I really enjoyed my shopping experience today at Fred Meyer. I was helped by John from electronics and I really appreciate his kindness and helpfulness. I will definitely shop here again because of the positive way that I was treated.
Happened upon this store in late November of last year when I was in the Portland area of Oregon on holiday. Recently, something has been brought to my memory that prompted me to write a review. I met a long haired young lady named Jocelyn who assisted me when looking for travel-size toiletries. Uncommonly kind and a terrific conversationalist. A real pleasure. Made my day during a very stressful time for me. I was also impressed with the cashier’s swiftness and friendliness at checkout.Overall, I haven’t been to a better staffed grocery store since. Great job.
Best checkout experience at this Fred Meyer! This evening around 9:30pm went through the checkout where Chaz was the cashier and did an awesome job! Was super quick and friendly and also considerate, also the young gentleman bagging the groceries (wish I knew his name) he was fast, friendly and very polite. These two deserve some recognition hands down. Went above and beyond, thanks so much! Definitely will continue to go to this freddys!
Clean store with shiny floors. Come in only if you know what you are looking for and where it is located in the store. Talked to 4 staff members, they either were not helpful, or knowledgeable of the store layout.
Fred Meyer is a surprisingly good store that has good prices and helpful staff. They’re located just off of I5, and there’s always parking spots available, even during peak hours. It definitely helps that they’re so close to other businesses, like a teriyaki place and a Cold Stone between the store and the interstate. The biggest downside is the preordering of groceries. I’ve tried this several times before and my order has been wrong every time, with several items forgotten. Aside from that, Fred Meyer is a great store and an excellent alternative to Walmart.
My husband and I went into Tualatin Fred Myers today for the LAST time!!! The manager Steve was helpful but EVERYONE ELSE there acts like they could care less. NEVER going back
Store is very clean. To find an associate for help I had to call the customer service number, twice. Service person was helpful. Maybe hire a few more
Need quicker cashiers and better baggers.
I’m a regular Fred Meyer shopper but I will not be going to this one again. The two workers I interacted with during my shopping trip were short and condescending. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable while getting groceries.
Our Go to Place for Shopping. Certain areas are confusing like the green leaf section, not sure if they are organics only or vegan only. Staff is amazingly helpfull and polite. Avaiability for produce and grocery is always good.
Waited 35+ minutes at the pharmacy. Slow staff and not helpful. Go to the Wilsonville location and save yourself some time and effort.
Bought two furniture pieces from a sectional set: the corner piece and one side with the arm rest on the right side. However, they gave us the wrong side piece. We took it back in, and the manager, Dave, came out and apologized, which was really nice! Mistakes happen. When we they gave us what we assumed was the right piece, we brought it home again, opened it and they had given us the wrong piece ... AGAIN! Well, sometimes mistakes happen twice, no biggie, but we assume that the manager would come out and take responsibility. When we arrived at the store, FOR THE THIRD TIME, Dave sent out two of his workers to unload the wrong piece and ensure the right one was delivered. He had offered us a $20 gift card over the phone, but when we got there to finally get the right piece, the employees told us we had to go BACK INTO THE STORE and get the gift card. Dave didn’t bring the gift card to us, but inconvenienced us yet again by asking us to go into the store to get it. Due to them costing us four hours of our day off of work, we decided to forego the gift card and just drive home with the right piece, finally. My biggest issue here is accountability. Manager Dave did not take accountability and his customer service was insufficient, inadequate, and downright poor. Will never be buying furniture, or any big item for that matter, from Fred Meyer’s again, at least until the issue has been corrected.
Review Subject: Grocery Pickup ServiceIf youre looking for grocery pickup I would look elsewhere. Checked in with the correct parking spot number and received notification that my pickup was being worked on. This was my first time using their pickup service. They seemed a bit busy so I accepted that it might take a while for them to get to my order. However, after nearly an hour there were significantly fewer cars waiting and I still had not received my groceries. I called the Pickup department and was told that my order had been cancelled. I received no notification or reason for the cancellation. After a short delay they managed to put together my order. I was frustrated but grateful that the trip wasnt a total loss. However, once I got home and unpacked my groceries I found a number of items were missing and substituted without them saying anything at the pickup. What should have been a 30 minute round trip ended up taking over two hours, and Ill still have to go back to replace the mistaken items. I understand that mix-ups happen, but I was really disappointed with the quality of their pickup service and I am unlikely to use it again.
Elizabeth was great today at checkout. After the storm from hell she made my whole day by ringing me up so fast. Keep up the good work Elizabeth!!!
Has a bunch of stuff but NO nongmo or organic tortilias. NO onion rings and NOT a package of seeds (not raw, not salted, none at all)
Out of all the places Ive been during the pandemic, no place supports covid transmission as much as this Fred Meyer. No hand sanitizer, and cart wipes are hit or miss.More importantly, 4 out of 5 times I go here I have to argue over a price discrepancy. Whoevers in charge of prices and sales and scanner information needs to be replaced. This place is horrible when it comes to price updates.I only go here because it is close.
The girl that checked us out was so nice, friendly, and joyful.
In theory, a one-stop-serves-all store is a timesaver, but there are two things about Fred Meyer stores that I don’t like: the grocery section has a confusing layout and their produce is of sub-par quality. When I meal plan, I write my shopping list in order of aisle, which works at most grocery stores and saves me a ton of time. At Fred Meyer, it’s a scavenger hunt and I get frustrated enough to cross this place off my list of regular stops. Their bright spot: cheap plants. Black mondo grass is 60% less than at nurseries; heuchera (coral bells) as well. I’ve bought some nice hostas and beautiful columbine flowers at a big discount.
I went in yesterday to pick up a google home as I had seen that it was on sale for $29.99. That’s 70% off! I was super excited to get started with my smart home and after finding a Fred Meyer associate, Dave, he kindly unlocked the case and walk me to the front with the Google Home.He has even commented on the fact that is was so cheap. When the cashier rang up the Google Home it rang as $99.99 and at this point Dave had returned to work. I stuttered “the tag said $30” She was very snooty and snapped at me saying “I don’t care what the tag said it’s $99. I said I could go take a picture she said no, I asked what I could do she said she would call the guy back over I said that works perfect. When I got back Dave was back there and turns out it was a Father’s Day deal that had expired. He assured me that he would make this right and walk up with me to make sure I got it at the advertised price of $29.99. I had been thinking about getting the device all day and was devastated when I heard it was $100. Thanks to Dave I got the device I wanted and didn’t have to miss out on this amazing deal. This interaction made my day. Thank you Dave for being an amazing associate and I hope someone sees this and gives you a raise.
My favorite store by far
My wife and I went to Tualatin Fred Meyers to turn in our cans and water bottles. Almost all were purchased at this store. We recieved about $10 apiece.. When we went in to redeem our tickets the manager said we could return 240 each. She was rude about it.My wife spends $800 to $1000 a month at this store. We are 57yrs and 62yrs old.We were not scamming the store. Another couple about our age did the samething we did. But this guy wasnt leaving without his money. Long story short I think we will go to new seasons across the street.
Meat department employee filling orders from the case with her mask below her nose. No thanks.Treat BottleDrop users like criminals.Everything else was fine.
I know people want to get home for the holidays but dont post your hours as being open until 6pm when you are turning everyone away at 5:45. I needed one small item. I couldve self checked and been out by 6. If you and your staff dont want to work Christmas eve than find other jobs or just post your correct hours so that people like me dont run here thinking we can get the one thing we need and then get turned away 15 minutes before the posted hours stated youd be open. Im so upset right now. I begged to be let in and the manager here and the employees are apparently heartless. I couldve gone to a different store but you said youd be open until 6PM! JERKS!
We drive quite a ways to shop here. They have a lot of organic products, their meat counter is one of the best Ive ever seen. Best of all, the service you receive is top notch.
U can get everything here from soup to nuts
Good customer services here. I do not know the manager, but kudos to the person. Kudos to your employees at the bottle drop, the boy and also it Jessica or something . Kudos to the little islanders girl who works at the cashier
Customer service was very rude. Self checkout service helper who is asian lady around 40-50 age refused to give a manner for customer. When I ask her about the price, her attitude was like why dont you know this simple thing? Are you kidding me? Yes I didnt know the price will change after Ive read my customer card from the original price. Thank you so much to teaching me with your rude and irritated attitude.
They hate me cause im old. tried walking me out. will not be returning.
I want to make this review for Lumen in the bakery. She made my week and saved a birthday party cake situation. I was in a birthday cake emergency for a 4 year old with specific requests of pink and purple hearts cake with a blue horse and mermaid on top. I ordered a cake at Albertsons Wednesday and they told me it would be ready to pick up Friday, I showed up Friday and i was told no one made the cake. The next morning (day of the birthday party) I go to Fred Meyer Tualatin and bought a premade plain white cake sheet and Lumen was busy working on another cake at the time but she stopped what she was doing, and happily told me she can decorate it for me. In only about 5 minutes she decorated it so perfectly! Better than what I imagined. The cake was good and so beautiful. Lumen really made my week.
Subject grocery pick up:I ordered several items yesterday afternoon around 2pm for pick up the next day. No fewer than 10 items were marked out of stock because you were WAXING THE FLOORS?!?! So from 2 pm yesterday to 8am this morning the store was unwalkable? Thats ridiculous. Now the entire point of doing an online order is negated. High risk individuals do online orders for a reason and I understand things being OOS because thats natural but the excuse is just not ok. There really needs to be a convo had with whoever was in charge of orders, I order consistently with you and that service is just unacceptable.
Customer service area was rude for no reason. Two people that refused to even consider common sense. However the older lady that bagged my groceries was very nice.
The nicest largest FM in the area.
Took my recyclables on July 1 and came back today July 6 to use my voucher to buy some groceries and drinks. The older woman is like “I can’t cash this because it’s past date” it was $14.40 the max allowed because I had come back a second time due to recycle limits. I can understand older vouchers but seriously 5 days. I pay the deposit but I’m not entitled to my money. I guess it’s time to shop at other grocery stores. What a joke Fred Myer.
I went early, easy in and check out, some seasonal out of stock.
Fully stocked shelves. Quality and very fresh produce!
This is the only place I can find great products. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
This place needs more cashiers.
Good store to shop at the staff are always 2 ft near if you have any questions.
The peaple,in dely with glove and who use for everyone with that t sell the food and dont use tenas an have a very bad character
Every time I go to the over 60 shopping time, there are too many FM personal shoppers and store employees stocking shelves! Today, I counted at least two dozen, sometimes two and three in one aisle. This defeats the purpose of giving us shopping times without so many people. When there are just us over 60 shoppers, we social distance pretty well, but it is impossible to do this with all of those FM employees among us. Why not give them the 6-7a hour, and give us the 7-8a hour?
No notice to longtime customers that they discontinued returns on most items. When I went to checkout around 10pm last night they only had one checker and bagger, with a long line of people. While the wait was moderate, the poor workers were exhausted, sweating, and working at a crazy pace to try to keep up with customers with no downtime to clean or take a breath. Ive seen a few instances where Id think the company should be taking better care of their employees, providing them better support, and this was one of them. The employees were working like rockstars and should have good support. I wont get into how FM was handling the pandemic poorly earlier on, since it seems to have improved since then. Plus for always having sanitizing wipes for the carts.
Their customer service is the absolute worse! I went in this Morning to make a purchase. The floor manager named Houston was so rude & unprofessional. He was being so condescending. In all my time as a customer I have never been treated in this manner. Save yourself the hassle & shop elsewhere.
Isabella and Cheyene act they are whole foods quality with dollar tree mentality. This will be my last day shopping there.Poor customer service is putting it mildly. Also Cheyene if the customer doesnt want to talk politics with you why do you feel the need to be so vocal about being a Trump supporter I really dont care im there for food not you.
Buyer Beware: this store has THREE entrances. Today I parked “near the door” and had to walk around the entire building searching for my car.
Left my cart 1 aisle over for about 10 minutes while my kid wandered and looked at toys. Came back and the cart with all my stuff was gone. Ridiculous.
Yesterday afternoon I went into Freddies to purchase spices and veggies for a soup and tea I wanted to make from the cancer kitchen cookbook to help my husband with his chemo treatments. I felt lost as I had never heard of some of the herbs. I asked a rep named Cari for help in the produce department and wow she was amazing!!! She took me to the different departments to find all the spices needed and was so kind and caring and such a major help! I hope the Fred Meyer management team knows what an asset they have in Cari! Thank you so much Cari!!! The soup and the tea both turned out great!!
The pharmacy staff really are the most unhelpful and rude. Don’t fill on time and don’t call you if they can’t fill. I needed glucose test strips for my son and they told me they don’t do that at retail level take my prescription elsewhere. Which I will be doing. Worst pharmacy experience ever
Was in and out for a Bottle Drop ticket tonight. There was an issue with the kiosk printer. Met with Houston, I think a front end manager. He was nice, asked someone else, and helped cash me out...despite an issue with the printing. Thank you for saving me time in addressing the printed ticket. I appreciate it.
Horrible customer service! Unprofessional associates especially in furnitures. They show case a product to sale but don’t have it in stock and won’t assist with nearby stores that might have it. Waited for an hour just to get a rude associate. I will never shop here even for just milk.
👍
Customer service could be better. There was a tall older lady who wouldn’t help me and said she was on the phone with someone else. Rude and classless. Still help the customer even when you’re busy.
Great produce selection. Convenient bottle drop right in the parking lot. I didnt get to the household section so I really dont know whats going on with that area. Would recommend if youre in a hurry to pick up some flowers this is the place to go.
This Fred Meyers restored my faith in Customer Service. We placed an order for delivery, but never received our order. FM uses a third party, InstaCart, to complete deliveries. The store manager went as far as to fulfill our order and comp’d it to make matters right.
Your employee Cheyenne at the Tualatin store was working at one of the registers. A customer the day before Thanksgiving made a remark that Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday. Cheyenne quick responded that she hated the holiday and that the pilgrims were criminals killing so many Indians. Really Fred Meyer? This is the kind of customer service you provide?
I like that they have most everything you might need, even beyond groceries - plants, clothing, basic hardware, housewares, deli, pharmacy, etc etc etc.But I dont like that they are increasing the check-out kiosks and decreasing how many checkers are working. I prefer seeing humans have jobs. Kiosks are fine for those who like them, but please, keep more humans checking.
Great selection of any form of food you could possibly desire, and fairly common staff to guide you in the correct direction if necessary. Clothing selection isnt the best, nor the worst. Shoe selection is excellent, and people willing to help with shoes are somewhat helpful and easy to find. Ive never seen anyone have major problems with the store, and feel its an okay replacement for the old Hagen.
Worst Customer service at self checkout. Sales deals where Fake and was getting charged for items that were on deals of 2 for this price or on buy 1 get on free. Totally bogus charging. Clerk would ignore walking past customers several times til customers had to ask for help after 4 minutes on call for customer service help. Clerks wouldn’t listen asking for help. Left store empty handed
Very hard to negotiate, some aisles were squared and fairly simple to get around, but others were at an angle and ran into some of the squared ones. I wanted to get some loose bulk foods, finally found the ties and bags, but no way to mark the bags with the bin#, and some bins werent at all very well markedNo real delineation between clothing, groceries, produce, garden center (I almost went in that door, thinking it was a main entrance), and many of the other departments, although it actually looked like they were trying to segregate departments, it just didnt work well. I just kept wandering, hoping Id find my way to an exit or someone to help.Ive been to many Fred Meyer stores over the years and they were always very easy to get around in, to find what you wanted without difficulty, but I will probably NEVER go in this one (Tualatin on SW Martinazzi Ave) again. Total confusion.
I use their grocery pickup aka ClickList feature and they are always fast and friendly. If they are out of something, they offer a good substitute. I only wish it was located closer to me since I live in Sherwood.
Fred Meyer Click List in Tualatin is amazing. Vanessa & Isabelle are fantastic. They go above and beyond to make sure you get what you need and are treated great. I order my weekly groceries from this location and drive out of my way just to make sure I see these two people. I know I will be taken care of in a wonderful manner. Thank you Ladies for everything you do.!
Ive shopped a lot at this Fred. They keep it pretty clean and organized. The butcher did a really fine job seasoning a 5 pound pork shoulder for us once. There are plenty of self-checkouts which I love. Would recommend.
Within distance one stop shopping
Great selection and prices on almost anything. Friendly and helpful staff, the self-checkouts are very easy to utilize. The price might be a little tiny bit higher than some markets, but the convenience of the location makes it well worth it. Great produce, natural and local foods, clothes, home items; you can get most things that youd need right there.
Cheers for their early hour for seniors. Less crowded but busy and everyone looking out for each other. Fred Meyer has it all under one roof. Reasonable prices and usually helpful staff. Watch for special sales. Being a shoppers card member has great benefits.
They have pretty much everything you want from groceries to clothing to hardware. Store brands are surprisingly good, especially for food. Decent prices, good loyalty card program offering cash back and gasoline discounts. Some of the stores even have gas stations with better than average prices. Discount program also works at Shell stations.
Johnathan helped me pick up a large assortment of chairs and tables. He was courteous and professional. This store is lucky to have him!
I think its kind of pointless to rate Freddys as a grocery store (theyve got that down), so I figured I could rate their clothing department. Great selection, good sales almost all the time. Wouldve been five stars except for the kiddy traps-the strategically placed kiosks full of leftover Valentines day candy for 90% off, a different Paw Patrol product at every intersection, etc etc. For a budget-minded father of four, these seemingly harmless, randomly placed sales items equal an extra $20 at checkout, almost every time. Damn you, marketing department!
This is one of the better Fred Meyers.
The parking was very easy got inside the store is big thats really nice I love the setup a lot of helpful employees everyone wants to try to help prices are kind of high but its worth it I adore the play area for the kids you can drop your children off the air and let them play watch movies while you shop every store should have this its just wonderful found everything I was looking for plus things that I was not looking for I would definitely recommend this store for all of your needs rather it be grocery needs clothing shoes for infants to adults nice things so thats my experience I hope you have a great experience also
Great store, service, and selection! Really I have had no problems with anything. The prices are really nice and are better if you join their rewards program. They have almost everything you would need for your daily routine.
I wish there were a designated exit from I-5 that would go right into the parking lot of this FredMeyer store. Currently, every time I visit the store on my way from work, I have to waste extra 5 min waiting at 2 or 3 traffic lights - all just to get to the parking lot.One thing that makes this FredMeyer store different from others is that here you can find a decent selection of German and other imported beers (not available at other FM stores).
Worst service I have ever had will not be shopping here again.k
One of the main stores in Tualatin to shop at. This specific store has a fair amount of items. There is no longer a main electronic section though they still sell some. This is probably due to the fact that theres a Best Buy nearby. This place is always busy but yeah, shop on!
Fred Meyer staff are always helpful and friendly almost like Les Schwab staff. Fred Meyer is a one stop shop for a number of errands. At most Fred Meyer locations you can typically do everything from banking to purchase gasoline. You can find quality home furnishings, name brand clothing and shoes, beautiful jewelry to automotive care products and dependable outdoor gear. You can get a delicious prepared lunch in the deli or have them quickly prepare you something to go. Either way they serve up some of the tastiest premier NW brands in their deli.Fred Meyers meat and seafood departments inspire weekly get togethers with friends and neighbors. You can find top local organic beef and chicken at attractive prices. The seafood is always fresh and seems so huge; which pairs perfectly with their stunning selection of local national and international beer and wines. Which takes me to my favorite department, the produce department.Produce so pretty and fresh you can almost hear the farmer starting up their tractor bringing it in from the field. Fred Meyers always has a great selection and on occasion surprises me with something that even I may not have tried.Everyone comes to a cookout for the ribs and brews. When they know youve been to Fred Meyer, theyre definitely sticking around to see what delicious creation you got out of the Fred Meyer bakery.I dont know how they do what they do in the bakery, but Im convinced it includes a magic wand. Cookies, cakes, pies and custards oh my. Things I dont know how to pronounce let alone spell. Thankfully, Ive perfected the point and eat, and they totally understand my language.
Great store. Manager is wonderful.
A lifelong Freddys fan, I am disappointed in disappearing favorite brands (and products) with substitutions of Kroger brands. Cheese rubbery; canned fruit containing sloppy cutting, stems and leaves; dry cereal wrong consistency; boxed pudding starchy; I could go on and on. Never thought it possible, but am looking for a new home.
Shopping Sunday evening. Shelves were well stocked and few customers, compared to morning or mid day shopping. Nice experience.
I very much enjoy coming to this Fred Meyer, mainly because of its selection of fresh food - an olive bar, sandwiches, many fresh cheeses, meats, and much more. They have at least four beers on tap, and quite a large wine selection. The store is easy to access of I-5. The only thing I dont like is how the parking is laid out - most of the lots are next to entrances away from the groceries, next to the clothes and household items. The parking lot close to the produce and groceries sections, as well as the main checkouts (which, by the way, have 12 self-checkout stations!), is really small. Otherwise, its a great store.
Meat selection is very nice and high quality. Never been disappointed with the deli. Over all prices are a bit high but the convenience of being able to buy anything here is always nice.
I love this store. Staff are friendly and kind and are approachable. Things can be a little pricey but for a conventional grocer they offer a multitude of vegan, gluten free, and various other options.
One of the three top Fred Meyer stores in the State of Oregon! Their excellent staff and John, the store manager, care about their guests... the Customer! The Produce and Meat Departments are first rate. Prices... quality... service... are reasons why I drive out of town to shop there. Earn points for reduced gas prices at other Fredies locations.
Excellent customer service on Black Friday, which could be draining! With a smile, every employee asked how I was doing and if I needed anything. Then at the checkout, Chris was a polite, funny, and very helpful cashier. Wish all establishments had employees like this Fred Meyer. Thank you for taking the stress out of shopping!
I really enjoyed the new Dip line of clothing. It goes up to my size and the spring dresses are adorable.
This new-renovated Fred Meyer is easy to get to off I5 and has a great grocery selection. It also has lots of good organic options. Prices feel reasonable.
This is a big store. I live near a Fred Meyers and it is half the size of this store. I dont like the parking though. I drive a big vehicle and have to park out in the farther reaches of the lot in order to be able to park without doing a 30 point turn.
Found all my last minute shopping items on sale! They have so many self checkout lanes and someone very attentive to the machines. I was in and out and done with my holiday shopping!!
Great selection, but store had small isles and was poorly laid out.
The produce section in particular is the highlight great organic selection at very affordable prices compared to other grocery stores
Great store. I’ve been shopping here for years, and they vastly improved the layout and selections. Check out lines move at lightning speed, checkers are very friendly. Always a good experience shopping here.
A nice and very large Freddies! Still has a large selection of many manufacturers of clothing. My local store cut way down on their clothing lines. Just a little further, but worth it!
Great customer service. Has nearly everything. Wine department is beautiful, electronics has most of the basics, all cashiers are kind, bottle machine outdated and needs upgraded. No need to send a guy out there every 10 minutes. Other than that a great place to stop by shop, get some Peets coffee, and enjoy the deli with a friendly staff ^.^
This store had a bunch of free samples and I really appreciated it. Great selection of fresh meat. Great friendly staff.
Staff cant seem to figure out how to properly use their masks. Manager could care less. One if the many problems these days. Fred Meyer isnt what it once was.
Great place! Love to shop here, as I can get everything I need in one place. The Tualatin store is one of the larger Fred Meyers.
Convenient location, wide variety, fair prices, plus they display a large American flag in the entrance - makes it feel patriotic.
Yet again another frustrating interaction in the deli department. No acknowledgement that we were waiting, and after 10 minutes of watching the two gentlemen putter around and literally clean a machine (as part of the nightly cleanup) instead of help customers, we walked away. I walk away 2 out of 3 times because of this type of behavior. Maybe a manager could take a look at this department, or check in with the deli department of the Hollywood Fred Meyer location that is excellent!
Lousy management, the place is always dirty and in poor appearance. Items out of stock regularly and horribly high prices. The Wilsonville FM is better.
Fred Meyers is always a pleasure to shop at! The only negative thing that I could find about this store was that their prices were a little bit higher than other grocery stores in the area. The store was clean and had a huge variety of anything you wanted.
I was in a hurry & trying not to be crabby because my busy day wasnt going fast enough. One of my bags was put on the counter instead of in the cart & being in too much of a rush, I missed that it hadnt made it into the cart. I had purchased quite a bit of wine & food for an event I was organizing, and there were quite a few things I needed in that bag. I really could not figure out how I could find the time to go all the way back to the store. I explained to the manager (Donald) that I would find someone to go back & pick it up when he offered to bring it to the event venue for me!! I havent experienced that level of customer service in a very long time! Ill definitely be headed to this FM over other nearby stores in the future!
