I have been with Verizon for years, recently they absolutely scammed me and have left me hanging and down more than 2 thousand dollars for over a month now with no correspondence beyond a text from an employee who said its on them and it will be fixed within a week. Here we were two weeks later. My trade in was supposed to give me 800 towards a new android. Used that towards a 1200 dollar s21(1200-800=400 paid down monthly)Weeks later I got no trade in credit, I followed up with no response other than we will figure it out. Then a month and a half later I receive a charge for 1200 dollars (the full s21 phone cost) still no 800 credit. Verizon claims I broke my contract by not activating my new phone buy idk what That means, my Verizon app has known my phone switch to s21since day 1. After asking an employee they were very confused and said theyd get me answers. 2 weeks later nothing. Now I get hit with a 200 dollar device payment buyout charge. So there is a charge for paying off your phone early? Thing is I was forced to pay it off early because of their mistake.After being with Verizon for 7plus years I am appalled at them scamming me out of my old phones value and then forcible charging me full cost of new phone and then punishing me for that.I am down 2200 dollars and they effectively stole my s10 trade in. What is this a scam?

For some time I have attempted to close down and settle my deceased fathers Verizon account. I was told by an employee at the Rural and Baseline Verizon to go to the Tempe Marketplace location and that they would be open until 7PM. It took me some time to locate the Verizon store in that sprawling complex, and when I did the door was locked. The person inside simply pointed to the sign on the door saying that they closed at 6PM. According to my cell phone it was 6:03PM. I work in a small shop, and when someone comes at or near closing time you either try to help them or politely explain why you cant. You dont ignore them, for that shows a complete indifference to customer service. Quite honestly, I wouldnt purchase anything from the people who run this shop.

Matthew the manager is a rude condescending person who should not be dealing with the public. He has the immaturity of a little girl. He screamed at me dont call me young man - Im a woman in he 60s just trying to get his attention. He struts around the store acting very self important and above talking to me. Finally comes over what is it he says very rudely. He already knew from his employee. My problem with a charge could have been helped with a quick call to customer service but he never suggested that. Told me to go to a store over an hour away as the service originated there. I called customer service instead - fixed. But a terrible experience in your store is an understatement.To the owner of this store, - I see another complaint on here that he was rude and clapped his hands in the customers face. And you keep him?This is not who you want representing a good company like Verizon. Hopefully you will recognize that this guy is an eventual big liability to you because of his damaged ego or whatever. Im escalating this experience to Company level

Tempe Marketplace location has excellent service, with a smile. I am SO grateful for their help & attentive listening abilities. Sadly, I forgot the guys name who helped me but tge manager, Greg, also got involved & I walked out a happy relieved customer. SO happy to be a loyal Verizon customer. My nearby Verizon location in south Scottsdale closed so I ventured here. SO glad I did.

Horrible staff. I was looking to buy a new phone and I was turned away because they “close in 40 minutes”. Never been turned away to make a purchase before. The guy working there watched me walk up to the door from across the parking because he is just so busy! They are apparently “understaffed” with no customers inside. Not impressed with Verizon’s service anyway. Enough to make me switch to T Mobile. Noticing the previous reviews match my troubles as the owner responds.. what a joke! Neither employee was wearing a mask. You aren’t fooling anyone. Quit trying to find reasons to close early and not work!

This Verizon store is great, I am always helped out to the best of my needs. It is sometimes busy but the wait moves fast. And there is a lot of cool phones and accessories to check out while you wait. The store is clean and the customer service is impeccable, Brando usually helps me out and he is top class every time. Experienced and professional. I will continue to visit this store for all our wireless needs. Two thumbs up!!

Unfortunately, the girl that checked us in told us our transfer of service could be handled in the store and after waiting for over an hour, the couldnt. Very disappointed 😞

Wanted to report spammers pretending to be Verizon and they said not necessary. My phone will not automatically turn my home WiFi on even though I have it set to do that....no help with that issue either. Verizon at theTempe Marketplace in Arizona was not very helpful. 😒

Dude who works at Verizon traded in my cracked iPhone XS for $700. Promised my bill would decrease by $10, and it ended up increasing a significant amount. It’s taken many calls to Verizon to reach a resolution, kind of surprised. It feels like dude was not honest with me

The assistant managers and rep who tried to help me were terrific....BUT the Verizon issue I have dealt with since September 2020 without resolution has been inexcusable. I contacted Verizon on September 3rd to transfer all 4 lines of our business account to a consumer account and close out the business account. The lines appeared on the consumer side and I have been paying for ALL 4 lines on the consumer side monthly since September. Since September, however, 2 of the lines still appear on the business side and I have been getting billed for those 2 lines since September and the business account remains unclosed. I call in EVERY month and am told there is an open order with a switching error and that nothing can be done until this order is finished. I ask to speak to a supervisor and am put on hold and eventually the call is disconnected. This has happened several times to me and ALSO to the assistant manager who tried to help me yesterday at the local store, whose call was also disconnected. I have yet to speak to a supervisor to take ownership of this problem and solve it once and for all. I have been a Verizon Customer for nearly 30 years and have NEVER been so frustrated by the lack of help and resolution to an issue I have had for 4 months. Ive literally spent 30 hours on the phone in addition to the 3+ hour roundtrip I made to go to a corporate location for Verizon with the hope that I could get this matter resolved. I honestly dont know what to do next. At this point, I could never recommend Verizon as a carrier to anyone despite my many years as a loyal customer.

I was there two days in a row trying to upgrade my phone. The first day was unsuccessful because of miscommunication. The second day my goal was achieved, and I upgraded my phone but the sales associate was pretty much useless. A simple question of whats the difference between these unlimited plans absolutely buckled him. I also asked for some numbers, I wanted to see a cost breakdown or an estimate or something thatll tell me how much Im purchasing the device/plan for and what the payments will look like. This was like asking for his left arm and he was irritated by my request. I also asked to have a smartwatch activated for service. That never happened. Had I seen a cost breakdown I wouldve been able to let him know it wasnt done. He was unknowledgeable, unhelpful, and was irritated by simple questions. I am absolutely irate with that pedestrian effort called customer service! Congrats Verizon, this is my first 1 star review on anything.

Purchased a new $900 Iphone online for curbside pickup. Drove to Verizon and checked in on the Verizon app as directed and said I was next. After 30 min of waiting and no updates I see other people entering the store and leaving. I was instructed to sit and wait in my car with the hazards on until a Verizon associate could assist. I finally lost and and stood in line outside while raining to see what was going on with my curbside pickup order. Once i finally speak to someone about my pickup they respond oh sorry about that a bunch of people showed up all at once. No, a bunch of people showed up 10 min after I checked in for curbside pickup and you choose to help them first even tho you saw I was waiting on your tablet. Verizon employee checked my ID ran inside and I had my phone in less than a min. Really Verizon?! I just spent almost a grand for this treatment? Dont offer curbside pickup if you dont have the logistics worked out!

Attempted to return a defective phone I purchased. The GM, Jessie, would not let me in, citing safety as his reason. The store was empty. 2 employees outside not letting anyone in. The amount of time I stood outside talking to Jessie about why he refused to assist me, he could have actually assisted me and taken my return. Literally all I was there for was to return a device. I was not buying anything new, not signing up for any new services. Just simply returning a defective device.Jessies concern of safety seemed pretty ridiculous. Hes afraid of catching the covid, but yet, the security guard standing right next to him didnt have his mask on. So is this really about safety or is Jessie just anti customer service?Situations like this is why I want to no longer be a Verizon customer.

Beware of Captain Verizon! I made an appointment last week. Showed up 10 minutes early, checked in via the app and walked up to the gazebo where I stood waiting as the sign instructed. I was shortly greeted by Captain Verizon in all his glory. He was intent on handing out justice this day! Instead of greeting me, asking if I had an appointment or displaying any normal behavior, Captain Verizon had spotted me as trouble it seems. He put his hands on his hips and barked at me need something dude? As everyone else I saw enter the store during my almost two hours there were greeted kindly by employees rather than Captain Verizon, I can only assume something about me made him decide to be aggressive and rude. The store is great, the employees were great. But if you look a certain way, beware the profiling and unnecessary wrath of CAPTAIN VERIZON! Or just go to another store that hired a security guard who doesnt have delusions of grandeur and a hero complex.

Just OK. No one waiting in line but rep was texting on phone then finally came to the door, asked if I had an scheduled appt. Do i need an appt? No, what do you need? I just need a new glass cover for my galaxy10. Response, Let me see if we have any. I Waited outside, rep came back we only have 1left. I entered store and told the next rep I bought a glasses cover with this new phone bundle. Yet, the supposed lifetime warranty with shield company online never has this cover in stock. I was charged $50.00. I said Im sorry, I just explained I am a customer with verizon, can you run this with my phone number as I know I get discounts on accessories.Rang up for $40 It took a while to put on the glass. Rep just handed me my phone, here you go. Not even do you need anything else, nor have a good evening? Not the best of customer service at this store. No help at all. Only interested in hearing themselves talk and not listening to the customers concerns or needs. After listening to a ton of handbook babble that did not address issues, was told to come inside and they would ultimately help me. I waited inside for 20 minutes to be told 2 different things ending with we dont have any more tablets and I will need to call telesales. Luckily I had enough of their BS for one day, therefore I laughed and walked out. Mgr was approached by rep multiple times and she never came over to try and help or solve any issues. I have never been more disappointed in Verizon than I am today. We have several accounts we are seriously considering moving to another carrier, both business and personal lines. No one cares anymore unless its money in their pocket...really sad for a service industry company such as Verizon.

I went to Verizon because my phone fell into my sink and stopped working so I need to file a claim. The guy who “helped” me handed me a paper and said, “you can file a claim online or over the phone.” I told him I already tried, but they keep trying to call me but I don’t have a phone and live alone. I explained that I need my phone for work.” His response was, “well, we can’t file claims here because we’re trying to prevent cross-contamination.” I told him I don’t need to touch your phone and that’s what speaker is for.. long story short, he didn’t help me.

I bought a new Samsung A25 at this location and walked out of store with a 4G sim card in the new phone. Since Verizon updated 2 5G I was sent home with the 5G card with no directions about anything. Went in looking to upgrade, right from the start the sales REP (Chandler) greeted us and asked what he could help with! Chandler was amazing and provided excellent customer service and made the upgrade happen even while running into multiple hiccups, Chandler valued our time and apologized repeatedly for the delays and hiccups. I strongly recommend if you are in the area and need any assistance please stop in and ask for him specifically! I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!The store had a great atmosphere and was very well maintained and clean!

He told me to WALK the 2 miles to the location that allows people inside. its 120 degrees out. That it was by appointment only, how am i suppose to make an appointment with no phone? Not only was I greeted at the door upon arrival but, when my associate Irvin came up to me he greeted me by name.We discussed what I wanted and didn’t want and he in no way pressured me to get more than that. He explained the charges I would see on my first months bill, if I decided to bring the phone back and get a new one, and even calculated my likely first bill.The negative reviews on this store are trash. I didn’t see one employee not helping someone, or doing their best to help someone.

Jay (Jason?) spent a couple of hours ensuring our issues were resolved. We placed an order online that could not be verified because we only had a jetpack on the account. He re-did the order, consisting of 4 lines and ports from 2 accounts. He called fraud prevention multiple times to ensure everything went smoothly. Matt (Supervisor?) was also a great help, supporting Jay and us. The amount of hoops and red tape was a bit of an aggravation, but Jay handled it with grace and professionalism.

My boyfriend and I went into this store with an old phone we found in my apartment. I don’t even know I still had it honestly. We went to go activate the phone since we were having problems on the website, and they accused us of stealing the phone in front of everyone because the SIM card wasn’t working and because my boyfriend was “stuttering”. Little do they know that’s a problem he has always had. It was so embarrassing we just turned around and left. Still sitting here thinking what we did to deserve such an accusation. I really don’t even want this service anymore after that.

Went in to use my ASU student discount on accessory items at Verizon. The website clearly says, show student id for discount. The guy at the front door after I asked what items I could use my discount on proceeds to tell me that I cant use a student discount because “student status” wasn’t on my Verizon account. Would highly recommend not going to this store as they treat students like children instead of customers. Also when you try to call store to talk to someone you just get sent to Verizon automated service and sit on hold for over 30 mins without an answer. Would rate this store zero if I could!

We left and will purchase somewhere else. Verizon stores are not known for customer service. This one sets a new low. I bought a screen protector here because I was told I could return here to get it replaced. I walk in to get it replaced and they tell me I have to contact the maker of the screen protector. The rep told me 5 times they do t replace it, but they install them for free. I had to install the first one because the rep didnt know how. In fact he messed up the first one and went in back to get a replacement. As I was walking out this rep chirped, I was going to replace it but you walked away. I replied that he wasnt going to replace it, he was being rude and I will never step back in that store.Further, they always mill around when people are waiting and walk past without looking and go hang out in the back after customers. The manager should be fired and find someone e who values customers. This is not my first bad experience here, second in a week in fact as I went in last weekend for the same problem, but 5 reps helping people and 30 min later all but one were in the back and one rep on the floor helping a customer.I stay with Verizon only for their coverage. Go to Best Buy from now on. Stay away from this frustration fill building.

Ive been a customer for around 13 years. Recently, back in November, I was told I get a free upgrade. Something that happens every 2 years. But I was told if I make any changes to my contract, which somehow includes using my free upgrade, I lose my unlimited free data. I use over 5 GB a month (I know!). So without my free data, my monthly bill would be 100s of dollars a month. Ive never had this issue in the past.My phone now is terrible. It is a DROID Bionic. Super slow, Over heats, and Half the apps crash before even opening. I do not understand where Verizons customer loyalty is. Basically they are telling me that if i want a new phone, I must terminate my contract. I would be more than happy to, but am afraid of losing my number of 13 years.Theres nothing too horrible about this specific store, besides giving me this ironic information. I know they have the power to overwrite this, but choose not to. They did seem to lose a lot of interest when they found out I wasnt there to buy, but was there to instead try and receive my upgrade.

I walked in the door seeking assistance with new service. I had previously called Verizon Wireless Sales Department and applied for new phone service over the phone. I was referred to go to the store to take proof of identity and residency. I drove a hell of a distance to do so. When I walked in, there was an African American guy standing there giving a blank “why are you here” look. And then there’s Katie. She stepped up like I guess I’ll help these people. Not once did she crack a smile - just had an attitude from before I even walked in the door. I told her what I was there for and she told me that I needed to call. After I told her how far I just drove and asked why one of their reps would send me to a store, she said (with the worst attitude in the world) I’M JUST TRYING TO HELP YOU! She said I needed to call their service department back. I asked her to call and she slammed the phone off the hook onto the counter and dialed them on speaker phone. She began to slam drawers that were on the counter. To avoid me losing my top after a long week of work, I walked away and went to grab a manager. He’s been pretty decent so far.NEVER DEAL WITH KATIE AT THIS LOCATION IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR SANITY! WAIT FOR A REP TO MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE THEY WANT YOUR SERVICE.

I have been to this store about five times, and generally received good service. If its not prompt, that is because there are more customers than technicians in the store. Im knocking one star off due to being systematically rushed on more than one occasion.I noticed that most people giving 1-star reviews had exactly one bad experience in the store. They should ask themselves:- Did they have terrific experiences at other phone stores?- Is it possible to give a negative review thats 2 or 3 stars, or does it absolutely have to be 1 star to garner attention?

Since this particular store open up Ive shopped here. Today was the best experience of all at this location, I had a really awesome employee by the name of PJ very attentive with lots of patience. My screen protection he put on with no bubbles whatsoever the last one that I took to the store was full of Bubbles and the guy said in a day or so theyll disappear unfortunately, that never happened so i want to acknowledge a phenomenal employee and say Thank you PJ for all your help today.

Great service although expected since you always pay for it being the most expensive cell service you can get. Friendly staff but the guard at the door is a bit weird as it makes me feel unsafe like Im in the ghetto or something... Be better if the werent in uniform.

Problem with my new Google ear buds was told by Verizon tech support I need to go to a store. Looked them up as the one close by closed one month after my purchase. First store person stated you need to go to corporate store we dont carry the buds. Long wait here at Tempe Marketplace. Finally summoned and as I stood there couple feet away from tech I asked if hed just had a cigarette. He replied not recently, so he had had one or more. Kept my distance. Next, and this really gets me, Verizon is swapping old for new BUT since its a different store I OWE AN EXTRA 24¢!!!! should I just add it to your bill? Im snickering, and asked why.....dont you realize how silly this is? I state. On way out the front person asked my satisfaction, thought a sec, wasnt going to say anything but did. Gave her the extra charge story to which she came back with well you know Uncle Sam. I told her Verizon plays a part as well, left.

I am a veteran customer who lives in Chandler and am surrounded by other stores, but because of Biancas knowledge of products and service I am more than happy to make the drive to the Tempe Market Place location.
