The most recent experience was ok. The previous experience was not. I took a short trip after taking my car to Nissan in Topeka, and i ended up having to stop to another dealer, a Nissan in Des Moines, who actually informed me about the lousy job they had done in Topeka and that is why i had to stop for a quick repair with them. I was really disappointed, since i only take my car to the Nissan in Topeka.

I thought it was comical though. I filled out the information about my vehicle, color, tag #, etc. I was sitting in waiting area and the guy came in asking for my key. I stated it was in the vehicle. He swore it was not. I again said it was. We both walked out. I walked to the left, him to the right, to an ORANGE vehicle, me to my Grey vehicle. BOOM, the key was in my vehicle. Thought that was the point of filling that information out.

I called back several times to find status...if I have to hear Nick Nissan on recording one more time after being passed off to people! Had my oil changed. Easy process and the communication along the way was great. I sat in the lobby and worked remotely while I waited — about an hour.

The service was friendly and thorough. The shuttle service was great and got me to work on time. My only suggestion would be to let customers know exactly where their car is parked. I had to walk a lot of the lot trying to guess which car was mine until I got close enough to press the alarm button.

I found a car on line, at noon I called the dealership, had someone immediately get me to Lee Barrios, and after just a few minutes, he gave me a list of questions about my trade in, a few pictures, and boom! Hi, My name is Mark Harwood. I was a hopeful prospective customer. I went in today in hopes of a purchasing a new Nissan Rogue. I might add that I was there two weeks earlier and made an offer that was below the invoice price on a vehicle and was informed that they were firm to the invoice price... well, fair enough. Today, I figure since they gave up trying so easy the last time, I would ask why they didnt pursue me to gain my business considering Im a local with added future business to their shop and future sales. I was then informed that they were now selling at $2000.00 above invoice! I mean I was already extended an offer, and literally it went up 2000.00$ over 2 weeks, as it to punish me for not taking it two weeks ago! I guess they dont want my business and loyalty, so I wont feel bad going out of town or state to buy. The initial sale is one thing, but as a customer, I value the after sale of service and repeat business and word of mouth. I guess Ive seen their true colors. Guess when cars are plentiful again, and they soon will be, how many people like myself wont soon forget how they were recieved by people that care more about the dealership owners, or manufacturers of their products. By the way, this was not some special car that you would ever expect to pay above invoice for, it was a Nissan Rogue, middle of the line SL model! I like what I hear about the vehicle and the service department, but they are misguided in the area of sales! Everything is negotiable. Remember, cash can be used anywhere, cars like this 2021 that is already a year old have a short shelf life, think about that when their talking you into purchasing GAP insurance. I wonder how many people are going to say, Im not buying last years model at todays price, SLASH IT! Believe me, this hold out for a buck will cost Capitol city Nissan in the long run. Thats just bad business!

I took my car in due to having the same issues I had last summer when they told me I needed a new transmission. This time they told me that the transmission was out of warranty, the one that they had replaced six months prior. I stated that I did not receive any information of the warranty and it was six months old, that I shouldnt pay for it. Then after two days then changed their mind and told me it was my catalytic converter and it would cost $1500. I pulled my car from the shop after being lied to for three days. Took it to another mechanic and confirmed it wasnt my transmission nor the catalytic converter. They hadnt even touched the bolts to the converter as the bolts were still grimy and two bolts broke right off due to the corrosion. So instead of the $1500 Nissan told me that it would cost to fix my car it was $148.06. So what would of happened if I paid the $1500, my car still had issues and I take it back and they charge me more. Being a younger woman with no knowledge of cars, I took it to Capital City to trust them with it. I had to select one star, but they defiantly DO NOT deserve even one!

The salesman who helped me was wonderful and took care of everything to make the buying process so easy. Financing was easy.

Was the worst. I made my appointment on 3/17 to bring my car in for an airbag recall on 4/7. The part was not there which was ordered on 4/1 per technician. Said part did not arrive until 4/9 and I was not able to pick my car up until 4/10 only bc I was persistent. There was no communication unless I called and when told I would get a return phone call I did not except from Randy who didnt know anything about what was going on.In my opinion the part needed should have been ordered within a few days after the appointment was made not 4days before my scheduled 730am appointment. If there had only been better communication I wouldnt have any issues but the lack thereof is unacceptable.

I went for an oil change. They forgot to put back the screws that hold the bottom plastic cap. The thing fell, and when I was backing up. It grabbed a ton of snow from the ground. I spent 2 hours fixing this because I had left to Oklahoma and it was Jan 1st, so no place was available to help me fix this. I will be coming back soon for them to fix it, and they better not ask for any payments!

Changed fanbelt and tensioner pulley as requested. Technician also noticed the brake fluid and coolant needed to be flushed and replaced.

Was told by there text line that a car that was on there website was at the dealership.Set up a appointment to drive it the next day decided to stop in the day before to look at it and was told by a salesman that it was on the lot and it was just sent to Hyundai to have a new engine replaced. This salesman then told us that the guy we have just spoken had “surgery” and wasn’t aware they had sent it over.
