Beautiful, clean interior with many friendly employees in every department. Top floor attaches to the parking garage and has a shopping cart lift. There are many options for vegan, paleo, gluten free...all different eating preferences/diets. This is the only place I come to specifically for Thanksgiving because both myself, who mostly eats vegan, and my boyfriend, whos a meat eater, can find food for both of us. Although the prices are a tad higher than a conventional grocery store, the product quality and variety isnt something youd find elsewhere. If youre looking for specialty products, and with an additional Amazon Prime member discount, Whole Foods is definitely the place for you!
Nicest Whole Foods Ive ever been to. Super clean and modern. Then again I was visiting from the deep south, where supermarkets still look like theyre from the 1970s.It felt like I walked into a health-oriented space station! Cool experience ππ
I was a customer with the original company at Baseline and in PV. For a number of reasons I stopped shopping at Whole Foods. Later Amazon purchased Whole Foods and my guess of what Amazon would do to improve did not occur. I went to this store and felt it was a beautiful and appealing market. It was unjustifiably expensive. I shopped twice.
Clean and everything is easy to find and theres even a sitting area where you can eat
This place is great for a number of reasons. Clean, good people, good product, air b&b.
I originally bought a place near this location back in 2007 as I thought the Whole Food was going in soon. Well, great recession and about a decade later it was built and opened up and it was worth the wait. I dont do all my grocery shopping here but nice to have it in the area - I love their butcher area and fresh made chicken sausages (the bacon is also lovely though I tend to avoid such things now). Nice selection of fruits and veggies and the 365 branded goods are pretty affordable.
A friend said that Whole Foods Tempe was hiring and he could secure a job if I filled in an assessment test and applied. After doing so A few times. I was turned down without an interview or even the opportunity to speak with someone . I have a reading disability and wasnβt giving any opportunity to be considered for employment. My work record shows that I have kept and maintained a professional high level of employment. I believe that Whole Foods uses unfair Descrimaination practices for their employment. There is only one option to apply for a job through a confusing assessment test that takes quite a while to get through. A employment attorney has been contacted as well as a letter to Whole Foods has been drafted. I will be shopping at the local farmers market instead.
The store is very well laid out. The gentleman that worked in the butcher department was very helpful. And the cashier acashier assisted me on how to go to the mobile app to find my customer code customer code to get the discount on my total purchase!
Solid selection of organic goods at reasonable prices. I honestly like the location and atmosphere a lot too but besides that it serves its purpose as a grocery store. The caramel chocolate chip cookies they bake are bomb though.
Pretty nice store, one important note, you can park for free in their parking ramp. Parking in the area is generally scarce. Great ranger products, however I ordered the pizza from the deli and it was cold. Halfway through I noticed a microwave across from where I was seated and was able to heat things up.
Very clean and organized. They have an Amazon package return station here now as well and thats super convenient. Plenty of parking and theres a parking garage attached to the store so theres no Hassel. They even have an escalator for the carts so you can take your groceries with ease to the upper levels.
Amazing service and support of all the workers at this location. This old lady lost her keys, and they all searched the store and stored my groceries in the cooler until situation was resolved. Kudos to all of them and their manager. Very kind and compassionate people.
Disappointed. Expensive and not a good fresh meat selection. Parking garage hard to navigate due to poor signage. This was the Tempe location. When they were on baseline and rural they had more produce, pre-made meals and choices for fresh meat.
Beautiful new store, my granddaughter loves this store, the escalator, and eating on the patio overlooking the traffic on university. Good selection of organic foods, and big salad bar area.
Came for an Amazon return, stayed to do some shopping. loved the parking. store eas clean & bright. impressed with the buffet of prepared food choices!
Great food and amazing quality as well as cleanliness throughout the store. Too bad the hot food bars had everything dried up, they should have covers on the dishes to prevent them from getting crusty
Wow, this is my first visit (I know, right!) But incredible healthy selections. Will be shopping here often. Comparable prices, more organic selections, super healthy. Need more shops like this.
Always clean, but its a smaller location so the selection isnt as good as most Whole Foods. If its nearby, though, youll be able to find what you need.
Ordered my groceries last night.... 10-11 pick-up time. Checked in at 10:49: went to the meat counter for about 5mins, went up front to pick up order. Asked a question to the cashier she got an attitude, another young lady came over. Informed my my groceries werent ready. I cancelled it all. Completely BAD look on your store. Meat counter guy was great though. Ordered from chandler Id rather drive 10miles
So it feels weird being in this place. Like I am in some sort of time warp looking for Gentle Strength are not there. However the staff and people make a new sense of the area.
First of all, the parking: the access to the parking garage isnt hard to find on Ash Street. The interior is quite narrow, though, and the lot on the second floor isnt huge. It was mostly empty when I visited on a Friday morning, but I can imagine it would be unpleasant on a busy weekend. The actual store is located just downstairs. Its smaller than other Whole Foods. I was there specifically for the artisanal cheese counter, and it consisted of a wall of shelves, not a low counter with mongers behind it. When I say the selection was smaller than other Whole Foods, that still means it was a lot larger than the standard grocery stores around. I had several good finds, including ones that were advertised on sale that included an extra discount with Prime.I would visit this store again if I was in the area and the timing was right.
Had missed the self service food counters during covid happy to see it back in this location and had an awesome lunch today
Loved shopping here!! Love how it is so close to everything...
Very slow customer service, and not enough personnel either. With the prices Whole Foods charges, they have no excuse other than to hire and pay well, the personnel they need.
Great store and easy Amazon return area
Excellent selection of vegetable fruits and packed food.
Very very rude cashier she was stuffing my receipt in my face and trying to get me out of her line maybe it was because I was black!!! Rude she didnt say hi she didnt say thank you she didnt say nothing and I will never ever go back there!!!!!
The parking garage isnβt meant for big trucks. Smaller Whole Foods than others in the valley although it was very clean inside and fully stocked.
My first visit to their new location. The staff made my trip to pick up coconut oil extremely easy. The store feels large. I thought it would be a small store. It has very comfortable feel.Their employees know how to make a client welcome and to want to come back. Great design concept.
Love whole foods. However I dont know how I feel about the new whole foods store on mill in Tempe its ok the set up is strange π€ but I guess if I visit it a few times it might grow on me. Still great food
Grocery stores always have a problem with trying to sell unripe fruit for the precut selection, especially mangoes, but this experience takes the cake. It was the worst pineapple I have ever bought in my entire life. Negligently hard and sour. It looked awfully white and not yellow when I bought it but I thoight it was possibly a different variety. No one could put that much bad fruit up for sale. Theyd be crazy! How wrong I was. It was just straight up green fruit.
Great store!! Courteous and friendly staff. Good selection of healthy foods.
Pretty much what youd expect from a Whole Foods, everyone there is courteous as well. Only issue is that the food items they make there and put out that are hot and ready are not consistently done or set out. It would be easier to predict the stock market than whether or not they have put out the macaroni and cheese.Other than that, real solid experience and nice staff!
A grocery store you say. A modern miracle for the everyday working man.
Theres been at least 3 times where weve gone to pick up ordered groceries and have had expired products. All of them expired by 3-10 months. Very disappointed. Price is too high.
Cristian in the deli needs to be promoted he is awesome
Was really weird seeing two employees giggling, whispering and massaging each other at the register while checking my item out. I had no idea how to react to that???
Still require masks stop going where masks are required. Science doesnt lie. masks wont keep you safe.
Great browsing experience with an awesome restaurant. Grab a drink and hangout on the balcony, great spot.
They usually have the product of looking for a sale items to produce this wonderful.
Why was it necessary to build a 2-story store? I scratched my car today in the ridiculous parking lot. I wont be coming hear anymore, needless to say. Ill go to Camelback location from now on. And customer service is terrible!!!
Good products. Friendly and helpful staff. Thanks
3 times in a row now Ive been helped by rude male cashiers, I shop there Sundays after 7 and theyre always in a bad mood, they probably cant wait to finish their shift but makes me wish they had Self check-out.Update: I appreciate the response.I never had discontent with the store itself.Only gone back twice after original review in daytime & had friendly cashiers & bagger boy (courtesy clerk).Just found out you can conveniently return Amazon items here (& save on packaging).
This place has some of the most exotic foods I have ever seen. I loved the feel of walking in and seeing so many exotic foods. I would shop here if I want to try something new and I hope you do too.
Whole foods has the best baked bread I love the bakery.
Whole Foods Tempe on Ashe is a great addition to the Tempe area. Its near the lofts and condos and convenient distance to the many offices locating there. We love the Mediterra Bakehouse artisan breads from their bakery without having to drive out to Coolidge. They have ready to heat and eat meals, stone fire pizzas, sushi, and they have burgers, sandwiches and salads in their Coffee Bar or On Ashe Taproom where they are observing distancing and extra cleaning guidelines to keep guests safer while shopping. Masks are required and they have extra sanitizer stations throughout the store. For the best premium products and a clean store with friendly, helpful staff, visit Whole Foods in Tempe on Ashe.
Pretty sure we are all familiar with Whole Foods. The store caters to all! If you cant find something at Whole Foodsthat appeals to you; youre weird! ;) The Chantilly Cake is HEAVENLY!!!. Amazon nails it again!!!!
Love it.4 stars because the prepared meals like chicken breast and salmon werent very fresh.Advice: cook less, but more often.
The employees here are all fantastic. Best pizza in the Valley. Yeah I said it. Just try it! Very clean and great selection.
Hot hippie chicks everywhere.
Loved that they have they parking garage so getting in and out was a breeze
The store was very nice & clean but it very expensive there
You have to drive quite a bit to the parking garage then take escalators up and down which are kind of hidden. No phone service so you need to connect to their WiFi. No one wears masks so either everyone is vaccinated or they lie about it.
Everything about this store is great, I initially was worried about parking. But once I figured out it was on the second floor it made it really simple and was not a factor. Employees were very kind and Everything was nice and tidy.
Love this location! Amazing selection. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive.
Very clean and well-organized store! Friendly/helpful staff. They have plenty of variety for produce and just about everything else you could need; and, everything is always stocked up. Its a bit more expensive than the average grocery store (to be expected), but worth it for the quality of the products, especially if youre looking to buy organic. I will definitely be returning to shop here!
Weve been buying the tres leches cake every week or so. It was great and the best, but the last time we got it, compared to the previous times, the quality was very poor. The cake was sugary and dry. Way different than the other times :(UPDATE: the problem has been fixed and the cake is great again. One of the tastes that gives meaning to life! ππ
Great π clean store!
Great staff. Friendly . Very clean. Wish Amazon sold ring & Alexa hardware and accessories there or treated part like a Amazon brink & mortar store .
Very good whole foods location for its location in downtown Tempe. Has its own parking garage as well.
We were at the store at 7am (senior time)today. We were greatly pleased and appreciated the storeβs dealing with the virus. All staff was masked. Customers are required to wear masks. They had a temperature check station. The aisles were marked for social distancing. This store is doing it right. Our thanks for a job well done.
Staff was cordial and all of the products were organic. Really liked that they werent using plastic bags but recyclable paper bags instead.
The store is a complete state of the art. Clean, organize and tons of vegan options.
Nice location, great selection at premium prices. They are requiring you to wear a mask in the store. Donβt worry if you donβt have one, Whole Foods will supply you with one.As of know, fresh prepared hot foods are still not available. So donβt hold your breath on that unless you want pizza! ;)The store is always clean and employees are always attentive and helpful!Great location for me as I live in this neighborhood and I can easily walk/ skateboard there. There is free parking in the garage but be aware this area is undergoing a lot of construction! The new streetcar system is being built in front of Whole Foods. Also the parking garage is very very tight. Donβt recommend taking large suvs or trucks here. The scrape marks on the walls donβt lie.
Big disappointment! We decided to try the food bar for brunch....verdict is Not Worth the time or taste and waste of money.I got the Paleo Garlic Egg Muffins (verdict: NO FLAVOR), Jalapeno Beef Barbacoa (verdict: WAY TOO SALTY) and Carnitas (WAY TOO FATTY). All of the food I got were a mild warm...NOT hot. Youre being charged by weight so make sure you dig out all that unwanted FAT/WEIGHT. I also saw flies swarming around the food bar and at our table. Also, they need shade/blinds to block out some/most of the sun...I can only imagine during the summer, the heat/UV will be significantly worse. Then when we exited and went to our car and saw Compact Car painted on the concrete ground where you return your shopping carts. What is up with that?(So, owner you saw my review why dont you forward my review to Whole Foods, I shouldnt have to...another great reason why Whole Foods fail to treat customers with respect.)
My FAVORITE grocery store. Love how small it is so it doesnβt feel overwhelming but still with a great selection. I try to eat organic as much as possible and I feel while foods selection is the best.
Great grocery store, a bit pricey but a great variety of vegetarian/vegan choices.
I went specifically for Amazon returns only to find out that service was closed until further notice
I ate the turkey dressing, but it was aweful. It seemed that they threw in celery ends without saute it. The celery texture was close to chewing on alfalfa! Always saute the onions and celery! T Day cooking 101!! No excuse for what was paid for the turkey dinner! Hire a real cook for gods sake. Dressing is the main dish in a turkey dinner.
I love their Thanksgiving turkey dinners. All I have to cook is my pies... I recommend whole foods even though they are a little pricey, the quality is remarkable
Friendly prices are low
My favorite local market. This place is the best. Love Whole Foods.
LΓVΔ some of precooked items ~Packaged and read to eat..
Very nice store, great location.
Rude teller happens a lot AR tempe AZ location.
The employees are very wired. The blonde manager was quite odd. This store doesnt really have great produce.
Nice and big .
You can only go wrong here, if you come in treating it like a regular store, looking for garbage food. There is such an eclectic mix that any diet, any eating style can be accommodated. I cant shop anywhere else for certain items. Great store!
Very well stocked, friendly & happy staff. Just the 6 feet confusion in stores still. Like do I walk past you picking out protein bars or wait? Overall great visit!
Love the freshness and quality of the deli here.
Excellent store. Very clean with great customer service π
Fresh meat Friendly people
Just stopped in for a quick bite. I forgot how over priced everything was. Staff were nice and wearing masks.
A smaller store but its got everything you need. This one has an elevator that takes you to the parking garage.
A smaller store, but only half a block from home. An advantage for living in downtown Tempe.
Love this new location. Masks and hand sanitizer at the door for you. Baskets are clean and wiped off before use. This store has everything in one location. It used to require a trip to the location in Chandler to find everything as the original Tempe was limited. Its clean and has several places to enjoy a sandwich and relax. The deli and hot foods are very good. Hoping they come back sometime soon after AZ gets smart and stops the spread.Everything is easily accessible and lots of hard to find items are kept in stock.I give it a 5, my favorite location in the valley.
Owner of this store your cashiers upfront needs customer service training!!!! There luckY YESHUA walks with me... I do instacart and the cashier walked away to talk to someone else and came back yet he still did not ring up the customer items, until 5 minutes later, my client canceled her order ππππ I lost that JOB!!!!!!!
Beautiful store. A little high in price, but good products.
Great shopping place!
Very good curbside delivery. Perfect during covid times!
Maneuvering thru ASU district is horrible, but the store is nice
Fantastic. Amazing varieties/ selections for vegan, vegetarians, and meat eaters.
