I took a little adventure and walked around the “Only On Apache” commercial corridor doing some promotions for RAIL CDC’s small business grants. I happened upon this awesome little mom no’ pop run by Florence and her husband. They are originally from the motherland, Ghana. They opened up this shop to offer authentic African and Caribbean foods, items and clothing.Florence welcomed me loudly with a big smile, giving me a personal tour if the store and it’s unique items such as smoked shrimp, fufu, matching hair wraps / face mask combos, real Shea butter, black soap etc. We talked a bot and realize that we have friends im common. Small world.I would recommend everyone come in and take a gander at all the cool items, authentic American herbs and food items. She is the #1 provider of authentic Shea butter and has legit black soap. This business is a great asset to the community and Florence is active in improving the area.......I have been in community economic development (neighborhood level economic development) since 2012, helping start ups and small businesses to grow from surviving to thriving. My focus areas are commercial and cultural business districts, generally around public transit. I’ve assisted over 1000 businesses in all areas of technical assistance, access to capital and direct grants.

This market is Amazing and so many items I can not find in other African Markets. The owners are humble and kind and always willing to help. Congratulations on their upcoming anniversary of the store opening.

Would give 6 stars if possible! The store owner used my shopping list from my phone and found everything I needed! The shop may appear small but it is likely to have exactly what you are looking for. The store owner was very sweet and hummed a tune the entire time. Very pleasant experience!

So glad i found this african market! They had the lat ingredients i needed ro make my mothers stew! Aunt Flo was so nice and friendly! They have black soap and traditional clothing,as well as the razac scented lotion my nother used wear. Ill definitely be back!

Great place for ingredients to cook Nigerian and other African dishes, amazing materials for clothing and even have matching mask headtie combos, beautiful jewelry, they deserve a better location but sell an amazing variety of things

We were the only ones in the store on a Sunday. Owner was nice and showed us around a little. Cool fabrics and decor from Ghana. I bought this beautiful mahogany Goddess statue. Had no clue what ANY of the food was except peanuts. Lol Might go back for the raw shea butter and black soap.

She has everything. Weve known her since she opened and love her. Her friendly gesture and and heart-warming welcome is the reason I always go to her. If an item is bad, she will apologize and replace. Live in gilbert but dont mind making that trip thou there are other African stores near me.

I was helped by a beautiful woman named Florence, she had a ton of knowledge about all of the products that I was looking for. She was very friendly and helpful. I ended up buying what I went for and more. The prices are the best Ive found in town. I cant wait to go back! I highly recommend shopping here, you will not be disappointed.
