First time here after moving from WA and the experience was amazing. Owen want awesome, quick service and personable! All the staff was on their game if we needed anything someone was always there asking us before we could Ask them love that!! Food was light and super good. Forgot our left over and they noticed right and brought it to the car for us. Super sweet awesome food go go go!!!
This is my Go-To sushi spot AlWaYs!! Their sushi is so fresh and flavorful!! The signature rolls are 🔥🔥🔥!! Try the Orange Blossom Roll- trust me. You’ll be hooked for life :) And the sushi chefs are so friendly and knowledgeable- they can make basically anything you ask for, as far as rolls go. Also, the Bomber Puffs are Fantastic!!! Great way to start out your meal! Check this spot out- you’ll be happy you did!!
Fresh sushi in the desert? Its possible! Loved the sashimi lunch plate and the spring rolls are to die for. We came in at 1:45 and they close at 2 until dinner, but the wait staff was still very attentive and friendly. Sorry for being that guy but the group we were with was dead set on sushi. Great experience.
Absolutely delicious. Fresh, good flavor, nice service, drinks are good and not pricey at all. Highly recommend.
What a pleasant surprise this restaurant was! Initially had avoided sake bomber because of the prices but new I had eventually try it out. My only regret was putting off trying it out for so long. This place has some outstanding sushi! Mind you, I have had much better cuts at lower prices at my favorite sushi joint, but the quality of the sushi matches those places that I find truly have the best sushi, this justifying the prices. Truly a fun atmosphere and my new personal favorite place for the volcano roll, by far my favorite rendition of the volcano roll and the best place to get one in my opinion!
We love Sakebomber sushi & grill!! We are regulars at this wonderful gem. They always have quick and efficient service. We order take out regularly and they have never messed up our orders.
Service was good, food was delicious and they even have a little grilled food menu if your not a fan of sushi. Draft and bottled beer and of course sake, good place for a date night without getting fancy.
Not trying to be overly critical, but this sushi restaurant really is nothing special. Decent quality food, at a semi-high price makes me not want to return here. Unfortunately, I havent found a great sushi restaurant in Tempe, but this place definitely does not hit any high marks for me. I think theyre able to get away with not being great because theyre near ASU and when people want decent sushi, they just say hey, lets go to Sake Bomber. 3 stars from me, I wasnt impressed, on any level.
If your thinkin bout goin here...You Better get there between 430 n 530.. cause it starts filling up at 6 Sharp.. Like clockwork the regulars start piling in and filling themselves full of beautifully arranged; Scrumptious food that is made in timely manor. In which the very inviting staff with smiling eyes(Youll be lucky if you get Owens section ;?)will attend to your wants from a large variety menu.If you think about changing the way they prepare your dish... Dont. Every dish is as perfect as it can be. Your voice box will be humming with every bite of fresh angelic goodness that makes you want to try every dish that you never would try before. It could only get better as different ideas stir the pot in this nicely arranged little getaway.. be prepared to want to eat(full belly) and drink(full bar) the night away as life gets back to a normalcy. Have a great time everyone!
Love this place.. sushi chefs have worked at other locations Ive been to and bring their experience with a variety of other options not offered on their regular menu. Always a great atmosphere whether youre at the bar or have a table. Sake bombs.. sushi.. appetizers.. always meet my expectations. Music is very diverse as well.. always different but very acceptable.
Its not the greatest food choice but the Manager Rebecca is super nice and Mack was a babe.Is a place to chill not for a proper meal. But overall is nice Rebecca is Taiwanese
Between the employees and the amazing food great-aunt innosphere and ambience it is such an amazing place to come to eat especially with the large group of people
They have Happy Hour from 5-7pm, and 9-Close. Try the Ruby Grapefruit Mega Mule drink. It looks good enough for 2! I had the Volcano Roll and being from NYC, I HAD to try the White Castle roll lol. It has white tuna & asparagus tempura fried with crab mix and miso mayo. The food is incredible and the service, impeccable.
This is another favorite sushi place.High quality. Affordable. Fun staff.
Food was subpar and happy hour pricing was not competitive. Serving sizes were nice but they were not using actual sushi rice and some of the fillings were dry.
The miso soup and basic salad were quite delicious. The California rolls were expertly made and were quite tasty. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quite efficient in their service and interactions. I will come back.
Ok so first we gone start off with the excellent customer service, very welcoming host & beautiful food presentation ... Just perfect. Plenty of color, fixed with pride ...NOW WE ARE GONE TALK ABOUT THAT BOMB A** CHIMICHUNGA SUSHIOMGIM GOING BACK ASAPTHEY HAVE EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS ON THE PERFECT SUSHI. I WAS JUST DRIVING, SAW THE PLACE & STOPPED, BOY AM I GLAD I DID. IM A SUSHI LOVER AND THIS PLACE IS THE BEST THUS FAR. THANK U SO MUCH Sushi gods 🙌🏿
The chicken teriyaki dinner needs a lot of work. Very good atmosphere.
Eat here! Most under rated sushi restaurant in AZ. Always fresh fish, awesome selection of signature and special rolls, and a great selection of sake and beer.
Slow staff also the Salmon tasted old but the rest of it was delicious
Orange blossom roll is sooooo good. Id go back just for that roll and would love to go back and try the boba cocktails they have as well. They have lots of happy hour options, not the cheapest happy hour but I think its worth it. Well be back :)
Its okay but its no hidden gem. Got three rolls, one of them being a specialty roll. The specialty roll was the best out of the three. The rice on all the rolls didnt seem sticky enough, like more of it fell off the roll and on to my plate. I will be trying other sushi restaurants in the area but this place was the cheapest I could find in the moment and you know what they say, you get what you pay for.
Eric and the crew always treat us so well. Ask what’s good & look at the specials board. Anything with white tuna, ceviche, ahi (stuffed tomato! 😋 ) and spicy scallops great options.I’ve been eating sushi for 30+ years and I can say this place does lack a few exotic dishes but quality is excellent and so is the price point.
Dont be fooled by the exterior - a hidden gem awaits you inside!Sorry about the half eaten sushi picture - it was so delicious that I forgot about taking a photo! The service here was outstanding. The food was really good.I went for happy hour with a group of friends. All of us were very pleased with our menu choices. We are going to add SakeBomber to our regular HH Club rotation! My friends are not sushi lovers, but there were plenty of other menu choices so I figured it would be worth a try. They all gave it a thumbs up!They also have take out, which I am planning on ordering sometime. I can have my sushi, my husband can have his teriyaki. Win/win!
I eat here almost once a week. Consistent and great quality. Matcha green tea latte Boba is legit. So is the Volcano roll.
The sushi rolls are pretty big you get full real quick. Don’t order too much food might be a lot to handle
Really good sushi. Orange blossom roll is the bomb!
Ordered pick up. Lady was super rude. Order was incorrect... Over priced for room temperature, nothing-special-about-it sushi. Theres a million other places to order sushi in Tempe. I wont be back to this one..
Yum! Recently enjoyed a dinner with boba and sushi here with some friends, and we all had a great time. The quality and pricing of the sushi were great. The rolls were large and quite tasty. The boba drinks were tasty good, and I especially appreciated that you could get aloe instead of boba. The wait time, especially for the drinks, was a bit high but we all agreed we would go here again!
Great food! Great atmosphere! Crispy California Roll used to be my favorite from here until I tried the Lollipop Roll. If youre ok with raw, please dont leave here without trying it. Its so good!! All other rolls are good as well. Its my favorite sushi spot and even though we live on the other side of town from it, we will drive out just to eat here because we have yet to find a place that can compare.
Chefs know their craft and push out quality bites. Menu is diverse without being overwhelming. True family business, and sisters Angie and Rebecca care about their guests and show that they want you back. Their happy hour is legit, to boot.
Best sushi in Phoenix! Great staff too. Great Boba!
We got an order to go. Everything was wonderful!
We went here for my friends birthday. They had a bunch of vegan options, and the server was happy to tell me all of them! I got a cucumber roll, and avocado roll, and vegetable skewers. She also told me that the veggie roll without cream cheese and the vegetable fried rice without egg were vegan as well! Overall, it was a great experience. Everyone should try the sake bombs, too:)
Sake Bombers is one of my favorite sushi restaurants! Food is always fantastic and customer service is exceptional!!
My husband and I ordered takeout for our Friday night dinner. I’ve seen this restaurant a couple times while in the area and had been looking to try it out. For our first visit, we ordered the Crab Puffs, which were delicious, the House Vegetable Fried Rice, and several sushi rolls. (Philadelphia, Spicy Salmon, Spicy Tuna, and Las Vegas) In my opinion, aside from the Crab Puffs, the sushi and rice were a bit on the bland side. The order was correct, presentation and quality of the food was good. The prices were a little higher than the normal place that we go, yet the service was good.
Nothing but praise!
This is our favorite place to get sushi in Tempe! The servers are always so helpful and the food is always great! Would recommend 10/10!
Great food and beer selections. With the addition of boba tea its a great choice any time theyre open. Be sure to check hours.
This place would have been 4 stars if they had not stuffed a 14 top directly behind me with bratty little kids and a very rude daddy that couldnt seem to sit still. Every time this man got up i got touched. Also Katsu Chicken shouldnt come with jarred american bbq sauce on it. For the prices you would think they would serve authentic Katsu... JMO though
Best corndogs and milkshakes Ive ever had
The food is pretty great, especially the sushi. The service can take a little long though, but they were short staffed for my first visit, so it could vary.
Consistently proves to be the best spot for Sushi in Tempe. Reasonable prices for outstanding food, and a diverse drink menu. Decor could feel more modern or authentic, but suits the bar atmosphere nonetheless. Service is always good. The fried rice is as good as Ive ever tried! Perfect place for a dinner date.
Sushi was standard, but their regular menu looked stellar. Tempura was great, I got an alcoholic Thai tea, which was awesome. Very good service as well, no wait to sit, and short wait for our food. The atmosphere is cool and more like a dive bar, but with plenty of seats. Would be a great happy hour choice.
Friendly and happy staff, which always makes happy costumers ! Not to mention the food . I’m with child so I can’t go ham on sushi ha . They had really sweet alternatives . Everything was just marvelous . Would definitely go again . 🍒♥️
Have been going to Sake Bomber for years. Always been totally great. Food is always consistently good or even better than before. Went for my birthday and they accommodated fantastically. I really enjoy this restaurant. Service is very good. I always recommend this restaurant for sushi lovers.
Used to come here a lot. Awesome lunch specials, good drinks, good service.
Food was excellent. Server Mack was charming.
Good food and service. I will say that I was disappointed that about 3/4s of the menu had a deep fried protein or cream cheese. I know thats my preference, but if I want fresh fish without a lot of fat I wouldnt be able to come here and have much of a variety to choose from. Overall it was still a five star experience and Im not going to penalize a business for my preferences, but I hope they consider having more options that arent soaked or coated in fat.
Good sushi place with a fun atmosphere. I liked the reverse happy hour specials. Didnt try any signature rolls but the classics were done well. The shrimp tempura roll was by far my favorite. Fun place to go with a small group of friends.
Great neighborhood sushi joint! The staff was very friendly and quick with our food. Youll find various kinds of delicious rolls on their menu and they even have a pretty good roll of the day. Their drinks are also great, id reccomend trying some of the wide arrange of sake flavors they have! Over all, great food, great staff, and a nice environment.
Absolutely the best sushi in Arizona !
Food was DELICIOUS! I finally find a restaurant that has quail eggs. Definitely will go back. Happy hour was awesome
Love the Orange Blossom roll and garlic edamame! I been recommending this place to everyone. It was a really welcoming atmosphere and modern look. The bathroom is very nice and clean. The service is excellent!
Consistent good sushi for a reasonable price. Their happy hours are particularly good, with a good number of rolls available. They also have cucumber wrapped rolls. The staff are really nice as well!We have been visiting this location regularly over the last few years and have never been disappointed.
Great food. Food is always consistent. The service is consistent. The staff is always friendly. The sushi chefs care, are nice and hardworking. I love this place. Nowhere near as crazy and loud as Ra. Great environment.
This place is amazing! They have happy hour till 8, their food is great, they have fun mixed drinks. Were going to make it our new date night spot.
Great sushi selection and quality with normal prices. I like the dim, but welcoming atmosphere and the staff was kind and helpful. The quail egg was delicious!
Not sure why this has such good reviews.Between the torn pleather booths and the fish that they are selling at very high prices, I honestly feel betrayed by the good reviews. Half the items we ordered were out of stock and we all got sick about 2 hours after eating here. We reported them to the department of health services because we actually got food poisoning. Do not eat here unless you want to lose a few pounds for the next couple of days.
This is my favorite sushi place! We tried a couple different ones before picking this one. The sushi tastes incredible, and the staff is great too. Their boba is also the best boba Ive ever had.
Great food. Waiter seemed a bit distracted with me. Even tho I was sitting alone. I can imagine if I brought a guest...
Everything took forever, our seating, our drinks, our food. We had been there for nearly 3hrs just waiting for one little thing. Not the greatest
I really enjoy myself I thought it was low scale with upscale pricing.
This place has some yummy sushi!! Great saki and full bar. Fun atmosphere but only thing is the service can take forever. Sometimes Im not sure if they forget about us or they dont have enough staff. Nonetheless, with a full stomach of sushi and Saki, I always leave there fully satisfied.
Large assortment of fancy rolls. The Lollipop is pretty unique. The Firecracker is darn good. Service can be slow sometimes. Sometimes the TVs are on real life murder mystery channels. We had them change it once because we werent into watching a murder rape investigation while eating. They changed it promptly. My least favorite thing is that they card you at the front register if youre drinking and record your ID. I dont like people taking pictures of my ID... especially without asking, especially without some use or disclosure form. (Is it even legal?) Ultimately I never drink there because of that.
Staff is fantastic and always ready to offer suggestions. The fish is beyond reproach and has never been any less than fresh and incredible. While they may be a little slow, they more than make up for it in quality.
Sushi is pretty good, happy hour is decent. Worth spending an hour trying out the menu. Seems to stay fairly busy but you can usually get a quick seat and a drink. Dont forget your ID. Gonna get carded.
They are so accommodating to us... One friend had an allergy to seaweed, another to soy. They wrapped our rolls in cucumber and were delicious 😋
First time here and we were pretty impressed! It was pretty busy when we arrived, and we didnt have to wait long for service. Sushi rolls were 👌
My fiance and I came here for our first date and we come back every year. Ive never had a bad meal here. The food is delicious!
Best Milk Tea in Tempe
We went in right after they opened for dinner. It has a cool red and black decor. The sushi rolls we had were really good. Our waiter offered great service. We will go again.
Great happy hour! Sushi is great quality
The sushi is very good, and so is the seared tuna. The prices are decent but overall great service. The last few times weve eaten here, we have had no problems and even with the large party we had the last time, we still got everything we ordered. They were as fast as they could be making all our sushi and it was all delicious.
I probably visit here at least once a month. Their drinks are delicious oh, they have a great selection of sushi. Their staff is on point every visit. Its kinda neat going through the entry hall, they have a bunch of pictures of customers having an awesome time during the weekend it looks like too
One of favorites spots for the price and service.
My girlfriend and I ordered 4 different sushi rolls and the Vietnamese coffee. Everything from the plate arrangement, sauces, decor, and taste was phenomenal. The coffee was to die for, and the prices are unbeatable.
This is hands down the best sushi place you will find in Tempe and possibly the East Valley. Food is always fresh, service is always top notice, drinks are strong, and they have AWESOME happy hour specials. You cant do better.
SakeBomber is a favorite of my husband and I. The food is always on point and the service is always friendly. Weve been here many times and have always had a good experience.
10 year old establishment. They have great food, quality service, and its not overly pricey. Compared to many sushi places they folks are 5 + star in my book. They have great priced specials also.I have been to this place many times a year since it opened. I have never been disappointed. There are 2 wonderful ladys that either own the place or at least have ran it since the beginning and they are very responsive to customers needs and wishes.
Rebecca was so polite. The food was amazing and the Boba was fireeeeee🔥🔥they only have one type of ramen but its crazy good. Super chill vibes 10/10 guest service. Thank you Rebecca ❤
Bro if you are looking for an amazing place to eat, chill, and enjoy ramen and boba and other delicious food I recommend this place, ONLY HAS 1 type of ramen Spicey miso but it is amazing as a person who isn’t into spicey food like that I love this place and would come again if I could give more than 5 stars I would, our waitress was amazing and beautiful and kind shout-out to Rebecca you’re the real MVP should definitely get a promotion cause this place will handle your needs and take care of you !
