There are a couple excellent employees here that are super helpful with product usage and description and they are also very kind. Unfortunately, my last visit here ended very negatively. I was adding to my google maps contributions and asked an employee if it was okay that I captured a 360 photo sphere of the entrance and she said that was fine. I chose to take the shot right inside the door thinking it would give viewers the feel of just stepping right into the store. I was almost finished when I was approached by 4 employees telling me that I need to stop taking photos and leave the store immediately. Needless to say I was super embarrassed and I cancelled the photo that I attempted to capture. Not only that, after I kindly stopped taking the picture and was beginning to leave one of the girls made me show her my cell phone to prove that the “pictures” I was taking were erased. I obliged and then exited the store and contacted corporate. It’s sad that people have to act that way. If they didn’t want me taking a picture they could have approached me in a nicer more professional manner and asked me to stop, but they chose to be ugly, aggressive and and rude by kicking me out. I hope that they see this review and learn from their mistakes. I will never shop at this location again.
Took my daughter in to use a gift card and all the workers were very helpful. Store was very clean
Well, I’ve only been to this Sephora once. So I might not have gotten the “full” rude experience of other customers who have been in there multiple times. The staff was nice, the lady that helped me out was around her 50’s. She was sweet and talkative. But most of the employees don’t even look like they know anything about makeup.
I visited with my mom while in town and both employees knew their products very well and were so friendly and helpful to my mom. I really appreciated it! They were working around 1pm on 9/6/19. Seeing how patient they were with my mom just made my day!!
My experience at this Sephora today started out great and ended horribly. Shortly after entering, an employee greeted me and offered help. I described what I was looking for and she pointed me to a couple options, and checked on me while I tried them out. I would have given this a 5 star review had this type of customer service lasted my entire shopping trip. When I was ready to check out I stood behind another customer in line who was chatting with the cashier. I stood there for a couple of minutes before I realized she wasnt a customer, she was another employee that wasnt working. I moved closer to the check out desk to be noticed but they continued to talk and ignore me. When the employee at check out finally acknowledged me, she continued her conversation with her friend during our entire transaction. I had a gift card and after swiping it, the keypad asked for the gift card # on the back. There are 3 different and very long numbers on the back... so I began typing in these long number and nothing is working. This was extremely frustrating because I also had my 2 year old in a stroller trying to keep him happy during this ridiculously long transaction AND instead of helping me process the gift card, the employee talked to her friend THE ENTIRE TIME. It was actually the employees friend that ended up helping me process the card after she saw how long this was taking. The cashier acted like I was incompetent for not understanding which of the 3 long numbers I was supposed to type in. I have never had such a horrible checkout experience. Ive worked in retail/customer service type jobs my entire life, so I understand how it can be frustrating on the employees end. However, you should never ignore or treat a customer the way I was treated today. After seeing the other reviews on here it looks like the store needs a manager change and attitude adjustment.
I needed to have my foundation matched but was a little hesitant/nervous to visit this store based off these reviews. I have to say I had an excellent experience. Not only did they take the time to match my foundation but also helping find other products I was interested in and ensuring everything applied the way I wanted. I was very pleased with my experience and will definitely be back.
Horrible experience. The staff is either misleading or they are truly uneducated about their products. Also, incredibly unhelpful and rude.
Haley was amazing in helping me choose a cologne. Her customer service is unmatched. Very clean atmosphere, store looks great.
Employees are very rude. Walked around the whole store and not one employee asked if I needed help, they all just stood at the front talking to each other. When I found what I was looking for I went to the front to purchase it and to return something I bought online. The lady behind the counter continually yelled at me for not having my receipt as they won’t take the order information sheet that their company sends with your online order. I told her it was on my rewards account and that I can just pull it up on my phone. She continually acted put out and annoyed that I was there. When I finally got my order pulled up she reluctantly accepted it. Funny thing is is she wasn’t the person helping me, she was just another employee behind the counter. Won’t be going back.
A couple months ago I would not have given more than 1 star due to lack of customer service...Recently however they have changed management and majority of staff I think and they are so helpful! Donna and Tarsha know the products they are selling!I think they are both licensed cosmetologist and I know the new manager is for sure, so you are being helped by professionals Which imo makes a big difference. If you shopped there in the past and felt like I did you should give it another try!
Love many things in this store but their prices are too high for me
No one asked if I needed help, the employees just rolled there eyes at me and was extremely rude. The employees kept looking at themselves in the mirrors. When I asked where the dior mascara was I just got a dirty look and she wasn’t helpful.I finally found the mascara and then waited 10 mins to get checked out. The employees were sitting talking about going out instead of ringing me up.So I would recommend NEVER going to this location.
Staff knew their products... They are always helpful and polite. No complaints!
Had a great experience at this new Sephora! Store was clean and well organized despite just having their grand opening and being packed with customers. Customer service was excellent, I can remember her name but a gal helped me get everything I needed from new brushes, the new fenty foundation, contouring kit and mascara. Will definitely be going back!
Not very welcoming. One employee acted offended that I returned a product and had a very unpleasant and annoyed tone through out the entire process. After I was done with her I intended on making another purchase but wasnt offered any assistance until I made two laps around the store looking lost. A different employee helped me but she wasnt enthusiastic about it all. This is why I will shop at Ulta or directly from the manufacturer going forward.
4 of the 5 times I have been here in the past year they are out of stock of what I wanted to buy. Not just one product but lots of things are out of stock every single time, not to mention a HUGE Mess and totally unorganized. Samples are always missing or in the wrong place. One time some nice employees offered to ship the product to me for free. Other times no help offered just ‘sorry’ or ‘if you don’t see it on the shelf we don’t have it.’ Well thanks. Once I went there just a week later hoping the NARS concealer in my color was back in stock but nope, even fewer options than before. Maybe consider restocking one of the most popular concealers more than once a year, darlings. Such a wreck compared to every other Sephora I’ve been to. I pay too much for these products for the shopping experience to resemble that of a a rundown big box store the day after Black Friday.
The gal who took care of me answered all my questions, was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional.
Worst Sephora I have ever been to. The employees look at you in a judgy manner from the minute you step in and walk around without even trying to help you. When I finally got ones attention and asked her where a certain product was located she just flat out told me they were out and walked away. Really upsetting after being super excited for this Sephora but I will definitely be making the drive to Ulta for much friendlier and better employees.
I shop all the time at Sephora and came here for the second time because of the great selection and not overly crowded. But I tried to check out for 5 minutes and still no one came up to the register, until someone was helping a customer than someone came up but at that moment I still was waiting and it was just a couple items I needed to get with no questions needed to be asked. so I went up to another employee and she rudely said there is someone at the register already. I don’t think anyone should wait ten minutes to check out of a store that small, on top of that I am a rouge member and I spend a quite of bit of money there and have been to multiple Sephora’s and never have I been treated like that. I left my stuff and went to another Sephora. If you can go to another sephora, I suggest ya do. Horrible customer service!
As an retail worker with almost 10 years of experience, I have to say that my visits to this Sephora have been some of the worst I have ever had.I have been to this Sephora 7-9 times since it has opened in September, and all but two have been unpleasant. The women who work here, when I see them, never greet or make sure customers are doing okay. I have been here on three accounts where I have to wait for a few minutes to even have someone realize there is someone at the register. My last experience at this Sephora was a mismark on an item. I was told to just not expect it to be that (sale) price anymore. Which is fine, but I am sure there was another delivery that would have came off as less rude (to which the girl even addressed it by saying, Im not trying to be rude).I think this was the last straw. I will shop online or drive to Manhattan or Oak Park Mall instead.
The dirtiest and messiest sephora i have ever been to as well. I got that from the first five minutes of walking into the store. The employees were not helpful. There were only two girls working on a saturday night. It was the weirdest sephora experience i have ever had. I doubt i will be going there anymore. I will stick to the overland park location in kansas city. Also one of the girl employees kept rolling her eyes and staring at me when i had a question and the worst part about it was she didnt even help or answer my question. She couldnt look up my points but the other employee did when i went to a different register. It was my first time going to this sephora and i doubt i will be going back to this particular one.
The girls seems like they were too busy standing around and just staring at you. They didnt greet me the three times ive been there. I felt like they just ignore you, unless they have to make contact with you.
Had an incredibly helpful consultant, who showed me how to wear makeup like a human instead of a garbage monster.
Good service and make up
Snotty, catty employees. Not a wide selection either.
