Had the floors in my condo redone by A1. They were very patient with me while I obsessed over the floor selection, even letting me take several samples home. Installation was smooth and they finished in just one day. Im very happy with my new floors. Makes my place feel brand new. Thanks Alex and Kevin!!

Unprofessional and unreliable. Once I signed the contract and made the 50% deposit the nightmare started. Every time I called I was directed to a new person with no sense of accountability or ownership by anyone.They contract out to 3rd parties who did a horrible job on my flooring. I would have given zero stars if I could. this is not the place to go for laminate or other flooring; and not a place to go if you are expecting quality or ethics.

They did our install and although the floors came out well, the after install support is horrible. once they are done, they are done. if you have any issues, you are on your own.

Great service during install and I needed service after 2 years after the carpet got loss in few places and needed stretching.I called few times to get it scheduled and it turned out that their repair department was still short staffed due to Covit-19 and this is on top of the catch-up they have from the time people didnt like any one to come to their home.Took some time but very understandable

I have purchased wood floors and carpet from A1! I can’t say enough of how wonderful they are. They are knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. If you want honest pricing and great service go see them!

We recently had new flooring put down in our home. We bought our flooring at A-One carpet in Thousand Oaks. The store manager (Alex) arranged for the installers. The installers did over $700.00 in damage to our walls and woodwork. When the damage was pointed out, Alex assured us that there would be no problem deducting the cost off the repairs from our final cost. However when presented with the cost he became very upset and wanted to bring his own people in for the repair. Having experienced his people we, of course, said no thanks, We then called the owner of the store and explained what was going on. He came out to the house and saw the damage for himself and honored our request for the amount to be taken off the final bill. We appreciate the fact that they did end up paying for the damage but we would have preferred not to have the damage in the first place. The installers were at times rude and had a complete lack of regard for our residence. Probably would not use this company again.

Horrible experience with A1. My advice, go with someone else, anyone else. From the beginning, we were dissatisfied. Our salesman did not advise us on the proper subfloor requirements for the particular flooring that we chose and purchased. He never came to inspect the existing floor, although he promised he would. Therefore we installed what we thought would work well due to our own research. The installers came and installed the flooring, they made a mess of the planks with black marks all over at least three-quarters of them and there were problems with Gapping and scratches they had to fix, it was a nightmare. A week later we noticed loud cracking sounds when we walked, and called immediately. at the same time I found an instruction sheet in one of the discarded flooring boxes stating the exact subfloor requirements that were required for using this particular flooring product! Obviously, it was not the subfloor that we had installed. Why the salesman did not know about this why the installers did not read the instructions before install? I do not know that is what Im paying the experts for! I called the company and told them that I found the instruction sheet and was very angry why nobody knew about the requirements or read the instructions before installing. They were very apologetic and agreed to come back and rip up the flooring allow us to do the subfloor Repairs on our Own it took us a month to do that, mean while we were sleeping on air mattresses on the floor in the winter. But a one could care less. when we called them to reschedule so they could put the flooring that they ripped up back down which was strewn all over our house oh, what a mess. They made appointments and then broke appointments they kept putting us off and putting us off they canceled the day before an install date in April and I had it at that point. The coronavirus hit and the installer said his men were scared to come... well excuse me it has now been three months and your job isnt com done I dont have my flooring. Yet I paid for it! And Ann install! My husband and I were so fed up with the incompetence and horrendous customer service that we looked at a few YouTube videos and did. The re install ourselves. This company refused to give me any of my money back for the labor that they did not do ! In fact, they never even responded to a certified letter that I sent. Awful customer service. Buyer beware with this company. Do not recommend, stay away. Find another company!!

This is the best flooring store ever! Loved the selection, the sales people actually listened and cared about what I wanted and had to say, and, the prices were excellent ! I recently had my new flooring done by Kevens team.They did a great job on my new wood flooring that I was able to rent my house right after the work was completed, everyone loved the work that was done.If you are shopping around like I did, I am sure you will find their price are very reasonable.They have so many choices and variety of colors to chose from.They gave me several samples to lay them out in my house to choose from. That worked very well for me.I will use them again and recommend them to you as well.

The A1 carpet men working there are nice, they gave my children balloons- however the carpet they sold me and swore by is not living up to their promises. I noticed after one year of having 2500 sq ft installed, the carpet began to fray; and I could see seam lines in the middle of the carpet where it was cut and glued. Not happy with the product and they were serious about how great it was. Well, it is not good carpet. I regret my purchase. My closet doors don’t close bc the carpet comes up to high and when I asked A1 to fix it, they said that’s the way it is and they can’t do much about it...and I’m left shocked, I feel scammed, and my closet doors don’t close without exerting force.

Absolute positive things to say about these guys. They do great work, great prices, and are very willing to work with you to find what you need and a price you can afford.The installers did a great job of moving around furniture and putting things back in place and cleaned up after themselves as well.Thanks to Kevin and Alex.Highly recommend.

A-1 Carpet is the top of the line flooring for reasonable prices. Nadar is the most ethical salesperson, going into every detail and concern. His artistic eye is helpful and his architectural drafting skills shows when he is carefully estimating dimensions and exact calculations. We will always refer A-1 because of Nadar.

Just had our new carpet installed today! Great job Kevin!The installation team showed up at about 9:00 am, and Im thinking everything has gone well so far, lets see how they do. The two installers were really dialed in, they were very focused on the project to carpet our living room and dining room (one carpet wall to wall) and the master bedroom. The lead installer was detail oriented and together they did a wonderful job. Kevin stopped by to see how things were going and a little after 12:00 pm they started cleaning up, putting the furniture back and it looked great! A very efficient team. Kevin and Alex made us feel comfortable with their knowledge to help my wife and I find the carpet that was right for us.

I wouldnt let them in my home again if they paid me. The work was good when the task was just putting planks a top the original hardwood. But as soon as subfloor needed to be laid, the work turned to garbage (literally, they used garbage/trash as subfloor) and the denial and blame game started. It took about a year to resolve. Never again!

Great place for your flooring needs. We had three rooms that needed replacement flooring. Alex helped with all the details. The installers did a very nice install and completed the job in one day.

This carpet store is fantastic! The showroom is so conveniently located and the staff explained to me all my options. Delivery on time and installation without a hitch - quality is better than expected. I will definitely be using them again to do the upstairs next.

Amazing showroom with a ton of different hardwood samples.kevin was very helpful in assisting us in selecting the right carpet for our family room and hardwood flooring for our living and dining rooms. The installers for both products were very courteous and did a fabulous job of installing and clean up after. I would highly recommend A1carpet.

Alex and Kevin did a great job on our carpets and baseboards. Their quote was much less than their competitors and they got the job done on time. They even fixed our squeaky floor boards that were driving us nuts for years.

The installation guys left us waiting for a whole day and didnt show up. Now they left and the job is incomplete.

Very helpful staff and wide array of good options for flooring

I called several carpet stores in Thousand Oaks and I did not get a straight quote. When I called Mahshid in A1 CARPET she gave me an informative information that I looking for. I live about two hours from Thousand Oaks and Mahshid willing to give me a quote and install it without asking for an intial deposit. I was happy with their services and prompt delivery. I highly recomend and will come back for more. I am a real estate investor.
