I was walking my dog through the parking lot while my Durangos oil was getting changed at Briggs Dodge I had a question about a car on the lot they were very friendlymy dog and I come inside While they got me the information about the car everybody was nice to my dog gave him treats and belly rubs while they got the info I was looking for.
Mike was super helpful! Answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns. He spent a lot of time with us and was very intentional about making sure we had a positive experience and were taken care of :)
I recommend Briggs Subaru to anyone in the Subaru buying process. I felt safe and taken care of throughout the entire process. Buying a car is a long day. Its (somewhat) mentally draining, but it felt less so at Briggs. I chose Briggs over some Kansas City dealerships because of their inventory, and I stayed because of their service and commitment to my success at buying a car. 10/10 do recommend.

I found a car on the Briggs website that was in transit and asked when it would be available. Tim contacted me, and then gave me updates on the status of the car, and let me know the moment it arrived. My wife and I drove out (1.5 hrs away), met Tim, and did a test drive. Tim was great and had the car inside the showroom so we could talk briefly about it, then jump in and go. He was a pleasure to work with and made the whole process very easy! He also followed up a few days later to see how we were enjoying the car. Tony was also a pleasure to work with, and was very helpful during the purchase. Follow up to my earlier response to having trouble getting someone from Briggs Subaru to assist with questions. I received an email back with the sender shown as response from the owner and endeavoring to do better. It listed a phone number for me to call so I could explain my problem. I called it and got a recorded message on the switchboard. This is exactly why I feel yanked around. Does someone really want my sincere feedback? More specifically, I reported a cracked windshield (for which I had purchased insurance) in person 8 days ago. I finally returned in person on my own volition last Wed for the service department to assess it and run through the insurance company. I was told it should take a day or two to hear back. Its now Monday evening, five days later, and Ive not been notified. Further, the service rep told me I would likely require an OEM windshield but couldnt tell me if any were available. I didnt start out to complain; my response was to a Google questionnaire on how did we do? I thought some feedback would be useful to the dealership. So Briggs, I just bought an expensive vehicle, so you know where to find me.. Great vehicles. Sales team is good, too. But ... trying to get someone on the phone is hit or miss. Too many operators to go through, and then you have to leave a message and hope for a callback. Sometimes you dont get a call. Perhaps Briggs is too big for the message staff. My other car is a BMW, and I seldom wait to speak with someone, but if I do, I get a quick callback. Very customer oriented there.
Love my CrossTrek and have always had great service from the people at Briggs. Highly recommend.

I didn’t want a car payment my trade was paid off I wanted something new but wasn’t going to commit unless the deal was good. Peter and the Briggs team were awesome and I ended up with a great deal and a car I love. Best part they are not pushy like other dealerships.
After being lowballed on a written offer for my trade in at Briggs, yes, you read that correctly, AND being argued with about financing offers on the Subaru national website….for financing a vehicle that wasn’t on the lot yet.. I headed to McCarthy Subaru in Lawrence. You guys. A TOTALLY different experience. They gave me, without any hesitation, the written offer Briggs gave me, with photos and a VIN number. They did much of the preliminary paperwork by text and email because I didn’t have time to sit all day in a dealership, not to mention after my horrible experience at Briggs, I was over car dealerships. I was able to test drive a car over my lunch break, fill out a few documents, then go back after work, sign a few more things and drive out in my new car. A SEAMLESS, customer service oriented experience. Briggs, your service team is amazing. It’s too bad your sales team doesn’t match that. I will be recommending McCarthy to everyone!!!
Mike & Tony were of great help. We had dropped off our car for a repair and the loaner we had was amazing and we asked if we could purchase it or one identical to it. They explained that we could get one identical because they are not allowed to sell loaner vehicles for a certain amount of time. We were told we need to wait until sometime in October for a new arrival, but Tony found one at a partner dealer and got it sent here. Mike was very good at keeping us updated with the process and helping us get the paper work started and mostly done before we need to show up to help speed up the process. In total we spent about hour finishing paper work and then we were out the door. This is the second car we purchased from them and the service was outstanding both times.
As a whole I really like the Subaru dealership. I was a little disappointed on Wednesday regarding the gentleman who checked me in and out. I believe Nathan, did not necessarily care that I had driven 1 hour to get my oil changed and tires rotated. When Nathan told me my vehicle was ready there was nothing else said. I had to ask if everything was good on my car. I do not believe he even knew which car was mine. He is a very nice gentleman. Just not as thorough as the last gentleman I had check me out.
I had a great experience when bringing my Subaru crosstrek to Briggs Subaru for regular service and oil change. I arrived a little early for my appointment and was welcomed with no wait. The service was very fast and efficient; I only waited 35 minutes. My car was washed and vacuumed, as well.

I loved the service but the only thing I missed was the TV on while waiting and all other Subaru dealers offer snacks while you wait. The service was quick and very reasonable.
My husband and I just purchased a new 2021 Ascent Touring just 2 days ago. And I must say that we were very impressed with their services and such professional staff there. I took my car in for the recall rear bolt repair. I asked if they could look at my tires as my low tire light had recently come on. They found a piece of metal rod in my left rear tire causing it to lose air. They fixed it...without charging me!The service dept. goes out of their way to make sure the customers are taken care of.Everyone is friendly and eager to please!

I took my 2008 Subaru Outback here after it broke down on the side of the interstate. These guys were quick and efficient when it came to fixing my motor. Although having your motor break down is one of the worst things to happen, these guys made it bearable. Parts were ordered and the car was fixed within a few days of dropping it off. Very impressed, will continue to bring my car here if anything else happens. Props to Nathan in the service department for communicating everything thoroughly to me!

My service advisor was Nathanael, and he was great, as was the gentleman in the office where I picked up keys for a loaner vehicle. The mechanics completed the work more quickly than anticipated and had me heading home before more storms erupted, for which I was grateful!
We were traveling and had to stop at Briggs to check our ant-freeze level. They looked everything over for free. We then visited with the service advisor Nathan and another customer like we were family! Really was a perfect example of the Subaru family love! They explained what needed to be done and estimated the amount of time it would take. They offered a loaner vehicle so I could work at home and a free car wash for my Subaru. By far the best service department Ive ever used! Parts, service, loaner vehicles and staff are incredible!!The sales staff are the most condescending and disrespectful individuals you could imagine. They are the epitome of the stereotypical car salesman, depending on uneducated consumers and are argumentative in nature, even at basic questions. There is no consideration of customer service in the sales department of this dealership. I wouldnt send an enemy to buy a matchbox car from this organization.Overall a huge letdown and disappointment after so many years of superb customer service from the service department. Not only will we not be buying a vehicle from them again, but we will also be taking our service and maintenance needs elsewhere.

I had Tim McNeal recommended to me (by my parents who bought a car from him in ‘08) was very helpful and took time to show us our new cars feature’s! Bryan Schuster was a big help with understanding our monthly payments and billing paperwork. I came into Subaru and was greeted by Nathan who had a very positive attitude and told me it was going to be a great day. Being I had a check engine light on I did not feel it would be but it was a minor issue and Nathan was correct. Looked at vehicles for myself and my wife. Went to three other dealers in the area first but the selection was never really good. Took the trip to Briggs Topeka and was highly impressed with the selection. Peter from Subaru was our salesman and was relatively new; however, he did a fantastic job showing us around and answering questions. He didn’t BS us. It was nice to have a one-stop shop for all makes as my wife and I were looking for different things (Subaru and Ram). We were both able to find what we wanted and able to work within our budget. Definitely recommend having Briggs on your list when car buying.
Quickly got us a rental to go to Blind Tiger during our wait! Raspberry wheat beer and chicken fried chicken. Oh, yea, yummy..The service managers were personable and helpful. He showed me that, as I suspected, I needed an alignment.

Came in for a normal interval oil change. Prompt and courteous as always they did the servicing and gave it back after a car wash.The real above and beyond service came after I got on the road. The wash had caused some dirt to knock into the tire and caused a vibration. I came back and they did a inspection again and found the mud. They ensured it was fully fixed and heading home was as smooth as ever. Huge props for taking time from their schedule to make it right.

June 9, 2021 I just upgraded from my 2015 Crosstrek to a 2021 Outback. Peter and Travis are so unbelievably efficient. They are totally respectful of your time and communication cannot be better!!To be very transparent, I bought my Crosstrek from Travis a few years ago and he is the reason (aside from the outstanding quality of the Subaru) that I went right back to the same dealer and salespersons. It was a pleasure buying my car from Briggs Subaru of Topeka. They were able to find the exact model I wanted and had it delivered the next day. The salesman was very knowledgeable about all the vehicles. They were upfront about prices and financing was very simple. I never felt pressured during my entire experience.

Brought my car in for an oil change, break light recall, and tire rotation. I left the dealership and it was done in an appropriate amount of time. Very pleased with the service.
Had a recall on my airbags and made an appointment here. It was quick and easy. When I arrived the service desk was very friendly and made sure I didnt have to step foot in the rain. Service was quick and they had me out in no time. The only thing negative is I found a clip on the floor that didnt get put back in but Im sure if I looked around i could figure out where it goes. Overall, if I lived closer (not from the area) I would go back for sure.

Made an appointment for an oil change and get my battery checked. They called the day before to confirm what work I wanted done. Arrived at appointed time and was told I needed 120k miles work to the tune of $860 and 5.5 hrs of work! I wish they had told me that the day before when they called. They did give a loaner car which I appreciated.Charged me an additional $30 to test my battery, but couldn’t t be bothered to reset the clock in my car.Ended up paying over $1000 when I was expecting to pay for an oil change.

Car shopping has always given me anxiety. Hated it. The whole experience. Hated it. My husband and I would always drive thru the lots on Sundays when the dealerships were closed to avoid being hounded by salesmen. HOWEVER, the past three experiences with Briggs has changed my feeling for car shopping, for the better! Our first sales guy at Briggs was Chris, it was a few years ago with our Caravan purchase. A few years later we returned to Chris and purchased our Ram. This week we found ourselves at Briggs again with Danny. Danny was so laid back, down to earth, and the farthest thing from pushy as we have ever experienced! Thank you Danny!! The service we received from all we encountered during this shopping experience was very pleasant, we look forward to our next purchase with you and the Briggs team!
Ive bought and sold a few cars in my life but this was one of my best experiences ever. I worked with Brandon and honestly I gave him an impossible task. Less than $200 a month for a car big enough to hold a family and car seat with just an old truck for a trade in. It took him 2 days to find me the nicest car Ive ever owned!Bryan the general manager was always nice when my family was in the dealership. Brandon bent over backwards to help me find what I needed and the finance manager Tim helped me get approved for a low interest loan and a warranty while keeping my payment where I needed it!Id recommend Briggs Subaru to anyone looking for a good new or used vehicle.
I made contact with Briggs on the 22nd of April to replace my airbag since there was an immediate recall on my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX. I called them on the 23rd to see if I could tow my car to them because my brakes werent working and the car was inoperable. I kept checking up with them on the servicing of my vehicle after I towed it there and called on the 29th at 10:30 am to see if they had finally worked on it and diagnosed the issue. The service manager then informed me that my vehicle that had actually been broken into, and that two of my windows had been shattered as well as everything else had been taken, except a brand new low-profile jack that was in the backseat. Over $500 in my property was taken from me, including tools, subwoofers, my box, amp, wiring, head-unit, and radio. They never even let me know that my car was broken into, nor did they even file a police report. I had to call up Topeka PD myself. I called Briggs back on the 29th at 12:10 PM and asked for video surveillance of the crime and the service manager said he would call me back soon. I never got a call for over 3-hours so I called back and talked to the General Manager, Shane Sommars, and he told me they didnt have any cameras and that because my car was in their public lot they would have just as much liability as if my car got broken into at a Walmart, therefore It wasnt his property or his problem. My dad was in correspondence with Briggs too and they lied to him telling him that they had sent me an email the morning of the 29th explaining what had happened. They never sent me anything and barely communicated as it is. Following this, I posted a bunch of bad reviews on their google page, so they finally agreed to pay for the windows. After this, they ordered the wrong window for my car and I didnt get my car back till the 11th of May. I was without a car for over 3 weeks because of this and I wasnt even able to get to work this whole time. When I received my car back, broken glass was still strewn all across my cars floor and seats and I ended up cutting myself a few times on tiny pieces of glass even after i vacuumed it out. They were trying to charge me over 14,000 dollars to repair everything wrong with my car in their report so I towed it to Performance Auto in Topeka instead. Over at this shop they told me that a few major parts of my car that were listed as in Critical condition and needed replacement immediately were perfectly fine and that the mechanics at Briggs were more than likely just trying to get more of a commission off of me. The original problem with the brakes that Briggs had diagnosed was a broken rear left caliper, when in reality, both of my calipers were perfectly fine and this whole time the only thing my car needed to run was a brake fluid change. Briggs also never reset my security system, so now whenever I unlock my car my alarm goes off. To fix this problem it will cost me another $200 dollars. DO NOT EVER GO HERE, they will treat you like a child and they arent actual mechanics, they just sell cars here. Thanks Briggs for being so helpful. I included a few photos of some glass they didnt bother to pickup .

I used Briggs for the first oil change after purchasing my Outback through them - both experiences were superb. Got a free car wash and vacuum withy the oil change and he advised me to hold on changing my windshield wipers when he could have easily charged me for them that day. Honest and good customer care - what more do you need.

Had my 2013 Subaru outback diagnosed by my local mechanic as I live 90 miles away. It was not a problem they wanted to tackle (transmission valve body). Briggs Subaru confirm the diagnosis and had it fixed as well as an oil leak around the timing chain cover by 2:30 in the afternoon. I was very impressed with the speed with which they fix my problem. Top notch service and communication!
