Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Kevin was great. Kevin wanted to help and get me in the right shoe to help with my plantar fascia issues I’ve had for the past 12 years. The foot analysis was a great service and hopefully helps fitting right shoe. I will try the perfect fit I soles that were matched by the results of the analysis. I will try and give a review after some time with the suggested shoe.

I came in here to buy my wife some running shoes and boy did we get 5-star treatment. They scanned her feet and did your treadmill walk to assess what shoe type would be best, and then they brought out an arsenal of shoes to try. We felt bad for trying on a lot of shoes but the sales rep didn’t make us feel that way, in fact he was insistent on trying on the right shoes. I am definitely coming back, especially after becoming a VIP member.

I had a great experience at Road Runner Sports. I am a VIP member and brought back a pair of shoes that I had tried for about 6 weeks that just were not working. Mason L. listened to the issues I was having and then brought out some other shoes that he thought would work better for me. (The variety of brands and shoe models that they have is one of the reason’s that I went to Road Runner.)He also explained about their custom made arch supports. I decided to try a pair of them. I left the store with new arch supports and shoes that feel really good.I highly recommend Road Runner Sports and definitely ask for Mason L. to help you!

NEVER order on line from this retailer.Bought pair of New Balance fresh foam shoes. Took them out for a run and one shoe was tighter than the other. Appears left was slightly shorter than the right shoe. VIP member. Boxed up shoes and drove to UPS. (Pain).Two weeks later they returned the same shoes. Nice, huh. Called and was put on hold by Jessica 20 minutes and agent never returned. Had to call credit card company to dispute charges.Scam?

I explained to the staff up front that I had a warranty credit for Hoka and wouldnt be purchasing my shoes in their store, but needed to try them on.They easily could have thrown my size at me & left me alone. Gabriel went above and beyond!! He gave me the same service as if I were buying a dozen shoes from him today. Ill definitely be back to get a gait analysis and buy all my shoes from Gabriel :)

Had a wonderful experience there my fit expert actually knew what he was talking about on my shoe selection. I was impressed he knew the stack heights of all my shoes and for what type of running they would be good for even listened to me and had other suggestions on different types of shoes to wear. I run trail, ultramarathons, marathons, triathlons so I know my shoes.

We always buy our running shoes here. The quality is always top notch. My husband wears ASICS, and I’m usually open minded but I’m going to need help finding shoes that are less stressful on my knees. Staff is always educated and ready to help. I can’t wait to get my next pair. The only downside is the shoes are on the pricey side.

Returned to Road Runner Sports as VIP customer to return sneakers I purchased a few days ago to try different sneakers with different sole. Experience was awesome. Worked like they said it would. I went to the Roadrunner at Tempe marketplace in Tempe Arizona. I had a notion of what I wanted and was there to buy, but after some consultation and a 3D scan of my feet I was given some options I had no idea were available to me. The specialist worked with me one on one and made quite certain my new insoles and shoes were a nice comfortable fit. I am quite pleased with the entire experience and will return to this very location for my next pair of shoes.

This place is amazing they take a scan of your feet and watch you run on a treadmill so you can get the perfect shoe and the perfect fit that will help with knee or back problems! So you can be Happy running instead of in pain!

Great shoes and staff has good knowledge. However, it was very slow getting a staff person to help us and the lines were very long. Needed to get there right when the doors open or you will have to wait 40 minutes

Bought a set of running socks. Washed them before wearing. A hole in the big toe appeared before I had even put them on. Tried to take them back. They refused unless I brought back all three pairs. Since I had driven 10 miles to make that exchange, I gave up. To sum it up, mediocre merch, average customer service, no concern about the customer experience.

We were looking for the Hoka Rincon for our daughter, who is a cross country athlete. She’d tried on a pair on a recent trip to Boston and had decided the shoe was good as her next trainers. When RRS did not have the size needed, Kevin let us know he could have it delivered to our home. My daughter asked to try on the Saucony Endorphin Speed 2 shoes. She like them more than the Hoka and then Kevin helped find the black and white color she preferred. In the process, Kevin shared his experience as a high school cross country athlete and his extensive experience as a runner which was a big bonus! Come to find out that he’d run in the recent Boston Marathon. So cool! We’d just come back from there ourselves as my husband had run in it as well. This is exactly why we drive 40 minutes/33 miles to visit Road Runner Sports. The staff is friendly, helpful and so knowledgeable. Kevin was terrific! Went in and was helped by Jay who was courteous, informative and super helpful. I needed to be re-analyzed because I was statutorily have issues with the outside of my right foot. Jay took great care and made sure I had tried a few structural shoes in my size and half up, as well as wide. Turns out I bought the Hoka (a brand I hadn’t heard of) and they were the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn. I don’t think I’m even going to need to where my orthotics in these, they’re such a perfect fit. THANKS JAY FOR ALL YOUR HELP, WALKING WILL BE A BREEZE AGAIN!!!

Bring a couple hundred dollars and you will get custom inserts and sneakers to fit your feet. Great experienced staff. We had a half hour wait but we had exceptional service. We did not feel rushed. Knowledgeable staff guided me to my running comfort. Your feet will thank you in the long run.

TERRIBLE! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!Absolutely disgusting how this place have gone downhill. I made a purchase 7/4 and was given Mens shoes, discovered when I got home. The store treated me like a liar before finally agreeing to fix their mistake. The store manager did not follow through. I left a message with corporate but, it took 5 days to return my call. For 18 days that managers vm has been full. Im currently taking lunch for another call where they want to call me back instead of resolving the issue.

My son was born with Milroys Disease, which affects the function of his lymphatic system and causes swelling (primary lymphedema) of the feet. As an active kid who enjoys running, soccer, and ninja, Ive struggled to find athletic shoes that fit him properly.Rather than ordering him a plethora of shoes to try on before going back to school this year, I took him to Road Runner Sports. There, Jordyn performed a 3D Fit Scan. After noticing that his ball width is 2E, she said, Have you tried Altra? She brought out a pair for him to try, and they fit him better than any other shoe hes ever tried on. Moreover, they fit without causing him any pain and without having to buy a much bigger shoe than necessary.We celebrated his birthday last weekend at a local ninja gym. He went to a summer camp at the gym and struggled to run the warped wall because his oversized shoes kept falling off. This was not the case on his birthday because he wore Altras. He scaled the wall with ease and reached a higher mark than ever before.I never thought one shoe would mean this much to me. That all changed, however, when I found footwear that unlocked my sons potential.Thank you Jordyn, and thank you Road Runner Sports!

Eddy, the sales rep who helped me today (6.12.20) was incredibly attentive, patient and knowledgeable. He even opened a easy tie shoelace option for me to test with a pair of hiking shoes that were A. too bright and B. I want a faster and easier lacing process (after checking out an option that featured a similar choice). Because I am so particular and had very specific needs and questions to address, I noticed Eddy go over and beyond. He informed me every time he needed to assist another customer, which was a small step in helping assure me he was available to support my needs, while still being able to maintain workflow and other customers, which allowed me to take my time. He wasnt afraid to look up options and details online even if it meant on another vendors site, which felt like he cared about providing excellent care over strickly making a sale. This allowed me to evaluate in full effect my options, which is why I came in person verses continuing to delay making a decision online. He even showed me some clearance shoes to ensure I had exhausted all my choices. From colors, to cushion, to brands, Eddy provided the level of customer service and knowledge I adore.As for store selections, I was looking primarily at hiking shoes, which was sufficient, but limited. I am very addicted to my Merrells (I have Sirens I LOVE, but have been tempted to switch to the Moab 2 Vent Mid), but was curious about Hoka (loved the cushion) and Soloman brands. I did notice a high quality tennis skirt in a plum purple that had 2 pockets for balls and a pocket for a pony tail, maybe a key or something small. It was high quality fabric and priced around $50. Overall, the store is small and selections may be a bit specific, but the customer service today was outstanding.I would suggest they add a test trail cliff thingy like I tested at the Burbank, CA REI, because it would assist in testing the tread, ankle support and easy of movement.I didnt notice any outlets for keeping phones charged while trying on shoes and the benches are rather locker room style, certainly not premium. Just an Interior Design upgrade option observation.

As a location, this road runner has friendly, helpful staff. Id recommend going in for a fitment and run analysis, buy one pair of the shoes you like, then shop elsewhere with your new knowledge. As a company, Road Runner Sports boarders on shady. They have a high pressure membership sales plan that is designed to hook you early for the discount and then sneak a large membership fee onto your bank statement a year later. If you enter your email anywhere on their website, youll start getting spammed with promo emails, and even after canceling your membership, they may try and reactivate it without you knowing. I canceled my membership two years ago, and went one year without a charge. I noticed last week that a new charge had shown up. I called to inquire and to the customer service reps credit, he was helpful and understanding. He read is required try and get you to stay messages, and then I was able to get a confirmation of cancellation and a refund, but the fact that I had to call is a major issue. Unlike a Costco membership, where you can get a prorated refund anytime and they give you regular reminders of upcoming renewals, Road Runner ops for the more sneaky method of just hope they dont notice. Its made me dislike the company more than its made me form any loyalty, I dont want to feel like Im buying a used car when Im show shopping.

A few weeks ago I purchased some insoles and some socks for myself, my husband and son. Well the store was busy, the overall experience was excellent. Which is why they’re getting three stars instead of one. On Sunday I made the mistake of going in to spend my VIP rewards. It was busy again and this time I was told the wait will be about half an hour. Over an hour later, after watching people who signed in *after* me get served, I decided to ask what was going on. There was a lot of miscommunication about the sign in sheet and who was there first. I finally did get served and my entire transaction took about 15 to 20 minutes. The store really needs to tighten up its processes in order to serve the copious number of customers they have coming in at any given time. I plan to go back, and hopefully will be able to update my review. Their website does allow you to make an appointment, which is what I will do, and I recommend shoppers do the same.

I was in today and it was not busy, and thought I would have a great experience but that was not the case. I felt like Lauren didnt care about helping me, she brought me shoes to try on and would leave for long periods of times I needed a different size and had to wait for a long time for her to return and when she did return and brought a different shoe that ran small and again didnt fit me and after trying to wait for Lauren to return I got tired of waiting and seeing other sales associate just pass by no one offering help I gave up waiting and didnt get shoes. This was a terrible experience considering the store was pretty empty and I made a special trip to get new shoes. . I even had to wait a long time to get help to check out for other items I got and even that was a difficult process trying to use my VIP discount.

The start was a bit rocky—the operator when I called put me on the wait list for the walk testing, when I arrived, I checked in, then went to look at socks. I came back and they said they had called for me and since I hadn’t responded, they went on. I was still on the list, so they rotated back to me—this time I wouldn’t leave my spot and it was quite a wait. Once THAT was over, I had an AMAZING experience. “My” technician/salesperson, Jay, took me through the walking assessment, got my shoe inserts made and saved, helped me find shoes—lots and lots of shoes—and made sure I had a perfect fit for my exercise needs.
