Ive shopped at other international places (and paid more) and was treated with contempt just for being American. So, in my opinion, if Im spending that much in your shop, I appreciate you showing some gratitude and good old-fashioned kiss ass customer service lol. Happy with my experience.
I love their soaps. I wish I could buy them online instead of having to buy a dozen bars each time I visit. Definitely a cute store with unusual things to buy, but I especially like their Olive Oil Egyptian Musk blue bars of soap! Great smell.
BUYER BEWARE..... While we were at the sponge docks, earlier this month, we stopped in this shop to buy these sandals. My girlfriend took a pair from the rack outside to ask for a pair in her size. All seemed fine and they fit. Two weeks later she puts them on (to wear for the first time) as we were going back to the docks for a day of fun. She walked across the house and walked right out of them! Obviously we took them with us to exchange, or refund depending on the response received. The older lady at the counter acts clueless and says, “talk to manager. He is not here now. You call him.” So my girlfriend called him this morning. Being very polite she explained what happened. The manager became rude and accused her of abusing the sandals. As you can see (the black sandals with colorful stones in photos) they are brand new and never worn. He also said, “glue them. I don’t do exchanges or refunds. That is not how I operate!” So, I am out $25 and that is not even the point. Nothing but cheap, touristy trinkets in this place..... and have you seen the prices on some of these figures in the window? You are a fool if you give any amount of money to this shop.
Super cute gifts at great prices! I always stop in this store to find gifts for family and friends when Im in the area and usually find something for myself too! Highly recommend!!!
Love this place! Always stop in when Im down at the docs. Love my squid hat!🦑🦑
This spot had all sorts of knick knacks. They had plenty of different shells, windchimes, clothing, jewelry and many more things. Its the perfect spot for all your local gift hunting too.
Went here with a friend a couple days ago and was really annoyed to find a female employee (could be the owner I dont know) FOLLOWING US around the store giving us the stink eye; never felt more uncomfortable shopping anywhere before. This is truly shameful! No one wants to steal your soups and sponges, come on now...:/ Spent my money across the street where the service was friendly and helpful! I would never recommend this place to anyone; spend your dollars else where people!
Best selection and price for collectibles, beach necessities, and jewelry on the sponge docks!
One employee followed me around the store telling me I was to fat to wear their clothes and to put them back. I have a four month old baby and I am still in the process of losing some of the extra weight and having this lady follow me around telling me I need an xxl and they dont carry that size in that store made me feel horrible!!!! I am 57 and weigh 165 I wear a large size in tops not a xxl like she was trying to tell me. I just wanted a top that was cute and easy to nurse in but that didnt happen I went to the dollar store instead and got two shirts and a dress all size large for $23 which is the price of one top/dress here
Customer service was awful. Owner was rude and had an attitude.
Cute little Greek gift shop
